Thanks for all of the feedback and predictions so far, guys. More are welcome of course

Besides the obvious money maker in the Main Event, featuring Batista and The Undertaker, the WWE is planning on using the PPV as a way to bring some credibility back to the WWE Tag Team division and the Cruiserweight Division. The WWE have been unhappy with the status of these divisions for a while now, but that looks to change. Backstage, MNM and The Hooligans, and Jamie Noble and Kid Kash, are seen as THE futures of the WWE Tag Team and Cruiserweight divisions respectively. Expect both matches to get a great deal of time at No Way Out.

Also, the company has been very happy with the way the recent feud between Matt Hardy and JBL has been received. Although JBL will be heading into a rumoured program with Ric Flair shortly, this feud is being booked mainly as a way to build Matt Hardy's babyface status. The WWE see Hardy as having a huge future, thanks to his overness with the fans and improved in-ring ability.
Okay, I just thought I'd get that up. No Way Out will be posted IN FULL, and so far I have only one match to finish. The complete PPV should be up by the end of next week, but please don't hold me to that because I have a couple of essays to finish for University.

Thanks for the update man along with the news and notes. Based on the news and notes, the tag team and Cruiserweight matches should be two great matches. As far as the JBL/Hardy feud, since that is the case in terms of the purpose of the storyline, that's great booking. No Way Out being in full might be enough for a strong contender for PPV of the month. Looking forward to the PPV.

No Way Out isn't a stacked card when it comes to star power, but it's most definitely loaded with quality. Potentially great matches from top to bottom. More than looking forward to it.

Legend, I know I've been saying this a lot lately mate, but I'm sorry I haven't been able to drop any feedback lately. My life has been so fucking hectic of late that it's not even worth talking about. I'm going to start reviewing your shows again come No Way Out. That's the plan anyway, bud.

Legend’s SMACKDOWN Comments.

Mate, I felt like an ass for not dropping a review in here for so long so here I am as you build toward No Way Out. Hopefully I haven’t missed to much of the most addicting thread on these forums. Sorry if this is a little brief though, I’m strapped for time at the moment.

Very corny commentary to kick things off bud, even more corny then one would normally expect. Lol.

This was an absolutely brilliant promo to kick off the show, Legend. I find Batista bland at the best of times but I really enjoyed what you did with him here bud, the intensity you portrayed in him was great and you really created a clear picture of the scene. I like the way you’re booking Batista too, I like that he’s not playing the typical lovey-dovey face type nor is he being made to look like the Undertaker’s bitch, so all is good. Undertaker’s role in this promo was fairly stereotypical I thought. I was pretty much exactly what you’d expect to see from Taker. The Phenom’s role was nothing overly innovative or ground breaking, but it was still very effective and had its desired effect in hyping the feud between Taker and ‘Tista. The brawl at the end made the promo feel even more personal and it definitely did the same for the feud. It definitely provided some hype and intrigue for the Main Event tonight, how can these two co-exist? I’ve got no idea, but it’ll be good to watch unfold. I’m torn as to who I think will win at NWO, but I think I’m leaning towards ‘Tista, because it seems although you’ve been building towards ‘Tista v Orton at Mania for a while now.

Good to see these two get a decent amount of time. They seemed to put on a solid match up and the ending was well booked in the sense that Burchill provided some interference, costing Super Crazy the win and hyping the match between the two teams at No Way Out in a few days. Well written recap here, bud.

Solid hype for the Main Event here whilst you maintained and portrayed the characters of MNM very well. You showcased Melina particularly well, but I would’ve liked to have seen a little more from here to be honest because Mercury and Nitro are somewhat bland.

Nice segment here, hyping the Cruiserweights which is awesome. Kid Kash was awesome here, his character was perfect! Noble was great too, I’m a huge Noble mark and I really like Kash so I hope you’re building towards Kash v Noble at Wrestlemania. Question – Is Noble a face in your thread? He seemed kinda tweenerish to me here.

It was really great to see this match get some good time as well, you’ve really given some good exposure to your Cruiserweight and Tag Division’s tonight. Following the previous segment it was really no surprise to see Noble pick up the team and it’s great to see him garnering some strong momentum heading into the PPV. BTW, question answered – Noble is a face. Haha. Solid recap here, with the cruisers nailing some innovative and fun moves. I love that you’re showcasing the division more to be honest.

Nice promo from Orton here. You put him over nicely, although there were a lot of grammar errors in this one that really did hamper it. Orton mentioning all the “wrong-doings” of Teddy Long and every thing he has endured in recent times in SD was great and most definitely characteristic of him. Bischoff coming out was a bit of a surprise to be honest. You definitely captured his kniving persona very effectively and now part of me is actually thinking that Orton may head to Raw, but I doubt it since I am almost certain you are building towards Orton v Batista at Wrestlemania.

Rey picks up the win over Simon Dean is was little more than just a glorified squash match. A victory for Rey was never in doubt here. The intro’s by Kennedy at the start of the match were good too and definitely very effective in hyping the match at No Way Out. The expected post-math beat down of Rey is suddenly thwarted by Rey’s tag team partner for this week – Chavo Guerrero. Big announcement there, along with the announcement regarding the US Title situation. Rey is odds on to pick up the win at No Way Out… although I wouldn’t be too shocked if you pulled a swerve on us and had Chavo pick up the victory. That’d be cool, for mine.

I love Heyman’s character when he’s portrayed like this and I think you are writing him brilliantly. It seems apparent that you’re building towards Lashley v Undertaker at Wrestlemania, which is another reason why Taker won’t win at this coming PPV. Perhaps Lashley to screw him out of the title? I dunno, but it would be cool. Right now I’m really digging what you’re doing with Heyman and I can’t wait to watch in unfold over time. The way you wrote this segment was great and my favourite of the show thus far, eclipsing the opening promo. Absolutely brilliant mate. I loved it.

Lashley beats Hardcore Holly. Excellent. I wouldn’t expect otherwise. Hmm, not to smart on Lashley’s behalf really to call out Finlay only to get the crap beaten out of him. This was very Batista-ish for mine to be honest. I forgot that Lashley was facing Finlay at No Way Out. Good to see their match get some hype although Lashley will definitely be picking up the victory.

Another awesome promo here mate, with Bradshaw this time. Your promo writing skills are awesome man, you capture everything just about perfectly. At the start of this promo I thought it was all going to be about Flair but I was pleased to see that this wasn’t the case as it quickly came involve Hardy. The beat down at the end was great, involving Orlando Jordan. Would I be right or close to right in assuming that JBL will be re-forming the Cabinet in a Horsemen like stable? Never the less, awesome segment. I’m loving this show thus far, I’m very glad I took the time to read it.

A bit of generic hype from Batista here for both the Main Event and Sunday, nothing major. Adds a little bit more to the feud, showing how much desire and drive Batista has.

Wholy crap. What a great way to end the show. I was slightly concerned that Taker and Tista would dominate the crap out of these two and make them look like glorified jobbers, but thankfully not. MNM come out of this looking VERY credible having stepped up to the mark and proven themselves against these two, before beating the living crap out of them both too. Londrick in the Main Event is awesome too. If you want to elevate the division there is no better way to do it. If that didn’t get over London and Kendrick, nothing ever will. Great way to end the show, I can’t emphasise that enough. The sit up at the end was very predictable but I guess it adds a little more fuel to the fire.

Anyway, great show. Best weekly show I’ve read in BTB in an AGE, I really mean that mate. I haven’t read anything better than that in a long, long time. Some of your earlier segments had some very uncharacteristic spelling and grammar faults but they really only hampered one of them. Well done mate, I’ll leave some predictions for No Way Out which I will almost definitely be leaving some feedback for as well. Great show, can’t wait for the PPV! Update on when it will be posted plz!

Predictions:

World Heavyweight Championship:
Batista © vs. The Undertaker
I can't see you not going ahead with both Tista v Orton and Lashley v Taker. I think this match is a foregone conclusion. I'll be shocked if Taker wins.

WWE Tag Team Championship:
MNM © vs. The Hooligans
I'm torn here, following this SD, I think you should continue to build on Londrick's momentum. Whether you do or not is another thing, but I hope Londrick get the win.

Cruiserweight Championship; Open Invitational:
Kid Kash © vs. Jamie Noble vs. Funaki vs. Juventud vs. Shannon Moore vs. Nunzio vs. Scotty Too Hotty vs. Nunzio
Kash v Noble - Wrestlemania. Nuff Said.

Grudge Match:
Matt Hardy vs. John ‘Bradshaw Layfield
This is probably the hardest match to pick. I think Hardy will steal a win thanks to some help from the Naitch. Hardy seems to be amidst a push and I think he'll build some momentum heading into Mania where I dare say he will be apart of the Money in the Bank match.

Tag Team Match:
U.S. Champion Booker T and Mr. Kennedy
vs. Rey Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero
I think you're building towards Booker T...T v Rey Mysterio at 'Mania so I think this match is a fairly obvious one too. Although I'd love to see Chavo pick up the win for his team just to complicate matters

Singles Match:
Bobby Lashley vs. Finlay
As per my reasoning for the WHC match. Lashley v 'Taker at Mania. Lashley needs to continue to build his momentum to make him look a threat to the Undertaker. I wouldn't be surprised to see Lashley beat the fuck out of Finlay and get DQed in very heelish fashion before going full heel in the Main Event.

Tag Team Match:
The Bluebloods vs. The Mexicools
I really have no idea. I love Regal but I like the Mexicools team so they get the nod. I'm fairly sure you're a Regal mark though, so that may be enough for them to get the victory.

Wildcard Questions

1. Which match will be chosen to open the PPV? Cruiserweight Open.

2. Will Teddy Long give Randy Orton what he wants? Still undecided completely, but I think so yes.

3. How many title changes, if any, will occur? 1

4. What will be the Match Of The Night? MNM v Londrick.

5. Which superstar will make the biggest impression? Bobby Lashley.

Once again mate, well done on a great show and I'm really looking forward to No Way Out.

Sorry for the lateness, buddy.

SmackDown Review
Explosive way to kick off SmackDown, man. For the first time ever; someone actually managed to entertain me with a Batista promo. The Undertaker was just alright, but Batista looked too strong in this promo. With just three days before SmackDown’s first pay per view of the year, I think that the promo was designed to make sure that ‘Taker and ‘Tista are gonna have some miscommunications in the main event tonight, and to hype their huge clash which is gonna happen at No Way Out. Nice way to cap off this promo too, with the security guys finally managing to break the messy brawl between these two contenders. Strong promo. Loved it. And I got entertained.

Awesome match to kick off the action too. William Regal looked tough here, whilst Super Crazy did his job solidly to make the match good too. The ending was booked well to further more hype the Mexicools vs. Bluebloods match for No Way Out, and I’m glad that Paul Burchill had to help Regal. That just made Mexicools keep their credibility alive, and at the same time; it gained The Bluebloods some good heel heat. Looking forward to their tag match at No Way Out, buddy.

Hehe. Nice promo again. I actually imagined the “Holla holla holla” part of Teddy, and it made me laugh. He’s so entertaining. MNM looked good too. I’m glad that you’re actually putting a good effort to hype the main event of tonight’s show. I’m pumped up for the main event!

Okayish promo here between the Cruiserweight Champ, Kash, and Noble. I found Kash entertaining here more than Jamie Noble to be honest. I know you’re a huge mark of Kid Kash, and he’s my favorite cruiserweight too. The promo itself was a good way to hype the cruiserweight title match that is set to happen at No Way Out, and I’m looking forward to what the other cruiserweights (including Noble) have what role on tonight’s show?

Another intriguing match up that excited me a lot. I liked to see Jamie Noble get the pinfall to cap off this match. It makes me feel that we’d se seeing Jamie Noble vs. Kid Kash for the CW title at WrestleMania. I don’t think that Kash would lose the title at No Way Out. So yeah, Noble vs. Kash for WrestleMania would be awesome. The feud is building up nicely, but there is a lot of predictability. Gonna do something about the predictability. But other than that; it was an awesome read, and the aftermath was entertaining too, with Kash and Noble having an intense staredown.

Serious promo by Randy Orton here before No Way Out. Orton was right in character, and his wordings were good too, but the flow wasn’t 100% right there. Eric Bischoff’s part was played well, and you successfully made him look like an “evil”. I’m really not sure as to what’s gonna happen at No Way Out. That’s not predictable, and it’s good to have some surprise. The promo could’ve been more in length though, but other than that; it was good to hype Orton’s role at No Way Out.

You’re a HUGE mark of Kennedy. Everyone knows it. Anyway; the introductions by Kennedy before this match up were done in a nice way. I smirked when Ken said “tubby” to Chimmel. That was perfect cockiness. He was right in character.

Onto the match now; I was actually expecting that either Ken or Booker will screw Mysterio, but I was wrong. Good surprise there. And I like how you portrayed Simon Dean in this match up too. The match itself didn’t look squash to me. And, the aftermath was done perfectly. The emotion of explained from the fans, the cockiness from KK was portrayed nicely, and Chavo’s surprise run in for kept perfectly. The tag team match then getting announced was fair, but I don’t like how you’ve got 3 tag team matches for No Way Out. The stipulation in that match about the number one contender to the US title is nice though.

You’re awesome at delivering promos, Jonathan. This was an awesome promo, and Paul Heyman, as always was spot on. Length, flow, and everything else was fine. Lashley’s expressions were also explained nicely. The build up to the impending match between Lashley and Undertaker for WM is getting a great hype. And I’m sure that when the time of WM comes around, this will be one, if not, THE biggest feud of your thread. Awesome promo. <3

Hmmm. I like how you had Lashley look strong firstly after defeating HH, and then turning in a matter of seconds, making Finlay earn some momentum before No Way Out. I LOVE how you’re hyping EVERY match for No Way Out.

Great hype for JBL (And for the ‘impeding’ match between JBL and Flair for WM too). This promo was great too. JBL was in character, the flow was good, the length, and the finish was good too. Loved the rant by JBL on Ric Flair. When you firstly had Flair’s music hit, I was actually expecting Flair to come out, but then when I read JBL is actually dressed like Flair; I laughed my ass off. Yep, it would be sooooo funny to watch JBL do like that. You have some great feuds building up for WrestleMania, man. Anyway, Matt Hardy then comes out, and gets destroyed by one of my favorite mic worker of all time, JBL! Great promo, and the attack of Orlando Jordan, and JBL on Matt was great. Loved how you explained JBL putting Matt up in Flair’s finisher.

Okayish promo here. Nothing special, but just okay. Decent enough to hype the main event.

Awesome main event. The miscommunications between The Undertaker and Batista were explained with perfection, and the way MNM gained advantage in the early and middle part of this match up was nice. Ending of this match was great too, with The Undertaker and Batista once again trying to brawl, but Mercury comes in, attacking both with steel chairs, ending the match with DQ. Glad to see LonDrick coming up for Batista and The Undertaker’s aid (Btw, LonDrick vs. MNM is the only feud/match that hasn’t got the ‘real’ hype). Anyway; it was a strong way to cap off a solid show too, with Batista looking stronger than The Undertaker. Great show.

Predictions for No Way Out

World Heavyweight Championship:
Batista © vs. The Undertaker

WWE Tag Team Championship:
MNM © vs. The Hooligans

Cruiserweight Championship; Open Invitational:
Kid Kash © vs. Jamie Noble vs. Funaki vs. Juventud vs. Shannon Moore vs. Nunzio vs. Scotty Too Hotty vs. Nunzio

Matt Hardy vs. John ‘Bradshaw Layfield

Tag Team Match:
U.S. Champion Booker T and Mr. Kennedy
vs. Rey Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero

Singles Match:
Bobby Lashley vs. Finlay

Tag Team Match:
The Bluebloods vs. The Mexicools

1. Which match will be chosen to open the PPV?
Rey and Chavo vs. Booker and Kennedy OR the Cruiserweight Title match up

Yes.

3. How many title changes, if any, will occur?
One - Tag Titles.

4. What will be the Match Of The Night?

News and Notes
Source: pwtorch.com

Three hours before the No Way Out event...

According to correspondents at the event, the heir to the McMahon empire, Shane McMahon has been at the 1st Mariner Arena since early this morning and has been quite active ince arrival. It is unsure what role he is currently paying there, and more than likely he is simply there to represent his father. However, some rumours have hinted that Shane could very well be scouting for an up and coming Wrestlemania feud of his. This is unconfirmed, but check back later for updates.

Both Batista and The Undertaker have apparently expressed concerns over the past few weeks that a feud such as theirs, featuring two HUGE monster faces, has not received nearly enough hype. It is though that although they have been in competition ince the start of the year Randy Orton dominated the feud heading into the Triple Threat match at the Royal Rumble. Batista and Undertaker face stiff competition for the Match Of The Night tag from a number of bouts, but both men have expressed their desire to pull out a classic to en the feud ad send both men into Wrestlemania on a high.

Expect the Rey Mysterio/Chavo Guerrero - Booker T/Mr. Kennedy match to get some good time. According to sources, the SmackDown! team have told both Mysterio and Guerrero to pull something impressive out of Booker and Kennedy, potentially stealing the show. The intention is to build the United States title up, as well as keep Chavo Guerrero looking strong, as he will potentially go after the Intercontinental title when back on Raw. Also, the WWE is very conscious of its treatment of Mr. Kennedy at this point, as it has been said they see him as the future of the company.

Apparently both Bobby Lashley and Paul Heyman will be featured heavily throughout the show, outside of Lashley's match with Finlay. What role they will play is unclear at this point though.

Great news concering No Way Out. Based on the news and notes, this PPV is just going to be the continuation and the beginning of feuds on the Smackdown brand for Mania. Looking forward to No Way Out, and will leave a review once it's posted.
