So I finished reviewing the Impact show and brainstormed some new ideas. During that time, the phone rang.
Me: Hello
Christian: Hey man, what’s going on?
Me: Not much, just reviewing impact
Christian: You review the show you book and know what you’ve already done? Odd
Me: Some would say that’s odd, others would say that having long hair, wearing big sunglasses, and playing a kazoo is odd
Christian: Touché. Listen, a buddy just called me up and he said that he wants to work for a wrestling company
Me: So WWE is out of the question
Christian: Exactly
Me: I don’t know about this though. Right now the Main Event scene looks like a 14 car wreck at Bristol
Christian: Huh?
Me: Damn Canadians. The Main Event scene looks like a 6 on 5 powerplay because some team is down a goal so they pulled the goaltender for an extra attacker
Christian: Oh, 11 men and a goalie all in one little zone
Me: Exactly
Christian: Gotcha. But seriously, you bring this man in and I can promise you 3 things.
Me: I’m listening
Christian: The ratings will jump over the 1.0 mark, which means you can negotiate with SpikeTV for a better time slot
Me: I like that, but that’s why we brought in Sting
Christian: Ok, you bring this man in and Vince McMahon will take us serious. I know you don’t have a life and you watch Raw every Monday, you’ve seen him say that “There’s no where else to go.” You bring in this man, he won’t be saying that.
Me: I like that idea, but making Vince McMahon paranoid isn’t my goal
Christian: Ok, I saved the best for last. You bring this man in and Jeff Jarrett will throw a bitch fit that will rival Bret Hart
Me: Bingo. Ok, so how do I contact this man?
Christian: He’s going to call me sometime this week with a time and a place
Me: Sounds good. Now, who is the major acquisition you’re talking about?
Christian: What major acquisition?

Very Mature.

Re: TNA: Changing The Face Of Pro Wrestling
I havent read a BTB since I stopped booking back in the fall of 04. This is the most unique thread Ive read. Im loving the interation between you and Christian. I cant stand Jarrett either, but it seems like your making him look like too much of a whinny bitch. It just doesnt seem all that believable.
The Hell on Earth match is creative. You have the on air characters down pefectly. I dont know how many times I thought to myself, "thats so ____" after reading a line of a promo. Very well done. Im looking forward to seeing who Raven's opponent is and who Christian is talking about. Im sure you wont disapoint.

Re: TNA: Changing The Face Of Pro Wrestling
Yeah I do make Jarrett look pretty bad and I do try to piss him off but that's because of my first convo with him when he said he didn't want me booking the show and what not. Somebody has to play the backstage heel, Jarrett just seemed like a perfect fit.
Glad to see the comments increasing and glad to see people enjoying the concept. Impact preview will probably be up tomorrow, tonight if I decide to end my laziness.

Re: TNA: Changing The Face Of Pro Wrestling
This is a great BTB but what people must understand is that people really need to stop praising you. This really isn't that unique of a thread, only on W-E it is... Many other BTB's out there like this but still, keep up the good work.

I agree with that. It's not like I just made the idea up on my own. If you go to any EWR/TEW message board there's a bunch like it. But hey, I'll take the praise however I can get it.

Re: TNA: Changing The Face Of Pro Wrestling
From TNAWrestling.Com:
1/7 iMPACT! Preview
Last week on Impact, The Man In Black returned to wrestling. Sting showed up at the end of Impact to the surprise of everyone, including Team Jarrett. Will Sting show up again on Impact this week?
In this weeks Main Event, Jeff Jarrett teams with Monty Brown to take on Team 3-D. That’s not all as Christian Cage will join Mine Tenay and Don West on commentary.
Also in action this week, X Division Champion Samoa Joe takes on newcomer Jay Lethal. Will Christopher Daniels be at ringside show up and try to get into Joe’s head just before Final Resolution?
In tag team action, The New Age Outlaws return to the ring to take on former NWA Tag Champions, Team Canada. Will the Outlaws make a successful return to the tag team ranks or will Team Canada slow them down before they get started?
Also we will hear from Raven and his thoughts on Larry Zybsko and who Zybsko could possibly pick to face Raven at Final Resolution.
ALL THIS AND MORE SATURDAY AT 11 PM ON SPIKETV!

I snoop around The Battleground from time to time.
To keep this on topic, Impact will be up pretty soon most likely tomorrow (depending on how much I feel like watching RAW tonight)
