Default Re: Being The Booker

I HAVE to post my predictions on this one. It's just too big an event. I'm blowing my f*cking lid over here, as I truly believe this will be the greatest BTB PPV ever!

Brock Lesnar vs. Chris Benoit

Benoit deserves this one after all the dedication to this buisness.

Cena vs. Orton

I just can't see Cena going over Orton twice at the biggest stage of them all. Maybe Orton/Cena III next year?

JBL vs. Matt Hardy

Hardy doesn't deserve it as much as JBL deserves to move on.

Roll Of The Dice: Fall One Quintet Free For All
Edge vs. Carlito vs. Kennedy vs. RVD vs. Mysterio

What better way to push Kennedy fully into face realm. I think he deserves this midcard honor the most, as the others have already won it or are on their way to the ME scene.

Roll Of The Dice: Fall Two Ladder Match
Edge vs. Carlito vs. RVD vs. Kennedy vs. Mysterio

Who's more ready for that main event push than Edge?

Christian vs. Stone Cold

Just seems wiser to push the young blood.

Chris Jericho vs. The Undertaker

He's the flippin' Undertaker.

Shawn Michaels vs. The Rock

Though to call. I got to go with The Rock, because he's taken the grunt of the beatings in the past couple weeks.

Bret Hart vs. Kurt Angle

Bret Hart truly goes out in his rightful, "blaze of glory." The best there EVER will be.

Hulk Hogan, Mick Foley, & Rhyno vs. Evolution

Hogan and Foley on the same team? Forget about it.

Triple H vs. Shane McMahon

I got a feeling that Shane's not goin' at it alone.

America's Most Wanted vs. World's Greatest Tag Team

These two are simply the bigger talents.

Trish Stratus vs. Shaniqua

I can't see there being a squash at WM, so I'll go with Trish to pull off the impossible once again.

1. AMW vs. WGTT
2. Whoever Shane brings in to help him.
3. Shawn will try to top it, but will come up short against Hart vs. Angle.
4. One.
5. Four
6. Shane McMahon will jump off of something onto Trips.
7. London.

The Wrestle Mania Trailers;

VOTE NOW FOR YOUR FAVOURITE IN ORDER FROM 1 -5. (ONE BEING YOUR FAVOURITE, AND FIVE BEING THE LEAST FAVOURITE)

WRESTLEMANIA POKER:

A green screen then appears, with the writing “The following preview is to advertise the PPV event, WWE WrestleMania XXII. The event advertised is to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 26th 2006”…

The preview opens in a dimly lit room. Six men are sat around a table. It’s hard to make out any of these men, but it looks like they are playing poker. One man sits forward, fitting the description of a truck driver…

Trucker: (Smiles, then speaks confidently) I’ve got three Kings.

Two men then throw their cards to the table, showing they are beaten. A third man then leans forward. He has a beard, and is wearing a dark pair of sunglasses…

Bearded Man: (Laughs) Ha, FOUR Jacks!!!

The trucker puts his hands to his face in despair. The bearded man then leans forward to pick up the winning’s, until we hear another voice…

Voice: Ah, ah, ah. Not so fast.

The man then sits forward. He is an old man, in his 60’s maybe.

Elderly Man: FULL HOUSE!!

The elderly man then looks up the table, as do the other four men, at one man who has yet to speak. Slowly, the mystery man moves into the picture, but the camera cuts to his hands before we see his face.

He sets down a card which shows Hulk Hogan body slamming Andre at WM III, then another of Macho Man reuniting with Miss Elizabeth at WM VII, then he sets down a card of Shawn Michaels celebrating with the Championship at WM XII, before setting down a card of Steve Austin bleeding at WM 13, locked in the Sharpshooter, then finally, he places down a card of John Cena celebrating with the World Championship at this years past Mania.

The other players all look flabbergasted, as the mystery man comes into vision…VINCE MC MAHON

Vince McMahon: They call that hand, WRESTLEMANIA!!!

The other five men then all groan, putting their heads down in disappointment. The WWE Logo then flashes, followed by the WM XXII logo, before the final clip shows Vince throwing the poker chips in the air in celebration, cheering himself shouting “It’s MINE, it’s all MINE!!!”

************************************************

Christians Peep Show:
A green screen then appears, with the writing “The following preview is to advertise the PPV event, WWE WrestleMania XXII. The event advertised is to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 26th 2006”…

The video opens with Christian and Tyson Tomko stopping at a seedy Las Vegas strip joint…

Christian: Here we are then… the famous Las Vegas strip.

Tyson Tomko: Erm… This isn’t the Las Vegas strip. This, is a Las Vegas strip joint.

Christian: Uh?? Hold on. Strip joint huh??

Tyson Tomko: Yeah, the strip is about three miles back that way…

Christian: Shut up. I like the look of this place Tomko…

Tyson Tomko: Yeah, very professional looking.

Christian: C’mon, we’re goin in…

Christian and Tomko exit the car, and walk into the club. They open the front door, and the door falls off it’s hinges… Christian turns to Tomko, looking quite embarrassed…

Christian: I don’t know my own strength.

Tomko laughs, but as Christian turns around, Tomko’s face turns to worry, at the prospect of the club…

They take a seat, right next to the stage, where some pretty attractive, but cheap looking women are pole dancing. The time on the clock behind them says 11:30.

Christian: YEAH BABY!!! TAKE IT OFFFFF!!! Hey Tomko, (hands Tomko a $50) Go get some drinks. C’mon honey, TAKE IT OFFFF!!! Captain Charisma is in the HOUSSSE!!! Gimme a PEEP SHOW!!!

The scene cuts, and we go to a few hours later, with the clock showing 02:45... Christian’s head is rested on the table, whilst Tomko is still enjoying the show…

Christian: (Very drunk) Ohhh.

Tyson Tomko: You wanna go Christian?? I think the best is over.

Christian: Let’s wait and see who’s next…

We then see the next two ladies come onto the stage, and we watch from Christian’s point of view. The two women HE see’s are extremely attractive.

Christian: (Mouth wide open) I’m in love.

Tyson Tomko: You have to be kidding me??

Christian: If you aren’t attracted to those beauties, you gotta bat for the other team.

Tyson Tomko: I think you’ve had too much to drink man.

Christian: No way. You can go, I’m staying right here.

Tyson Tomko: No problem. I’m out man. No way am I getting involved in this.

Christian: More for me baby.

Christian continues to watch, and we only see the women from his view…

The scene cuts again, and we come back, in the parking lot of the strip joint, with Christian’s car in view, rocking side to side, with groans coming from the vehicle.

The scene cuts to the next morning, and we look into the car, with Christian waking up, looking rough.

Christian: Oh…what the hell happened last night?? (Remembers) YES!!! I scored!!! One for me. Notch it up for Captain Charisma!!!

Christian then looks to his side, and see’s that it was TWO women.

Christian: HA!! Double dose of Vitamin C. Tomko is gonna hear about this. Whoa. Wait a minute…

Christian then looks over at the two women, and we see his eyes widen in shock. He throws his hands into his face…

Christian: Oh…my…god.

The women then turn over, and we see it is MAE YOUNG and MOOLAH!!!!!

Mae Young: Mornin’ tiger.

Christian: We didn’t??

Mae Young: Oh… we did.

Moolah: All…night…long.

Mae Young: In fact… we did more than that…

Mae Young then shows Christian a WEDDING RING!!! Christian freezes in amazement, as we see Tyson Tomko standing outside the car, laughing at Christian.

Christian: I think I’m gonna be sick…

Outside the car, we see Tomko take out a note book, with the title, ‘Places never to visit again’. He quickly jots down Las Vegas, whilst laughing his ass off.

The WrestleMania XXII logo then flashes across the screen, whilst in the background, we hear Christian throwing up, and then we see Mae looking at a wedding photo of her and Christian, at a 24 Hour chapel as the preview comes to an end…

***************************

Chavo Beats the House:

A green screen then appears, with the writing “The following preview is to advertise the PPV event, WWE WrestleMania XXII. The event advertised is to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 26th 2006”…

***NOTE*** Originally, the part of Chavo Guerrero was to be played by Eddie Guerrero.

The video opens, in a busy, buzzing Casino, with a number of people on the fruit machines, roulette tables, poker tables, craps and more, before we cut to the Blackjack Table.

First, we see Carlito sat down, sweating profusely, with very little chips … next we see Rob Van Dam looking extremely angry, with very little chips too … then, we see JBL, wiping sweat from his brow, with no chips. He panics, and pulls his Rolex watch off, throwing it onto the table to bet with. Finally, the camera moves to Chavo Guerrero, who sits back, relaxing, with a HUGE stack of chips.

The dealer, Linda McMahon, deals out cards to each man again. Carlito shouts out for another card, which he is dealt. Carlito looks at it, and screws up his face.

He gets up, and grabs his apple, taking a bite, and spits it on the table.

Carlito: I’m bust … again. Das not cool.

Carlito gives up, having no chips left, and leaves the table. RVD nods for another card, which he gets. He nods again, getting another card. Van Dam holds his hand up, signalling his sticks.

Now, we go back to JBL, who is dripping with sweat, and asks for another card, which he gets, and asks to stick.

Both men, and Linda now turn their attention to Chavo.

Linda McMahon: You want another card??

Chavo looks up, with a little impish grin, before speaking.

Chavo Guerrero: Nope, I got twenty one.

RVD kicks the table, whilst JBL bangs his head off it, losing everything he has.

Linda McMahon: You must be a natural. That’s seventeen games in a row you’ve got a twenty one from the first two cards.

Chavo Guerrero: Yeah, my family have studied this game for years.

RVD pushes the rest of his chips to the middle of the table for the next hand, whilst JBL throws a set of keys into the middle of the table.

John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield: That’s my house keys. It’s all I’ve got left.

Linda raises her eyebrow, and deals out the cards again. RVD is first to respond, and he signals for another card … and another … then gets to his feet, picks up his glass, and throws it across the Casino.

The camera follows the glass … which sails across the casino, and smashes onto the stage, where Chris Jericho, and Fozzy are set to perform.

Chris Jericho: HEY!!! We haven’t even started our performance yet!!! Judge us when we finish ass clown!!!

Back to the blackjack table, we see Bill Alfonso arrive on the scene, and tries to calm RVD, leading him away from the table, with Van Dam out of chips.

JBL again wipes his face, with his hair all out of place, fretting over losing everything.

John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield: Hit me.

Linda deals JBL another card. JBL grins, and lets out a loud laugh.

John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield: Ha ha. Try and beat that. TWENTY!!!

JBL lets out a sigh of relief, as Chavo smiles, and turns his cards over.

Chavo Guerrero: Well, well, well. Look at that. Twenty One!!!

JBL’s face drops in shock. He slowly rises up from the table, and we see he isn’t wearing any trousers, and has no shoes. He walks away from the table, in a state of shock.

Chavo grabs a handful of chips, and throws them up in the air, celebrating all his winnings. He then straightens his jacket, and gets up from the table, grabbing a pair of shoes, trousers, the watch, and keys, (all JBLs) before walking towards the position where he can get his chips changed into money.

He points to the table he was at, and asks for the cash. The man behind the desk then speaks.

Casino Clerk: And your name please??

Chavo Guerrero: My name?? Ummm… John … err … Smith.

Casino Clerk: John Smith?? Your name is John Smith??

Chavo Guerrero: That’s me, regular old John Smith.

A bunch of Raw and Smackdown stars then pass by (Booker T, Goldust, Hardcore Holly, Paul London, William Regal, Lance Storm, Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin) with each one passing by saying ‘Hey Chavo’

Guerrero stands still, frozen from fear as the clerk starts to look suspicious. Chavo tries to cover it up with a laugh, and backs up a little, with a small device falling down his trouser and onto the floor. A security guard notices, and quickly picks it up, recognizing the object right away.

Security Guard: This guy has been counting cards. He’s been cheating!!!

The camera instantly switches across the casino, with JBL looking up.

John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield: Cheating!!??

Camera cuts to Carlito, who spits his apple in defiance.

Camera cuts to RVD, who looks ready to blast out an expletive, before we cut back to Chavo.

Chavo Guerrero: Uh oh.

JBL, RVD, Carlito, and a bunch of extras start to run across the casino, to chase Chavo. Chavo sees them coming, and he quickly pokes the security guard in the eye, before throwing JBLs shoes in their direction to try and slow them down.

He runs towards the front exit, and sees security blocking the door. His eyes widen, before he looks around, then we see a light bulb flash above his head, and he quickly clutches his chest, pretending to faint. JBL, RVD and Carlito all close in on him, but the security fall for his act, and stops JBL etc from getting at him, telling them to give him space.

Chavo sits up, and waves at the three men, before jumping up, and running out the exit, pointing at JBL’s limo driver to look behind him, which he does, allowing Chavo to yank the key out of his hand, and jump into the limo.

Chavo quickly starts the vehicle, and speeds off, stealing Bradshaws limo, and getting away from the furious cheated other players.

The Wrestle Mania 22 logo flashes across the screen again, with the caption “Where Dreams Become Reality” flashing across the screen before we get the very last scene…

Chavo starts singing the old Los Guerreros theme song, as he drives off, singing and whistling, but what he doesn’t see, is that the fuel level is dangerously low, as the camera fades away, ending the video.

*******************************

Hotel WrestleMania:

A green screen then appears, with the writing “The following preview is to advertise the PPV event, WWE WrestleMania XXII. The event advertised is to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 26th 2006”…

The video opens up, with a look at a building, which appears to be a Hotel / Casino in downtown Las Vegas. The door opens, and we see Ric Flair as the bell boy, taking luggage, getting help from Batista. Vince McMahon then appears, as a couple enter the hotel.

Vince McMahon: Welcome sir, miss, to my creation … the Wrestle Mania Hotel.

Vince opens his arm out, showing the casino part of the hotel.

Vince McMahon: Maybe I should show you both around.

The couple nod, and walk along with Vince.

The first part they pass is the fruit machines, and they hear one of the machines paying out a huge sum of money. They take a peek around, and all three jump back as Ken Kennedy yells.

Ken Kennedy: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN … THE WINNER OF THE FURIT MACHINE VIA THREE JUICY MELONS … GAINING THREE HUNDRED AND ELEVEN DOLLARS … MISSSSSTER KENNEDY!!!

Vince motions to the couple they should hurry along, and quickly move away, but then, Kennedy jumps out from the other side.

Ken Kennedy: KENNNEDDDDYYYYY!!!!

The woman screams out, and the three turn away, as Vince walks them towards the craps table, apologising for that outburst. They take a look as we see Trish Stratus shaking her dice in her hand, and then, Gene Snitsky, dressed in a tuxedo, grabs her arm, and insists on blowing her dice. He does so, with Trish looking a little creeped out.

Trish throws her dice, but loses. She looks furious with Snitsky, but he turns away, and brushes past McMahon and the couple, commenting on his way past …

Gene Snitsky: That … wasn’t my fault.

Snitsky walks off, shaking his head, whilst Vince takes a deep breath, before smiling at the couple, directing them towards the Poker table, where a random guy has just won a big amount of money.

Random Guy: OH MY GOD!!! I’m rich!!!

Another random guy gets up from the table, and taps the winner on the shoulder.

Random Guy #2: You are a legend my friend.

Random Guy #2 walks off, and we see Randy Orton sneak into the picture, smirking.

Randy Orton: Legend, huh??

Vince leads the couple away, and talks up his hotel a little more.

Vince McMahon: As you can tell, we have plenty of winners here, but I must warn you, cheating isn’t accepted. In fact, it’s not very smart.

Vince then swings a side door open, and we see a ‘cheaters’ room, where a bunch of random guys are getting beat up, with Benoit applying the Cross face on one, Triple H lining up a cheat with his sledgehammer, Rhyno smashing a trash can over one, and Edge pounding someone in the corner.

Vince McMahon: But I’m sure you wont make that mistake, sure you wont??

The scene then cuts to Vince shielding the couple from the Showgirl performance, yelling “Where is Ron”, as the camera shows up Rico dressed as a Showgirl, strutting his stuff. Ron Simmons runs onto the stage, trying to cover Rico up.

Ron Simmons: I’ll be damned!!! You cant keep doing this you freak.

Vince has an uneasy smile, before leading the couple to the stairs.

Vince McMahon: We actually don’t have a lift service in this hotel, but don’t worry, you wont have to walk ten flights of stairs.

McMahon clicks his finger, and instantly, we see Brock Lesnar appear, and he scoops the couple onto his shoulders, before charging up the stairs.

Vince McMahon: Have a good nights sleep.

The couple squeal all the way up, as the shot switches to Lesnar kicking the door open, and walks into the room, hitting an F5 on both of them, onto the bed, sending them to sleep for the night.

The Next Morning…

**Simon System** plays into the couples room, and we see Simon Dean enter the room along with Chris Masters, bringing a bunch of his products with him.

Simon Dean: Can I interest you in my patented Simon System??

The couple look confused.

Simon Dean: Terrific. Lets see, what have we here. Well, first up, let me show you The Masterpiece of the Simon System. Chris Masters. Just a few short years ago, he was a fat, ugly piece of trash … a bit like you two. No. Chris, you havent oiled up yet.

Dean pulls out a Simon System oil for the body, and as he takes his time with that, the couple quickly sneak out of the room, and down the flights of stairs, as we cut to five minutes later, where they are in the casino area, along with Vince, who encourages them to play some Blackjack.

They sit at the table, and watch a guy playing his game. His cards reveal 14.

Random Guy #3: Hit me.

The dealer reveals himself from the shadows, as Steve Austin, smiling.

Steve Austin: With pleasure, you little rat bastard!!

Austin then jumps across the table, and attacks the guy, as the couple scurry from the table.

Husband: We need to leave.

Vince McMahon: What?? You cant leave!! The fun is just getting started.

The couple start to walk towards the front entrance, but stop, as they watch The Rock performing a song for an audience, with his guitar.

The Rock: Well, since Rocks baby left him, he’s found a new place to dwell … its down at the end of jabroni drive at … the Smackdown hotellllll.

The audience clap, and the couple seem to be having a change of heart, until …

Voice: Rock feels so lonely baby … Rock feels so lonely!!!

Mick Foley appears on the stage behind Rock.

Mick Foley: ROCK FEELS SO LONELY …

Foley holds the mic to Rocks mouth for the last line.

The Rock: What in the blue HELL are you doing??

Foley shrugs his shoulders, and the two start bickering, as the couple shake their heads and continue to leave.

Vince McMahon: NO!! Please don’t go. I can give you free tickets to Wrestle Mania!!!

The couple stop in their tracks, and turn around, interested.

Vince McMahon: Well actually … tickets are all gone already …

The couple turn to leave, and we see a figure in the background at reception, definitely Kane, but we only see up to his waist, whilst the receptionist {Stacey Kiebler} tells him he cant have a room.

Outside the hotel, the couple jump into a taxi, to speed off.

Vince McMahon: I hope you enjoyed your stay … please come back.

The Wrestle Mania 22 logo flashes across the screen again, with the caption “Where Dreams Become Reality” flashing across the screen, before we go to the last scene…

The hotel is being evacuated, with a fire having broken out. We see Stacey explaining something to Vince…

Stacey Kiebler: I couldn’t give the guy a room. He had no money, and he was really scary.

Vince McMahon: And he put the place on fire because you wouldn’t give him a room??

Stacey nods, as Vince shakes his head in disappointment.

Vince McMahon: First the XFL, now this hotel … from now on, I’m sticking to the ‘rasslin business.

Vince walks off, doing his power walk, leaving the burning building as the video ends…

************************

Dreams Become Reality:

A green screen then appears, with the writing “The following preview is to advertise the PPV event, WWE WrestleMania XXII. The event advertised is to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 26th 2006”…

We see the four members of DX in a fancy room at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas. They are all sat in a single bed each, watching the television, which is playing the last Wrestle Mania trailer from the Royal Rumble. The video ends, and HBK switches the TV off.

Shawn Michaels: Dreams become reality?? Yeah right. Listen guys, I need to get some sleep, so I suggest we all get some shut eye, yeah??

The other three agree, as HBK nods, and switches the light off. The four men put their heads down, and nod off. The screen fades, and then comes back, saying 20 minutes later…

Garrison Cade is snoring, whilst the other three all sleep quietly. We then go up close on HBK, and see what he is dreaming out…

Clips from Wrestle Mania 12, of HBK coming to the ring from the rafters, before highlights from his title match, then the Sweet Chin Music to win the match.

“The Boyhood Dream Has come true at Wrestle Mania”

We fade from the dream, back to HBK, who sleeps with a big smile on his face.

The camera shifts to Luther Reigns, who sleeps with his arms folded, still looking serious, even in his sleep. We now delve into his dream…

Clips of Luther Reigns hitting lesser wrestlers with impact moves is shown, and we hear sounds over the carnage from commentary.

“My God. This Luther Reigns is the most destructive force in the WWE damn it!!”

We fade from Luthers dream, and see he is now smiling, breaking his serious façade.

Now, the camera moves to Mark Jindrak, and we go into his dream.

“The DX Duo are victorious again!!! What a team, champions once again!!!”

Clips of MJ and Cade celebrating with the tag titles are shown from his dream, before we fade back out, and see Jindrak smile. We then cut to Cade, who is already smiling, before going into the dream.

Unlike the other three, who all dreamt of success, Garrison Cade is dreaming of none other than Las Vegas showgirls. We see him stuffing twenty dollar bills into their underwear, and having a great time.

We fade from his dream, and see HBK, Luther and MJ sit up and look to the bottom of the room at Cade, as if they know what he is dreaming off. HBK clears his throat, and speaks up.

Shawn Michaels: I take back what I said earlier … lets make that dream a reality.

The three men all get out of bed, with HBK for some reason wearing his wrestling gear, Luther wearing his normal clothes, and Mark Jindrak wearing a thong. Luther and Michaels are about to ask Jindrak why he is wearing it, but decide not to waste time.

Jindrak is about to wake up Cade, but Michaels stops him, saying to let Cade sleep. The three men tip toe out of the room, and the video fades again.

The Wrestle Mania 22 logo flashes across the screen again, with the caption “Where Dreams Become Reality” flashing across the screen before we get the very last scene…

We end up, back in Garrison Cades dream … only this time, it’s Cade dressed as the Showgirl, parading around the dance floor, dancing and singing badly.

We then cut back, and see Cade has an even bigger grin than before, liking the dream, as we fade…

VOTE NOW FOR YOUR FAVOURITE VIA PM 1 being your favourite, 5 being the least favourite.

The top 3 will air at WrestleMania!!!

-------------

And, just to update on the progress of WrestleMania, 10 of the twelve matches are completed, with two left (two biggies). Pretty much all the promos are done, although I'll need to add in a lot of commentary before and after matches. It'll be a tight squeeze to get it completed by Thursday, but I think I'll get there.

I'll be reviewing shows tomorrow, and tomorrow only I'm afraid, as right now I've only got one priority when it comes to BTB, and thats completing this event.

More predictions are welcome, and please keep sending me your votes for the favourite WM trailer.

Da Wolf Guy's Smackdown Review:

Ok opening segment and it was good hype towards moving us to 'Mania, gave it the final push. This match is going to be great come 'Mania and really, this feud has been great all along too.

Haas had to get the win on SD! since Harris won on Raw but anyways, fun little match. Nice to see it being a friendly competiton come 'Mania, very similar to what Eddie and Rey did at WM 21.

JBL's interview was great, spot on throughout and I think he's about to begin main eventing whenever he loses the title to Hardy pretty much. He's pretty much earned that spot these past few months.

I'm seeing we're going to have squash matches to build Lesnar and Benoit up tonight, nothing better than having them look strong either. Lesnar destroys Moore, not much else you can say.

With so little build up so far, something makes me think HHH will continue feuding with Shane and possibly Vince come aftermath of 'Mania. Either way, I'm thinking we see an intense brawl this week at 'Mania.

Fun little six man tag though good to see Hardy and JBL not give away anything before 'Mania. The countout touch makes it seem as if JBL is indeed afraid of Hardy and adds a nice touch.

Another great interview, Heyman was great throughout and pointing out Benoit never won a legitimate World title seems to be getting into the head of Benoit, Lesnar's line was even good too.

The promos continue on being great and this was the best one so far, because of it's intensity. Both men were pumped and this match is very well going to deliver big time this 'Mania.

Squash win for Jericho, that's fine as he does need some momentum rolling into 'Mania. But um, ok little promo after with 'Taker playing mindgames. Of course, Jericho won't win this Sunday though.

Wow, all you needed was the staredown and that immediately got you a good promo. You could feel it and tell it was happening and be this intense. Short but sweet and to the point, which is fine.

And finally, good interview before the main event. Benoit gets his needed moment in the light by beating Maven and gets some extra hype. Aftermath was good too and this match is going to be insane.

Ok, WM Predictions....

WWE Championship
Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Chris Benoit

This is do or die for Benoit. It's been built with both men showing neither will back down but we know your history with Benoit. He eliminated 13 people in the Rumble and now, all he has to do is get past Lesnar. It's time to shine for Benoit after you had him go from fighting mid-card stars to WWE Champion.

World-Heavyweight Champion
John Cena (c) vs. Randy Orton

Something tells me Cena wins even though he did end up beating Orton last year. I just can't see Orton retaining as you know, it hasn't seemed for him to get the proper buildup to grab the title but anything is possible, I'll play it safe with Cena though.

United States Championship
JBL (c) vs. Matt Hardy

It's time to shine for Matt Hardy and now, Hardy will finally get that big singles belt he's waited for. All things point to Hardy but we know how you like to surprise us all. I still think Hardy ends up taking it despite interference from the Cabinet.

Money in the Bank & Intercontinental Championship; Roll of the Dice Match:
- 1: ELIMINATION MATCH - 2: LADDER MATCH (for MITB contract) - 3: LAST MAN STANDING - 4: QUINTET FREE FOR ALL (for IC Championship)- 5: STEEL CAGE MATCH - 6: SUBMISSION MATCH
Carlito vs. Edge (MITB Contract) vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Mr. Kennedy (IC Champion)

Really, these two are toss ups and really, either man can win either title/or briefcase. Carlito will lose the title come 'Mania, he's had a good reign but now it's time to end and why not give to to Mr. Kennedy, since he seems to be turning face. MITB is either between Edge and RVD but don't count out Mysterio, Edge however seems like he could very well take it to me.

WWE Tag Champs vs. World Tag Champs
AMW vs. WGTT

Even though the buildup hasn't been there, the match will certainly enough make up for it. After a fun little sportsmanship filled match, we see AMW gain the win since WGTT took it last year.

Women's Championship
Trish Stratus (c) vs. Shaniqua

Trish retains, another obvious call since it was made out to be that Shaniqua is leaving after 'Mania as the writers and wrestlers don't like her backstage attitude. Anyways, Trish retains despite a major beating from Shaniqua and overcomes the odds.

Christian vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin

It's time for Christian to beat a major main eventer and continue on to becoming a main eventer. Austin really doesn't need the win, I'm hoping he just puts over Christian in a good match that Christian wins with hopely no cheating from Tomko but we might see that, so we'll have to wait and see huh?

Chris Jericho vs. The Undertaker

It's Mania, Undertaker never loses. Obvious call here, and Jericho has seemed to show he isn't "too afraid" of Undertaker but deep down, we know he is. 'Taker wins despite a good fight from Jericho.

Shawn Michaels vs. The Rock

Since some of the other top heels are winning their matches, Rocky makes up for it with a win. It's going to be a real dream match, though overshadowed by Angle/Hart but still, it's going to be a classic. Both men are going to do everything they can and hopefully, we don't see interference from D-X.

Kurt Angle vs. Bret Hart

Hmmm, a toss up but just imagine what this would do for Angle if he did win. I could see the feel good win for Hart since he's leaving but Angle ending the "career" so to speak of Hart, he could brag on forever. So here's hoping to Angle takes the match.

Hulk Hogan, Mick Foley, and Rhyno vs. Ric Flair, Batista, and Nick Dinsmore

Evolution has too much stacked against them in two legends and one pissed off War Machine. Rhyno and Batista fighting could be great and intense and I have a feeling that really, the faces take the win despite Dinsmore's turning and leading to think Evolution would take it.

No Disqualification Match
Triple H vs. Shane McMahon

There could be a possibility Shane finds a way to miraculously win but I don't see it. This will be the blood brawl of the night though and I do have a feeling we''ll see a beatdown we'll never forget though, we'll have to wait and see what happens.

1) What Match Will Open The Show?? AMW vs. WGTT

2) What will be the biggest shock of the night?? Christian beats Austin.

3) What will be the match of the night?? Angle vs. Hart

4) How many shock appearances (if any) will there be?? Hmmm, maybe an appearance from Vince, really can't think of anyone else though.

5) How many titles will change hands?? I've got three, WWE, Women's, and US.

6) Who will be involved in the biggest spot of the night, and if you have an idea, what will the spot be?? I could see Kennedy doing a Kenton Bomb off the ladder, maybe some others but I'll go with that for now.

7) Where will next years Wrestle Mania be?? (TBA at the show - Shortlist; London, Minneapolis, New Orleans, Cleveland, Memphis) Here's hoping to New Orleans, since I'm from Louisiana and New Orleans could really use a major PPV.

Match Predictions

WWE Championship Match:
WWE Champion, Brock Lesnar vs. 2006 Royal Rumble Winner, Chris Benoit

Benoit has had a ton of momentum ever since his great match with Angle at Nemesis. He then had a huge Royal Rumble match and now he has got all of the momentum going into the biggest event of the year. Lesnar is an amazing champion but I see Benoit overtaking him in an amazing match with a handshake and the locker room celebrating with him in the middle of the ring to end the show.

World Heavyweight Championship Match:
John Cena vs. Randy Orton II

Cena won the match last year and they have both had an amazing year since WrestleMania 21. Orton has been establishing himself as a great heel the past couple of weeks. Since Cena won last year, Orton should pick up the win this year. Will we see Cena vs. Orton III next year?

United States Championship Match:
John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield vs. Matt Hardy

JBL has had the belt for nearly nine months and I see that we need a change in the US title seen right now. Hardy has had a pretty good year and he seems to have had JBL’s number these last couple of weeks and I see him beating JBL with the Cabinet having a big blow-up and maybe JBL will go to RAW or into the Smackdown main event scene.

Money in the Bank & Intercontinental Championship; Roll of the Dice Match:
- 1: ELIMINATION MATCH - 2: LADDER MATCH - 3: LAST MAN STANDING - 4: QUINTET FREE FOR ALL - 5: STEEL CAGE MATCH - 6: SUBMISSION MATCH
Carlito vs. Edge vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Mr. Kennedy

Like the majority of the members replying to this thread, I see the Intercontinental Championship being contested in a Quintet Free For All. I see Kennedy picking up the victory as you have been pushing him a lot in the last few weeks and he is some new blood to get the belt. In the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, I see Edge winning as he is due for a big push and move into the Main Event title picture and get the belt sometime within the next year.

WWE Tag Team Champions vs. World Tag Team Champions:
America’s Most Wanted vs. The Worlds Greatest Tag Team

This one is really pretty simple. World’s Greatest Tag Team won this match last year so that means that AMW should get the win this time around. Both teams are amazing and this should be a great match.

Women’s Championship Match:
Trish Stratus vs. Shaniqua

Even though Shaniqua has been on a tear since returning at Saturday Night’s Main Event, I see Trish defying all of the odds and beating the Amazon. With rumors of Shaniqua being disliked backstage and she could be gone soon, I see Trish keeping the belt and maybe turning heel sometime after Mania.

Inter promotional Match:
Christian vs. ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin

Christian has had one of the biggest years of a WWE Superstar in recent memory. I thought that he might get into the WWE Title picture after beating the Undertaker four straight times but this match will be his coming out party. Austin has also had a good year but I see Christian winning with some help from Tomko and he will become one of the top heels on RAW and maybe even get the World Title around SummerSlam.

Inter promotional Match:
Chris Jericho vs. The Undertaker

Jericho has been playing the heel very well in this feud. He has taken every opportunity to weaken the Deadman and he has not been beaten very often. However, this is WrestleMania and Undertaker never loses at Mania and this match will be no different. Taker wins in a match with a ton of near falls.

Icon vs. Icon:
Shawn Michaels vs. The Rock

Shawn Michaels has been playing mind games this whole time with the Rock and the Showstopper has had a great year. The Rock has had some great feuds this year as well. I see the Rock winning despite a lot of interference from DX and many heel tactics by Michaels. This match should be match of the night but with the rest of the card, it could just be another great match.

Match of the Millennium:
Kurt Angle vs. Bret Hart

This one has been brewing for nearly one year and this will all come to a head here tonight. Hart has been training like crazy and there is no doubt in my mind that he can still put on a great show. Angle is younger and could even be a better mat wrestler. That is why I see Angle winning. This match will feature a ton of submission moves and near falls but Angle should win with the Angle Lock and I wouldn’t be surprised if the two shared a hug or handshake after the match in a “passing of the torch” moment.

Six Man Tag Match:
Hulk Hogan, Mick Foley & Rhyno vs. Ric Flair, Batista & Nick Dinsmore

While Foley, Hogan and Rhyno are all very capable of helping the team to win this match, they don’t seem to have the chemistry needed to win a big tag team match. Flair, Batista and Dinsmore are one of the top stables in recent memory and they could be even bigger than DX after this match and they will control RAW after winning this one.

No Disqualifications:
Triple H vs. Shane McMahon

Even though he may be overconfident, I see Triple H still coming out on top. Shane will never be a part of the main roster so there is no need to push him because he isn’t going anywhere. I see a match with a ton of near falls and crazy stunts by Shane but in the end, The Game will be too much to overcome.

Mac reviews SmackDown
Great promo from Austin and Christian here. The beginning was typical Christian with the jokes and what not but when Christian started putting himself over, it got really good. Nicely done having Christian remind us about beating The Undertaker four times and ending Foley’s run. Nice ending as well to hype the Mania match and quite frankly, I’m looking to this match the most (I think I change it every week )

Good match, which is basically just a sampler of whats to come at Mania. Haas picks up the win and the four shake hands. Nothing much going on here but it does show the respect between the four men.

Another good promo from JBL. Typical Bradshaw promo of him putting himself over but it was very well done and JBL was definitely in character. The guarantee gives me hope that Bradshaw may retain the title but with the push Hardy has been getting…its not looking to good.

Squash win for Brock to get Lesnar a win before WrestleMania.

(Insert adjective for ‘good’ here) promo from Triple H and Shane McMahon. I liked how the crowd got behind him as he showed more and more heart throughout the promo. Triple H should, and will, leave WrestleMania with the victory but I don’t expect a squash.

Nice match to get Hardy some more momentum heading into Mania. The aftermath was pretty good as well, with JBL showing he’s not too confident about his guarantee.

The promos have been really on point tonight and this one is no different. Heyman is in typical hype mode as he puts over the dominance of Lesnar. I actually liked Brock’s part more as he seems focused and intense heading into Sunday.

That was interesting. Another great promo from you here, with Michaels and Rock both on point but the reactions is what made this really appealing. I noticed it on RAW and it continues here tonight. I guess the fans are getting behind HBK (or maybe they’re sick of Rock). Great job hyping the dream match.

Jericho wins a relatively short match against Kanyon. Most of the matches tonight have been squashes which is understandable as promos need to be the focal point tonight. Typical Taker stuff after the match. Jericho gets scared but manages to regain himself and cut a very good promo, putting himself over. Taker will win but it should be a good match.

Simple, short, effective. An inventive but still sufficient promo from Bret and Angle, adding tremendous hype to their dream match at Mania. Hart showing some guts at the end?? I definitely expect to see Angle pick up the win but a flukish, feel good win for Bret is not totally out of the question.

Not really important but something I noticed. I think you missed Rock vs. HBK in the match run down by the announce teams.

Nice, short, intense promo from Benoit. You make Benoit come across perfectly in his underdog role and this intense promo was a perfect example of that. After the promo, we get another squash with Benoit smoking Maven like Lesnar did earlier. The stare down afterwards was a nice final touch on the road to Mania.

Overall: 9/10 Another great show here Wolfy, big on promos, short on matches, and a nice final bit of hype for the WrestleMania pay per view. Really looking forward to it.

WWE Championship Match:
Brock Lesnar vs. Chris Benoit

Benoit's road to the top of the mountain culminates at WM22, a starlting image of two years ago. This match will finish off thenight, with the Wolverine celebrating proudly.

World Heavyweight Championship Match:
John Cena vs. Randy Orton

Cena won last year, now it's Orton's turn. Most World Champions lose their straps at Mania, and I don't expect this match to be any different.

United States Championship Match:
John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield vs. Matt Hardy

Hardy all the way. He desperately deserves it, and has been booked the stronger man in this feud, so I expect him to take home the gold.

Carlito vs. Edge - Wins MITB vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Mr. Kennedy- Wins IC Title

Kennedy picks up the Intercontinental Championship in the Quintlet Match, then Edge takes the MITB in the Ladder Match, moving even further towards the main event.

Inter Promotional Match:
Christian vs. ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin

This is a hard match to predict, but my vote goes to Christian, merely because of the fact he will benefit more from a win.

Inter Promotional Match:
Chris Jericho vs. The Undertaker

It's Wrestlemania damnit, Taker cannot lose!

Icon vs. Icon:
Shawn Michaels vs. The Rock

Gonna go with The Rock in this one, with the face winning to end the feud.

Match of the Millennium:
Kurt Angle vs. Bret Hart

I can't see Hart winning, despite the fact that it's just as hard to see him losing. Angle goes over in a great match, with an emotional aftermath.

Six Man Tag Match:
Hulk Hogan, Mick Foley & Rhyno vs. Ric Flair, Batista & Nick Dinsmore

Hogan will not lose at Mania, and the faces need to win to end this feud.

No Disqaulifications:
Triple H vs. Shane McMahon

The Game wins a suprisingly gruesome match, further establishing his sick legacy.

WWE Tag Team Champions vs World Tag Team Champions:
America's Most Wanted vs. World's Greatest Tag Team

Goping for the WGTT purely because of the fact I like them better, and IMO they deserve to win.

Women's Championship Match:
Trish Stratus vs Shaniqua

The way the Amazon has been oushed, there's no way she can lose....right?

**

1) What Match Will Open The Show? AMW vs. WGTT

2) What will be the biggest shock of the night? Jericho goes over Taker in a shocker?

3) What will be the match of the night? All will be amazing, but I'm going for the main event.

4) How many shock appearances (if any) will there be? I suspect there will be a few, but I have no idea who or how many.

5) How many titles will change hands? 4

6) Who will be involved in the biggest spot of the night, and if you have an idea, what will the spot be? I expect Shane O to do something completely shocking, maybe an elbow from the ceiling???

7) Where will next years Wrestle Mania be?? (TBA at the show - Shortlist; London, Minneapolis, New Orleans, Cleveland, Memphis)

Holy shit man, this PPV is going to be the single greatest event in BTB history! I truely cannot wait my friend.

Smackdown! Review

Christian/Steve Austin Promo: Great promo to conitue fueling up Christian vs. Austin at WrestleMania 22. I think this was the best of the whole feud. Now I am just pumped to a whole new level for this match. I expect Christian to turn out the victor when things are all said and done, in what is not going to be the best match, but it defiantly will be a very entertaining one as both men deliver at Mania.

James Storm vs. Charlie Haas: Charlie Haas gets the victory to pick one up in return for TWGTT going into Mania for this tag match rematch.

John Bradshaw Layfield Interview: John Bradshaw Layfield gives a good promo taking about how much superior he is to Hardy, and after JBL has guarnteed himself to be walking out champion, you should expect just that. For weeks I been on the Hardy train of winning at Mania with the belt, but now it could actually end in a DQ or JBL actually winning.

Brock Lesnar vs. Shannon Moore: A basic squash, not having Lesnar prove much besides the fact that he is a powerhouse and doesn't need Heyman for a win. Looking forward to seeing how much power he will have this Sunday against Benoit.

Shane McMahon/Triple H Promo: A very much needed promo for the least built match at WrestleMania 22. This should be a good ol' Shane McMahon Street Fight and I can't wait to see what all happens at Mania.

The Cabinet vs. Matt Hardy & A.F.A.: Matt Hardy yet again gets one up on The Cabinet, conitueing his road to WrestleMania strongly. The Cabinet walk away, with John Bradshaw Layfield thinking he doesn't have a chance at winning this match.

Paul Heyman/Brock Lesnar Interview: Great interview here, mostly on the part of Heyman with Lesnar's portion being more so decent. Heyman's lines were just great especially when he got to the "Dreams Become A Reality" part. Great promo, great build on Lesnar before Mania, and this shall defiantly be a match to look forward to this Sunday.

The Rock/Shawn Michaels Promo: Another great promo, this time for the Rock/HBK fued. The most unpredictable match on the card, and it looks the fans are starting to side with HBK especially after he said he doesn't need DX. This has to be one of the top three matches that I am truly looking forward to at WrestleMania 22.

Chris Jericho vs. Kanyon: Squash victory for Chris Jericho over an opponet who is no threat compared to Undertaker.

Chris Jericho Promo: Y2J gets freaked out by the video package, and tries to cut a convincing promo, but it is obvious that Taker has gotten into his head.

Bret Hart/Kurt Angle Promo: A short, but surreal moment with Bret Hart and Kurt Angle staring each other down as Hart's final match is against Angle this Sunday.

WrestleMania Build Up Promo: Great promo, I am now defiantly into this pay-per-view. Quite possibly the best WrestleMania card of all time, at least for BTB, if not the real thing.

Chris Benoit Promo: Good promo with Benoit building up his match with Lesnar a little more taling about how he will not quiet until he becomes World Champion. Very good short promo, defiantly for Benoit.

Chris Benoit vs. Maven: Another squash for tonight, now from Benoit making him look strong as Lesnar did earlier for himself. A good stare down at the end of the show getting the final stare down before WrestleMania to end Smackdown!

WWE Wrestle Mania XXII Predictions:

Date: 26th March 2006
Location: MGM Grand Garden Arena; Las Vegas, Nevada
Event Music: Shinedown; Shed Some Light & Atmosphere

WWE Championship Match:
WWE Champion, Brock Lesnar vs. 2006 Royal Rumble Winner, Chris Benoit

I think this is defiantly Benoit's night to shine. I never expected Brock Lesnar to have a long title reign plus it is time for Benoit to finally get gold.

World Heavyweight Championship Match:
John Cena vs. Randy Orton II

I think we will get one retain and one gain for the WM main events. Here is where I think the retain will happen, giving Cena a win over "The Legend Killer" Randy Orton, then possibly at Backlash or Vengeance Randy will get the title.

United States Championship Match:
John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield vs. Matt Hardy

I expect there to be something like a count out or a DQ here for JBL to retain the belt, but hey there might also be a new US Champion if JBL is getting pushed into the main event scene straight after Mania.

Carlito vs. Edge #2 vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Mr. Kennedy

Match 1, I think will be a Sudden Death Free For All. I think Rob Van Dam will win it to become Intercontinental Champion.

Match 2, I think Edge will win to get a shot at the title in a ladder match.

WWE Tag Team Champions vs. World Tag Team Champions:
America’s Most Wanted vs. The Worlds Greatest Tag Team

Both teams have been even up to this point, but I think AMW will get the win for the rematch from last year.

Women’s Championship Match:

Trish Stratus vs. Shaniqua

I don't see Shaniqua here more than to just give Trish a strong opponet for Mania. I have full faith in Stratus retaining to get a second victory over "The Amazon."

Inter promotional Match:
Christian vs. ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin

Christian is new blood and I think 2006 is his year to become WWE Champion. This is Christian's time and I think Austin will do the job to put over Christian. Also, I think to top it all off, Christian will get a clean victory over The Rattlesnake.

Inter promotional Match:
Chris Jericho vs. The Undertaker

I actually think that after Mania, this feud could conitue after the draft. I doubt Undertaker will be losing at WrestleMania in this BTB.

Icon vs. Icon:
Shawn Michaels vs. The Rock

Quite possibly the match I am looking most forward too. HBK and The Rock will defiantly steal the show, in this very unpredictable match, to compete with Hart vs. Angle. I also think that you will pull out the shocker and give The Rock the victory after even though HBK said he would win alone, I think he will lose with his DX members running in, getting fought off, and him losing.

Match of the Millennium:
Kurt Angle vs. Bret Hart

I think it will be draging on after Hart loses some juice, but this still should be a great match. I see Kurt Angle winning as Hart isn't in his prime.

Six Man Tag Match:
Hulk Hogan, Mick Foley & Rhyno vs. Ric Flair, Batista & Nick Dinsmore

I don't see Hulk Hogan losing at WrestleMania at this day and age, especially against Flair.

No Disqualifications:
Triple H vs. Shane McMahon

HHH is the wrestler in this match, and I can see Shane O'Mac putting up one heck of a fight, but when it is all said and done I think Triple H will be the winner of the brother-in-laws.

1) What Match Will Open The Show?? John Bradshaw Layfield vs. Matt Hardy.

2) What will be the biggest shock of the night?? Kurt Angle and Bret Hart have an emotional celebration.

3) What will be the match of the night?? Shawn Michaels vs. The Rock

4) How many shock appearances (if any) will there be?? One, Eric Bischoff.

5) How many titles will change hands?? Three, US Championship, Intercontinental Championship, and WWE Championship.

6) Who will be involved in the biggest spot of the night, and if you have an idea, what will the spot be?? Shane McMahon, Diving Elbow Drop from the top of the WrestleMania 22 entrance wall.

7) Where will next years Wrestle Mania be?? (TBA at the show - Shortlist; London, Minneapolis, New Orleans, Cleveland, Memphis) I want the event in Buckeye Land, we need a Mania!
