Re: TNA: Changing The Face Of Pro Wrestling

Impact review

A good opening promo with tension growing between Bischoff and Jarrett with Bischoff giving Abyss the title shot instead of Jarrett, abyss v Christian should be a good match for Lockdown.

A good Tag Match to open the wrestling side of Impact and good win for Aries and Strong getting a victory over two experienced wrestlers, and if they keep like this i see them having a title match sooner or later.

Intresting promo there, and with the problems those two are having it looks like Daniels might turn on Lethal.

A good first title defense for Shelley beating Dutt, which was not that suprising as Shelley has just won the title and it is far too early for him to lose it.

Nice segment with the Dudleyz and AMW and was funny seeing the Dudley references. Looks like AMW will have their rematch with the Dudleyz at Lockdown.

Great main event and i liked the fact that you got Jericho to cut a promo while in his match. Big news about the Wargames match and i am sure that will be a great match. Good ending with Jarrett and Abyss attacking Jericho and then Christian coming out to make the save

Overall it was a very enjoyable impact and Lockdown is building up to be a great card.

Lockdown looks great.... My only concern is are you doign a World X Cup

I mean to live my life an obedient man, but obedient to God, subservient to the wisdom of my ancestors; never to the authority of political truths arrived at yesterday at the voting booth.

Nah, at least, not at this moment. I've pretty much booked all the way up to Slammiversary and the World X Cup just doesn't fit in right now. I may do it after Slammiversary but I don't have plans for it right now.

Re: TNA: Changing The Face Of Pro Wrestling

March 16th 2006

Welcome to Wednesdayís:

*Jarrett/Bischoff Promo: Solid enough to open the show. It accomplished the point of setting up the Abyss/Christian match at Lockdown and Jarrett being screwed over once again.

*Strong & Aries over The Outlaws: Did The Outlaws even get in a move on offense? This match was just a showcase match for Aries & Strong as they are my next big tag team. Jerry Lynn will be the glue that holds everything together for these guys.

*Daniels/Lethal Promo: Just more of Daniels mentoring Lethal and keeping his confidence up.

*Michaels Promo: Heís really taken this gimmick and run with it. Sure itís nothing more than a Shawn Michaels rip off but he has really adopted it and made it his own. It sucks that I couldnít do anything special for him at Lockdown but his mystery opponent should make up for it.

*Shelley over Dutt: Good back and fourth action but everyone knew Shelley was going to win this. The ending was pretty cool and it just shows that if you make a mistake, Shelley will capitalize and win the match.

*3-D/AMW Promo: Yes, this feud will end at Lockdown. I just felt their match at Destination X wasnít everything these 4 men could do so adding the cage would spice it up a bit. Team 3-D continues to be the kings of WWE cheap shots but I thought it worked well in this situation.

*Jericho over Abyss: Was I high when I booked this? Honestly, Abyss got no offense in which is not good when Iím trying to put him over as the monster that can defeat Christian. Jericho cutting the promo in the middle of the match was also an odd decision. I wonít say it didnít work well because he made it work but I donít know why I did it. The war games match should be fun and two six sided rings gives the set up crew a little more work. The ending brawl to this match was a good way to go.

Overall it was a solid Impact but lacked in a lot of key areas. I gave everyone in the Monsters Ball and Ultimate X (excluding Shelley) matches the night off due to their hard work, which might have been a mistake. A decent Wednesday Night debut but could have been so much more.

My Comments: Backstage at Impact could be up sometime today but I donít know at this moment. So yeah, I guess thatís it.

Re: TNA: Changing The Face Of Pro Wrestling

March 20th 2006

Backstage at Impact Tapings

I actually arrived with the boys to the tapings this time. I headed in the locker room and met with the Hardcore Icon. I figured it was a good idea to get him in and build the feud instead of going the mystery opponent route at Lockdown.

Me: All those ass kickingís you took and youíre back for another one?

________: Yeah, but this will probably be my last.

Me: Well Iím glad you chose us to receive the ass kicking.

________: Might as well put over who I can.

Me: Well itís nice to have you for the month. Just take it easy until the PPV, then you can kill yourself.

We talked for a bit after that about his career. He brought up a lot of memories and a lot of previous storylines he was in. I thought about some of them and pondered if they would work with this feud. This could make the career of Shane Michaels. Jeff Jarrett approached me once I was done talking with ________

Jarrett: Listen, this war games idea is great, but I got the man who can put it over the top.

Me: Iím listening

Jarrett: Before I get started, I want to bring him in on my team. It will be a bigger deal that way.

Me: Well who are we talking about here?

Jarrett told me about the guy he wanted to bring in. I ran down a list of pros and cons about the guy. I gave Jeff the green light to negotiate the deal as the pros outweighed the cons in the short run. As for the long run, I donít see him lasting that long. After that, I ran down the card for tonight and made some last minute adjustments.

Show Results For 3/22:

*Homicide & Killings defeat Daniels & Lethal

*The Naturals defeat AMW

*Raven defeats Rhino
