TNA Women's Knockout Championship Match:
Women's Knockout Champion Gail Kim Vs. Mickie James
Gail is interviewed by the lovely Christy Hemme, Gail isn’t happy with her introduction so she graces a couple more compliments upon herself.
We cut to Gail’s entrance into the ring before getting a video package of what happened at Bound For Glory. After the video package we cut to Mickie James how is making her way to the ring. The bell rings and Gail is already laughing at her opposition. The two lock up with a succession of headlocks and headscizzors that end with James ramming Gail’s arm into the mat twice. The two go back and forth again for a bit, but the always cunning Gail manages to slam James to the mat and come at her with a slick dropkick. Gail bestows a kiss upon the crowd but gets a german suplex from Mickie in return. As Gail recuperates on the outside James calls for some crowd adoration and receives some quite nicely. James chases Gail down on the outside, Mickie hits Gail with a giant swing into the rail, but Gail is to stealthy and instead yanks her into the rail instead. Mickie is met with a running clothesline back in the ring, but it only garners Gail a two count. A couple heel tactics later James finds herself crushed by Gail’s corner crossbody through the ropes and a nice front dropkick from the top rope. Again only two for Gail. Mickie’s small comeback is derailed by Gail’s beautiful Christo submission hold. Gail opts out, trying for a sunset flip but instead ending up in a variation of a deathlock by James who is loving the pain she is inflicting. Gail makes it to the rope and swiftly kicks Mickie right in the kisser. This leaves Mickie wide open for a beating, which Gail happily provides. Gail yells at the crowd “do you really think she’s gonna beat me?!” James has another comeback, again derailed by Gail. But as Gail runs the ropes James takes advantage by hitting a samoan drop. James gets the better of a grudge match, finishing it off with an elbow in the corner and a nasty curb stomp to Gail. James hits Gail with a flying front dropkick of her own, but only two. A dragonscrew and missed shoulder tackle later, Gail is hitting her Eat Defeat for the definitive 1...2...3!
Winner: Still TNA Women's Knockout Champion Gail Kim
