Heyman just opens the show with a few announcements and the usual "We're doing things my way" speech. Benoit vs HHH in a No DQ match will be a sweet main event, and right now we've got a US Title match

Well, if Batista stays in midcard, I'll be happy, as I'd hate to see you push him to the main event. Hardy retains via a count out, a rematch could very well be on the cards

It's obvious that JBL will beat Holly, and his continued build towards main eventing will continue

Powerful words from RVD to Sabu & Fonzie, I hope something comes of this soon, as it's really getting to the point where something from the ECW alumni has to happen to keep the interest in this feud afloat

JBL beats Holly, no brainer, next

Ha SS get a match with the Dudleyz next week. Suckers. They'll win after most likely copping a beating and use the numbers game to steal it

Heyman still intent on one thing above all else, having Benoit lose the strap. Benoit can only hold it for so long before he becomes stale ala 2004, but he won't lose it just yet in Heyman's plans

Y2J with a good promo, talking about the Undertaker and how their feud can continue, and so it should it'll be SD!'s draw until it ends. Then some no name guy called owait, Brent Albright? AKA, Gunner Scott. AKA, Lucky Jobber. Match begins and Albright gets a win thanks to Taker's mind games again! Big win, but I hope you don't push BA too much, although he could get over after a win like this. Jericho's promo during the commercial shows us he is pissed and he wants to fight Taker badly

The Rock is here! Talking about his big match next week with Austin and here comes Austin! I love it when these two get together for promos. LOL those songs were good. Haha, the Friends theme? Good aswell, and I can't wait for SCSA's last match in this thread with The Rock, even if he is retiring afterwards

Haas turns heel just like that. I've always liked Haas as a heel and use him like that, pretty much in the same way you're gonna use him it looks like. He could do well with a US title match with Matt Hardy

Angle returns next week? Awesome, wonder what he'll be like after the loss to Bret Hart

Triple H is ready, he won't win, but he has to hype himself up to look believable. Hammer in hand, he's gonna do some damage

What a main event. Really good maatch, Benoit going through the table was nuts and not what you expect on TV, more like PPV. LONDON IS BACK! He nails The Game with his own sledgehammer and Benoit makes HHH tap out! London/Triple H feud could be good if done right, and make London a credible player here on SD!

Another good show Snap. 8.5/10

Thanks for the reviews for SD. Just as a note, it'll be the last episode of Smackdown written in full until Snap returns.

WWE.COM NEWS AND NOTES:

Match added for Backlash!!

Eric Bischoff has confirmed this afternoon that on April 30th at Backlash, The DX Duo, 'HBK' Shawn Michaels and 'HB-Cade' Garrison Cade will team up, to face The New Wave of Horsemen, 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair and 'The Prodigy' Nick Dinsmore. These two sides have locked into a bitter war since WrestleMania, and the tension will come to a head in Seattle, in a tag team battle, with history being made, as two of wrestlings most famous groups finally meet in the squared circle. Join the historical moment on PPV, April 30th!!!

-

Saturday Nights Main Event Confirmed!!!

wwe.com happily announces that on May 27th, Raw and Smackdown will join forces to present this special two hour broadcast on NBC. The last edition of this long time WWE favourite proved a huge success with the fans, with NBC jumping at the chance to promote World Wrestling Entertainment once again.

-

King of the Ring to return??

Whispers around wwe.com headquarters are rumouring that officials are planning to bring back the prestigious tournament in the summer!!! Superstars from Raw and Smackdown are likely to be involved should the tournament go ahead, with the winner having the chance to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Bret Hart, Steve Austin, Triple H, Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar, in using the tournament as a stepping stone on the path to greatness.

-

Sabu on the way??

Since his unexpected appearance at WrestleMania, the former ECW rebel has been in hot demand, with officials keen to see he and RVD compete in a WWE ring. And now, with former ECW kingpin, Paul Heyman in charge of Smackdown, it appears it will be a matter of time before The Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal maniac makes a splash in the WWE. Will Sabu sign a Smackdown contract, and meet Van Dam head on?? Time will tell, but with evil genius Paul Heyman negotiating heavily to sign him, it looks like a firm possibility.

First off looks like you're back to your old name of Wolf Beast. Quite a surprise and could the Wolf of old be returning. Just joking.

Big match signed for Backlash! I know the show won't be done in full, but I know the build up for the match will be off the charts, and it will be one feud that I am looking forward to.

Good to see SNME returning to this thread as I felt that the last one was such a good one. Looking forward to see how the May 27th one will stack up against it.

So I go out and produce the return of the King of the Ring, and you're deciding to bring it back. j/k, if you do bring it back though, I know you and Snap will give it justice.

Hope Sabu can get signed by the WWE and we see RVD and Sabu go head to head with one another. Looking forward to Raw as always. 1!

Great news and notes, Wolfy. Hope to see the King Of The Ring build up a superstar and be used to push someone.

Also, good to see that you are back, Snap. Can't wait for the epic encounter between Rock and Austin for the final time.

Glad to see you're back earlier than expected Snap.

Nice news and notes Wolfy, KOTR returning could be huge, and maybe could be the platform for someone to be elevated into the main event scene.

Can't wait for Austin vs Rock IV. The final match of Austin's career in this thread

Official Raw Preview:

Eric Bischoff has immediately made it his intention to make an impression on Raw, signing three collosal matches for this Monday Night in San Antonio.

And right off the bat, The General Manager has planned a big match, involving the home town boy, Shawn Michaels taking on 'The Prodigy' Nick Dinsmore, less than three weeks before HBK teams with his fellow D-Generate, Garrison Cade to face Dinsmore, and his mentor, 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair at Backlash. Which team will gain the massive boost from a singles win on Raw.

Meanwhile, four of Raws fastest rising stars will be involved in a dynamic tag team encounter. Mr. Money in the Bank, Rey Mysterio will team with Shelton Benjamin - now officially stripped of the tag team titles following Charlie Haas' departure to Smackdown - to face Mysterios Backlash opponent, Edge, and the Intercontinental Champion, Carlito. Dont miss a moment of the action as these four superstars get it on this Monday.

And, for the first time since his loss at WrestleMania, Randy Orton will be in action when he faces 'The Worlds Strongest Man' Mark Henry. Orton faces a tough task against the muscle behind The Brotherhood, and with his WrestleMania loss still on his mind, will Orton be able to focus on the task at hand??

Randy Orton has also made it clear he intends on gaining revenge on World Champion, John Cena. And with no decision yet as to who will face The Champ at Backlash, will Orton find himself as the challenger again to the title he covets so desperately??

However, Orton doesnt appear to be the only man chasing after the championship. Recently, 'Captain Charisma' has been talking of his championship ambitions, whilst just last week, Brock Lesnar, freshly switched to Raw from Smackdown, made it clear to General Manager, Eric Bischoff that he deserves a title shot. Will Bischoff give in to his demands?? Will a Number One Contender even be named?? Find out, this Monday Night on Raw.

-----------------------
Raw will be posted tomorrow.

Ok, I am glad that you chose Heyman as GM, because you used him perfectly. I can't wait to see how his run as GM goes, without Lesnar by his side.

I kinda got the feeling before the show was posted that Batista would become the new Lesnar on Smackdown. Not sure if you plan to go that route, but having Hardy keep his run going, and not burying Batista in the process was a good decision.

JBL was off the charts in this promo. Just awesome. I remember when Wolfy had JBL turn on Simmons, and just look at him now. The WWE title is his, next.

I really liked RVD's promo here, and I think he will have a nice fresh start on Smackdown. Hopefully he gets a title run, as well.

Great victory for JBL here to establish in clear ascension to the Upper Card by easily squashing a veteran mid carder like Hardcore Holly. I am very excited by JBL's future in this BTB now.

I'm not crazy about the Spirit Squad, but you will probably use them well. I liked the Benoit staredown with Kenny, as you indicated that he will likely have a good singles career on Smackdown, down the line. Benoit and Heyman part of the promo was superb, and these two will be interesting.

Jericho really delivered on this segment, he was great. I dont like Albright, and when I saw it was a debut, I was hoping for Elijah Burke, or even Lashley. But it looks like you will use him well, and this Taker/Jericho fued is going to be one of the best in btb.

Rock/Austin segment could have been better as it is their final one, but I liked the play on them singing together, as they have many times before. Good job, Im looking forward to the match, but I will be sad to see Austin go.

Yes! I hope Haas gets a push! He was used excellent in this match, and I hope he is the one to end Hardy's title run.

Triple H seems really bitter here, but I see him losing again.

Main event was amazingly done, these two can put on a damn show. Glad to see Benoit to retain, and London get some revenge. I just hope London/Trips isn't going to be a full blown PPV fued, as we all know Trips wouldn't allow this.

All in all, spectacular Smackdown. 9/10.

Raw Preview looks great Wolfy. The title situation has me buzzing, cant wait to see how Lesnar is used. And the tag title situation is very interesting. Tag match looks off the charts.

Sweet preview Wolf man, I'll be reading and reviewing for sure. HBK/Dinsmore should be off the charts, and I can't wait how to see how you continue to shape the WWE Championship scene heading into Backlash.
