Re: Being The Booker

- A nice opening segment between Austin/Christian, only just hyping their match more for this Sunday night. I loved the opening to the promo as Tomko and Christian basically ran down all the stars but the promo appears to wane a little in about the middle of the promo. Austin seemed to get too deep as he should be about respect and it didn’t seem -right to me. None the less it was brilliantly done and the ending was great with Christian disrespecting Austin. Can’t wait for the match at Mania. Should be brutal.

- The first match was great and like I and many others probably though as well, Haas goes over in this match, evening things up for this week heading into Wrestlemania. The handshake after the match was good as these are 2 of the best teams ever to grace TNA and WWE and this Sunday they go head to head. Should be a well respected match and should be a good match. I see AMW taking it though for some apparent reason.

- AWESOME promo from JBL. For the length it was, it got the point across very, very well and indicated what he is feeling like heading into the match. Referring as usual to who he has beaten and how god-like he is and staying in character which is always important for a wrestler like JBL. He is gold and you have written this promo as well as you could of.

- Brock wins, rather meh on this match to be honest. The simple wins that just reiterates his strength and dominance and sets him in good sted going into his title defence at Mania against Benoit. Nothing happened which is said but im hopeful something is going to happen later on in the night.

- Oh dear, Wolf. You are maybe one of the best PPV Promo writers I have ever seen. Every promo, from your one at the Rumble to the others that I have seen have been nothing short of amazing. If anything, these videos are enough to want me to watch Mania. So glad you took us back to what you did at the Rumble kind of as I always enjoyed that promo.

- Hrrrm very, very good promo that at the beginning didn’t really appeal to me but it really picked up once HHH got into the swing of things. I like the underdog thing you are doing with Shane about being fearless and not expected to win. Hopefully you don’t over do this as you have done the same with Mysterio. HHH as usual, focused and intent but would have liked maybe a longer talk with HHH having some more words, maybe about the past between the 2. That would have set it of and got me more into the feud than I am at this point in time.

- Disappointed a little with the next match as I would have liked more than a staredown heading into Mania. Obviously it keeps them wanting to get their hands on eachother but it seems staredowns have been overused this week on the 2 shows. Maybe it’s just my imagination I suppose. But none the less, they should put on an interesting match at ‘Mania.

- The typical promo that we have come to expect from Heyman and Lesner with Heyman just putting over Lesnar once again, maybe this being his last chance to do so before Mania. Short and sweet which should always be the case with them 2 as Heyman is better getting straight to the point. Lesners words at the end were good but I would have preferred him to say nothing and let his actions speak for him come the Benoit match that he is bound to get involved in. Crushing the Dream was a very good concept for the promo as well, but for some reason, I can’t see that happening and I see Benoit finally coming from the ashes and claiming glory at last.

- Glad to see that there was no fighting, just 2 good to great mic workers going at it in Rock and HBK. I liked the whole concept of this promo as well as it was firmly based around the fact they are 2 of the best entertainers in the industry. The fact DX wasn’t there made it feel more special as it was and rightfully has a feeling to be. I see a handshake coming this Sunday between them. I just can’t see them parting in a different way.

- I will be frank, Im disappointed at the lack of good matches there have seemed to be. I know its build up to a big PPV but it wouldn’t hurt to have a couple of big match-ups. Onto the actual match and a good win for Jericho but obvious at the same time also. Im glad you did the video again and im also glad you got Jericho in a different way than most generic BTB’ers pose in him. You actually made him have more of an emotion that just funniness which is easy to follow. Strong words from him and I firmly expect him to win at Mania, my prediction hasn’t changed at all.

- I don’t know why but there was a few rights and also a dew wrongs with the Hart/Angle promo. I liked the fact you showed the emotion of Hart and then Angle playing the normal heel and spoiling the moment but at the same time, the promo didn’t seem forced but it seemed thrown in a little bit. Maybe it was because the length wasn’t as big as it probably deserved compared to something like Christian/Stone Cold. None the less it has got me amped for the match and im ready and waiting to ready it.

- And now onto the final action and final match before Mania between Chris Benoit and……… Maven? Huh, ermm ok I suppose. Would have liked a better match and a bit of a bigger opponent but its ok I guess. Benoit gets the win and we are treated to another glimpse for the 3rd time tonight of Lesner. Unlike early in the night, this is the perfect way to go into Mania with both men staring down, war etched on their minds. Keeps the overall big-time feeling for Mania and I am pumped beyond belief for the event.

- Overall it was a sweet show. I maybe come across harsh sometimes but sometimes it my imagination and sometimes it not on certain things. Overall this show was on a par with RAW or maybe a bit worse but none the less. It’s more than good enough to get me pumped for ‘Mania Exceptional show Wolf, just brilliant.

Re: Being The Booker

FINAL CARD for WWE Wrestle Mania XXII:

WWE Championship Match:
WWE Champion, Brock Lesnar vs. 2006 Royal Rumble Winner, Chris Benoit

Chris Benoit keeps being built, I believe you just gave the title to Lesnar because you had to take Eddie out. The Royal Rumble winner should win most of the time, so Benoit gets my choice, cause Lesnar isn't an amazing champ.

World Heavyweight Championship Match:
John Cena vs. Randy Orton II

I have a feeling Orton is going to win, Cena won last year, and Orton could turn heel and win, its not that bad to have a heel win the main event at Mania, but it isn't great I think Orton should win though with his build cause Cena has dominanted with promos, and Orton needs to prove something or he'll look really weak.

United States Championship Match:
John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield vs. Matt Hardy

Matt Hardy has had the build, and JBL is great and all, but I believe Hardy will get the push and the go ahead to face off.

Money in the Bank & Intercontinental Championship; Roll of the Dice Match:
- 1: ELIMINATION MATCH - 2: LADDER MATCH - 3: LAST MAN STANDING - 4: QUINTET FREE FOR ALL - 5: STEEL CAGE MATCH - 6: SUBMISSION MATCH
Carlito vs. Edge vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Mr. Kennedy

I think Edge will win MITB, and RVD will win IC, Edge was just tossed into this, and Edge has been a contender and this would give him a chance to be a good champion for the first time in the future. RVD has been built decently as well, Rey just came out of a title reign, Kennedy I see feuding for the title in the future, and Carlito is champ and I think the title will change hands, so I give that to RVD.

WWE Tag Team Champions vs. World Tag Team Champions:
America’s Most Wanted vs. The Worlds Greatest Tag Team

Last year WGTT won, It makes sense with WGTT winning on SD last leaving with the momentum, to lose to AMW on Sunday night at Mania AMW is my pick.

Women’s Championship Match:

Trish Stratus vs. Shaniqua

Your a Shaniqua mark I think for some reason, but now I think to myself, Shaniqua's going out so Trish is gonna win.

Inter promotional Match:
Christian vs. ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin

I think Christian is on his way to the top, Stone Cold probably will win the fight, but Austin will be left standing with Christian out, Christian will win so he can start his way up to the World Heavyweight Championship possibly?

Inter promotional Match:
Chris Jericho vs. The Undertaker

Undertaker is undefeated, 13-0 in your thread at Mania, I know your not dum so you'll let Taker take down the win though Jericho will put up a good fight.

Icon vs. Icon:
Shawn Michaels vs. The Rock

I can see DX helping HBK, but Rock will overcome him. This is predictable now that I think about it and all.

Match of the Millennium:
Kurt Angle vs. Bret Hart

This is a passing of the torch per say, Hart I know is on his way out, and Angle winning this could easily put him as the biggest heel of all time if he cripples him. Angle wins but Bret leaves on a good note for sure I believe.

Six Man Tag Match:
Hulk Hogan, Mick Foley & Rhyno vs. Ric Flair, Batista & Nick Dinsmore

I think Evolution is building up, and Hogan I think is on his way out, I think Rhyno isn't good enough, and this will be the big push Evolution gets to move up the scene and get Big Dave in the title scene possibly.

No Disqualifications:
Triple H vs. Shane McMahon

The McMahons stick together, and Vince will help Shane, leading to The McMahons vs HHH basically which would be interesting. I think Shane could use this, and HHH has been used well, but I could see HHH winning as well cause he's in need of a nice push win either way its going to be great.

(And, joining in with people that are doing what now seems a popular feature, I'll set a few questions too if you wish to answer them)

1) What Match Will Open The Show?? JBL vs Matt Hardy, for the US Championship

2) What will be the biggest shock of the night?? Randy Orton cheating, and turning into a complete heel, and beating John Cena.

3) What will be the match of the night?? Angle vs Bret of course, it might not be if you want to pull him off realistically, but Bret vs Angle should be the MOTN.

4) How many shock appearances (if any) will there be?? 2, Probably Vince, and another not sure who though probably if Kane counts as one him.

5) How many titles will change hands?? Five.

6) Who will be involved in the biggest spot of the night, and if you have an idea, what will the spot be?? Shane McMahon and Triple H, possibly a Diving Elbow through the announcers table?

7) Where will next years Wrestle Mania be?? (TBA at the show - Shortlist; London, Minneapolis, New Orleans, Cleveland, Memphis) I think it will go on in Minneapolis.

Here is all my thoughts man, I won't be reviewing SD right now I am busy with SNME, I will review Mania DEFINATELY and I will be sure to make time for that. SD was very good this week, better then Raw, and a great build. Those are my predictions, and hop onto MSN sometime, I want to talk to you Wolf bud...

Re: Being The Booker

Smackdown! March 23rd Review

Christian Promo: Great final promo for a WrestleMania match that I am really looking forward to. I hadn’t realized how well you have built up Christian over the past year. His promos and matches have all been great and I loved some of his lines during this one. I see him breaking out this Sunday by having a great match, win or lose

Storm vs. Haas: Very good match between these two. Smart to have Haas win to even the score at 1 to 1 and I liked the show of sportsmanship after the match

JBL Interview: Perfect JBL as you had him in character great. When he was running down the names of the people he has beaten I seem to remember he didn’t beat them fairly and that is what I see happening on Sunday. JBL always cheats to win

Lesnar vs. Moore: Very tough one to pick…but seriously, the fact that Lesnar just walked right up the ramp shows me that he will be all business come Sunday

WrestleMania Commercial: Very funny stuff! Loved all of the trademark lines and the Rico/Simmons part. The ending was very funny as were all of the WrestleMania commercials but this one was the best by far

Shane/Triple H Promo: Very good mic work from both men. I see Triple H being way too overconfident going into the match and Shane will put up a great fight

Six-Man Tag: Great way to get this feud more airtime. Hardy continuing to dominate the cabinet is very surprising a JBL should not be confident going into Sunday

Lesnar/Heyman Interview: Very good mic work from Heyman as usual and this was just one last time for the two to warn Benoit about what they think will happen n Sunday but I think Benoit has too much momentum to lose

Rock/HBK Promo: Amazing promo between two of the greatest in WWE History. I’m feeling a Michaels’ face turn in the coming year after seeing how you had him act during this promo. Can’t wait for one of the best WrestleMania matches in history

Jericho vs. Kanyon: Dominating victory by Jericho as expected and the Undertaker video seemed to really get to him. Jericho and Taker should have a great match on Sunday

Angle/Hart Promo: Kind of a short promo but the amazing stare down really made the promo work. I can’t wait to see how you use Hart in his match because he can’t do all of the things that he used to be able to do but he should still be great

WM Card Rundown: Like I said in the RAW review, the card would easily be the top WrestleMania card of all time. So many great matches and it will be posted one week from today!!!

Benoit vs. Maven: Very good short, typical promo for the Wolverine. Obvious win in the Main Event and the staredown after was epic!! Should be an awesome Main Event

Overall: 10/10, amazing promos throughout the show. Loved the HBK/Rock one the best followed second by the Christian/Stone Cold confrontation. I have been following this thread and replying since Armageddon and this WrestleMania should be the best in BTB history! Can’t Wait!!

WWE Championship Match:
WWE Champion, Brock Lesnar vs. 2006 Royal Rumble Winner, Chris Benoit

Faces usually win in the main event of WrestleMania. And after what Lesnar has done to Benoit and his family, he may have a chance at revenge.

World Heavyweight Championship Match:
John Cena vs. Randy Orton II

Cena won last year, Orton wins this year. Plain and simple. I think by the end of this match, Randy's heel turn will be complete.

United States Championship Match:
John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield vs. Matt Hardy

JBL has held the title for a long time. With all the momentum he's getting, I can't see Hardy losing at the grandest stage of 'em all.

Money in the Bank & Intercontinental Championship; Roll of the Dice Match:
- 1: ELIMINATION MATCH - 2: LADDER MATCH - 3: LAST MAN STANDING - 4: QUINTET FREE FOR ALL - 5: STEEL CAGE MATCH - 6: SUBMISSION MATCH
Carlito vs. Edge vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Mr. Kennedy

I think the first match will be the Quintet Free For All, with the MITB being a ladder match. Kennedy will win the IC title, giving him a HUGE push, with RVD winning the breifcase.

WWE Tag Team Champions vs. World Tag Team Champions:
America’s Most Wanted vs. The Worlds Greatest Tag Team

Look at Cena/Orton

Women’s Championship Match:
Trish Stratus vs. Shaniqua

She's recieved a mega push since her return, I can't see it ending.

Inter promotional Match:
Christian vs. ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin

Christian will probably win after a controversial finish. Maybe a run-in??

Inter promotional Match:
Chris Jericho vs. The Undertaker

14-0.

Icon vs. Icon:
Shawn Michaels vs. The Rock

DX will interfere, but the plan backfires and Rock steals it.

Match of the Millennium:
Kurt Angle vs. Bret Hart

I'm expecting nothing less than perfection. I think Hart will pass the torch. Maybe Angle turns face? I see them sharing an emotional hug at the end of the match.

Six Man Tag Match:
Hulk Hogan, Mick Foley & Rhyno vs. Ric Flair, Batista & Nick Dinsmore

Evolution. Nothing I can really say, but I hope I'm right.

No Disqualifications:
Triple H vs. Shane McMahon

Shane will beat HHH after a huge "Holy Shit" worthy spot. After the match, HHH will be in shock after losing such a small profile match.

1) What Match Will Open The Show?? Going with the majority here. The US title match will open the show.

2) What will be the biggest shock of the night?? DX breaking up after HBK/Rock.

3) What will be the match of the night?? Bret Hart vs. Kurt Angle.

4) How many shock appearances (if any) will there be?? One, Goldberg. He'll screw Austin out of his match, restarting their feud and getting some revenge.

5) How many titles will change hands?? All of 'em.

6) Who will be involved in the biggest spot of the night, and if you have an idea, what will the spot be?? Every man in the Roll of the Dice match. Rey will hit a Senton off the top of the ladder to the other four men on the outside.

7) Where will next years Wrestle Mania be?? (TBA at the show - Shortlist; London, Minneapolis, New Orleans, Cleveland, Memphis)

London.

Re: Being The Booker

Hilarious way to start the show as Christian & Tomko run down Rock, HHH, Angle, Holly & the Dudleyz. Then they move onto Austin and this brings SCSA out. Tomko is banished to the back, oddly just leaving without Christian stopping him, CLB asks him to go? And now, Austin is playing Christian at his own game, which doesn't seem to set well with him. Christian getting a decent reaction from the crowd but then he bails away from Austin and throws beer in his face, great way to build up this feud and start the final show before WM

Haas beats Storm to make it 1-1 between the teams heading into the decider at WM, where it seems both will be faces. Can't wait for that match

JBL promises victory, but Hardy may steal it from him and take some much deserved gold home, as JBL has held the belt for a LONG time, and Hardy is more than capable of being US champion

Lesnar is looking solid, even if he only mauled Moore, but I can still sense a Benoit victory

LOL I forgot about this video, very funny

Wow Shane is ready, but you can obviously tell he's worrying, I can see a few crazy spots in this match, and a possible MOTN

Hardy's momentum continues as he and the AFA win via countout over the Cabinet, JBL has had literally no steam ahead of WM, so either he gets a shock win or Hardy wins like I think

Strong words from a confident Lesnar & Heyman, but you can never count Benoit out, especially in a title match with the build he's had. It's gonna go down to the wire

HBK & Rock with a grand promo to finalize the build for their match and yay (Originality) Rock gets a mixed reaction heading into WM, again. Honestly, it seems to happen to Rock before every WM, and while it's original in BTB, it's been seen before quite a bit, and isn't too pleasing to know that the heel has as much support as the face. Regardless, Rock vs HBK will be a blockbuster

Jericho beats Kanyon easily, as you'd expect

And now Taker sends a message with an eery video that has become typical of him in his feuds, and Jericho is clearly offput as he gives a simple underdog speech about ending the winning streak of Taker. Will he? No, I don't think so, Taker will win it

Bret Hart is here, and it's another typical Bret speech, the same kind of things for the last few weeks is getting a bit repeptitive, but thankfully it's the last time he'll have to do it, and now Angle is here, what's going down now? A few words and an intense staredown, you can picture the atmosphere you described, and it will be another dream match

Good promo from Benoit, and he follows it up by tearing Maven apart in a faily lackluster main event, but here comes Lesnar! The two have a staredown, similar to the Hart/Angle one earlier, and it's definately on for Sunday

Another top show, and WM is looking to be a cracker. 9/10

WWE Championship Match:
Brock Lesnar vs. Chris Benoit

It's Benoit's time, the moster push he got in the Rumble match culminates here with a massive win over Lesnar in a great end to the night

World Heavyweight Championship Match:
John Cena vs. Randy Orton

Really not sure on this, my mind says Orton, but a gut feeling says Cena will retain, although I would love to see Orton with it, Cena/Christian sounds promising so I'll go with Cena to retain

United States Championship Match:
John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield vs. Matt Hardy

Hardy has had all the momentum so I'll go with him, as he has shown he deserves it, but I'm not ruling out a surprise win to JBL thanks to the Cabinet perhaps

Carlito vs. Edge - Wins MITB vs. Rob Van Dam Wins IC Title vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Mr. Kennedy

RVD gets the IC belt in the Quintet fall, and then Edge wins the MITB in a spotfest Ladder Match in the second fall

Inter Promotional Match:
Christian vs. ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin

Tough to call as both men have looked strong, but Christian is going places in this thread and this win could be the start of his rise to the title

Inter Promotional Match:
Chris Jericho vs. The Undertaker

No matter what build up you give it, Taker has to win, and he should making it 14-0 in the process

Icon vs. Icon:
Shawn Michaels vs. The Rock

Rock wins, DX tries to help HBK but cannot save him, and the People's Champion gets a much needed victory

Match of the Millennium:
Kurt Angle vs. Bret Hart

Bret lets Angle go over, and after the match, a handshake or hug is shared for that special moment in a very special night

Six Man Tag Match:
Hulk Hogan, Mick Foley & Rhyno vs. Ric Flair, Batista & Nick Dinsmore

Good guys finally bring the wild Evolution to justice for a feel good WM feeling, and some Hulk nostalgia

No Disqaulifications:
Triple H vs. Shane McMahon

Triple H wins a bloody, insane match and will no doubt be filled with crazy stunts by Shane, as per expected

WWE Tag Team Champions vs World Tag Team Champions:
America's Most Wanted vs. World's Greatest Tag Team

Going for the WGTT in this one, tough to call, but I have a feeling they deserve it more, just

Women's Championship Match:
Trish Stratus vs Shaniqua

I hate Shaniqua and think Trish is a better champ, but you seem to be a mark for Shaniqua, so I'll go with her

**

1) What Match Will Open The Show?? AMW vs WGTT

2) What will be the biggest shock of the night?? Could be Bret Hart winning his last EVER match, but I'm not sure

3) What will be the match of the night?? Can't decide, all of them

4) How many shock appearances (if any) will there be?? Sting does something maybe? Where is he anyways?

5) How many titles will change hands?? 3

6) Who will be involved in the biggest spot of the night, and if you have an idea, what will the spot be?? Shane McMahon - Jumping off something, like the titantron highrise again...

7) Where will next years Wrestle Mania be?? (TBA at the show - Shortlist; London, Minneapolis, New Orleans, Cleveland, Memphis)

Wow, everything is set in motion for the greatest of the greats, I can't wait Wolf, I will be reading thoroughly when posted, it should be nothing short of an absolute cracker!
