Raw Review
It may not seem as detailed as usual, sorry.

Great opening commentary

The opening segment involving Cena was extremely well done. His words were perfect, and Flair’s involvement flowed wonderfully as well. Rhyno becomes the first victim of the new champ, in what was an electric way to kick Raw off. No offense, but I just can’t believe you put the belt back on Cena! I hope a Smackdown guy wins the Rumble, and Cena goes into Mania for a face title retain, which I would like better. Or better yet, a heel taking the title from Cena at Mania….? Not gonna happen though.

Edge is focused, and will likely have a full blown snap by Mania.

Another good win for the dangerously diva-licious champion.

Cade and Jindrack play tag! LOL! HBK is fed up. It is time to get serious. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end. This sad day in DX was bound to happen sooner or later. Lets see how, or if, they rebound.

Flair punks out Rhyno, who may now be a face to get crushed by Batista. Flair takes the Hardcore belt…? He is gonna throw it away or something I bet. Flair hates the Hardcore divisions, and always had. I have a feeling we no longer have a ‘Being the Booker’ Raw Hardcore Title.

Nice segment from Kennedy, and another decent win for him, against the Hurricane. Where will Kennedy go from here?

Absolutely loved the Carlito segment. He is here to stay as IC Champ IMO. Maybe to lose it a Mania, but I doubt it, he’ll likely retain.

Poor Edge; he just cant figure out that crowd. And he hasn’t figured out that he NEEEDS to go heel yet. The thing is, once he does, they’ll probably like him better. Nice win over Luther, bouncing back about a ¼ of the way from last night’s loss to Van Dam.

Fabulous developments regarding the five choices of who goes to SD!. I don’t really have any idea what you have planned, but I am eager to find out. A very interesting scenario here for sure. HARDCORE TITLE IN THE TRASH!!! I love it! Get it out of here!

Nice retain for the new tag champs, and great comment from Coach about DX bringing personality to the belts.

Fantastic little meeting between Edge and HBK. It wont be for the belt, but it is gonna be HBK vs Edge at Mania, calling it now. Or maybe even a triple threat, with Cena, for the belt…? Interesting!

Very cool feud between Rey and Christian started, with both men wanting to be Champion. These men have had their battles in my thread as well, including being the last two in the TT battle Royal. I could honestly see Christian as a heel getting the belt from Cena at some point, and dropping it to Rey. That would rule.

Excellent main event, with fabulous action! I love that the Undertaker won!! I am not the biggest Taker fan, though I do like him. What is great about it is that you have created such an intriguing match! I mean the Deadman vs Cena…? Who’d of called that? Face vs Face!! I am sure Cena will win, or it’ll be a botched finish, with Taker coming back for the belt at maybe Wrestlemania…? Nonetheless, as you always do best, you have thrown us a curveball that we anxiously await catching. And great to see HBK as the last one w/Taker too.

Cena acknowledges the Deadman, and he aint scared. Should be great, and you have immediately turned some of my ill feelings about his title win around. Great Raw Wolfy. Looking forward to Smackdown! I feel like it has been all Raw lately! I am ready to see what the blue team has in store for us!

PMing my votes now!

Thanks to all the reviews for Raw. Personally, I thought it was the weakest Raw I've put out in a while, but next weeks will be perhaps one of the better ones.

VOTING HAS OPENED TO CHOOSE THE RAW SUPERSTAR TO REPRESENT THE BRAND AT SMACKDOWNS 'FULLY LOADED' EVENT ON DECEMBER 18TH:

BATISTA - CHRISTIAN - RANDY ORTON - ROB VAN DAM - SHAWN MICHAELS

!!!VOTING IS OPEN!!!

Please cast votes via PM, and preferably in an order of 1,2,3,4,5. With Number 1 being your first choice, and Number 5 being your last choice.

*Note* The voting is working as follows - If you vote Batista as your #1 Pick, it will count as 5 Votes, If you vote Christian as #2 it counts as 4 votes, Orton in #3 would be 3 votes, HBK #2 is 2 votes, and RVD #5 would equal one vote.

Right now, voting is extremely tight between three of the men, whilst the other two are lagging behind by quite a margin. I'll not disclose who though for obvious reasons.

-------------------

Smackdown; December 8th; Baltimore:

Matt Hardy wins a 6 Pack Challenge Match, against Matt Morgan, Kanyon, Chris Benoit, Hardcore Holly and Billy Kidman to earn a spot in the 6 Man Gauntlet at Fully Loaded in 10 days time. Hardy pins Morgan with the Twist of Fate, after Gene Snitsky got involved, forcing Benoit out of the ring to brawl with the big man.

In an interview with Paul London, he says tonight he’ll shut Maven up, after the former tough enough winner ran his mouth last week.

Kurt Angle comes to the ring, holding his contract for a match with Bret Hart, calling the GM out to talk about it. Hart enters the arena, and storms to the ring. He doesn’t speak a word, instead, asking for the contract. Angle hands it over, with Bret taking a quick look. Angle smiles, thinking he has sealed the deal, but Bret looks up at Angle, then pulls the paper from the board, and rips the contract in half, before storming out of the ring again.
Angle looks at the ripped pieces of paper, before shouting up the ramp at Hart that he has a lot more copies where that came from.

Paul London faces Maven. London uses his speed and agility to get into the drivers seat, and goes up top for a 450 Splash, only for Maven to roll out of the way. He then rolls up London, grabbing the tights, getting the three count for a victory.
Immediately after the match, Maven runs away, up the ramp, jubilant in victory, despite having to cheat.

Backstage, The Cabinet chat about their matches at Fully Loaded, with JBL claiming Kurt Angle is too busy chasing dream matches to worry him, before he brings Kurt a grim nightmare, but his three team mates are concerned about the double title, tables match they are competing in.

JBL & The Basham Brothers defeat The Dudley Clan in a Six Man Tag Match, thanks to interference from Jamie Noble, allowing Doug to pin Spike. The Cabinet start a 4 on 3 attack, before Kurt Angle makes the save, running off The Cabinet.

Bill Goldberg comes to the ring, and talks about the Gauntlet Match at Fully Loaded, mentioning the Raw superstars that could be involved. He then talks about how much he’d love to run into Steve Austin, and end his career once and for all, before winning the match, and taking a title shot at The Royal Rumble.
This brings out Austin, who comes to confront Goldberg. However, as Austin goes to each turnbuckle, Goldberg attacks him!! Austin mounts a comeback, but Goldberg again takes over with a low blow, quickly following up with a Jackhammer. He thinks about causing more damage, but tells Austin he’ll save it for Fully Loaded.

Chris Harris defeats Simon Dean, getting revenge for last weeks tag match in England, where Dean and Masters cheated to a victory over AMW. After the match, Chris Masters attacks Harris, applying the Masterlock for a brief period, before James Storm runs to the ring with a chair, running off The System Success.

Backstage, in an interview with Chris Benoit, The Rabid Wolverine reveals he has just been given a match with Snitsky at Fully Loaded, to end their recent feud.

A video plays which reveals Mr. McMahon will be at Fully Loaded to make a major announcement, concerning the 2006 Royal Rumble.

Backstage, a number of stars speculate what McMahons announcement could be.

In the main event, Chris Jericho and The Rock defeat Triple H and Goldberg. Brock Lesnar sits on commentary, scouting The Rock for Fully Loaded. Eventually, Brock gets involved, but is told to get to the back by the referee. Whilst this happens, Steve Austin comes through the crowd, and nails Goldberg from behind with a Steel Chair, with the official not seeing it. The Rock fights with HHH to the outside, whilst Jericho hit’s a Lionsault on Goldberg, getting the three count!!!

Austin celebrates with a beer, standing tall on the ramp, toasting Goldbergs loss, as Bill slightly recovers in the ring, knowing he’s been screwed, as the show goes off the air.

---------------------------------

WWE.COM has announced that this Monday Night on Raw, that the five superstars in line to go to 'Fully Loaded' this Sunday will all be given a thirty second period of time to state their reasons as to why they should be voted in for the event this coming Sunday. No doubt, fireworks will explode when Batista, Christian, Rob Van Dam, Randy Orton and Shawn Michaels are in the ring together, all vying for a spot at Fully Loaded.

Also this week on Raw, it appears that the General Manager, Ric Flair is keen on out doing the Smackdown PPV, by putting together a huge line up for this weeks show already.

Flair has signed an Armageddon Rematch, pitting Rey Mysterio against Carlito, in a rematch for the Intercontinental Title. Will it be a short reign for Carlito?? Or will He make it two for two against the Human Highlight Reel??

And, after being stripped of the Hardcore Title this past week on Raw, Rhyno has demanded a match this week on Raw, with Flair granting it, giving The Man Beast a match against none other, than The Animal, Flairs personal friend, Batista. What will happen when these two goliaths collide in the ring??

Plus, the main event pits the Foursome of DX, against a team that could potentially implode. John Cena, The World Champion, will team up with Randy Orton, and strangely Edge and Rob Van Dam too.
Edge has had his problems in the past with Cena and Orton, as well as his recent history with RVD. Not only this, but right now, Edge appears to be on the verge of snapping, with his behaviour becoming extremely erratic. However, after a brief clash with Shawn Michaels this past week, Edge is sure to want a piece of HBK.

Not only Edge, but RVD will be desperate to get his hands on Michaels too, after HBK sneakily eliminated Mr. Monday Night from the Battle Royal this past week on Raw.
John Cena and Randy Orton also have previous history with all four members of DX, and their tag partners, as well as each other. Will the team of egos facing DX co-exist long enough to get the job done??

I'll have more news and notes up on Monday most likely, along with a Preview for Raw, although basically whats above is a Raw preview, so maybe not.

Also, after Raw, I'll allow people to cast a second batch of votes, if they wish, should they be swayed by any reasons given by any of the men involved.

It didn’t seem that weak although other than the main event all the matches were very obvious who would take the win

Great to see Hardy win the gauntlet match and get a shot at the number 1 contendership. Don’t expect him to win the match or come close to doing so, but it is a ppv match and a push for him which I love

Angle/Hart has to happen, and Hart is the one who at the moment looks to be on the verge of turning heel, even though I am sure Angle will beat him into a match

Maven cheats to beat London which means we will have a rematch at the ppv where London gets his win back

Good win for the Cabinet which gives them some momentum before Angle makes the save

Goldberg/Austin is a match that has to happen at some point, but I really don’t know when it will take place, as the Christian/Austin meetings have to be leading to a match. Maybe Austin/Goldberg at RR?

Good win for Harris in what was a filler style match for the show

Benoit/Snitsky is official then. I guess a benoit win is the lock of the card for Fully Loaded

Interesting to see what the announcement will be, and I guess it will be something about the way the numbers are drawn or so. Maybe a fan vote or something?

Good win for Jericho and the Rock with an assist from Austin. Nice way to build up to both the big matches for the ppv. Will be interesting to see who prevails in both the matches

Good preview for Raw, and the main event could be a classic, as literally anything could happen in that match

a good SD! recap there Wolfy, with Hardy in the gauntlet and the Austin/Goldberg fued continuing. A London/Maven match seems elementary for the PPV and a Benoit match as FD said to lock the card against the beast Gene Snitsky. A good main event, with Austin screwing Goldberg to end the night was good.

Velocity & HEAT results did their job, as did the news. The McMahon announcement for the Rumble will be huge.

RAW preview looks good, with the Hardcore & IC titles on the line. Looking forward to it.

Wolfy, the Smackdown recap looked decent. And the news and premature Raw preview look great as well. I do actually have a couple of negative things to say this time though:

A. Benoit loses against Kurt, and has been downhill ever since. And now, he loses a gaunlet match he should have won, and now Benoit vs Snitsky...? He is your favorite...? Maybe an undercard precursor to Benoit winning the Rumble...? Coming off a feud with Snitsky definetely wouldn't have Benoit as a favorite, so maybe your doing it for the value of surprise. You obviously need not answer that, so as not to spoil anything. I am just being bitchy.

B. Why the hell are you shafting Smackdown so? I know Raw has all the younsters, and maybe the better overall storylines etc. But, Smackdown is a show full of established talent, and fresh talent, that it could be such a great show! I mean, if you are gonna have the old codgers on the roster, use them!! And use the show!! I mean Raw gets full shows, and a full PPV. Smackdown gets recaps, and a summarized PPV...? WHY!!! You should have either summarized them both, or wrote them both in full, IMO. SD just has so much potential to be hugely entertaining, but it seems you rate it second. Why?

As you know, I meant no offense. I would just like to see Smackdown used as well as Raw.

I'll be honest because I'm not afraid to admit that lately the things on Smackdown have kinda sucked, and I'll give answers as best as I can, without giving away too much. The answers I give might not be great ones either, but it is the truth.

A. The feud with Snitsky is just to fill in some time, and get another match for the card at Fully Loaded. (I know you wont know this next bit, as I'm also sure most havent realized) But, I felt Benoit, after having 0 singles wins on PPV all year needed one to round the year off, as its not part of my intention for him to win the Gauntlet. And again, I wanted another match on the card with a 'name' even if it is against Snitsky.

B. (Again, this information is something you wouldnt know, and I wouldnt expect you to either) Between Wrestle Mania and The build up to Summer Slam, I wrote Raw in recapped form, and Smackdown in full. Now, for this short period of time, I've switched it around, as the plans I have for Raw right now imo are the main priorities, compared to April-July (thread time), when it was the opposite. Smackdown, since Survivor Series has really being going through the motions, to fill in time up to Royal Rumble, with very few feuds progressing. (Basically Hart vs Angle, and Austin vs Goldberg being the only two long term, that have had anything of substance)
The main reasons for me not writing both shows in full are that I dont like getting too far behind 'real time' and preferably I would rather be ahead, plus the fact that I just dont have enough time to write the two shows.

Following Fully Loaded however, expect to see a resurgence on the Smackdown brand, with the build up to the Royal Rumble, and for that course of time I'll likely be doing Raw in full one week, Smackdown in recap form, then Raw in recap form the next week and Smackdown in full.

Believe it or not, I was honest to God going to post in a 'News and Rumours' post soon that the Smackdown ratings had been slowly dwindling in recent weeks.

Thank you though for asking the questions NB16x, I know the answers might not be great explanations, but you were honest enough to give me your questions, so its only fair I dont bull shit the answers.

Default Re: Being the booker

The show starts off with the new World-Heavyweight Champion coming down which is not surprising. Flair interrupts and Cena wants a challenge and he got it in Rhyno for the WHC right now!

Opening matchup was good and it helps build up the credibility of the champion in defending it right after he won it. Looking forward to seeing who he faces at the Royal Rumble

A rather confident Edge tonight and his heel turn is going to be coming very soon I can tell. I'm ready to see what he has in store for him and if he can win the Royal Rumble

Little triple threat match between the women and Trish retains the title which should help her reign. I think as Coach said we could be seeing a new champion crowned soon

D-X promo was intresting and perhaps tension is brewing among the group and maybe a break up soon? Hopefully after WM 22 so we could still have some more classic promos!

WHOA! That's big right there as Flair strips Rhyno's title off of him for not getting the job done! Wonder what is going to come now of the Hardcore Championship?

Ken Kennedy gets a nice win tonight over Hurricane and that should help him in the future. Kennedy could have a long run in the Royal Rumble and I can't wait to see that!

The new Intercontinental Champion is rather confident and hopefully he could be having a long run in the end. I wouldn't mind seeing a Mysterio/Carlito rematch down the line though

Good win for Edge tonight and it does help him towards the Royal Rumble. I can't wait to see what role he is going to play come the Royal Rumble time and how long he lasts

Flair has informed us about this Raw superstar at Fully Loaded and I am liking this idea! I can't wait to see who the five men are so we can vote on them for the Gauntlet

Nice title defense for TWGTT and they picked up a win over Suzuki and Dupree. Perhaps the Brotherhood could become the next challengers for the tag titles?

Edge and HBK got at each other! Some strong comments from each other and wonder where this leads to? Maybe some type of match down the line between both men

Great promo with Christian stepping it up once more and perhaps a match coming at the Royal Rumble for these two men. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing these two hook up!

Nice main event tonight and surprised to see The Undertaker get the win and go onto Royal Rumble. Cena vs 'Taker is going to be something different and I am ready for it!

I cannot wait for the Angle and Hart match. The build up is great already. Angle and JBL for the USA title match is going to go awry in some way.

London looks like a wrestling god at Survivor Series and then loses to Maven?? NO!

I am thinking along the lines of Stone Cold and Goldberg at Mania.

I hate you!! How can you debase Benoit so much??? A match against Snitsky!!! You are out of your mind!!!! Chris Benoit, the greatest wrestler in the WWE against a generic piece of Pennsylvania hillbilly trash. Just read Breakthewall's location, unkempt gotees are in style, punting babies is the national pasttime, and the more acne you have, the higher you are on the social ladder. Benoit better make him tap quicker than Orlando Jordan.

I like the Fully Loaded card, but I do not like the name. I will give you a semi - review as you will give me a semi - PPV. Takes stress of for you, so it is a good thing.

Raw is going to be explosive!! You said it is one of your better Raws, and I will believe it.

EDIT: You answered NB's questions well. Forget the Benoit part.
