Re: Legend Presents: WWE 2006 - Stop Your Grinnin' And Drop Your Linen
Don’t really want to make too big a deal out of this; I just really want to get back to booking. I would've come back sooner, but Wolfy and Szumi have just been so good I didn't see the point I would like to say thank you to everyone in these parts for their kind words in recent months.
***
With a mere six days to go before Raw's first PPV extravaganza of the year, Backlash, we roll into St. Louis, Missouri with a cyclone of questions swirling through the air, and a scorching send off show on the horizon thanks to General Manager Eric Bischoff, who has been a man possessed in recent weeks.
Last week Mr. Bischoff shocked the world with the stipulation he added to the eagerly anticipated WWE Championship match between champion Kurt Angle and his dogged challenger John Cena. To say that Bischoff is not a fan of either man would be an understatement. To put it simply, he who walks out of Lexington, Kentucky the loser on Sunday night with not only be staring at the immediate present in the form of a defeat, but also at his future ... a future without any more WWE Championship matches so long as Eric Bischoff calls the shots. If you thought this match couldn't get any more intense, our General Manager thought otherwise. The stakes, gentlemen, have been well and truly raised.
One match. One giant. One Fifteen-Foot high Steel Cage. One chance to save Monday Night Raw from the oppressive tyranny that has been the path of destruction left by The Big Show, now under the guidance of the corpulent Paul Bearer. Rob Van Dam is paying the price for his actions against GM Eric Bischoff, but will he pay the ultimate one come Backlash? Will he pay with not only his blood ... but his very livelihood?
Friends. Partner. World Tag Team Champions. Opponents? That's right, thanks to the machinations of Eric Bischoff's enigmatic associate Armando Alejandro Estrada, the two members of the World's Greatest Tag Team, Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas, will face one another at Backlash for Benjamin's Intercontinental Championship. Together with their Five-On-Two Handicap title defence against The Spirit Squad on Sunday, just how will the two friends be able to overcome the odds ... and each other?
In an effort to squash his opponent before this Sunday, Mr. Money in the Bank himself Carlito has dispatched his most trusted lieutenant, 'The Masterpiece' Chris Masters, to take out young Gregory Helms this Monday night. Will Masters succeed, or will Helms take one step closer to the briefcase he felt was stolen from him on April 2nd?
All that and more on Monday Night Raw, 9/8CT on USA.

Great to see you back man. I didn't really follow your stuff until after Wrestlemania, but with you now back full time, I'm gonna try and keep up with this thread.
Own this shit tbh.

Re: Legend Presents: WWE 2006 - Stop Your Grinnin' And Drop Your Linen
Thank God. I've been reading this thread a fair bit lately, and it's provided great inspiration for me. I noticed it was open and I was pretty sure it was closed before, so I thought you were coming back.
Previews short but sweet. Definitely looks like you've got this set to set some absolutely huge hype for Backlash, and I look forward to seeing it. Only one match mentioned, so it'll be interesting to see what else we get.
I'll definitely get you a review.

Yay, you're back. Then again, I had a feeling you'd come back. Hope you rock this boat as you once did, and you return to form. RAW looks good; Angle/Cena is the sex. Don't leave ever again.

Re: Legend Presents: WWE 2006 - Stop Your Grinnin' And Drop Your Linen
I know I only asked about this a few times ... but THANK GOD you're back! It's been a long time coming and I've been dying to know what's going to happen at Backlash. Preview looks pretty solid, with only one match announced, which makes me think you will have a big main event signed early in the show. No long breaks between shows, plz.

Awesome awesome awesome. My god its good to see you back in this section. I've never reviewed this BTB before, but I've read it almost religiously. This, along with DDMac's and Wolf Beasts BTB's is imo the pinnacle of what a modern day WWE BTB can and should be. I'm going to be reading man.

Re: Legend Presents: WWE 2006 - Stop Your Grinnin' And Drop Your Linen
Welcome back, Legend. You know I have wanted you back for a while as every time we have chatted I have made sure to bring this thread up. You know that I love pretty much everything that is going on, and you know the few little things that are not as epic as the rest, imo. Just make sure you stick around and make the thread own again, and everything will be fine.
Good luck.
Oh yeah, preview looks nice.

Oh HELL YEAH! I knew my constant questioning would pay off. Great to see the thread back. Backlash looks to be an interesting card. Now start owning with those Paul Bearer promos and you'll be fine. Reney will cream when he sees this tbh.

Great news! It's long overdue and i was doubting if you would ever return, but it's brilliant to have one of the best bookers the section has ever had come back. Welcome back.
