Re: Legend Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment

Smackdown Review

A very strong solid promo to kick off the show. You got Edge’s cocky heelish character off very well here, especially when he had Chimmel list his accomplishments and say that he will beat Batista. Batista/Edge confrontation was very good and both men sounded perfectly on character. Only problem was that the promo seemed to drag for my liking. Anyway an excellent start to the show

Great tag team match here, very well written. Comparing this to the Hart Foundation/Rockers is very big shoes to fill and makes the match sound just as good. MNM’s interference keeps both teams looking strong, and you also made MNM look very strong by taking out both teams.

Very good JBL promo, got his character spot on. Expecting some kind of Flair/JBL confrontation later on in the show.

McMahon promo sounded very good, good to see him play a face character here as I have got sick of him playing the heel boss character on TV. Interesting concept here with the 15 minute time limit match, and I am expecting the match to go the distance so MNM face both teams.

Good to see Hardy go over Orlando, as Hardy makes a good addition to the MITB, while I am surprised you have Orlando in this thread.

Great promo here. Flair’s character was spot on, but still the promo didn’t really pick up until JBL came out. JBL accepting the challenge was expected. At the start wasn’t too keen on this match for Mania, but this promo helped me get into it a bit more. Expect Flair to beat JBL at Mania, as I don’t think JBL would be the right person to have Flair retire against.

Ken Kennedy promo beforehand was very good. And the match was also very good, and was very well written. No suprises to see Booker cost Mysterio the match, seeing they are facing each other at Wrestlemania. Not a bad way to keep the feud going, while Kennedy picks up some momentum going into his certain MITB match at Mania as I expect him to qualify.

Very intriguing and good promo here, you made Orton look like a psycho in this promo and got his current day character off very well. Orton/McMahons promo sound very good and if it does lead to a match, please let it be Shane v Orton.

Kid Kash is a bad ass tbh. You did a very good descriptive job of the attack on Noble. I expect to see a Noble v Kash match at Mania, which is good despite how overdone Noble v Kash is in BTB.

Bobby Lashley with Paul Heyman=Spot on Black Brock Lesnar. Good to see a mouthpiece for Lashley, but just too much like it was in 2002 with Brock Lesnar.

Wow what a bloody main event, seemed to a PPV quality match, and once again you wrote it very well. You did a fantastic job of making Lashley look strong despite losing in this match. Taker costing Lashley the match adds some heat to the feud and am looking forward to their match at Mania.

Overall was a great show, mainly thanks to the main event and some great promos. Keep up the good work

Re: Legend Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment

DH6's SmackDown! Feedback

Liked how the show started off with The Cutting Edge, leaving the Steel Cage as the main event. Edge didn't get as microphone time as he could've before Batista came out, but his character was great. You got Batista's anger type character down perfectly, and it really got the intimidation across. The thing with these two watching each other's back may not be the greatest idea, but it's a great way to work a WrestleMania Main Event storyline.

The tag team division you've got on SmackDown! is fabulous. I have a feeling that it will be Londrick vs. MNM for the tag titles, possibly at WrestleMania. Shame that such a great match was brought to a hault by MNM, but it really establishes their heel status, so I'm fine with it.

JBL was in great character. He'll obvioulsy accept Ric Flair's challenge, which should be a great match at WrestleMania. His character during this segment was great. Like how you're giving him good amounts of mic time.

Don't really like how you have Vince as a face, but I s'pose I'll put up with it. The fifteen minutes of fame should be good, and possibly a Triple Threat between the three teams? I would mark, tbh, but MNM vs. Londrick would also be just as solid.

Two good guys to choose to compete to be in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Having Matt in the match will be good, but was hoping Jordan would be in it. Hopefully you'll have one or two heels in the match.

In the beginning, it felt like Flair was saying Wooo a little too much. It just seemed like he would say it between some words. Putting 'Wooo' between words won't put Flair into character, imo. Great for Bradshaw to come out, and I have a feeling that the match will be made tonight. This makes SmackDown! look stroner, because a lot of the time inter-promotional matches are made on Raw. Great intensity by Flair, I could really feel it. Glad that the match did get announced, and I have a feeling it will turn out to be epic.

Not sure if this means that Kennedy's guaranteed to be in the MITB Match, because it would be better if he actually qualified, imo. Liked how Book Man was doing some commentary; watching his WrestleMania opponent. Possibly some interference coming, but sometimes, the opponent will win the match and the other opponent will just stand up on the outside and have a staredown. Good choice for Kennedy, because I think that him and Rey work fairly good together. Good for Booker's distraction to sort of cost Rey, because it wasn't quite interference, but it still cost him the match. Didn't think the slap was necessary, since there hasn't been enough build for this match, imo.

This segment was my favourite of the night so far, tbh. I could just imagine it in my mind. I don't know, I just really enjoyed it. Hopefully Orton is a part of WrestleMania somehow, because it would be a huge loss if he wasn't. Possibly Randy vs. Vince?

The short interview really got across how focussed Noble was... until Kash attacked him from behind. This has been the second match where the champion has attacked. Not the best booking idea, but I guess it will set up the WrestleMania Match.

Lashley's quite focussed for a heel, but I guess you've been building him up more monster like, from what I read at No Way Out. Interesting to see if he'll prevail in the cage.

Bad booking decision to interview No Way Out after like 5 minutes ago he was beaten viciously by Kid Kash. This just wasn't realistic.

Definitely looking forward to this match. Good for Finlay to get busted open, since he's having a face turn and the face usually get bloodied first. Great for Heymen to slam the door on Finlay, as that was realistic and typical. Then Undertaker coming through the bottom of the ring? This was definitely unrealistic, and don't think that it could be done, imo. Finlay winning was good, but Lashley getting pulled through was strange. Well, the whole thing with Undertaker breaking through the canvas was weird, imo. Undertaker vs. Lashley was expected. Don't want Undertaker's streak to end against a rookie like Lashley. Would much rather it end to a legend like Flair, Michaels or possibly The Rock.

Overall the show was pretty good. Disappointed that Edge and Batista appeared at the beginning of the show and that was it. It's the WrestleMania Main Event, so keep them more active. Definitely some WrestleMania matches in the works, with a great card set to be on hand.

Re: Legend Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment

Legend’s SMACKDOWN Feedback.

You most definitely made the right decision in kicking off the show with Edge, giving some good hype and exposure to both his jump to SmackDown as well as the Wrestlemania Main Event. Both Edge and ‘Tista’s characters were right on song here, you portrayed them both very nicely but I think the major point here was how well you had them both interact with each other. Batista, for me, is generally pretty bland but he wasn’t here, you kept him quite entertaining. The watching each others backs deal was done in real with Booker and Batista so I guess it’ll be interesting to see how it pans how and how you put your own swing on it. I definitely think there’ll be more to this storyline because I just don’t buy Edge’s reasoning concerning why he wanted to face Batista at ‘Mania. He’s a sly dog and there’ll definitely be something deeper to it. Great start to the show, will look forward to see how these two are involved in the rest of the evening.

Good to see that the tag division gets more attention on this show. Nicely written recap, the action had enough length and detail so that a good flow could develop. MNM’s interference was nicely timed. The interference from the champions keeps both teams looking strong as well as keeping as guessing as to what direction you’re headed with the title defence at ‘Mania. At the moment this whole situation just screams Triple Threat Match, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see you pull something different. I’m loving what you’re doing with the tag division, the exposure you’re giving it is great.

Nice promo from Bradshaw. His character was awesome. You’re the only person out of any of the BTBs I read that can make me enjoy his character. I’ll be interested to see what pans out tonight. Did you deliberately have Bradshaw called Steve Romero, Sean? Or was that a fuck up?

Ahahaha. I’m digging Vince as a face. I love the name for the match next week, it definitely made me giggle. After this I can definitely see a triple threat tag in the works. Solid promo, this gives MNM even more momentum to be honest as it puts them over to be a big deal having such attention from Vince. Solid promo, you stuffed up though when you said it’s London and Kendrick v Regal and Kendrick next week.

Why is Orlando referred to as the “EX” chief of staff? Another solid recap man but I was surprised you had Orlando coming off looking so credible. The finish keeps OJ looking particularly strong, but I wouldn’t have minded in slightest if Jordan got jobbed the fuck out. It was always obvious that Matt was gonna end up in MITB and on the back of his win over Bradshaw he’s looking very strong and I wouldn’t be at all shocked to see him win it.

To be honest I would’ve like to have seen a little more depth and dialogue in the opening of the promo from Flair. It just seemed to lack a little character and I feel had Flair had more to say when he was by himself it would’ve added to the promo more and it would’ve provided a better build up for the arrival of JBL. Once JBL arrived, I thought the promo improved for the definitive better but I still don’t think it had the same edge as previous interactions between these two have had. I must admit that I loved the way that Flair used JBLs words against him and he twisted them around to conned him into the match. Smart stuff. Good segment, the hype for this match continues to be great. Solid stuff.

I think you booked this match pretty perfectly, I absolutely think you made the right decision in booking Kennedy to go over while having Booker cost Rey the win. This way you hype him for MITB while you’re giving the US Title feud some much needed build and exposure. The slap kinda came a little out of the blue for me, I would’ve thought it’d be better just to have Booker gloating on the outside having cost Rey the victory. Rey looked really good in this match too, making the interference from Booker even more crucial.

Intriguing segment with Vince and Orton. This thing with Orton continues to build, I’m really starting to wonder where you’re going with it. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Vince v Orton at ‘Mania with Orton looking to kill the Legend of McMahon.

This was a very well written segment, you painted a good picture as to just what was going down. You made the right decision having Kash attack Noble. I was a little concerned when I saw this match on the card but I think I knew all along that you wouldn’t ruin a Wrestlemania match. Nice segment, adds more fire to the feud, it establishes Noble even more I think, he looks like a tough prick right now.

I’m loving the Heyman/Lashley thing. It’s shaping up brilliantly. My only question is, how the hell are you going to get Lashley to warm up to Heyman? We’ll see I guess. Cool promo though, Heyman was at his kniving best.

Short but well written segment here to be honest. You capture Noble’s character almost perfectly every time you write him. It’s fucking great to see the CW Title getting so much hype and exposure. I love it.

Awesome Main Event, it’s great to see you go into a bit extra detail for a big match. This match however, seemed more like just an extra stepping stone for hyping Lashley v Taker than anything else. You’re doing an excellent job in establishing Lashley as a heel, Heyman definitely helps though. Taker coming through the canvas was fucking brilliant and a good way to give Finlay the win too. Heyman’s reaction was written brilliantly, and I could definitely see him carrying on like that, it’d be priceless to be honest. Brilliant creativity to be honest. Vince coming out and making the announcement adds to the enormity of the match. Great way to end the show, giving Taker/Lashley some good limelight. Heyman made the whole thing, tbh. Gotta wonder the hell Finlay’s gonna do now? MITB maybe? Who knows?

Overall, a solid show. Just about everything hyped ‘Mania and every segment had a purpose. Your promos were all quite good although I think it’s a mistake that we only saw Edge and Batista twice. A little more build for the both of them would’ve been grand. Never the less, solid show mate. The build to Mania continues to be great.

The Cabinet has never been officially reformed following the '05 split. Orlando is just sticking to JBL for th rub.

EVERYONE who wants to be in the MITB match has to qualify, even someone as divine as Double K

Have you ever seen Rage In The Cage, Hart/Diesel from '96? Watch this match plz for some of the best interference in WWF history. Not that I was, uh, influenced at all

Deserved comparison I felt though, in order to make the division sound as awesome as it should be. Expect more analogies in the future

Re: Legend Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment

Bradley's Smackdown review
I'm horribly guilty of reading your shows, but not reviewing. The trend ends now.

It was the perfect decision to give the opening to one of the best guys on the stick, Edge. I really did laugh at Chimel squirming his way through that one. The fact that Batista has been undefeated for one whole year makes me even more certain that Edge will take home the gold. You write Edge so well, his arrogance, his cocky demeanor and the fact that he is just plain Edgy. Very nice impromptu from Edge telling the fans to shut up. The hallmark of a great writer is one who thinks outside the box. I don't think Batista would want to wreck his suit climbing up on the turnbuckle. OMG unreal1sticz!!11! A great way to build the tension within the first few lines of interaction and the way the crowd are played in to the situation is pretty much phenomenal. Just a quick side note, why did Edge turn cool and smug to completely psychotic? Because that transition just happened in those few lines and seemed out of place. Back to smug mode again to insult the fans. This promo is so good because it is believable. Edge would put down the fans with a whiny voice or two and he would be cowardly. Like I said, you write Edge perfectly but you ain't half bad at capturing Batista. A nice array of insults was good but why would Batista not want to hurt Edge after what he did last week? It must have hurt just a little bit. Let's not go down the Superman route.

You seem to have a well built tag division, I was very surprised to see the Hooligans get the majority of the offense in. The Bluebloods were 'baffled' but they have been in the industry a hell of a lot longer than Londrick and they must know a way to slow them down. Roughing them up wouldn't go amiss. At least you didn't job them out and the MNM inteference was definitely well timed as the pinfall would have lost a team a lot of credibility. I don't think that was the smartest move in the world though.

I would like it if Jordan spread his wings a little bit and move away from JBL as the tandem do tend to get a little tiresome. It seems like I have heard JBL brag about his wealth a thousand times before. No disrespect to you because you can't exactly do a lot in the situation.

Damn that was a mark out moment seeing MNM get their comeuppance by a FACE Mr. McMahon. You don't see that a lot of the time and this could work out very much to your advantage. An innovative idea and I sense the time limit will expire next week because 'Mania without either Londrick or the Bluebloods would be rather stupid with the way you have built them up.

Definitely surprised that JBL didn't interfere but I guess that would ruin the Flair rivalry. I like that Orlando is a jobber to the stars so Hardy has a lot of momentum going into 'Mania where he *WON'T* win. Someone from RAW will win this time. Come to think of it, I would like Hardy to win the MITB and cash it in in the same match as Edge cashes it in. That will = ratings and Edge/Hardy feud will open new doors up.

You kind of overdid the WOOO's at the beginning but I loved the intense side of Ric Flair. Perfect flow from what I can see but it kind of got interrupted when JBL came down. Flair should have had a lot more time for his monologue as that is where he works best. What in the holy hell is a Maven? Anyway, pretty much loved JBL getting frustrated at Flair, not something you see every day. The fact that JBL was lost for words said it all, pretty terrific promo and an awesome match for 'Mania is in the works.

A very nice Kennedy promo hyping him up, despite not being in the MITB yet, I think he will win it. Just going to state that Kennedy better cash in his MITB against Edge because it would be the most controversial event... EVER. A very good match up basically hyping up the U.S title match but why did Kennedy go over clean? It really made no sense to me, at least have Booker hit him. Booker looking at Mysterio, a man with oodles of experience, isn't going to be put off by that.

A very short promo, I expected it to be longer until I heard 'next week'. Anyway I would mark for Orton vs. Shane at 'Mania as that is where it is heading. That would be my second favourite match to see other than RVD/HBK. Oh... make it hardcore as well please.

Noble is definitely getting a nobler lease on life in this thread, I am definitely enjoying the CW division and this match has amazing potential. OH I didn't expect Kash to attack Noble, it definitely escalates the importance of the division in one swoop. A very nice booking move.

Why do I sense Lashley will turn face again at 'Mania? Heyman's gonna get his ass kicked in his imminent match against 'Taker and 'Taker will win and Lashley can get put in the ME scene. Heyman certainly didn't mince his words but he may be getting too cocky for his own good.

I think Noble may go too far at 'Mania but this match is being built up superbly and I can't wait to see how that goes down. Noble's dialogue was pretty much down to his tee and I can imagine him saying exactly that.

A very good, physical match; especially liking Finlay getting busted open, it definitely adds to Lashley's character. Finlay getting screwed was the best way to elevate Lashley's status but, as I alluded to earlier, Heyman got too cocky and inadvertadely made Lashley pay. I remember when Diesel was dragged under the ring in '96 I was like OMG! But didn't JBL get pulled under the ring and end up winning the match? Lashley basically escaped the cage and won the match. Uhhh, it's all a bit technical.

A very good show, you basically have got a new reviewer and I am definitely anticipating what should be an excellent 'Mania.

For the first time ever it will be WrestleMania Main Event versus WrestleMania Main Event. If you're thinking that Raw doesn't have a Main Event, then you are very much wrong, because Mr. McMahon has also reluctantly announced that due to the infamous contract signing a few weeks ago, whether anyone likes it or not, Shawn Michaels will be in the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania with Kurt Angle. All that remains to be seen is whether or not John Cena will be joining them on April 2nd. 'The Doctor of Thuganomics' has been sidelined thanks to HBK with a severe concussion for the past month and there has been no word on how his recovery is coming along. One thing is for certain though, there will be two pairs of uneasy allies on March 18th, as 'The Showstopper' Shawn Michaels teams up with 'The Wrestling Machine' and WWE Champion Kurt Angle to face 'The Rated R Superstar' Edge and his WrestleMania opponent, the World Heavyweight Champion 'Theb Animal' Batista. Will anyone make it out of SNME alive?

Wow, Michaels getting named as the number one contender is great, as it pleases me greatly. You've definitely got us hanging to see if Cena does get apart of the match, and to be honest, I don't know if he will or not. The Main Event vs. Main Event should also be good.

Re: Legend Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment

This week we will finally hear from the man who everyone has been dying for an explanation; that man being 'The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels. Michaels has promised to be in attendance on Monday night, and will conduct and in-ring interview with Jim Ross concerning his status as the Number One Contender to the WWE title heading into WrestleMania, his partnership with Kurt Angle come Saturday Night's Main Event, and, perhaps most important of all, his heinous actions towards John Cena. Will we finally discover what is going on in the mind of 'The Showstopper'?

Speaking of Kurt Angle, the WWE Champion will be in action, as he teams up with the only Raw entrant thus far in the Money in the Bank Ladder match at WrestleMania, Chavo Guerrero, to take on the duo of Carlito and Chris Masters. Both Angle and Chavo have had their issues with Carlito and Masters recently and will be looking for some semblance of retribution. However, with his Money in the Bank qualifying match only one week away and his business proposition to 'The Masterpiece' still hanging in the air, what frame of mind will 'The Bad Apple' be in come Monday?

"One way or another". That was the promise made by Triple H on wwe. com concerning whether or not Rob Van Dam would sign the contract for the Street Fight at WrestleMania. RVD made the challenge last week, but The Game nailed him with the sledgehammer instead, and now Raw General Manager Eric Bischoff is claiming that no one has heard from Van Dam since then. We can only hope that Rob Van Dam will make it to Birmingham, Alabama to confront his enemies.

High stakes. That sums up the Triple Threat Money in the Bank Qualifier that will take place on Monday night between good friends Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas, and Gregory Helms. All three men long to be World Champion, but with the persistent and irritating attention of the World Tag Team Champions the Spirit Squad plaguing them everywhere they go, will Haas and Benjamin be able to fully concentrate on the task at hand?

Also look out for 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair to compete in his first match up since returning from injury, as he faces SmackDown's Orlando Jordan, the 'friend' of Flair's WrestleMania opponent, JBL.

All this and more Monday night at 8/7CT on the USA Network.

Looking forward to the RVD/Triple H scenario. Not looking forward to seeing Cena prolly getting into the title picture...
