Re: World Wrestling Entertainment - System to Their Success

Figured I'd drop some comments on SmackDown!:

Good to see Orton in the title picture after his 'hiatus.' Maybe this could spawn a triple threat at RR, which would be pretty exciting. I'm liking how you are writing matches practically completely, as that is always a nice touch. Finlay should be a fun addition to SD! Can't wait for his arrival. Thought the Kennedy promo was pretty decent, cannot wait for his return to the SD! roster. Anyway in general, I thought this edition was a pretty good one Deadman.

Re: World Wrestling Entertainment - System to Their Success

WWE: SmackDown! - January 6th – Review
Kicking off the show with a promo would’ve been better because it’s your first show (SmackDown!). Anyway, it was still a good match to kick off the action. I’ll see where this situation goes from here.

Hmm, JBL looked really very strong in this promo. And finally I saw you writing ‘matches’ instead of ‘matchs’ so that’s good news, fellas! Lol, anyway, I won’t mind seeing JBL winning those two matches.

I’m glad to see JBL picking a victory over Matt Hardy, but I think that he should’ve cheated to pick up a win because it’d helped JBL to gain some more fuel to his heel character and it’d helped Matt to not look weak. Surprised that Matt stood up aftermath and said ‘it’s not over’ to JBL. It doesn’t make sense to me because it’s not a face thing to do. Hardy just lost cleanly, so why would he say ‘it’s not over’?

Fit Finlay will definintely be a good addition in the Royal Rumble match. Although I can’t see him winning, but it’ll be interesting to see how he works out in the Royal Rumble match.

Ya know, this promo would’ve been better if Tazz would’ve reacted heel. And, I would’ve loved to see Tazz joining with Kennedy, and then they both making fun of Cole. But it was still an enjoyable promo, and here we get another superstar from SmackDown! in the Royal Rumble match.

I know that this was a squash look-a-like match but I still liked it because the outcome was perfect, although very expected. Batista gained some momentum, and that’s nice.

Eh, this promo was just okay man. I didn’t like it, I just don’t know why. Maybe because I never liked this feud, it was just boring. However, I’d still see where the feud between Benoit and Booker T is heading.

Alright, Booker T causes the disqualification, and gives the victory to “The Rabid Wolverine” Chris Benoit. Even though Benoit won the match, Booker T got the last laugh. But, I still want to call Booker a stupid guy because he just lost a match. I know he lost via DQ, but a loss is a loss.

This seemed a good main-event to me, in which Booker T and Benoit’s feud progressed, and the same can be said for JBL and Hardy’s feud. Orton winning the Battle Royal and becoming the number one contender for the WHC is a shocker to me though.

Re: World Wrestling Entertainment - System to Their Success

WWE Monday Night Raw Preview for January 9th, 2006

Raw strides right into Houston Texas the home of WrestleMania Twenty Two. Headlining Monday Night Raw will be a number one contender's triple threat and it may possibly be a fatal four way. John Cena seemingly has been `screwed' out of his title rematch by Raw General Manager Eric Bischoff, thus instead he must compete in a triple threat match to earn a number one contender spot to face the new WWE Champion Kurt Angle at the Royal Rumble. The other participants in this contest are Mister Money in the Bank, Edge, and The Game, Triple H whom both have been granted their contender spots from past performances.

But a surprise 4th man that is truely shocking could be added if he wins his match earlier in the show, Shawn Michaels. HBK made it clear he wants a chance to rise back to the top and surprisingly Mr. McMahon has taken his comments back and is giving Michaels an opportunity ... if he can overcome his opponents early in the show in a gauntlet match. Its unknown who these opponents are, but its said to be a group of five men, and if Shawn Michaels wins he advances to the main event, but if HBK does make it through this ... will he have any in the tank compaired to the fresh other men to have a chance even?

Shelton Benjamin broke off his losing streak last week with a win over Danny Basham and won his way into the Royal Rumble, but now he has a new challenge in the form of a friend who returned last week, Charlie Haas. His former partner went into a losing effort against Edge, but now has a chance at redemption against his friend, Shelton Benjamin. Problem is Shelton's coming off his first victory in a month, so this will make for a friend vs. friend, partner vs. partner encounter that will be a fun match for sure, and interesting to see the turnout.

This week on Raw Carlito hosts the Cabana, and he is having the one and only, `Nature Boy' Ric Flair in for the Cabana. Carlito wants to talk with Flair, about his IC Championship reign to this point, his career, and his legacy. One has to know Carlito has something up his sleeve after he tapped out last week, but who knows, maybe he's changing? Probably not ... find this out and more all on Monday Night Raw!

Sorry for not being around a bit, expect Raw by Friday at the latest. I have taken a few personal days more so very busy, but I am going to be back to normal soon, and get back into working here just had a lot on my plate. Re: World Wrestling Entertainment - System to Their Success

WWE News, Notes & Rumors

The road to the Royal Rumble has come upon us and certainly the road to WrestleMania is coming up faster then ever. Many negotations have went sumber over the last week, and a few ideas have been `tossed up', and a few of them shot down. The big names the WWE was shooting for to appear at WrestleMania, the Royal Rumble, etc, most of them have been either ended negotations, or are in a fustrating period of the negotations. The WWE thinks they're roster can draw via their roster, therefor not giving up as much money for appearances, as they think they can do fine. But of course the Hogan, Austin, etc, want their cash ... but aren't getting as much therefor are likely not to appear as Hogan wasn't likely at all unless he got a huge sum of cash.

The Rock might still have a possibility of having a match at WrestleMania, but in all likelihood won't, because of movie scheduling. There has been one person that is confirmed to wrestle at WrestleMania, but its being tightly kept under wraps, and very few know the name that it is, but it could be a legend, returning superstar, or possibly a TNA jumper, but this is just from us confirmed as a rumor, yet very likely.

The next topic that has arisen as of late is the rating's are down, and last weeks shows that ended in `cliff hangers' did at least .3 higher then usual coming into 2006 with a bang. Raw scored a 4.5, an incredibly high rating compaired to the recent `4.0's and 4.1's' that they had been recieving, but thats incomparible to the Smackdown 2.0 rating it recieved on the UPN Network. But there is a power balance change within the UPN Network, soon to be an ownership transfer within the next year, this won't be a hot topic, but the network will be transforming within the next 6 to 8 months.

In other news, The American Airlines Arena has been sold out for a long time anticipating the Royal Rumble where it is truley going to be an epic show. The Royal Rumble this year is said to be one of the best, with all the stars around for this time, not many injures, and both brands looking in good shape, and its unsure who will win the Rumble this year at all. Many sources are saying many different things, and some wonder whats going to happen in this wild WrestleMania build to come.

On one hand WWE has Raw's Edge MITB briefcase holder, and he can challenge for the title whenever he pleases which he hasn't yet, but must at, or before WrestleMania 22. With Raw having a new champion just over a few weeks ago, we might have a transitional champion, or no Edge title reign ... there is also a route that could be taken for him to jump to Smackdown, but that is unlikely. We have John Cena next who probably has a rematch clause likely, though that could be taken away for some reason, that will set up a match at the Royal Rumble more then likely to `finish off' the Angle/Cena feud.

On Smackdown Orton, `Taker, and Batista are in the title situation at the moment with possibly a triple threat at the Rumble, but very likely we'll see Orton vs. Batista at the moment as a `Taker/Batista encounter at all is trying to be saved for a future occasion, but probably won't be happening this year at WrestleMania. Now a big question up in the air is ... who will win the Royal Rumble? It could be any of multiple superstars at this point, from either brand.

The Undertaker possibly could win the Royal Rumble, maybe stay on SD, but as said its unlikely he'll face Batista this year, so he could jump to Raw to face Kurt Angle for the first time ever, which would be new since `Taker has been on Smackdown since the draft process has begun. Different winner scenario's are possibly Chris Benoit who is rising up a bit on Smackdown, a surprise entrant from either brand, Triple H maybe even from Raw, or maybe even Edge is a possibily because they might want to do a `Champion vs. Champion' main event, and if he uses MITB to win the title at, or after RR, and has a title shot at the other brand's title, then we could very well have a champion vs. champion, Edge vs. Batista/Orton/Undertaker (only if he gets into the title match at the Rumble).

And in a final news tidbit, Ric Flair, Chris Benoit, Matt Hardy, JBL, Gregory Helms, and Matt Striker all have recieved spots in the Royal Rumble for their performances over the last few months (more or less just to not have to do as many qualifiers) and are now officially apart of the Royal Rumble match.

Raw hasn't been touched in a day or so been busy, expect it still on Thursday/Friday I will be getting to work now, Enjoy the news guys.

6 Man Tag: Great way to open the show, this was an exciting match, I'm glad The Mexicools got the win.

JBL Promo: This was a good interview here with JBL, leading into the next match.

JBL vs. Matt Hardy: Good match, I was rooting for Matt Hardy. But still a good match and a nice win for JBL.

Finlay Video: Nice video here with Finlay, I'm looking foward to his eventual, appearance.

Kennedy-Announcers: This was great, I really enjoyed Kennedy's interaction with Michael Cole & Tazz. Great stuff.

Batista vs. Orlando: Solid match, with Batista getting the win.

Booker T promo: This was a good interview here, with Booker T. Leading into his match with Benoit.

Booker vs. Benoit: Good Match, I always enjoyed it, when Chris Benoit wrestled Booker T. Too bad in ended with a disqualification, but still a good match.

Battle Royal: Great way to end the show, This was a good main event, Nice win for Randy Orton, It was great having Randy and the Undertaker as the last two. I'm looking foward to the eventual match, between Batista and Randy Orton.

Great show, I give it 8 out of 10.

And in a last tid bit of news, CM Punk has been seen to be an interesting talent that the WWE might be venturing to grab from Ring of Honor, the man is multi talented with good charisma, great wrestling skills, and a good move set. This would be a great accusition, but if this is done he'd first go to OVW, and he'd appear probably in the Summer at the fastest rate he could come in at.
Just so you know, by 2006, CM Punk was already signed by WWE. He signed sometime in June 2005, won the RoH Belt at DBD IV, and held onto it until mid-August, then reported to OVW in September. He's already a signed WWE talent and working in OVW. So you can't be interested in signing him, if you already have.
