Default Re: Legend Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment

Kicking off with RVD. No Triple H tonight means we get to keep the potential powder keg from exploding, and allows the feud to have a little more breathing space, before the two collide and everything erupts. Long promo from Van Dam, in ultra serious mode, before getting cut off ... by Triple H?? Great heel promo from The Game, and HHH sets up SNME match with Big Show, which is classic tactics from a heel, and adds another marquee match for the returning event. Show eventually gets the better of Van Dam, leaving him a little worse for wear, setting the stage for SNME.

Gregory Helms is on his way to WM, but just what is Carlitos gameplan, helping Helms?? Possibly set to help Helms take the I.C Title at SNME and possibly make the MITB match a double ladder match with MITB & IC Title on the line?? Who knows.

Personally, I thought the Bearer interview could've ended perfectly with the 'then you cant live at all' bit, but I think you nailed the weirdo anyway . Not overly keen on a Big Show - Kane match at WM, but I guess they have to get on the show somewhere.

Haas looking to get the IC Title match a straight up match, with no SS or Haas interference = someone else interferes imo.

And I'd place my bets on Carlito. Hmm, CCC vs mystery opponent tonight. Masters doesnt seem too busy at WM, does he?? Possibly those two going head to head tonight??

Bashams win a filler match. Okey dokey.

Ric Flair is comin to SNME, and he aint coming alone. Really ecited for this confrontation at SNME, and hopefully the Horsemen show up at WM to back Flair up too, even if only for a Double A Spinebuster

Carlito and KANE??? Now, that, I wasnt predicting. Masters helps CCC qualify, but it takes a heck of an effort to put Kane down for three. Looks like he'll get the last word ... but here comes Big Show for the second time tonight. Shocking conclusion to this brawl, with Show not only Chokeslamming Kane from the ring to the floor, but then from the stage through the electrical equipment. You'd expect Kane to be gone for quite a while, but WM isnt that far away, so probably not.

WGTT accept the challenge from Spirit Squad, and it's nice to see Benjamin & Haas back together. Spirit Squad get the better of WGTT, but it's an unlikely assist from Helms, with SS scarpering off. Loved the bit at the end with Helms putting on his shades, and telling his SNME opponent that he is welcome. Lovely stuff .

Looks like we're going down the route of psycho Mickie. Hard to see where they'll feature on a loaded WM card, but I'm sure we'll get some sort of womens match on the show.

Great intense promo from the Olympian, Kurt Angle. Great explanation of his and Michaels actions / affiliation last week on SD, making sure he remains a face. Really excited to see how the match at SNME goes down, with plenty of possible scenarios.

Nice main event, to test the alliance between HBK and Angle, against the tag champions of SD, as a good lead in to Saturday. Looks like it'll be business as usual and the main eventers win ... but it's not to be. Edge and Batista with a huge role in the match, adding extra spice to their tag match at SNME, costing the champion and challenger the match, and giving tag champions ANOTHER priceless victory. I've loved the use of the tag champions thus far from your shows, and getting main event matches AND WINS, even if it is due to interference, is still big news.

Another solid show, Legend. I continue to enjoy

Convincing RVD promo, in my book. Kind of long-winded and drawn-out, though. Triple H’s response was a great comeback for the game. Decent set-up for the Show/Van Dam feud. The fight was pretty long in itself. In my estimation, I don't think Van Dam should've got slammed through the announce table. Imo, it's way too early in the show for s*** like that to be happening.

Excellent way to spice up the MITB feud. I'm gonna mark that Carlito and Helms meet sometime between SNME and the coming weeks to 'Mania. Sounds exciting.

What the hell? Big Show is getting way too much TV time! Especially this early in the show. Still, Bearer was in character for the most part, so that was a good sign. Kane v. Big Show at 'Mania I assume.

"YCMA wannabes!" Ha! That was original! For some reason, even though I despise some of the people in it, I'm loving how you're building MITB. Hoping to see Carlito interfere in Shelton/Helms. "No such language as Puerto Rican!" Ha! I see someone's been reading his language arts books. Carlito's going to MITB. Hands down. You freakin' telegraphed it.

Squash for the Bashams: Meh. Not Bad.

Very nice Flair video. So, the Four Horsemen reunite. That actually sounds exciting. Can't wait for that one. Should be a war to remember.

Ha! Kane! That s*** even caught me off guard. Awesome ending with Carlito’s distraction leading to Kane’s chair shot. That was a textbook heel finish. Again, you telegraphed Carlito making it to MITB, so no big stunner there. The post-match brawl was a nice touch. And then you ruin it all with Big Show’s third appearance of the night! Gimme a freakin’ break, man! That’s too much TV time for one guy! And then, to make that s*** even worse, you have Chavito come out and beat up Masters and Carlito. Well, actually, I can understand that, considering that he wanted payback. However, things get even worse when you have Big Show chokeslam Kane off the stage! Don’t you think that’s a little extreme? Oh… right… extreme. Never mind then. In any case, I mark for Kane to return between now and Wrestlemania and own the Big Show like a dog.

The squad in suits is very unlikely. Or, at least in a pro wrestling ring. A very short cheer, man. A little longer would’ve been okay. Vintage Spirit Squad, though. Also, I’m glad to see you explained the suits. WGTT reunite, huh. Somehow, I should be more excited… but I’m not. Maybe because the Spirit Squad and the WGTT are worthless jobbers. I don’t know. Maybe it’s just me. In any case, the brawl was very nice… and long. What’s with you and these long, dragged-out brawls, man? Anyway, this one was pretty good. Helms playing the cavalry was unexpected, but a great way for him to play mind tricks on Shelton.

Typical women’s match. Very short, not too lengthy. Good job. The aftermath was also realistically played out. Mickie James making the save was a nice choice. This works well into her psycho-path character.

Another instense, in the zone Kurt Angle interview. Nice way to sell SNME, man.

Great main event, man. I loved how you set-up for Edge and Batista’s interference. MNM getting the win was another huge bonus. I loved it, man. I look forward to an Angle/Michaels retaliation on the next Smackdown!

Overall: 88/100 = B+

Some of the superstars got way too much tv time, like Big Show and Helms. However, it was a nice build-up to Saturday Night’s Main Event, anyways. Good luck in the near future, my friend.

Bradley's (late) RAW Review

Coach sounds good with his pathetic pleas but this is interesting to see RVD open the show. You did a great job building up the suspense by adding pauses in and, in truth, it makes me thankful you are writing promos this week for the World Cup because you can portray emotion so damn well, the burying line was a little much for me but it all adds to the E-C-Dub feel. It would have made more of an impact if HHH actually turned up but no contact was made but that makes me anticipate the 'Mania match even more but a bullshit reason for not being there. Marketing 'Mania during a RAW show? Lol. Awesome to see 'Show come out, Paul Bearer doesn't seem to fit in with Show's character at all but Big Show OWNED here which was awesome but Van Dam didn't look weak but this could easily have happened nearer the end of the show because it was a bit OTT for the beginning of the show.

OMG Show/RVD at SNME= ratings. I would have liked the GM to actually announce it though because it seems a little low-key now. Pretty fantastic match now and it was set at a good pace and I was surprised to see Chavo getting so near the win but it was a real shock to see Carlito come out, anything to build up MITB eh? Nice generic finish but it was still a good finish .

Aahhh take a breath Paul. A very loud and expressive promo, using Paul's mannerisms to your advantage was a great idea and it really helped the promo. Surely Kane/Show for 'Mania?

A good promo from Helms, hyping up the match for SNME but he made no mention of Carlito, something you said he looked confused about, so that baffled me. LOL at Masters' ignorance but that makes me think Carlito will definitely win now in his qualifier and I don't like predictable results.

Good buildup for the Bashams.

Damn I hope the 4 horsemen own but JBL will probably get the cheap beat down to build him up.

A very eventful third match with a lot of action which is always good but I didn't like Carlito getting dominated like he did as it makes him look excessively cowardly which is not needed for someone who could win the MITB match but I loved the ending, perfect in my opinion with Kane looking strong by kicking out of Carlito's finisher but taking a combined effort to bring the monster down. That's what you call an impact, bloody hell.

Coach's promo was a little weird, good sucking up to Eric though but it was a little like a generic bad mouthing Smackdown and Batista promo but it did get interesting towards the Spirit Squad section. LOL at them wearing suits and bigging up themselves. Charlie Haas sounded awesome here and when Benjamin came out you could really sense the chemistry here but the attack was perfectly planned so the Squad didn't look like complete jobbers and it pushed Helms even further but hasn't been involved too much tonight?

Decent squash but I loved the organised chaos that followed especially with yourself showing the eccentricity of Mickie James, I would have liked to seen this go longer though.

Interesting to see Angle as a face but all of his trademarks are there and you have the hallmarks of a great promo writer with the intensity oozing out of that specific promo, surely HBK will screw Angle?

MNM needed at least an interview so they can get some hype for the main event. A very good main event and I loved pretty much every bit of this match and there were a lot of great moves and wrestling combinations but it all ended too quickly for my liking, the first 3 quarters were immense but it seemed rather rushed and I would have liked to have seen Edge make more of an impact but it all adds to THE match at Saturday Night's Main Event so it's all good.

Not much else to say. Not one to suck up but you seem to be the king of the weekly shows from what I am seeing, up there with KOP and Nige in my opinion. 9/10

Ok as promised the Raw review....

Kicking off things with RVD is cool with me. One thing that really bothers me in your promos in the constant stuff that gets thrown in during the speech like "licks his lips" "bites his lip" etc. It's distracting to me at least. Overall it was an okay promo to be honest. It didn't really "stand out" as much of your others in the past but I definently think it could have been better.

Ok I'm just going to throw the three things involving Helms and Carlito in here. First off really no shock to see Helms win but why Carlito helped him is beyond me? Moving onto the interview. Good little hype interview there from Helms and when he gets the mic people need to listen lmao! Finally the Carlito/Masters promo was surprisingly decent. I remember there pairing back in '06 because of just how random it was. Didn't make much sense to me imo but still at least you're utilizing the team they had.

I haven't seen much from Bearer BUT overall it seems like a promo that he would most likely cut seeing as it was dark and creepy, etc. Overall I do like how it's taking a twist instead of just being a Monsters match to now becoming a personal feud. Cool to see that on your part.

Nothing really much to say about the Basham's debut. Glad to see they ran right through the Heart Throbs as that would have been a definite boring match had it gone any longer. The Flair promo video was ok. There really wasn't much to it of course but I think it got the job done.

Ok here is where everything really starts to break down. First off I think the referee would have heard the steel chair shot from Masters? I mean even if he was distracted he should have called for the bell or something? After that Chavo running down was ok but then Big Show comes out? He's already been in one brawl tonight so I'm not so sure how two would be?

Um...filler promo. Sad but true. Though the Spirit Squad in suits is funny it seemed to drag on for a while. Really I didn't get much out of it tbh other than the announcement of the match at WrestleMania. Another brawl tonight though seems unrealistic imo as you rarely get this many brawls on one show.

Another squash match too huh? Well I'm not so sure about this Mickie vs. Trish thing. It seems WAY too similar to the feud in real life with her showing emotions for Trish, etc. It seems kinda like a carbon copy of it to me.

Moving onto the main event I must ech Wolfy's sentiments in how the tag division is being pushed WELL right now. Two big wins for both pairs of champs in the past few weeks are great. MNM and as much as I hate them the Spirit Squad both look good now considering their big wins. Overall nothing really much happened at the end of the night to catch my attention. Though I know it's hard to think how these teams are going to co-exist but yet there hasn't really been much arguing, etc. even after they attacked HBK and Angle, etc.

Okay, just wanted to get that little tid-bit out of the way. Odds are SmackDown! will have to be racapped this week. Usually I am FIRMLY against recaps but i've been quite ill, plus I want to concentrate on SNME after this, and the Cup

Nice addition to SNME, good way to get all four men on the big card. That show is really shaping up well and SD in recap sounds ok. Gotta focus on the BTB Cup for sure, rit?

SNME card has shaped up excellently. Big matches on show, without giving away anything too big. Mostly anticipating the Horsemen - Cabinet meeting, and has the potential to send the hype machine for Flair-JBL into overdrive.

Now, where the heck is Smackdown?

Recaps are lame, yes I know But this will have to do I'm afraid. Illness imo

SmackDown; March 17th, 2006; Bossier City, Louisiana

Michael Cole and Tazz welcome us to the program and give us a quick preview of what to expect here tonight; Shane McMahon speaks on his father and Randy Orton; the sixth and final Money in the Bank Qualifier; And World Heavyweight Champion Batista joining forces with WrestleMania opponent Edge to take on Raw’s World Tag Team Champions, the Spirit Squad.

The crowd lets out some incredible heat as John Bradshaw Layfield, Jillian Hall, Orlando Jordan and The Basham Brothers make their way down to the ring, all smiles. The Cabinet are definitely in one of their better moods of late, and JBL grabs a mic to explain why. The former WWE Champion says that he and his cronies are looking forward to officially being crowned the greatest group in professional wrestling history when they embarrass those ‘has bins” The Four Horsemen.
JBL continues to do what he does best, completely running down each and every member of The Horsemen in turn, starting with Barry Wyndham. On cue, Doug Basham pulls out a blonde wig from his jacket and stuffs a pillow up his jumper to give him that ‘chubbier’ look. Bradshaw berated “Wyndham” with anger, calling him the ‘fake’ Horsemen and other things, before moving on to Tully Blanchard. Orlando Jordan does not really do a great job dressing up like Tully, but JBL still lays into him, calling him pathetic for staying in Ric Flair’s shadow all these years despite the potential he had; Layfield also mocks Blanchard’s time with the church. Danny Basham becomes Arn Anderson next and JBL gets nasty, calling him a ‘lackey’ to The Nature Boy, nothing more and nothing else. JBL then makes it personal with some harsh remarks about AA’s injury, prompting Basham to hobble around hysterically. With The Cabinet having the time of their lives, JBL addresses J.J. Dillon, who turns out to be Jillian Hall in a wig and glasses, much to the annoyance of Cole, Tazz and the audience, but the amusement of Bradshaw and his cronies …
Before JBL can continue, MATT HARDY comes out onto the stage to a great pop from the fans looking extremely pissed at what he is seeing before him. Bradshaw, annoyed by the interruption, tries to cut Hardy off before he can even get started by trashing him. Matt stands for none of that tonight though, as he calls JBL and his posse “disgusting” for their actions, and says that no matter how many times they beat Ric Flair down or slate The Four Horsemen, those guys are always going to be the pioneers of an era. This angers JBL, prompting another fiery outburst from him about how Hardy should show some respect for a former WWE Champion … to which Matt replies by reminding Layfield how he defeated him at No Way Out just one month ago. This drives JBL over the edge and he throws his hat and jacket down, yelling at Hardy to either get the hell out of the building and mind his own damn business, or grow a set and come down to the ring and face him like the man he claims to be …
This only draws a smile from Hardy, as he comments that he isn’t the only person on the SmackDown! roster that has been growing tired of the actions of The Cabinet … and he certainly isn’t the only person to have worshipped Ric Flair and The Four Horsemen for a very, very long time. JBL looks slightly nervous, and he soon has reason to, as JAMIE NOBLE, REY MYSTERIO, PAUL LONDON, BRIAN KENDRICK, and a host of other lower-level faces make their way out to join Matt Hardy on the stage. Hardy comments that he thinks he will come down to the ring after all, and the army of Horsemen fans all make their way down the ramp, as the stunned Cabinet look on. JBL feigns confidence at first, but as soon as the faces start to enter the ring … Bradshaw and his cronies immediately bail. The cheers wildly for the faces, as Hardy and the others work together to get a “HORSEMEN” chants going throughout the arena, leaving JBL looking utterly flabbergasted halfway up the ramp, as we fade into our first commercial.

{Commercial Break}

In the first match of the night, SmackDown’s resident young loudmouth Mr. Kennedy finally gets the opportunity he was waiting for as he competes in the final MONEY IN THE BACK QUALIFYING MATCH against a very game Super Crazy. Obviously there is a gulf in class between the two opponents, as Kennedy dominates for the majority, despite the speed and athleticism of the Mexicool. Eventually though, it is Kennedy who manages to drill Crazy with the Mic Check, before carrying him up to the top turnbuckle and finishing him off emphatically with the Green Bay Plunge for the easy three count @ 05:21.
Not one to let opportunity to toot his own horn go amiss, Kennedy immediately calls his mic down from the ceiling and declares himself not only the winner of this match, but also the winner of the MITB Ladder match at WrestleMania. Just before he can finish his catchphrase, Kennedy spots FINLAY standing at the top of the ramp, watching proceedings with a very interested look on his face. KK finishes up with a quick “KENNEDY”, though this time directed at the observant Irishman.

Backstage, Steve Romero stands by with the Number One Contender to the United States Championship at WrestleMania, Rey Mysterio. Romero asks Mysterio about what just went down earlier with JBL and Rey Rey says that guys like Bradshaw have to understand just how big an impact The Horsemen had on professional wrestling, even a luchador like him. Rey wishes Ric, Tully, Arn, Barry and J.J all luck for Saturday before moving on to his match tonight. He says that he has seen Kid Kash disrespect the Cruiserweight division and it makes him sick, so tonight, he will do both himself and his SNME partner Jamie Noble a favour. Mysterio says a few words in Spanish before storming off.

Cole and Tazz hype up Shane McMahon’s speech as the camera shows him on his way.

{Commercials}

Backstage, Raw’s own World Tag Team Champions the Spirit Squad are in attendance, still wearing the suits that Eric Bischoff bought for them, except Kenny and Johnny. Kenny is giving his troops a little pep talk about their big match tonight, saying that they have pinned Batista once and they can sure as hell do it again. MNM enter the scene, sporting their WWE Tag Team title as well, and the two teams share a few jibes at one another, with Nitro lazily mentioning how he and Mercury beat Angle and HBK on Raw, asking how the Spirit Squad can beat that. MNM give their Raw equivalent a smirk before leaving.

After this we head back to ringside, where Shane McMahon finally begins to make his way down to the ring. Shane ‘O enters without any music and he has his head bowed quite solemnly, barely concealing the bruise he is sporting on the side of his face. Despite the fine, black Armani suit he is wearing, Shane looks a mess, as he grabs a mic and begins to talk very poignantly about what happened last week.
He admits that as a young man, as a young son, it was his responsibility to protect his father and he failed to do so. He failed to do his duty as a son, and that has been eating him up inside all week …
Shane talks about his fathers condition, explaining the injuries that Vince sustained last week were quite severe and he will be off our screens for a good while. This draws a surprising amount of boos from the fans, as everyone wants to see Vinnie Mac in all his glory, and Shane thanks them for their support. He recounts the famous battles he has had with his father over the years, including their time in The Corporation, their feud over WCW and others, commenting that things like that proved just how tough is father could be. He mentions Vince’s wars with Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, The Undertaker, The Rock etc. and how he used to think his father was indestructible …
This brings Shane onto Randy Orton. The name of the “Legend Killer” draws some ungodly heat instantly, and Shane has to grit his teeth in order to say the name. He says that last week Orton made a mockery of the McMahon name and violated both Vince and Shane. He comments that as soon as that happened, Vince’s assistants suspended Orton and banned him from the building, but Shane wants that to stop right now. Shane says he wants Orton to be at Saturday Night’s Main Event tomorrow night. He even says that to make Randy feel safer, he. Shane, will NOT be attending that show, and will instead be watching from beside his father’s hospital bed. He says he wants Randy Orton to be at SNME with an answer. The crowd waits for a long time, as Shane is still clearly distraught and angry about the whole situation, but he eventually gets to the question that he wants the answer to … will Randy Orton face Shane McMahon one-on-one at WrestleMania on April 2nd?
Shane lets this sink in, gauging the VERY positive reaction of the crowd, before dropping his mic to the canvas and leaving the ring, once again to no music and with his head bowed, looking more serious than he has in a long time, as we fade to a commercial.

{Commercial Break}

Our second match of the night sees a fired up Rey Mysterio take on the Cruiserweight Champion of the world Kid Kash in a small preview of SNME’s tag team contest. As one would expect, these two put on a superb contest that moves at a lightning pace despite all of Kash’s heelish stalling. The references are constantly made to Mysterio’s legendary status in the Cruiserweight ranks and he certainly shows the Notorious K.I.D how he earned that by completely schooling the Champ for the majority of the contest. However, the finish comes when Rey gets distracted by BOOKER T up the ramp, causing him to miss Droppin’ Da’ Dime, allowing Kash to quickly roll him up from behind - and PUTS HIS FEET ON THE ROPES for the three count @ 10:41.
The crowd boos the arrogant Kid Kash relentlessly, but the Champ merely grabs his title belt and storms back up the ramp with a flustered expression on his face, leaving a furious Rey Mysterio standing in the ring contemplating what just happened.

Backstage, Kristal Marshall stands by with William Regal and Paul Burchill, The Bluebloods. Kristal asks the English duo how they feel about Mr. McMahon’s decision last week to make the WWE Tag Team Championship match at WrestleMania a Triple Threat bout, to which both men reply very angrily. Regal does the majority of the talking, complaining as one would expect that he and Burchill had those “miserable little toerags” The Hooligans well and truly beaten last week and only a ridiculous time limit stopped that from happening. After calming a bit though, Regal mentions that it does not matter who wins the title match at SNME anyway, because next week on SmackDown! The Bluebloods get their two-on-two title shot … they WILL be walking into WrestleMania as the WWE Tag Team Champions. Both men laugh and swagger away, as we head into another break.

{Commercial Break}

Inside of their locker room, JBL and his cronies look extremely angered by what happened earlier in the night. Orlando Jordan, Jillian Hall and The Basham Brothers all sit quietly, as JBL paces around the room in a rage. The former WWE Champion rants about the SmackDown! roster, calling them idiots for not realising his greatness, especially Matt Hardy. Bradshaw stops, a sick smirk on his face, before saying that if Hardy wants to be his idol Ric Flair so much, then he can BE The Nature Boy next on SmackDown! when JBL will face Matt Hardy next week in a No Disqualification match to give Flair a little preview of what to expect come WrestleMania. Jillian asks if this has been okayed by Shane McMahon, but JBL merely points to his wallet, saying that that makes it okay every time, before laughing.

Backstage, the World Heavyweight Champion Batista walks down a hallway. He stops at the door with a sign that reads ‘Edge’ and walks in. Edge and Lita immediately leap up from the couch, taking a break from their game of tonsil tennis, bracing for violence. Batista seems calm though and tells everyone to relax, he didn’t come here to fight … but to talk.
Oddly enough, Batista actually thanks Edge for having his back on Monday night when the two of them invaded Raw to get some revenge on WWE Champion Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels. Batista says that when you screw with The Animal, your always going to pay a price, and the Raw team found that out the hard way. He just wanted the makes sure that Edge understands that whilst they might have each other’s backs tomorrow night at SNME, tonight … Big Dave has unfinished business with the Spirit Squad. Batista says that they humiliated him last week when they pinned him, and on Raw they tried to get under his skin, so tonight, Edge can take it easy out there … because Batista is going to DESTROY the Spirit Squad.
Edge, arrogant fake smile and all, says that Batista has nothing to worry about at all because the Rated-R Superstar will always have his back. Edge comments that he has no problem with taking a backseat in their match tonight so that ‘Tista can blow off some steam on the cheerleaders, but should the World Champ run into trouble, Edge will be there to lend a helping hand. Edge and Lita are both full of smarm, charm and smiles, although Batista does seem incredibly wary, until Edge caps it off with that famous word … ‘partner’.

{Commercials}

Back from the break, we’re notified that, as promised by JBL, Layfield will face Matt Hardy in a No DQ match next week, sanctioned by the office of McMahon.

Up next, our third match of the night, a real tag team spectacle, sees Paul London and Brian Kendrick, The Hooligans, team with Juventud Guerrera and Psicosis, The Mexicools, to take on WWE Tag Team Champions MNM and The Dicks in eight-man tag team action ahead of the title match at SNME. About ten seconds is all the match gets before William Regal and Paul Burchill saunter down to joining Cole and Tazz on commentary, with Regal completely slating their future opponents. It is a very fast-paced, spirited affair between the four teams in the ring, with The Hooligans and MNM engaged in a fierce rivalry, whilst the lesser teams have something to prove indeed. Towards the mid-point of the contest, Johnny Nitro evades and clothesline attempt from Juvy and connects with a springboard enziguiri! Nitro goes up top, looking for the Corkscrew Moonsault, but Juvy kicks the ropes and Johnny crotches. It’s now Juventud’s turn to show off, as he climbs up and connects with a top rope hurricanrana to Nitro!! Despite being unable to go for the pin, Juvy manages to tag in Paul London, just as Nitro tags in Chad Dick. London cleans house, taking down both Dicks with leaping kicks, before Mercury attacks him from behind. Brian Kendrick quickly enters the fray though, as does Psicosis, and they knock both members of MNM to the outside, before flying onto them with double Planchas!! Back inside the ring, The Dicks attempt to double-team London, but Chad walks right into a superkick! London then hits the Dropsault on James, landing perfectly for a near fall. James attacks London, but gets low bridged to the outside, allowing London to take Chad down with a quick enziguiri that knocks him down, before he climbs to the top rope and flies off with the 450 Splash, getting the three count @ 08:34.
The Hooligans picks up a huge win heading into their title match tomorrow night in Detroit, but Nitro, Mercury and Melina do not seem impressed in the slightest, instead grabbing their titles and storming back up the ramp. Meanwhile, The Bluebloods watch on curiously.

{Commercial Break}

Backstage, Kid Kash warms down in his locker room, his Cruiserweight Championship belt close by at all times, but Booker T interrupts. The United States Champion, dressed to compete and accompanied by his wife Sharmell says that there is no need for any thanks for what Booker did earlier {i.e. distracting Mysterio} but just wants to know if Kash will be doing the same for him later?? Confident as ever, the Notorious K.I.D responds by claiming that he would have beaten Rey Rey anyway … but he WILL have Booker’s back out there tonight, and tomorrow night at SNME. The two heels shake hands, before Booker and Sharmell swagger off for their upcoming match.

Elsewhere, Josh Matthews stands by with Bobby Lashley and Paul Heyman, who are now officially client and agent respectively. Matthews asks about the alliance formed last week – or at least he tries to, as Paul E. quickly snatches the mic away from him and Lashley shoves him aside, leaving Heyman free reign. Heyman calls his partnership with Lashley the most unstoppable force in the WWE, the perfect combination of brains and brawn that will take them BOTH all the way to the top of the mountain. Paul E. mentions that, once again, The Undertaker has chosen not to show up tonight, and mentions that sooner or later the fine line between mystery and cowardice will disappear. Prompted by his focused client, Heyman states that things will be very different tomorrow tonight, because he and Lashley will be presenting a eulogy to The Undertaker at SNME in order to celebrate the career of The Phenom before The Real Deal ends it at WrestleMania. Paul E. ends the promo with an emphatic “Rest … In … Piece” mockery, before leading Lashley away.

In our fourth match, this time it is the United States Champion Booker T taking on the #1 Contender to the Cruiserweight title, Jamie Noble, in a reversal of the Kash/Mysterio match from earlier. Though not quite as good as the former match, Noble and Booker still mesh quite well together, with Noble, still furious following the assault on him two weeks ago, going on an all-out offensive. The Pitbull chops The Book Man all over the arena, lighting him up to the delight of the fans. Though Booker is on the run for the majority of the contest, he still manages to catch Noble by surprise and goes for the Book End, which Noble reverses into the Dragon Clutch!! As Noble has Booker in the centre of the ring ready to tap out, KID KASH leaps up onto the apron distracting the referee. Noble gets up and goes after Kash, but Kash jumps off the apron, and REY MYSTERIO attacks him. Kash and Mysterio fight back up the ramp, as Noble watches from the ring furiously. However, as he turns around, Noble gets drilled with a low blow out of nowhere from Booker, followed by the Scissors Kick for a cheap and dirty three count @ 09:29.
Just like Kid Kash earlier, Booker T rolls out of the ring and quickly grabs his U.S Championship belt, before retreating up the ramp with his wife Sharmell in tow, leaving Jamie Noble in the ring to hold his head.

{Commercial Break}

Back from the break, Batista is making his way to the ring backstage ready to compete, with the World Heavyweight Championship strapped around his waist … when Mikey of the Spirit Squad walks up to him. Batista scowls at the suited cheerleader BUT GETS ATTACKED FROM BEHIND BY THE REST OF THE SPIRIT SQUAD!! The quintet lay into The Animal, putting the boots to him in the backstage area, before an army of officials finally show up to stop the chaos, telling the Spirit Squad to go to the ring. The cheerleaders head off, laughing hysterically and mocking Big Dave, whilst Batista struggles on the floor.

As one would expect, the attack from the Spirit Squad means that Batista does not make it down to the ring for his Main Event tag team match with Edge against the World Tag Team Champions. This leads to a rather … interesting contest to say the least, as Edge does not appear overly keen on the idea of a 2-on-1 Handicap Match, especially when he is the one at the disadvantage. There is nothing he can do though, since he was the first to make his entrance in the first place, so when the Spirit Squad come down and surround the ring, all he can do is fight the two who enter {Johnny and Kenny}. Not being a particularly courageous face or anything, Edge gets dominated for the contest, with Lita occasionally trying to cheat on behalf of her boyfriend. The crowd reacts strangely to the heel-heel dynamic, actually cheering the incredibly popular {in a heel sense} Edge and booing the annoying Spirit Squad. The end appears to be near in the match when Johnny manages to lay Edge out in the centre of the ring with a DDT, and Kenny heads up top, looking for the Guillotine Leg Drop …
***I Walk Alone*** Everyone in the arena goes completely wild, as the World Heavyweight Champion Batista … hobbles out onto the stage. He looks slightly worse for wear following the beat down backstage, but he still heads for the ring. Kenny orders the rest of the Spirit Squad to cut The Animal off and they obey. Mikey charges, but gets tossed against the crowd barrier. Mitch leaps at the big man, only for ‘Tista to catch him in mid-air and TOSS HIM INTO THE CROWD!! Nicky stands at the foot of the ramp, looking very nervous … AND GETS SPEARED IN HALF!! Batista is on a complete role, as he enters the ring. Johnny comes right at him, but is greeted by a devastating Spinebuster!! The Animal begins to psyche himself up, shaking the ropes and signalling for the Batista Bomb … BUT KENNY BLASTS HIM FROM BEHIND WITH A STEEL CHAIR causing a Disqualification @ 13:05.
Batista actually turns around, barely feeling the effects of the chair shot, causing a terrified Kenny to hold up his hands in protest. The sly cheerleader quickly swings the chair at Batista’s skull, but The Animal blocks it and boots Kenny in the gut. ‘Tista swings the chair up and slams it across the spine of Kenny!! Johnny, already on the outside of the ring, quickly grabs his partner and pulls him out of the ring to escape the wrath of Batista. As the Spirit Squad all huddle at the foot of the ramp in disarray, Batista lets out an animalistic roar in the ring, standing tall, before turning … to lock eyes with his partner Edge. The Rated-R Superstar is clutching his head, looking much the worse for wear, as he exchanges a long stare down with someone who he must partner with one more time in twenty-four hours …
***Sexy Boy*** The reaction from the crowd is undeniably HUGE and mixed, as
SHAWN MICHAELS steps out onto the stage dressed in jeans, a t-shirt and his black cowboy hat, staring down the ramp at his SNME opponents with that faintly blank expression that we have become accustomed to of late. Both Batista and Edge turn away from each other to lock eyes with The Showstopper now, with The Animal so incredibly pumped up now that he actually calls for Michaels to come and enter the ring by holding up the middle rope and mouthing…
***Medal*** A reaction THUNDEROUS enough to match that of even Batista fills the building, as
KURT ANGLE steps out alongside his partner Shawn Michaels on the stage. The two Raw superstars barely acknowledge one another, as Angle stands, wearing jeans and a shirt too, with his WWE Championship over his shoulder, gazing at the SmackDown! duo intensely. Batista and Edge gaze right back, as the crowd buzzes with anticipation, Cole and Tazz make one final hard sell for SNME, and we fade out.

Default Re: Legend Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment

Wow, when I look at this BTB and then, after reading your recap of SmackDown! I think to myself... would that be too hard for the WWE to book if not for their tv script writers and the egos that have formed in that locker room over the years?!!

Anyhow, I loved the show this week, the matches were tight and the continuation of the feuds leading into SNME was also tight. Can't wait for Saturday Night's Main Event, it should be a total blast. I did quite dig this recap, although it was not your intent to do such a thing, there was as much if not more intensity in this shorter version of your shows.

It's maybe because I was able to read in one shot and not do a full on review but, still, I couldn't anything to criticize on... except maybe for the involvment of the Dicks...
