WWE Nemesis:

Date:
15th October 2006

Location:
Mohegan Sun Arena, Uncasville CT

Event Music:
The Killers, Bling (Confessions of a King)

Opening video, based on the roll of the dice, and the many outcomes it can lead to, playing into tonight’s main event match.

PYRO

J.R and Coach open the show, and talk about the big matches tonight.

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match:

Mr. Kennedy vs. Shelton Benjamin

Benjamin, accompanied by Theodore Long, attempts to deliver The Brotherhood it’s first piece of championship gold. It’s a strong opener, and with the athleticism of Benjamin, it’s pretty exciting at times, but the King of the Ring is equal to Benjamin, but keeps his offence on the ground. A trip of the leg by Theodore Long on Kennedy allows Shelton to take control, and wears the champion down, showing he is also tactically equal to anyone, despite his high flying antics. Of course, Kennedy makes a stirring comeback, and looks to have it won at one point with the Mic Check, but Long desperately puts his clients foot on the rope, saving the match. Kennedy though by this point is in the ascendancy, and drags Benjamin up, to the top corner, looking for the Green Bay Plunge … but Shelton avoids it, and counters INTO A TOP ROPE TORNADO DDT!!! Shelton hooks the leg, 1...2...*Kennedy puts a foot on the rope … but Theodore throws it off!!!*…3!!!!!!!!!!

Winner: And NEW Intercontinental Champion - SHELTON BENJAMIN @ 13:19

The Brotherhood scoop a championship!!! After 2 and a half years as a unit, The Brotherhood finally clinch a championship, ending Kennedys reign after a measly 6 weeks!!! The ‘Black Diamond’ Shelton Benjamin wins his second Intercontinental Championship, and it’s all down to his manager, Theodore Long!!! The duo hug on the outside, before they raise the title up high, as we look in the ring and see Kennedy slowly coming to, seemingly not realising what exactly happened, after having his brain scrambled by the DDT, and may not even be aware he put his foot on the rope.

Backstage, we see the arrival of the World Heavyweight Champion, Christian, as J.R and Coach discuss the main event tonight, which could well see the end of his six month title reign.

This leads to a short video of the first ever Roll of the Dice match, back at WrestleMania, which was contested over two falls, with Carlito and Mysterio the two victors on that evening.

Backstage again, the celebrations begin for The Brotherhood, with champagne - NOT Kool-Aid - being opened, whilst Long declares tonight will see The Brotherhood stamp their authority on Raw, and take the womens title too.

6 Man Tag Team Match:

The Horsemen vs. Carlito & Straight Edge

It’s six man action, with Carlito looking much more vibrant, much more confident now, having finally gotten the losing monkey, off his back, and having done it in style, beating the greatest of all time to do it. Punk and Helms continue to impress as a duo too, but The Horsemen seem to be off a step this evening, and despite gaining the upper hand, they never look to have everything under control. It’s your generic tag team match I’m afraid, and Punk takes a beating, but manages to recover, and makes a hot tag to CCC, which leads to a six man war zone. The Horsemen almost steal it, with Cade catching Carlito unaware, nailing him with a big boot, followed by the Razors Edge, but Punk gets involved before anything can come of it, taking Cade out of the ring. Meanwhile, Ric Flair gets back inside, and looks to finish off Carlito, but gets distracted as Dinsmore slides him in a chair, taking his eyes off Carlito for a split second. He goes for the chair, but the referee stops him, and Flair puts his hands up in innocence … but gets caught from behind with the Back Cracker!!! Carlito makes the cover, 1...2...3!!!

Winners: Carlito & Straight Edge @ 11:14

Carlito scores another victory … over Ric Flair!!! Again, Carlito comes up trumps against The Nature Boy. CCC & Straight Edge have their arms raised in the ring, whilst Cade and Dinsmore simply walk out on their mentor, despite it being Dinsmores fault that he was beaten!!!

1ST TIME WRESTLEMANIA MOMENT - I - QUITE SIMPLY, THE FIRST EVER WRESTLEMANIA, BEGINNING TWO DECADES OF HISTORY.

The VP then ends with the graphic for WRESTLEMANIA XXIII - MARCH 18TH 2007 - FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER IN NEW ORLEANS.

Backstage, Dinsmore and Cade come back to the locker room, and start complaining to Randy Orton about Ric Flair costing them a victory tonight. Flair then enters the room, and argues that it was down to Dinsmore that he was beaten. Cade and Dinsmore then attempt to verbally gang up on Flair, but Flair stands his ground, telling them he’s made them household names, and after all he has done in his career, he shouldn’t have to answer to two wet behind the ear punks. Orton interjects now, and tells the three men, even talking down to Flair, that he’ll deal with it tomorrow, but tonight, his focus is purely on winning his third World Title.

Back into the arena…

Special Challenge Match:

Umaga vs. Rhyno

Fearless as ever, The Man Beast puts up a hell of a battle, but ultimately just isn’t able to overcome the indomitable Umaga. He does take The Samoan Savage off his feet, and even manages to score a couple of near falls, but the writing is on the wall, when Umaga is able to kick out of the Gore. Rhyno cant believe it, and attempts it a second time, but misses, which leads to his downfall. From here, Umaga re-establishes his dominance, and tears Rhyno apart, and despite the frivolous fight put up by the last ever ECW Champion, Umaga is just far too dominant to beat, finishing the Man Beast off with the deadly Samoan Spike, 1...2...3!!!

Winner: Umaga @ 06:57

What else would you expect?? Umaga remains undefeated, but hasn’t came closer to defeat than tonight, with Rhyno really giving it a great shot, falling just short. The question remains … who, if anyone, can stop The Samoan Bulldozer??

A quick VP plays, hyping next months 20th Annual Survivor Series, from Houston, Texas, where of course the Smackdown Main Event has already been announced, with Rob Van Dam and his team, taking on a team selected by Paul Heyman, with RVDs title up against Heymans position, with the loser having to relinquish their prize asset.

In their room, we see Vince, Stephanie and Triple H, all sat, discussing their next move, with Mr. McMahon declaring that they’ll let the world know later tonight.

Backstage, Todd Grisham interviews Alexis Laree, ahead of her womens title match. Laree comments on the Brotherhood factor, but remains confident that she’ll overcome the obstacles and retain her title.

WWE Womens Championship;
Triple Threat Match:

Jillian Hall vs. Alexis Laree vs. Jazz

From the get go, Long makes his presence felt, which forces Jillian and Alexis to put their animosity aside, and team up, to try and over come the outside interference, and manage to nail Long with a double dropkick, knocking him off the apron. From that, Jillian blind sides Alexis, and their short lived friendship is over already. Jazz is the dominant force of the match, and displays her rugged, man like power, with both the champion and former champion struggling to match her. Near falls come aplenty, and the match is eventually a fairly level contest between the three ladies. As the finish looms near, it looks like Theodore Long, now recovered, could be the deciding factor, and distracts the referee as Alexis has Hall beaten, allowing Jazz to break the cover, and slam Laree with a Fisherman Buster, but Hall breaks the count at the last second. Long then gets on the apron again, but this time, as he jaws with Hall, Jazz goes to dropkick the female, but she moves, and Jazz hits Long instead, sending him off the apron. Jillian then tosses Jazz out behind him, and pulls Laree to her feet, but Alexis catches Jillian by surprise with an inside cradle, 1...2...3!!!

Winner: And STILL Womens Champion - Alexis Laree @ 08:29

Laree retains, and The Brotherhoods dream of double gold is killed off, at least for one night. Laree celebrates in the ring, fending off a sneak attack from a disgruntled Jillian Hall, whilst Jazz and Theodore help each other up the ramp, as Alexis stands strong in the ring, holding her title belt high in the air.

Backstage, we see Melina standing, watching on a monitor Alexis celebrating in the ring with the title. Nitro and Mercury then join her, as she asks them ‘how do you think I’d look with gold around my waist??’. The three smile, as we fade out.

Fanatix Series Commercial - This Month - The Chronicles of The Undertaker

The graphics appear of John Cena and Finlay, as J.R and Coach discuss their upcoming match, before throwing over to a video package.

VP for Cena - Finlay.

No Count Outs, No Disqualifications, Falls Count Anywhere:

John Cena vs. Finlay

Cena meets Finlay on the aisle, not even letting the fighting Irishman get to the ring before starting the match. The two men brawl down the aisle, and into the crowd, up the steps, and back down, getting into the ring for a split second, before getting back out, and up the aisle!!! Cena goes for an early FU trying to nail it OFF THE STAGE, but Finlay fights out, and the two men eventually brawl to the back. Backstage, both men go for a couple of covers, but none go any further than an early kick out at two, as they brawl through the hallway, into the cafeteria, into the womens locker room, where we get a brief nipple shot of Candice, before fighting out of there, and into the male locker room, with Cena throwing Finlay into a cold bath!!! They brawl back out of the locker room, and down the hallway again. Suddenly, THE LITTLE BASTARD make an appearance, and starts biting at the legs of Cena, distracting him, allowing Finlay to take control. The Irishman attempts to use the Little Bastard as a battering ram, but Cena moves, and the leprechaun GOES THROUGH A WALL!!! (Obviously one of those flimsy walls).

Finlay doesn’t even seem to care, and goes back on the attack to Cena, with the two men brawling back into the arena, and finally to the ring, where things calm down for a few moments, and it begins to resemble something of a wrestling match. After a few moments of simple back and forth in the ring, both men begin to make a move for weapons at ringside, bringing out a trash can and stop sign from under the ring, smacking the objects off each other, looking to cause as much damage as humanly possible. Finlay takes over, and looks to finish off Cena with the Shillelagh, but Cena blocks it, and wrestles the weapon from the Irishman, before SMACKING Finlay across the face with the wooden object!!! FINLAY COMES BACK UP BUSTED WIDE OPEN!!! Resembling classic Ric Flair with the electric blonde hair turning crimson red, Finlay tries to make an escape, as Cena looks to be on a different zone. Cena catches Finlay on the ramp, delivering a thunderous hip toss. Finlay continues to try and get away, with Cena in hot pursuit, following the Irishman as he crawls through the curtain to the backstage area again. It’s all Cena at this point, finally proving he IS back to his best, showing absolutely no compassion for his bloody adversary. Cena rams Finlay through double doors, and into the parking lot, with Finlay trying to fight back, but is thoroughly overpowered by Cena, who drops Finlay onto the windscreen with a back body drop, cracking the glass. Cena still isn’t finished, and drags Finlay onto the top of the car, DELIVERING A THUNDEROUS FU!!! Cena hooks the leg on top of the car, taking full advantage of the falls count anywhere stipulation, 1...2...3!!!

Winner: John Cena @ 19:44

Cena IS back!!! After two months of turmoil for the former World Champion, Cena proves his critics wrong, and puts his HIAC torment behind him, once and for all, with an emphatic, convincing win against Finlay.

A Video Package airs for the 700th Edition of Raw, on October 23rd.

**KING OF KINGS**
And Triple H, along with Mr. McMahon and Stephanie enter the arena, to an emphatic heat filled response. The trio come to the ring, and look set to cut a promo {Is this Raw???}. Stephanie opens up proceedings, telling the world about her child, that nobody cares about, and the childs perfect father {so it’s no Triple H??}, which leads to Triple H getting on the mic, and goes all gooey, before proposing to Stephanie for them to get re-married. No one cares, but Stephanie accepts. At this point, Vince interrupts, and says he’s putting his foot down, and there will be NO MARRIAGE … at least for now … not until Triple H has the World Heavyweight Championship. This leads to Vince announcing that Triple H will challenge whomever the champion is on the 700th Raw. The Game is ecstatic, but why the hell are we promoting a television show on PPV???
Just as it looks like we’re set for happy families … Shane McMahon enters the scene, appearing on screen for the first time since WrestleMania, when he was mangled by Triple H. Shane apologises for interrupting the party, then recalls the events of WM 22, before asking his father, and his sister how they can stand by the side of a man that tried to decapitate their flesh and blood. He says he didn’t leave hospital for six weeks after WrestleMania, couldn’t eat solid food for two months, and up until August was forced to walk around with a walking stick. He says he still is feeling the effects of WM, and the doctors have told him he shouldn’t be doing anything, but resting. However, it will be a cold day in hell when he watches Triple H reclaim the World Title, and it’ll be over his dead body that The Game marries back into his family.
Given that promise, Triple H states ‘why don’t you come down here, and I can make that happen’. Shane, never known for his brains, accepts the invitation, and bizarrely has the upper hand for a moment, knocking down HHH with a comedic flying clothesline, and pounds his Dad into the corner, but stops short at hitting Stephanie, which allows The Game to attack from behind. After a momentary beat down, The Game, under orders from Vince, delivers a Pedigree to Shane, then looks set to go for the Sledgehammer, but Vince shows compassion, and tells HHH that’s enough, with The Game not fussed, accepting the call. The trio stand over the broken body of Shane, as J.R and Coach talk up the title shot for Triple H on October 23rd.

Backstage, we see Brock Lesnar preparing for the title match later tonight, hoping to claim his fifth championship, and his first since WrestleMania 22.

Kelly Kelly interviews Booker T & Elijah Burke ahead of their title opportunity next. Both men seemed pumped up, with Booker especially fired up, promising to take away the titles from MNM.

World Tag Team Championships Match:

MNM vs. Booker T & Elijah Burke

It’s a strong tag team match, with Booker and Burke taking MNM by surprise in the early going with sparkling offence, and awesome double team moves, forcing Nitro and Mercury to take a walk. The challengers don’t wait though, and chase MNM, attacking them on the outside, getting them back in the ring. Eventually, MNM get back into it, but the match doesn’t follow the natural, formula for tag matches, as the heel team don’t have a really dominant spell, instead, it’s even Steven throughout, with MNM looking consistently frustrated at being unable to get a handle on the hungry challengers. Burke looks for the Elijah Express in the corner on Mercury, but Nitro on the apron, pulls Mercury out, and Burke hit’s the corner in agony. This sparks Booker into action, and he comes in like a steam train, going through Nitro and Mercury, eventually hitting the Scissors Kick on Mercury, but Nitro then takes the veteran to the outside. Burke crawls for a cover on Mercury, and hooks the leg, but the referee is too busy looking at what is going on, on the outside with Booker down, as Nitro scrambles back in, clocking Burke from behind with the title belt, quickly throwing Mercurys arm over the challenger, sliding out of the ring, whilst Melina grabs Bookers leg, stopping him from breaking the count, 1...2...3!!!

Winners: And STILL World Tag Team Champions - MNM @ 11:58

The champions steal it!!! Booker pulls free from Melina just too late to get in the ring, with Nitro pulling Mercury out, getting out of dodge. The champions escape up the ramp, with Booker holding the ropes open, begging them to come back for some more, knowing they had the champions beat tonight, but MNM retain the titles again by hook or crook.

Backstage, Todd Grisham is standing by with Shawn Michaels. HBK is asked about the title match up next of course, and The Showstopper makes it clear that nothing is standing in his way tonight, regardless of where the dice might fall.

We then see Rey Mysterio knelt down in the locker room, praying, just moment away from his title opportunity - his first PPV main event.

Elsewhere, we see the next #1 Contender, Triple H, along with Vince & Stephanie McMahon, sitting back, relaxing, ahead of watching the main event.

Roll of the Dice Match V.P

In the ring, Lillian Garcia introduces the ‘Dice Master’ - Eric Bischoff. The GM enters, and talks up the 6 possible matches, before taking the fairly big dice - not comedically big - and rolls it down the aisle, with it stopping just at the ring, landing on … 6.

The fans go apeshit, as they get TABLES, LADDERS AND CHAIRS!!! Bischoff exit’s the stage, and the intros begin.

World Heavyweight Championship:
Roll of the Dice Match:

-
1: ELIMINATION MATCH - 2: GAUNTLET MATCH - 3: LAST MAN STANDING - 4: QUINTET FREE FOR ALL - 5: STEEL CAGE MATCH - 6: TLC MATCH

Christian vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Brock Lesnar vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Orton

It’s carnage from the get go, with all five men trying to end it quickly, all looking to climb the ladder to victory, and all five don’t get a clear run they want. Lesnar and Orton seem to strike up an early alliance, going for Mysterio, whilst Michaels and Christian pair off against one another. The champion and HBK take each other out climbing a ladder, and after Lesnar & Orton beat down Rey, they then fall apart at the seams, when it comes to actually going for a win. They end up fighting up the ramp, which gives Rey a chance to swoop in, and go for victory, but Christian is there to stop him, and topples the ladder, sending Rey out of the ring.

Tables then make their mark with Christian setting a few up in the ring, whilst Michaels sets a few up on the outside. Orton makes it back to the ring after landing an RKO on Lesnar on the entrance. Now, things get a little crazy, with Orton pushing Christian off the ladder, through the table set up by Michaels on the outside. HBK gets inside, and goes at it now with Orton, the two men both using the ladder in the ring, but it’s Michaels on top, and in a moment, reminiscent to WM 10, Michaels splashes off the ladder, crashing onto Orton!!! Mysterio is back in the ring now, and makes the first real attempt at victory, climbing the ladder, but is stopped by Michaels, who meets him on the other side, and the two trade blows, before HBK knocks Mysterio off, but Rey lands in the ropes, and falls into the ladder, with Michaels going off, CROTCHING HIMSELF ON THE TOP ROPE!!! Shawn lands on the outside, and Rey has another go at climbing, but now, BROCK LESNAR is back, and he stops Rey at the top. Meanwhile, Christian brings a table into the ring, setting it up, whilst Orton holds onto the ladder, which allows Brock TO SCOOP REY UP … AND DELIVER AN F5 FROM THE TOP OF THE LADDER THROUGH THE TABLE!!!!! Lesnar doesn’t even survey the damage, and instead, attempts to end the match, but Orton shakes the ladder, but instead of falling off, Brock just slowly climbs down, saving himself. As he gets down, Orton and Christian team up for a moment, and send him out of the ring with a double clothesline. This leaves Orton and Christian to go at it for a few moments, with both men using the ladder as a weapon, with Randy on top. He then looks to deliver an RKO … but Lesnar stops him, and GOES CRAZY WITH A CHAIR!!! Lesnar nails Orton, Christian, Michaels and Mysterio, wailing on all four men, taking them all out, leaving a free run at the title belt.
He climbs, but suddenly, he is stopped, as Christian and Michaels are up, and work together, toppling the ladder, and Lesnar, sending him crashing to the outside, continuing the match. Over the course of the middle section of the main event match, we see Michaels nailing the Elbow off the ladder, crashing through Christian on a table, Orton superplexes Mysterio off the ladder, Lesnar re-emerges to power bomb Christian off the ladder through a table, whilst Mysterio delivers the 619 to Michaels, with a ladder in the way!!! Christian drops Orton off the ladder with a reverse DDT, and Michaels flies off the ladder with a cross body TO THE OUTSIDE on Lesnar and Christian!!! Mysterio attempts to deliver the 619 to Orton with a chair in the way, but Randy moves, then smashes the chair against the skull of Rey, sending him off the apron and through a table on the outside, whilst Christian delivers a scintillating Frog Splash off the ladder attempting to put Lesnar through a table, but MISSES CRASHING AND BURNING!!! Then, in a spot involving all five men, Orton and Michaels occupy one ladder, whilst Christian and Mysterio climb another, battling at the top, until Lesnar stops them, with a chair in hand, taking Christian off with chair shots to the back, and does the same to Michaels, before pushing BOTH ladders over, sending Orton crashing out of the ring, and Mysterio out on the other side!!!
Now, with the finishing line in sight, Christian and Mysterio both take each other to the outside, with Rey hitting a head scissors, with HBK and Orton brawling in the ring. This leaves Brock with an opportunity to climb and win, but it goes pear shaped, as Michaels nails Sweet Chin Music on Orton, and Orton falls back into the ladder … and Lesnar topples off the ladder, THROUGH THE TABLES ON THE OUTSIDE!!! Michaels dumps Randy out of the ring too, and tries to climb to victory, but Christian is back in, and takes him down … WITH AN ELECTRIC CHAIR OFF THE LADDER … ONTO A STEEL CHAIR!!! Christian now thinks he has a chance to win, but Rey is back to stop him, and after a few chair shot teases from both men … Mysterio connects with a TORNADO DDT THROUGH A SET UP CHAIR FOLDING IT IN TWO!!! Suddenly, Orton is back in, and takes Rey from behind. He looks to deliver an RKO onto the ladder, but Mysterio counters, and drops Randy on the object, back first!!! Rey sets the ladder up, and begins to climb, but from the other side is Shawn Michaels, and the two men eventually meet at the top, trading blows back and forth, one big shot away from a sure fire victory.
Now though, Brock Lesnar re-enters the ring, and pushes the ladder over, with Michaels falling over the top, and to the outside, landing against the barricade … but Rey, at the last second, got to the second ladder, and tries to scurry up the rungs, before Brock can stop him. But Lesnar spots him, and with his unmitigated power, hoists the ladder from the bottom, and MYSTERIO GOES BACKWARD … THROUGH THE FOUR TABLES PILED ON THE OUTSIDE!!! Lesnar sets the ladder back up, and looks to climb, but NOW … IN COMES ORTON!!! Randy follows The Iron Man up the ladder, clubbing the back, and after what seems an eternity, turns Brock over AND DELIVERS AN RKO OFF THE LADDER!!! Both men go down, Lesnar rolls to the outside, as Orton slowly recuperates, and begins to pull himself up the ladder, but as he does, Christian gets back inside, and repositions the other ladder, next to Ortons ladder, and climbs it a little, stopping Orton, and awkwardly, hooks him up, into position, and manages to deliver THE UNPRETTIER FROM HALFWAY UP THE LADDER!!!!! Nothing happens for a few moments, everyone is down, Rey isn’t moving, Lesnar doesn’t seem to know where he is at, Orton and Christian are both down, but SHAWN MICHAELS is getting back inside. The Showstopper crawls inside, and climbs the ladder, but as he climbs closer to the top … CHRISTIAN is back up, and Captain Charisma in a final act of desperation to save his title, pushes the ladder over … SENDING MICHAELS CRASHING OUT OF THE RING … THROUGH THE TABLES ON THE FINAL SIDE OF THE RING!!! The champion climbs the ladder, with a free run, no one making any sign of a comeback, and reaches up … UNHOOKS THE TITLE … AND WINS THE MATCH!!!

Winner: And STILL World Heavyweight Champion - CHRISTIAN @ 28:10

Christian remains on the top of the ladder, clutching his title, having come through a barbaric war to retain the championship, solidifying his place on the top of the food chain on Raw. Meanwhile, we look at the broken bodies, with Lesnar stumbling up the ramp having lost in his first ladder match, whilst paramedics assist Mysterio who has still not moved after crashing through a group of tables. Meanwhile, Orton begins to stumble out of the ring, holding his neck in pain, before we see paramedics coming to the aide of Michaels after his sick landing at the end. The show ends with a final look at the champion, holding his title aloft, on top of the ladder still, as we go off the air.

END OF SHOW

Default Re: Being The Booker

Nemesis Review

This looks to be a great event, even though the Roll of the Match for the WHC kinda takes away from all the others.

Perfect way to start the show and I know that Kennedy and Benjamin would have great chemistry in the ring together. Shelton as a heel is perfect with Teddy as his manager and T Lo already makes his presence felt, putting Shelton’s foot on the rope. That counter into a DDT off the top would look sick but Kennedy gets a foot on the rope … BUT T LO THROWS IT OFF!!! Kennedy loses the IC Title early!!! I like getting the Brotherhood over as a heel group and I really hope you continue this feud or just move Kennedy into the main event already.

Christian arriving is standard WWE but is Tomko still with him? The first Roll of the Dice match was epic and I think this one should be just as good.

Brotherhood celebration is a little early and I don’t see Jazz getting the title just yet.

I like this little six-man feud and I think it is good for The Horsemen until Cade and Dinsmore get into one-on-one feuds with bigger guys eventually. I didn’t expect anything but a standard match but I would have liked to see Helms take the beating instead of Punk, Punk >>> Helms, imo. Very good ending with the heels trying to cheat but getting caught and Carlito gets another win over Naitch!!! Cade and Dinsmore walking out make me think … is Randy Orton going to kick Flair out of The Horsemen? Intriguing.

Just as I thought, a little friction between The Horsemen. I like how Flair stood up to the two young guys but I am sure that the focus will be solely on Orton for the rest of the night.

Rhyno coming out of the box strong is good for him but I knew that he wouldn’t be able to withstand Umaga. Rhyno getting the Gore was surprising but I guess that was just to make Umaga look like even more of a beast. Samoan Spike is academic and now Umaga moves another step up the ladder, hopefully playing a big role for Survivor Series.

Survivor Series is going to be huge and it is a shame you won’t be doing it in full. I like the stipulation for the Smackdown main event, I really hope RVD doesn’t lose the belt just yet.

I knew there was a reason why Triple H was off the card and I think the announcement later should be huge.

Alexis is a great Women’s Champion and I don’t see her losing just yet. Teddy getting taken out by both Jillian and Alexis is hilarious and I really hope T Lo doesn’t steal another title for his dominant faction. Jazz is the most dominant diva but I knew that Teddy being on the ring is a bad idea and I was right after the kick from Jazz. Alexis retaining with a small package is OK and I think she will feud one-on-one with Jazz after this title defense.

Actually, maybe she will feud with Melina

Cena vs. Finlay has been surprising well-built and I hope that we see an awesome match. I love how the ‘falls count anywhere’ stipulation has been started early and going into the Women’s locker room with Candice equals ratings, imo. Little Bastard (can’t we just say Hornswoggle?) going through the wall is hilarious and I hope that this match turns from comedy to business quickly. This match never really was in the ring but that is OK because the weapon use was great. Cena dominates the later stages and the F-U to cap it was the best move. Cena looks to be back to where he was before SummerSlam but I am still confused as to whether he is a heel or a face. Heel would be awesome, imo.

I like how the whole Vince-Triple H storyline has played out and Triple H as a heel is much better, especially with people having his back. The marriage proposal is something that would be done on Raw and I am schocked to see Triple H get another title shot, in just eight days. Shane returning was a shock and I forgot all about Shane vs. Triple H at WM22, you sure do know how to write long-term angles. Shane getting beat down is no surprise and now it looks like Vince, Steph, and Triple H are the most dominant group on Raw. Not really sure when Triple H wins the title though. Late in 2006, me thinks.

Surprised to see the tag match go on so late but I guess you gotta have a break before the main event. I like the team of Booker and Elijah and they are very hungry challengers. MNM used every heel tactic in the book and Nitro’s use of the title belt was awesome, great way to have them retain. The tag team division is great on Raw and I see MNM facing some tough challenges in the next few months. Straight Edge as next challengers, imo.

Rey and HBK were the only two not shown early so it make sense to have them in a little segment. Triple H will challenge the winner and I see Christian vs. Triple H II on 10/23 would be great.

TLC!!! This should be an amazing match with tons of huge spots. This was an amazing match, even in recap. I loved all the huge spots and Lesnar was especially impressive, with this being his first ladder match. Some of the best moments were the 619 with the ladder and also the powerbomb through the table. The ending was very exciting and I knew that HBK would get pushed off the ladder, just like Armageddon 2002. Christian was barely able to retain to keep his great reign going. Now we have Christian vs. Triple H for the belt on Raw 10/23 and that should be awesome. Very good main event, match of the year possibly?

Overall, this PPV was solid from top to bottom. The best matches were the IC Title match, Cena vs. Finlay, and of course the main event. I really liked where some storylines are going after this event and I hope that the next WHC feud is a great one-on-one feud. The only thing I didn’t like was Kennedy losing so early in his reign and also Triple H not having a more heinous assault on Shane. Everything else was top notch Wolf, 9/10.

Default Re: Being The Booker

Ok I didn't leave predictions on Nemesis but still I'm going to throw some comments down. I did however read everything that happened up to Nemesos so at least I am in the know.

Ok kicking off with the gold on the line. Let Benjamin go by the "Golden Standard" like he is now in the WWE. It'd make sense considering he ist he first champion of the Brotherhood. I remember a while back when Brotherhood was rarely appearing on Raw and now they have been built into a good credible team. Good job on that and I think after the ending there is no doubt that a rematch is coming soon. I wouldn't rule out a Brotherhood vs. Team Kennedy match at Survivor Series.

Lol at the kool-aid remark. Hope Mac didn't see it.

Moving on. The Carlito losing streak seemed as if it was built up well and apparently it ran right up after WrestleMania until now. Seems good since he was on such a hot streak prior to WrestleMania. TBH, I was kinda shocked that Carlito and Straight Edge did win but now that I think about it Carlito needed to build off of that big losing streak and two wins over the Nature Boy is big certainly. Afterwards backstage is just a small friction between the Horsemen and I really hope the team doesn't break off until at least early 2007 at the earliest. They've been put over well so far by Flair big time and need all the help they can get before they break off. But I think Flair might have a face run in him in this thread very soon.

Not much to comment on other than the fact that Umaga is a BEAST! Kinda shocked that you let Rhyno give him his toughest test yet but Rhyno certainly is not a slouch so that makes sense. I guess considering Rhyno's been more or less of a jobber for a year or so might have to do why I couldn't believe it.

This McMahon/Helmsley thing is very intriguing and after reading what happened this is showing that they are THE most dominant group out of the handful of stables there is on Raw right now.

Alexis Laree lol. It's funny just to not picture her known as Mickie James right now in the WWE. Kinda weird lol. But um anyways good win tonight over two top divas and I definently wouldn't mind seeing Jazz get another title run soon. She needs to rep Louisiana all she can!

Overall looking at the Cena/Finlay match it seemed like one HELL of a fight. I still am laughing at Hornswoggle being thrown through the wall. I'd laugh my ass off if WWE really did that. Seriously good job on that! HAha. But moving on glad to see that it took a turn away from the funny parts of the match and became what Cena needed: an all out-fight. Glad to see Cena win and shows that he won't take crap from anybody. Definently looked like "superman" Tonight lol.

The McMahon/Helmsley situation is without a doubt the hottest thing going on in the thread right now hands down! Seriously it's been interesting from the get go and I couldn't have ever imagined that this would have been the reason why the Shane O Mac vs. HHH match took place at WrestleMania. Miniature feud coming possibly with Shane o Mac inserting himself. I definently could see a match at SS because I can't see Hunter winning the title JUST YET.

Good win for MNM as I knew all along that Burke and Booker weren't going to win. Like someone mentioned before it seems like Straight Edge is being breeded to be the next tag champs which I definently have no problem with.

Overall WILD main event. Seriously it never seemed like a dull moment. Now I did like the Roll of the Dice Match back at WrestleMania and it was cool here tonight to see that a TLC match was picked. I don't think you've had one of these on a show in a while so no doubt that it was a wild match. Christian took one hell of a beating throughout the night and he has to be the luckiest SOB ever. Seriously he is looking like greatness right now with this title run he's had. Only one person is left and that's...The Game.

Default Re: Being The Booker

The Black Diamond is an awesome nickname, btw. Not a fan of Kennedy losing the Intercontinental Championship, since I expected an epic run, but Benji’s definitely not a bad choice, and KK doesn’t look bad in the loss. Brotherhood actually looking good for a change.

Can’t believe Flair is being treated like shit. Kinda ironic that Cade is about to fuck this thing up, after fucking up his relationship with Michaels. I know you’re gonna break this group up, or at least knock Flair from it, but I don’t think Dinsmore nor Cade can thrive with the change.

Rhyno sucks. Umaga owns. Easy move.

Mickie owns even harder than Umaga. Easier move. Mickie-Melina feud was rather prominent on WWE Television last year, so not the best timing in the world, but I think you can do something special with it.

Nipple shot of Candice? Lmao. I like Finlay, but I loved the way Cena got back to being Cena and was just on a completely different level than the Irishman, who couldn’t hang with him. Just perfect. Now, I don’t what’s next for Cena. Probably Christian … or maybe even Triple H since he’s re-turned heel.

I had almost completely forgotten about Shane-Hunter at WM. This thing just gets more and more complicated as it goes along. Not sure what exactly that jobber Shane could do to stop Vince and Hunter, but knowing you, it won’t be expected. Btw, I had something planned with the McMahons and Hunter so I hope you don’t steal it.

Booker’s over the hell, and MNM are one of the top tandems of the current era, so this win comes as no real surprise. Straightedge are the next contenders for those belts, one would have to assume.

Complete and utter spotfest, as I’d figure would happen in a TLC Match. Was rather enjoyable to read though, even in recap form (though it was kinda hard to decipher how long some of the guys were out from those high-impact spots). Christian winning is the right move at the moment, and I’ve almost just noticed that Raw might be too loaded. Christian, Orton, Michaels, Lesnar, Mysterio, Cena, and Hunter, along with one or two other guys right there. That’s a lot of people on the top tier. Should be interesting to see how the pieces begin to fall into place over the next couple of weeks.

Solid recap per always.

Nemesis Review:

Kennedy/Benjamin opening the show was a good way to start things off. However a few more minutes could have made the match even more better, IMO. Benjamin as new IC Champ=Ratings!

The Captain is in the Building! The Main Event should be off the charts!

Seems as if all is well with the Brotherhood here tonight, as they already got the bottles popping with champagene for the group.

Surprised to see The Horsemen not pick up the win, as they are the better build group IMO.

If you're going to break up the Horsemen, at least wait a couple of months, as imo, they still have a lot of momentum left as a group.

Umaga winning was expected, though Rhino did give a huge effort in the match.

Great VP for Survivor Series, and what a match the SD Main Event will be.

The Women's Championship match was great as well. Alexis is still the champ which is good, though a possible feud with Jazz looks to be in the works. Also, I think this is the only thread where Mickie James is still known under her Alexis Laree name.

What a match Cena/Finlay looked to be. As someone else mentioned this was the type of match both men needed to establish themselves even more in this thread.

Excellent promo from the McMahons and Hunter. Hunter getting a World Title Match at the 700th Raw in eight days is huge.

Surprised to see the tag team title match this late in the card, but it was still a good match. I wanted Book and Elijah to pick up the win and the titles, but that didn't happened. Still a great match.

TLC Match! Now that is what's up! Excellent Main Event and definately MOTN. All the competitors gave their all, and Christian truly deserves being the champion after winning this big match!

Great PPV even in recap form. I think this is my first review in this thread since your return from last year. I've been reading the shows since you returned and once more your Summerslam PPV was off the charts. The buildup to Survivor Series in this thread should be great. The Survivor Series, if written in full, should be a BTB Classic!

Sorry about the lateness

Well, I can safely say that I wasn't expecting Kennedy to lose the IC Titl here; I had him pegged to get a major run with the belt before elevating to the Main Event scene. But then again, I also thought that Benjamin's first reign and Finlay's reign would last longer The finish screams screw job though, thanks to the awesomeness of Teddy Long, so a rematch is pretty much a given. I honestly don't know what to expect from Shelton's reign though. With the Brotherhood behind him he could be an awesome heel Champion, though everytime I think that, we get a new IC Champ a month later. I wouldn't be surprised to see him drop it to Carlito or someone along those lines. Also, like Mac said, 'The Black Diamond' is one of the coolest nicknames you've thought of in ages.

I have to admit, it'd be pretty awesome if Jazz won the Women's title and the Brotherhood became dominant. The more T-Lo the better.

Definately a good thing to see Carlito back on track. This was a pretty big win for him and Straight Edge, as The Horsemen are no slouches in this thread. The way I see it, Carlito will go after the IC title soon enough and Straight Edge will go after the tag titles. I don't know if I'm too keen on The Horsemen breaking up {as was suggested during and after the match} since Orton just filled that big Batista shaped hole that was sorely needed. Cade and Dinsmore would become jobbers after a split, even though Orton and Flair wouldn't.

No real shocker to see Rhyno get crushed by Umaga. 'Mags is on his way to the top. Rhyno is on his way down to jobberdom. 'Nuff said. It will be interesting to see who the big man faces next.

I kind of wanted Jazz to get the win and make Teddy Long THE MAN on Raw, but I guess it makes more sense to have the youngster, Laree, retain the gold. T-Lo's interference another high point. Melina to be the next challenger?? I like it, although her and Mickie have clashed A LOT before.

Oh dear, poor Finlay I really wasn't expecting this kind of treatment for the Irishman, but I guess it makes sense to have Cena explode back onto scene like this. To tell the truth, I dislike matches that spill backstage alot, as they remind me of the crappy Hardcore matches of old. : @ Little Bastard going through a wall. Got to love the finish though, F-Uing Finlay on the car. I personally thought Cena would 'get back on track' with a heel turn, so I don't know what's next. Main Eventing for sure again. I think Finlay should go to SD, where there isn't so much ME talent.

Interesting segment from Hunter and the McMahons. I still find it a bit odd that HHH has had a face and heel turn so close together. No way should Hunter get the title on the 700th Raw. Hopefully whoever {Christian} overcomes the odds yet again. Glad Shane is back, though I can't see him taking on this face role again. Despite the beat down, I think Shane 'O will turn heel and join his family soon enough. Still not completely into this storyline yet I'm afraid.

Great win for MNM over Burke and Booker, using those glorious heel tactics. Right call having Booker take the fall, as he's on his way down. I can't see he and Burke staying together long. Elijah needs to show off some of his heelish awesomeness. Straight Edge up next for the Champs though for sure.

Absolutely insane Main Event, Wolfy. I didn't think you would opt for the TLC Match due to the unrealism of it. Props to you for that. I felt a bit sorry for Rey Rey, as he took an absolute beating in this match, worse than any of the others. Lesnar was the monster of the match, especially when it came to F-5ing people off ladders Christian tking out Michaels to get the win would hve me assume that this 'thing' between them will continue, giving Christian a one-on-one feud. I'm glad you're making CC strong now. It makes up for his lackluster start.

Great recap, Wolfy, a really fun read. Looking forward to the next happenings.

Thanks for the replies. I've either already responded in kind, or I'll get to you next time you've got something to read .

Apologies for this not coming out like it was supposed to in term of spacing etc. Nothing seems to space like I want it to when copying and pasting these days...

Feel free to leave thoughts predictions etc, expect the Survivor Series recap late during the week.

Non Survivor Series related News and Notes:

The biggest piece of news would come on October 23rd - the 700th edition of Raw, where Triple H faced World Champion, Christian, in a rematch for the championship, weeks after the Season Premiere, when Christian overcame the interference of Vince McMahon. This time, Christian faced Triple H, backed by Vince, and Stephanie, but on the champions side would be Shane McMahon - or so he thought. Deep into the match, Christian was fighting off the outside interference, with Shane running to help the champion and foil Triple H … but instead, Shane threw a chair to Triple H … and distracted the referee, allowing Triple H to nail Christian, and deliver a Pedigree, BRINGING TRIPLE H HIS TENTH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!! The Game marks the tenth world championship change on Raw, with his tenth world title reign, all thanks to the McMahon Family!!!

Shane would explain his actions the following week, with a real cop out, that he loves his family more than anything, and after all that the family has been through, he’s willing to let bygones be bygones if it means the Mcmahons can be a happy family unit. And if Stephanie does love Triple H, that’s good enough for him. Sickeningly, he and HHH shared a hug, as it would be announced the happy couple {Triple H & Steph, not Shane} would re-marry on the following week. The marriage though didn’t go to plan, with Christian ‘objecting’ to the marriage, saying that Triple H is in love with someone else other than Stephanie … himself. He calls the marriage a sham, saying the priest isn’t even a priest … and the cameraman isn’t really a cameraman. Suddenly, Shane McMahon, ‘The Best Man’, is given a big boot from the priest, who rips off a wig, and glasses, along with part of a prosthetic mask, and fake belly, to reveal TYSON TOMKO!!! (His first appearance since August, after suffering a devastating attack from Brock Lesnar in the run up to Summerslam) The cameraman then gives Triple H SWEET CHIN MUSIC!!! He reveals himself as Shawn Michaels {Triple H’s Survivor Series opponent}, as carnage breaks out, with Christian nailing Vince with the Unprettier, whilst the bride makes a run for it, ending the show in carnage as the sham wedding is exposed!!!

Elsewhere, The Boogeymans win streak ended, courtesy of another undefeated member of Raw, Umaga. Boogeyman was squashed, and it would appear his push was done.

And, it would be a good month for MNM, as Nitro and Mercury kept their titles, defeating Booker T & Elijah Burke in a tables match in a rematch from the disputed Nemesis match, whilst Melina would cut Alexis Larees reign as womens title holder very short, taking the title on October 30th in Australia.

Meanwhile, DH Smith, the son of the late British Bulldog would burst onto the scene on Raw, winning his debut match on the 700th edition of Raw, defeating Michael Knox of The Cult Society. He then featured on Raw the following week, but despite a valiant effort, was decisively beaten by Finlay. He looks set to settle in on Heat for a little while now, to settle in on the roster and work his way up the ladder slowly.

The bidding war between Raw and Smackdown for the services of M.V.P would hot up, with both Eric Bischoff and the busy Paul Heyman chasing the signature of the hottest free agent in wrestling. It appeared that Porter was stringing out both brands for as much money as possible, still choosing not to make a choice, up to the Survivor Series.

Nothing else to report on Smackdown. Everything newsworthy there will appear in the preview for Survivor Series…

Official Card for WWE Survivor Series:

Date:
12th November 2006

Location:
Compaq Centre, Houston TX

Event Music:
Day of Fire, Run

WWE Championship vs. General Managers Contract:

5 on 5 Survivor Series Elimination Match:

- If Van Dam wins, Heyman is Fired -

- If Heyman wins, Van Dam must relinquish WWE Championship -

Rob Van Dam --- Chris Jericho

Batista --- Edge
Matt Hardy --- Brent Albright
Lashley --- James Storm
Tommy Dreamer --- Chris Harris

As revealed before Nemesis, this match was signed, and since then, the two teams have been completed. AMW signed up with Heyman instantly, whilst Batista sided with Rob Van Dam. In the coming weeks, Heyman attempted to sway as many people as possible to his side, offering Matt Hardy a title shot if he joined ranks with him, moments before Hardy was set to face Brent Albright in a rematch for the U.S Title. Hardy declined, and faced the consequences, as his title match was changed to a handicap match, pitting him against Albright AND Mister Money in the Bank, Edge, which he failed to win. Batista & Van Dam took on AMW, with AMW stealing the win, thanks to the newest member of Team Heyman, Chris Jericho. The following week, Albright and Edge would complete Team Heyman, whilst Hardy officially joined with RVD. Edge met Matt Hardy in a No Holds Barred match to end their issue, and the numbers game proved to be the deciding factor, as Heymans 5 demolished Van Dams 3, and Edge won the match.

However, the numbers would be evened up the following week, as the impressive, unbeaten, Bobby Lashley sided with Van Dam, but it appeared the WWE Champion would head into Survivor Series a man down before the thing started. He was scheduled to face Paul Heyman one on one, but stated he knew Heyman had a plan, as he could beat the GM blindfolded. Heyman picked up on this, and forced Van Dam to wrestle him blindfolded. Somehow, RVD was actually getting the better of Heyman, until all hell broke loose, and both sides spilled into the arena, causing a massive brawl. With the odds stacked against Van Dam 5 on 4 … suddenly … a blast from the past saved Van Dam … TOMMY DREAMER!!! The former ECW alumni sided with RVD saving the day with a Singapore cane, blasting Heyman, and his team, evening the scores heading into the elimination match.
But there would be a final twist in the tale. With just two days until Survivor Series, Paul Heyman signed a 6 on 5 main event, him and his five men, against Team Van Dam … before banning Batista, Hardy, Lashley and Dreamer from the arena, meaning RVD would face a 6 on 1 challenge. RVD valiantly gave his all, but was no match for the 6, with the ultimate humiliation, as Heyman pinned the WWE Champion not once, not twice, but THREE times, as he and his group stood over the broken down WWE Champion, with all the momentum, headed into Survivor Series.

World Heavyweight Championship Match:

Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels

Guest Referee:
Mick Foley

Just one night on from his unreal effort in the TLC Match at Nemesis, Shawn Michaels was forced to dig deep down, and find another gear from somewhere, as he was the survivor of a special ‘Survival Series’ gauntlet type match, where ten Raw superstars, John Cena, Mark Henry, Carlito, Finlay, Shelton Benjamin, Mr. Kennedy, Brock Lesnar, Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton, and Rey Mysterio, competed and in the end, Michaels would prevail. Cena defeated Henry, then Carlito, then Finlay, before the Irishman attacked Cena to allow Benjamin a priceless win, but he was upended by the former IC Champion, Mr. Kennedy, but both he and Brock Lesnar would be eliminated by a double count out, as HBK then defeated Randy Orton, and finally Mysterio to earn a shot against Christian or Triple H.

Of course, Triple H would become champion, setting up the first one on one showdown between The Game and Michaels in over two and a half years, but there would be a figure in the middle … Mick Foley. For months, Foley had been seemingly on another planet, even introducing The Boogeyman as the man to save wrestling, hailing Boogeyman as a modern day ‘Hulk Hogan’. That bombed, and Foley disappeared for a few weeks, before returning on the 700th edition of Raw, and exclaiming he ‘had it’. Foley would go on to announce that he would referee the Raw title match at Survivor Series. Foley instantly disappeared after the announcement, strangely not appearing at any point after the announcement. Speculation mounted that perhaps he had second thoughts, with many not convinced that Mick Foley refereeing a match was an ‘earth shattering’, ‘controversial’, piece of business, to complete his personal goal, and ‘save wrestling’. What was / is Foleys agenda?? Has he lost his mind??
It wouldn’t take long for Michaels and Triple H to become reacquainted, as they met in the ring on October 30th, and quickly dredged up old stories, and reunited their storied rivalry. This led to Michaels taking on Shane McMahon, and winning, but The Game would have the last laugh with a beat down after the bell. Of course, HBK would have his revenge on the final Raw before the PPV, posing as a cameraman at the wedding, scoring with Sweet Chin Music to the champion. It’s sure to be another classic between these two great rivals, but what role will Foley play in this scenario … if he plays a role at all??

Cruiserweight Championship;
Triple Threat Match:

Super Crazy vs. Juvi vs. Psichosis

After months of falling apart at the seams, the Mexicools finally appeared to have disbanded as the greed for the Cruiserweight Championship became too much, setting this title match up. If you’ve followed the last couple of updates, you’ll be aware of the story, so I’m not wasting time reliving it. It all goes down at Survivor Series, as the Mexicools go for singles gold.

5 on 5 Survivor Series Elimination Match:

- Sole Survivor(s) Match - Survivor(s) gets a title shot within next 28 days -

Brock Lesnar --- Christian

Finlay --- John Cena
Shelton Benjamin --- Mr. Kennedy
Mark Henry --- Rey Mysterio
Umaga --- Rhyno

Eric Bischoff announced this match on the 700th Edition of Raw, instantly making the stipulation clear - any survivors on the winning side, be it one or all five, will receive a championship match within the following 28 days. With many singles feuds carrying into this match - Cena vs. Finlay, Mr. Kennedy vs. Benjamin, Umaga vs. Rhyno, and of course recent history such as Christian vs. Lesnar and Mysterio vs. Lesnar, the tension will be off the charts in this high stakes survivor series contest, with plenty to fight for. Can Kennedy gain redemption on Benjamin and secure the last laugh … or will Benjamin find himself with an opportunity of double gold?? Can Captain Charisma earn a rematch at the man he should’ve have never lost to?? Who can possibly stop Umaga?? Will John Cena find himself back in line for his first title shot since losing the belt in April?? Will Lesnar set up a first ever meeting against either Michaels or Triple H?? Are Finlay or Mysterio or even Mark Henry set to win a first World Title shot?? And is Rhyno ready to recreate his past ECW glory??

5 on 5 Survivor Series Elimination Match:

John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield --- The Undertaker

Kurt Angle --- Kane
Jamie Noble --- The Rock
Basham Brothers --- Paul London & Brian Kendrick

JBL quite possibly pulled off the biggest swoop in Smackdown history, just two weeks before the PPV, by drafting in a reinvigorated Kurt Angle into his Five man Survivor Series squad. It appeared JBL was in deep trouble, as his lightweight group faced the all star cast of The Brothers of Destruction, the tag team champions, and a hungry for redemption Peoples Champion, The Rock. Despite the Undertaker and Kane making it known they didn’t want or need any partners, London & Kendrick signed up, and The Rock would make it known he’d be at Survivor Series for revenge, whether he was wanted or not. Months after putting The Great One on the shelf, JBL would be faced by the proverbial ghost of Christmas past, as the ten time World Champion would be the final man on Team Destruction, not offering his services, but demanding them. *The Rock is only back on a one off appearance*. So with his back to the wall, JBL somehow called Kurt Angle off the sidelines, not seen since Cyber Sunday, and the two month break looked to have done just the trick for Angle, with the Olympian seemingly back to his best, taking Team Destruction apart, setting the stage for what promises to be an awesome Elimination match at the Survivor Series.

4 on 4 Survivor Series Elimination Match:

Randy Orton --- Ric Flair

Ken Doane --- Carlito
Garrison Cade --- CM Punk
Nick Dinsmore --- Gregory Helms

RIP Four Horsemen - Welcome to the New Wave. The night after Nemesis, the Horsemen would meet in the ring to iron out recent differences, which had saw communication issues between Flair, Cade and Dinsmore. The end result would be from the lips of Orton to Flair - ‘Sorry Naitch, but we’ve evolved.’. This led to a three on one beating, as Orton kicked Flair out of the Horsemen, before declaring that the Horsemen died over a decade ago, and Randy Orton represents the future, not the past, renaming his band The New Wave. In the coming weeks, Flair would be out for revenge for the sickening betrayal, and with unlikely help in the form of Carlito & Straight Edge who he had only feuded with a month previous, Flair had a group of men to take into Survivor Series, whilst Orton handpicked a fourth member of his own group, replacing the greatest of all time with a former cheerleader - Ken Doane. Building up to the event, Orton stated that Flair should’ve retired when he had the chance, because at Survivor Series, he wont have a choice, because his career will be killed off. Will Ortons prophecy come true?? Or will The Nature Boy roll back the years, and shock the world by ousting The New Wave??

Classic Survivor Series Elimination Match Relived:

- Once one tag team member is eliminated, his partner is eliminated too -

MNM --- Booker T & Elijah Burke

The Mad Murdoch Twins --- William Regal & Hardcore Holly
Deuce & Domino --- The Highlanders
The Cult Society --- Road kill & Danny Doring
Just a filler match added to the card, celebrating the twentieth annual Survivor Series with a modern take on the original Survivor Series which featured 10 tag teams in a 5 on 5 match. This time, there are eight, and one elimination eliminates his partner too.

Default Re: Being The Booker

Triple H winning his tenth title was surprising in my book, and with the McMahons helping him it looks like we'll be seeing a lot of 'power struggling' on RAW like the old days, which will be great. All the other news looks rather good, including DH Smith whom I hope gets a nice push in this thread because he's got a hell of a lot of talent. I remember using him rather well in one of my old threads (Summer '06) and hope you do the same Wolfy.

Now, onto Survivor Series, which looks pretty fucking awesome. I like the numerous amounts of Survivor Series Tag Matches, which are some of the most fun matches to write imo. The SmackDown! main event one looks like it'll probably BE the main event, and looks to have a really good story behind it. I see Van Dam pulling it out, but a feeling that Heyman's team won't leave my head. Michaels - Triple H never fail to put on a good match, so that one should be great to see regardless if it's recapped. I like the way you put in a title shot in one of RAW's tag matches, and Orton leading a faction = greatness. SS looks like pure awesomeness Wolfy. I'll be reading when posted.

Official Card for WWE Survivor Series:

Date:
12th November 2006

Location:
Compaq Centre, Houston TX

Event Music:
Day of Fire, Run

WWE Championship vs. General Managers Contract:
5 on 5 Survivor Series Elimination Match:
- If Van Dam wins, Heyman is Fired -
- If Heyman wins, Van Dam must relinquish WWE Championship -
Rob Van Dam --- Chris Jericho
Batista --- Edge
Matt Hardy --- Brent Albright
Lashley --- James Storm
Tommy Dreamer --- Chris Harris

My Pick: RVD’s Team
This should be the main event of the night, imo. Very unconventional feud between these two sides, with the WWE Championship taking a backseat to Heyman and RVD’s hatred for each other. The teams look good and I am shocked to see guys like Lashley and Albright in such a big match. The last show before the PPV, with the beatdown of RVD, makes me think the Champ’s team is winning. RVD will be champ for a little longer and Heyman will be fired.

World Heavyweight Championship Match:
Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels
Guest Referee:
Mick Foley

My Pick: Triple H
Triple H going over Christian, on Raw nonetheless, was a big shock in the thread that would have been even more shocking if the change was part of a full show. Shawn Michaels being the next contender is fine and these two have been apart ever since the very start of this thread, with Triple H spending most of the time on Smackdown. Foley as the ref seems just like a throw-in and maybe he will join the McMahon-Hemsley alliance. This should be a great match, no matter who wins … but Triple H will win the match.

Cruiserweight Championship;
Triple Threat Match:
Super Crazy vs. Juvi vs. Psichosis

My Pick:Psichosis
This hasn’t been featured very much but both Crazy and Juvi have held the belt … why not Psichosis?

5 on 5 Survivor Series Elimination Match:
- Sole Survivor(s) Match - Survivor(s) gets a title shot within next 28 days -
Brock Lesnar --- Christian
Finlay --- John Cena
Shelton Benjamin --- Mr. Kennedy
Mark Henry --- Rey Mysterio
Umaga --- Rhyno

My Pick: Christian & John Cena are the Sole Survivors
This was a very cool way to have all these big stars in the same match, with a title match on the line. I can already predict that Umaga will get DQ’ed so that he is eliminated but his streak continues. I know that having two men on the same team standing is kinda lame but I couldn’t choose which would win. Cena and Christian will probably be in a triple threat match with The Game at the next PPV, with Christian as the face, Triple H as the heel, and Cena as the tweener.

5 on 5 Survivor Series Elimination Match:
John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield --- The Undertaker
Kurt Angle --- Kane
Jamie Noble --- The Rock
Basham Brothers --- Paul London & Brian Kendrick

My Pick: The Rock is the Sole Survivor
This has been a cool feud and I really think that JBL would walk out on top … if The Rock hadn’t returned. Since this is a one-off appearance for Rocky, I see him walking out the Sole Survivor. I like Angle as a part of the Cabinet but I can also see him maybe feuding with Kane next, taking both men out of the match. Should be an amazing match, imo.

4 on 4 Survivor Series Elimination Match:
Randy Orton --- Ric Flair
Ken Doane --- Carlito
Garrison Cade --- CM Punk
Nick Dinsmore --- Gregory Helms

My Pick: Randy Orton is the Sole Survivor
I knew that Flair would be kicked out the group after what happened at Nemesis. Bringing back Kenny as Ken Doane seems to be the popular thing and he is a good edition to Orton’s group. I like Carlito and Straight Edge helping out Flair and this was a good way to get these three young stars on the card. I can see Flair maybe taking out one of Orton’s people but I say it comes down to Flair and Orton, with Randy putting away his mentor.

Classic Survivor Series Elimination Match Relived:
- Once one tag team member is eliminated, his partner is eliminated too
MNM --- Booker T & Elijah Burke

The Mad Murdoch Twins --- William Regal & Hardcore Holly
Deuce & Domino --- The Highlanders
The Cult Society --- Road kill & Danny Doring

My Pick: MNM are the Sole Survivors
Cool way to get all the tag teams on the card but since MNM is the hottest team on the planet, they keep the momentum rolling … until they feud with Straight Edge.

I will be reading the recap for sure.
