Re: TNA: Changing The Face Of Pro Wrestling

A night of roll ups:
*The New Crew over Daniels/Lethal: Good back and fourth action but I was no fan of the finish. On one hand, it showed that Lethal couldnít save Daniels from a simple school boy which should make Daniels mad. On the other hand, it was weak. The New Crew are going places and Daniels/Lethal could be going opposite places.
*Michaels Promo: First off, Funk was the first guy I wanted. If that didnít pan out, I was going to call Foley or Sandman. If those didnít work, Dreamer and Sabu were in my back pocket. Still, I got the man I wanted and if you think Funk doesnít have it anymore, trust me when I tell you that heís willing to do anything to make Michaels look like a million bucks. Michaels also came off perfect with the shocked to cocky look. Come on, what 20 year old kid doesnít think they can beat a 60 year old man in a fight?
*Naturals over AMW: Hey look, another roll up ending. This one fit a bit better though at The Naturals were dominated in the late stages and needed Stacy to help with the win. I also booked it because it kept AMW strong but through the swerve as most people suspected AMW to win. Now Iíve got to figure out what to do with the tag division heading into Lockdown.
*Bischoff Promo: Bischoff cleared things up and then announced Joe/Shelley for the PPV. Joe was great in his role of saying nothing and Bischoff was great in selling the threat.
*Jarrett Promo: Good stuff from Jarrett and he sold his mystery partner well. I still donít know the long term effect of bringing this guy in, but for now, itís good for business.
*Raven over Rhino: Good brawl but possibly too short. Still, Rhino is coming off a hellacious Monsters Ball so he wasnít fully 100 percent. Sting and Raven isnít over and if you thought that I didnít build War Games aside from the promosÖyouíre wrong.
Overall it was a solid episode but some things are still missing. No build to Christian vs. Abyss, which should be the most built match. Also thereís been no sign of AJ or Skipper since Destination X, thatís got to change. The only thing I can say in my defense is that the period between Destination X and Lockdown is a grand total of 6 episodes of Impact, probably the longest break all year, so thereís plenty of time for build.
My Comments: Ok, Iím going to give credit where credit is due and announce that SIAG was the one who booked Shelley/Joe Ladder Match at Lockdown. It was his perk for winning the prediction contest (AOA contest I believe). See kids, you actually get to take part in the BTB if you win the contest. So you can thank him for making the match. Also, I didnít pick the War Games teams another, that was another prediction winner so if you donít like them, donít blame me. Next post will probably be tomorrow (unless Raw is boring) and it will be backstage at Impact.
