Re: TNA: Changing The Face Of Pro Wrestling
January 15th 2006
So before I left to head to the arena I needed to accomplish 2 things. First, I wanted to get online and check the news sites for the latest WWE rumblings. Then I needed to review of Impact. Ah the good ole Internet lets see what’s going on in the E right now:
*Vince McMahon upset with Joey Styles
Good. I personally love Joey Styles and I hope Vince fires him so I can lure him to TNA to take over for Don West. Keep up the good work Joey
*Edge title switch made on the spot
Well no shit. The fans were clearly turning on Cena and WWE did the smart thing and got the title off of him. Now lets see if they trust Edge enough to carry the title over a good amount of time.
Well certainly not much huge news. Sure there were some other tidbits but nothing that affected how I was going to book TNA. Come on WWE, release Benoit or something for me. Anyway, on to Impact
Good
1. 6 Points Of Impact Build: Well damn if I didn’t put a lot of work into building this match. All 6 promos came off well and the tag match turned 4 way was good action. I liked how it turned into a 4 way as well. I mean, these guys are going to fight each other tonight for a shot at the X Title, why should they work together the night before?
2. Abyss: I don’t know why but I enjoyed seeing Abyss beat the hell out of Shark Boy. It just showed how much destruction Abyss can cause in a short amount of time. He should be a treat to watch in the Hell On Earth Match
3. Daniels/Dutt Ending: Holy shit. How those guys pulled off that move I’ll never know but I’m glad they worked that spot out before the match. Huge kudos to those two.
Bad
1. No Other Build: No mention of The Outlaws vs. Konnan feud, Daniels had a match and the announcers built up Joe but that’s it, no sign of Team 3-D, AMW, Christian, or Monty Brown, and Raven’s match was announced but that’s about it. Those matches should have been built so much better.
2. Jarrett’s Promo: Two things wrong here: Bad build by Tenay and bad deliver by Jarrett. Tenay built Jarrett’s promo as “The State Of Address Of TNA” and what did Jarrett do? Come out and call out Sting. I can’t complain too much though, Jarrett did keep it short.
3. Throw Together Matches: I personally hate throwing together matches with no build at all. But when I only have an hour to work with, throw together matches just happen. It sucks for Team Canada, The Naturals, Strong, and Aries that they’re wrestling for next to no reason but hey, at least they’re collecting pay.
So good and bad were even but in reality, the bad heavily outweighs the good. If I could have switched last week’s episode with this weeks, I would have done it in a heartbeat. Oh well, the past is the past and tonight is my PPV debut.
My Comments: Two more to go before the PPV. One is a backstage get together and the other is a PPV Promo. The backstage segment will probably be up tomorrow. Keep the predictions coming.

Re: TNA: Changing The Face Of Pro Wrestling
Guys just letting you know, pick the winners of the matches as well. Follow the format that SIAG used. Just copy the card and bold the winner. The wildcard questions are just tiebreaker questions.

Re: TNA: Changing The Face Of Pro Wrestling
TNA Presents: Final Resolution 2006
Hell On Earth: Christian Cage, Sting, Team 3-D, & Rhino vs. Jeff Jarrett, Monty Brown, America’s Most Wanted, & Abyss
Sting wont be losing in his first appearance
X Division Title Match: Samoa Joe © vs. Christopher Daniels
Joe needs a dominant reign as X Division Champion, despite Daniels being my favorite wrestler in TNA, along with Sting, I'm going with Joe
6 Points of Impact: AJ Styles vs. Chris Sabin vs. Petey Williams vs. Alex Shelley vs. Matt Bentley vs. Elix Skipper
AJ wins everything for some reason sadly
Raven’s Fate Ladder Match: Raven vs. Larry Zybsko’s Hand Picked Opponent
Raven wont be leaving
Revenge Of The Outlaws: The New Age Outlaws & ?????? vs. Konnan, Apolo, and ??????
The Outlaws and Im guessing Sean Waltman will launch a new DX and a win here is the way to go about doing that if you want to make an impact.
Roderick Strong vs. Austin Aries
Could go either way but I'll go with Aries
Team Canada vs. The Naturals
The Naturals need this win alot more then Team Canada

Re: TNA: Changing The Face Of Pro Wrestling
January 15th 2006
I had been at the arena for about 2 hours before workers started to arrive. Not much went on, I just sat in the office and tried to think of the good and the bad of tonight. I knew it was all for not though because anything could happen tonight. I left the office and greeted people as they entered until I ran into my best friend.
Jarrett: Lambert, congratulations on making it to your first PPV
Me: Thanks, that means a lot coming from you
Jarrett: Don’t let it go to your head. If it were up to me you would have never started here.
Me: Ok Jeff, it’s been one month and every time I see you, you’re on my case. What’s the deal?
Jarrett: I didn’t want some internet geek running a top wrestling promotion
Me: Why? Feel threatened?
Jarrett: Ha. No kid threatens me
Me: Face it Jeff. You didn’t want me coming here because you knew that I would threaten your power. Everything was fine for you before I came here. You got what matches you wanted, you wrestled whom you wanted, and you got the belt when you wanted. I come in and put you in a 10 man gimmick match against legit titleholders and to top it all off, I bring in a huge star. Oh but it gets worse doesn’t it Jeff? I become good friends with Christian Cage and now you feel even more threatened. But here me out on this one Jeff, you shouldn’t feel threatened. You see, as much as I don’t like you, I respect you. I respect what you’ve done in this company up until now and I respect what you do in the ring. And if I really hated you that much, I would have had you drop the belt this month, but no, I’m building the big blow off match so when you finally lose the crowd goes ape shit. And then what do I do with you? Well it depends on whom you drop the belt to. If you lose to Sting, I’ll feud you with Christian and if you lose to Christian, I’ll feud you with Sting. Either way you’re still in a high profile feud and no title is needed. Now, is this making any sense at all to you Jeff?
What went on after that stays between Jeff and I. Are we the best friends? No, but we aren’t mortal enemies anymore either. After that, I went in the locker room and talked things over with some guys before I called everyone’s attention.
Me: Hey guys, listen up real fast. Calm down for a few ok? Ok, now I know this isn’t your first go round but it is mine and it is the first PPV of 2006. First off I just want to thank everyone for working hard this past month. As for tonight I just want to say that if anything goes wrong in your match, work around it and don’t lose your cool. Also if anyone has a problem with your match, come talk to me and we will work things out ok? Everyone just go out there and put on a show for the people here tonight, the people watching at home, the people reading online, and most importantly, yourself.
I stepped down after that and some told me it was a nice speech. Luckily for me, nobody came up to me to address their match. I hope that means everyone is cool with everything. Now there was only one thing left to do, sit back and enjoy the PPV.
My Comments: Only thing left to do is the PPV Promo (which will be done tonight or tomorrow) and then the PPV it self (I hope to have that done by next weekend at the latest). Keep the predictions coming in and if you didn't pick match winners, please do.
