Re: TNA: Changing The Face Of Pro Wrestling
March 20th 2006
Backstage at Impact Tapings
I actually arrived with the boys to the tapings this time. I headed in the locker room and met with the Hardcore Icon. I figured it was a good idea to get him in and build the feud instead of going the mystery opponent route at Lockdown.
Me: All those ass kickingís you took and youíre back for another one?
________: Yeah, but this will probably be my last.
Me: Well Iím glad you chose us to receive the ass kicking.
________: Might as well put over who I can.
Me: Well itís nice to have you for the month. Just take it easy until the PPV, then you can kill yourself.
We talked for a bit after that about his career. He brought up a lot of memories and a lot of previous storylines he was in. I thought about some of them and pondered if they would work with this feud. This could make the career of Shane Michaels. Jeff Jarrett approached me once I was done talking with ________
Jarrett: Listen, this war games idea is great, but I got the man who can put it over the top.
Me: Iím listening
Jarrett: Before I get started, I want to bring him in on my team. It will be a bigger deal that way.
Me: Well who are we talking about here?
Jarrett told me about the guy he wanted to bring in. I ran down a list of pros and cons about the guy. I gave Jeff the green light to negotiate the deal as the pros outweighed the cons in the short run. As for the long run, I donít see him lasting that long. After that, I ran down the card for tonight and made some last minute adjustments.
