Re: Being the booker

Good recap and a lot of the choices made sense. The only problem was I thought the War Games match would rank more higher in top PPV match from Raw. Great show, and I'm looking forward to the Smackdown Recap Show. 1!

Re: Being the booker

- BEST OF RAW 2005 –

I am not going to call myself an experienced reader, (June) but I did read every PPV this year.

I can agree with the fifth best Raw match. Trish and Shaniqua should have been higher, possibly three. Teams Foley and Flair were one of the best matches EVER! They should be one or two of all time, not of 2005 in this thread. RVD is rising, so I will not disagree with his position.

Never was here for the April 4th match. Rey has been on fire, so it does merit mention. Cena versus Orton at Wrestlemania was a great match, and the foundation of my writing style. I will have to vehemently disagree with the fourth best match as well. This was a good match, but no means a top five one. HBK is meritorious of four since he was the champion for a while. Surprised that he is there since there are so many young stars. I suppose the Christian, Orton, and Cena will round them off, which is unfair since Rey held the IC title for seven months.

Once again, not there for the third best match, but it would have been a great one with Undertaker and HBK in a rematch of Wrestlemania. It did lead to a title change as well. Cool, you had the concept of a blindfold match before the WWE. Orton has stepped up since then, but he has not won the title. Rey and RVD had a good match at Nemesis, but that was not even the THIRD BEST MATCH AT THAT PPV!! Yup, Orton is third rising star, which makes sense since he held the title at the beginning of the year and has been amazing as a face.

Too bad Christian did not win that match! Seemed like a PPV main event by reading the recapitulation. DX forming was a HUGE MOMENT as Undertaker was buried alive and they have been the funniest group. Orton and Cena at Wrestlemania already had its fifteen minutes of fame. Oh well, it was the Wrestlemania main event. Christian at two does not surprise at all. I want the Christian pinning Undertaker calendar!

Rey and HBK was hyped well going into COTC. Foley and Flair had that great promo, one of the best ever in terms of seriousness. Now, please be serious!! Orton vs. Taker in the cell was the best match of the year!!! I think many will disagree, but I do not fully disagree. Orton did win, but HBK had interference. It is tough to say which match was the best. There are so many. Cena won the world title at Wrestlemania and at the end of the year, thus it makes sense to have him dubbed as superstar of the year.

Great recap, looking forward to Smackdown!

Re: Being the booker

I liked the show, since I have been a reader since April of 05, I knew most of what happened, and can thoroughly agree with all the choices, but the War Games match could've been higher up, as I thought it was tremendous.

Very good BOR show Wolfy, well set out.

Re: Being the booker

Good best of show here, which covered all the main points from the year. Cena was the only choice for superstar of the year, with him holding the belt for 6 months, and with him winning the RR match. Surprised to see Orton/Taker as MOTY, but then again, it was a very good match, if a little bit spotty at times. Surprised to see the war games as low as it was, but the matches above it had more significance I guess. Don’t get Rey/RVD at 3, with it being probably 5th or 6th best match at nemesis. Nice choices for the other moments, although Trish should have been a bit higher. Don’t remember HBK/Rey, although I should do as I was about then. Could have happened in the week I was on holiday.

Smackdown best of should be great as well, and if Benoit/Angle isn’t MOTY then something is seriously wrong

Re: Being the booker

Okay, heres the situation.

First off, I have absolutely no idea what happened with the moderator situation, but it had absolutely nothing to do with me.

Secondly, I made a pretty rash decision a few weeks back, and decided to quit BTB. I'll not go into the reasons, as its probably obvious why. Yeah, stupid reason, but at least I'm big enough to admit it. I didnt post about it, as I didnt intend on creating a fuss, or have some people immediately judge me as an attention seeker, or something else.

Thirdly, over the past week, I had told a few people (wont name names, as for one, I'm not 100% certain who) but I had made the decision not to quit BTB, but to take a Leave of absense for a few months, and the reasons for this are two fold.

1) I just started a new job, and cant dedicate enough time to writing weekly shows, and giving out reviews.

2) Over this period of time, I could build up an amount of shows as far up to Wrestle Mania as possible, and then, when I begin to post them, it would leave enough time for me to return all the reviews I get for shows, rather than how many I can review.

This will remain my plan for the upcoming months now, but since being made a moderator, obviously I'll be spending more time on the forum, even if not posting shows.

Please dont reply to this post, as their is nothing that needs to be commented on as far as I see.

Re: Being the booker

28 Days from now, I'll be making my return to booking.

Since I last posted a show, I've been slowly building up shows, and had previously intended on going the entire way to Wrestle Mania before posting anything, but I've had a change of heart.

Instead, I'm going to be posting the road to Wrestle Mania in three stages. Stage 1, will be the lead up to Royal Rumble, and the Royal Rumble event itself.

From here, I'll then disappear for another while to continue making progress on shows.

Stage 2 will be the period from Royal Rumble, up to, and including Saturday Nights Main Event (February 11th, thread time).

Finally, once I get everything from that point on, up to Wrestle Mania completed, I will then post that final stretch for the third and final stage.

Taking it in stages is the best possible way for me to to it, as I will be able to return all reviews for the shows, and not just a select few as previously done.

Before next month though, I'll be posting the Best of Smackdown 2005 show which I never got around to posting, along with a schedule, just to give anyone interested a guidline for my Road to Wrestle Mania. For now though, just to refresh the memories, I'll post the current Royal Rumble card...

Current Card for WWE Royal Rumble:

Date: 22nd January 2006
Location: Madison Square Garden; New York City, New York
Event Music: Adema, Sevenfold

30 Man Royal Rumble:
Winner has automatic shot at EITHER brand’s Champion at Wrestle Mania XXII:
Entrants in Alphabetical order;
Batista, Carlito, Christian, John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield, Luther Reigns, Matt Hardy, Mr. Kennedy, The Rock, Triple H

World Heavyweight Championship Match:
John Cena vs. The Undertaker

WWE Championship Match:
Brock Lesnar vs. Chris Jericho

Re: Being The Booker

From what I've heard, you are truly a BTB legend. I hope I can learn from your BTB and enjoy it at the same time. Expect reviews from me, and I'm glad to see you are returning.

Re: Being The Booker

Better than what you did for Wrestlemania XXI. I know you are occupied, so I am just glad you are doing something. Your Royal Rumble card looks good at the moment, especially your title matches.

Re: Being The Booker

This is great that you are returning. I have never gotten to actually review one of your shows, but I've read them and they are great. Also can you give me who the champion's are in your thread? Thanks.
