For the record, Impact will be up tomorrow.

It's not only Hockey at the moment, it's pretty much my entire day. I go to school until 2, go to work until 7, and watch hockey until late. I could give up some hockey to type out stuff but I choose not to because it's the playoffs.

Vince McMahon would never say screw Raw, football is on because Vince McMahon doesn't sit at his keyboard and type out the entire show word for word, he jots ideas on a napkin and says "get to it".

NHL Playoffs just appeal to me more than thinking about an entire Jeff Jarrett interview, sorry. And yes, I'm extremely happy that the Avs are up 3-0 because all the stupid ESPN Hockey "experts" said this series wouldnt go past 6 games in favor of the Stars.

From TNAWrestling.Com:

3/15 iMPACT! Preview

The fall out from Destination X all goes down this week on Impact. After taking the loss for his team in the Main Event, Chris Jericho gets a rematch against the man who pinned him, Abyss. Can Chris Jericho overcome the odds with bad ribs or will Abyss once again expose the weakness of Jericho?

Also in action, the New X Division Champion, Alex Shelley will make his first title defense against Sonjay Dutt. Can Alex Shelley carry the belt into the weekend or will Sonjay make him a transitional champion?

Opposites attract in tag team action on Impact. At Destination X, The Degenerates took a parking lot beating against the New Crew. The Outlaws looks to turn things around as they take on the team of Austin Aries and Roderick Strong, coming off their huge win against Daniels & Lethal.

Also on Impact, we will hear from Jeff Jarrett, Shane Michaels, and Team 3-D.

ALL THIS AND MORE THIS WEDNESDAY AT 9 PM ON SPIKETV!

My Comments: Show will be up tonight or tomorrow. I'm honestly not in the wrestling mood right now as playoff hockey is more interesting. But yeah, it will be up by tomorrow at the latest, sorry for the lack of production over the past week.

March 15th 2006

TNA iMPACT! On SpikeTV

“This Is TNA…The New Face In Professional Wrestling”

::A video plays recapping Destination X. Highlights from all matches are included and the video ends with Jarrett posing with the NWA World Title::

::The Impact Opening Video plays::

::The camera goes to the Impact Zone where pyro goes off and the fans are chanting “TNA”::

Tenay: Folks welcome to TNA Impact on SpikeTV and boys, what do you think of the Wednesday night move?

West: Oh Tenay it’s great, back to the roots of TNA in the Asylum.

::”My World” hits to a chorus of boos. Jeff Jarrett, Abyss, and Jim Mitchell step in to the arena. Jarrett has a huge smile on his face as he makes his way down the ramp::

Tenay: Well here comes the winning team in the Main Event at Destination X and I would presume that Abyss is here to hand his title shot over to Jeff Jarrett.

Styles: Which should be illegal as Abyss got the pin and NOT Jeff Jarrett last night.

::Borash hands Jarrett a mic as everyone gets in the ring::

Jarrett: Ha Ha Ha. Christian Cage and Chris Jericho went into the Main Event on Sunday telling jokes, laughing it up, playing with each other, and a combined unit. They came out of the Main Event, losers. Christian Cage, at Lockdown, I once again become the king of the mountain. Abyss, Jim Mitchell, I thank you both for your hard work and dedication to Planet Jarrett and when I defeat Christian Cage at Lockdown, Abyss, you will be the first man to face me for the NWA World Title.

::Jarrett and Mitchell shake hands as “I’m Back” hits to a mixed reaction. Eric Bischoff steps onto the top of the ramp with a mic in hand::

Bischoff: Jeff Jarrett, I don’t know why you think you’re facing Christian Cage at Lockdown. As I remember, I said whoever won the match for his team, would face Christian Cage. Abyss pinned Chris Jericho, not you.

Jarrett: Maybe you still have some garbage stuck in your ears due to your last appearance up north, but did you not hear when I stated that Abyss would hand over his title shot if he won? Well he won and handed over his title shot. Do you understand that?

Bischoff: I understand it, but that doesn’t mean it’s happening. You see Jeff, if I break the rules for you, I have to break the rules for everyone, and we all know that I’m not a rule breaker. Instead Jeff, it will be Abyss taking on Christian Cage for the NWA World Title at Lockdown. As for you, well since I like you so much, I thought I would give you a special match. But I’m not going to announce that match tonight, oh no, you’ll have to wait until next week to hear what I have planned for you. So sweat it out, call your sources to see if they have any information, check the internet, do what you have to do to find out what I have in store for you. But just be prepared for…war…at Lockdown.

::”I’m Back” hits as Jarrett is visibly upset in the ring. The scene fades out::

Commercials

::We return to see Aries, Strong, and The Outlaws already in the ring::

Strong turns the drop toe hold into an STF on Kip. Aries runs, bounces off the ropes, and connects with a dropkick to the face of Kip. Strong releases the STF. Aries rolls Kip over and makes the cover. 1…….2…..BG grabs the leg of Aries and pull him to the outside. BG unloads with a series of punches on Aries on the outside. Tenay: I don’t know what has gotten into Austin Aries and Roderick Strong but they look like a completely new team as they are just dominating The Outlaws.

Aries picks up Kip and tosses him to the outside. Aries gets on the apron and back into his corner. Strong picks up BG and scoop slams him down to the mat. Strong turns BG over on his stomach and puts him in a camel clutch. Aries enters the ring, runs, and connects with a dropkick to the face of BG. Strong turns the camel clutch into the coquina clutch. Strong turns BG over and locks him in with the Strong Hold. Aries quickly goes to the top turnbuckle. Aries leaps and connects with a diving head butt on the shoulder of BG. BG taps out to the Strong Hold.

Winners – Austin Aries & Roderick Strong

Tenay: I don’t know what the hell has gotten into Aries and Strong, but they have seemed like a new team in the past two matches.
After the match, Jerry Lynn walks onto the ramp and applauds the effort of Aries and Strong. He nods his head in approval.

Styles: That just might be your answer.

Commercials

::We return to see Jay Lethal and Christopher Daniels in the locker room::

Daniels: Kid, just get over it. It’s not how many times you lose, it’s how many times you come back from a loss and continue to compete. Now next week I asked Eric Bischoff if we could take on The New Crew and he agreed. So by next week, your attitude better change from depressed to ass kicking, understand?

Lethal: I just feel like I let the team down. If I had held on for 1 more second, we would have won.

Daniels: Don’t worry about it ok? Your attitude better change by next week or we are going to continue to lose. You have to have a winning mentality, trust me, I am the longest reigning X Division champion because I knew that I would win each and every match.

Lethal: Next week, I’ll be ready.

Daniels: That’s what I like to hear.

::The scene cuts to Shane Douglas in the back with Shane Michaels, Traci, and Lance Hoyt::

Douglas: Shane Michaels, at Destination X you outlasted Chris Sabin 2 to 1 in a 30 minute Iron Man Match.

Michaels: Whoa whoa whoa there Shane Douglas. Outlasted? I could have lasted another 3 hours against Chris Sabin but he was clearly beat after 30 minutes. See Shane, I did exactly what I said I was going to do at Destination X. I proved to everyone that I was the showstopper, the icon, the main event. But Destination X is in the past and Lockdown is the future. You see, my uncle won the first ever Hell In A Cell Match when he defeated some no selling dead guy. Well at Lockdown, I will master the 6 Sides Of Steel. Since TNA is afraid of what I might do to a man in a true Hell In A Cell match, they are sticking me in a regular 6 Sides Of Steel Match. But whatever, I’ll handle whatever TNA throws at me.

Douglas: Well Shane, rumor has it that Eric Bischoff is bringing in a hardcore icon for your match at Lockdown.

Michaels: A hardcore icon? Like who? The drunken Sandman or the book writing Foley? How about you Shane Douglas, weren’t you a former ECW World Champion?

Douglas: Well you know The Franchise…

Michaels: …You’re not the Franchise of anything. You’ve worked in every company possible and never got past the mid card, and trust me when I tell you; the main event in ECW was the mid card. As I was saying, let TNA bring in a Hardcore Icon, I’ll destroy him and send him back to the unemployment line. Lets go guys.

::Michaels, Traci, and Hoyt walk off camera as the scene fades::

Commercials

::We return to see Sonjay Dutt already in the ring as “Shell Shock” hits to a chorus of boos. Alex Shelley steps into the arena with the X Division title around his waist and the Shelley Cam::

Tenay: Well here comes the new X Division Champion Alex Shelley and boys, I know he worked hard for that belt but many are questioning his win.

Styles: That’s right Tenay, he didn’t win the belt by scaling the X Wires, he climbed a ladder to take the belt from Samoa Joe.

::Shelley sets up the Shelley Cam then gets in the ring. Shelley takes off the X Division title and hands it to an outside worker::

X Division Title Match: Alex Shelley © vs. Sonjay Dutt

Commercials

::We return to see Shane Douglas with Team 3-D and Stacy Keibler::

Douglas: This past Sunday at Destination X, Team 3-D finally captured the one belt missing from their collection in tag team history.

Ray: That’s right Shane Douglas, the stars are aligning in TNA. Team 3-D finally got what they deserved and Stacy Keibler is back as the Duchess Of Dud…

Devon: ….Hold there Ray, you can’t say that word or you know who will bust out the legal action. Remember, there are no more Dudl…

Ray: Whoa whoa whoa, if I can’t say it, you can’t say it. AMW, you boys walked into Destination X with your cocky attitude and your asian whore thinking we would be just another team in the loss column on your record. You boys figured you would once again cheat your way to victory and reclaim the NWA World Tag Team Titles. Well you under-estimated our biggest asset….our brains. Just because I st….st….st….stuttered for half my career, doesn’t mean I’m completely retarded. See, we knew that you guys would try to cheat us out of the belts, so we had back up plan. We brought out in a good friend of ours and the longest legs in the wrestling business.

::AMW and Gail Kim walk into the scene::

Harris: Boys, I give you some credit, you’re not as dumb as you act or look. But make no mistake about it, you’re just holding onto those belts because we got tired of lugging them around, just like we were tired of carrying you two fat asses at Destination X. We talked to Eric Bischoff and he told us that he would invoke our rematch clause at Lockdown if we defeated The Naturals next week. So start preparing now because we are going to walk….no, dance through the Naturals like that little pop star danced through Stacy.

Storm: At Lockdown Team 3-D, sorry ‘bout your damn luck.

::The scene cuts to the Impact Zone where “Black Hole” hits to a chorus of boos. Abyss walks out with Jim Mitchell::

Tenay: Well folks it’s time for our main event and a revenge match of sorts for Chris Jericho.

West: That’s right Tenay at Destination X, Jericho lost the match for his team against this man, the man that will face Christian Cage at Lockdown, Abyss.

::Abyss gets into the ring as the lights go out in the arena. BOOM! “Break The Walls Down” hits to a huge reaction. Chris Jericho steps into the arena with his ribs still bandaged up::

Tenay: Well here comes a still less than 100 percent Chris Jericho

Styles: And folks don’t go anywhere because we be right back with our main event.

Commercials

Abyss vs. Chris Jericho

We return to see Jericho and Abyss slugging it out in the middle of the ring.

Tenay: Well during the break this match started and it was a brawl from the very start as Abyss attacked Jericho before he even got in the ring.

Jericho and Abyss continue to trade punches in the middle of the ring. Jericho gains the advantage and backs up Abyss with a series of punches. Jericho clotheslines Abyss over the top rope and to the outside. The momentum carries Jericho over with Abyss. Jericho mounts Abyss and starts firing off a series of punches to his head. Mitchell sneaks up behind Jericho with his cane. Jericho turns around and sees Mitchell. Mitchell drops the cane and runs from Jericho. Jericho begins chasing Mitchell but stops and turns his attention back to Abyss. Jericho walks over and picks up the cane. Abyss gets up to his feet. Jericho levels Abyss with the cane in the stomach. Jericho then breaks the cane on the back of Abyss. Jericho stomps on the fallen Abyss. Jericho picks up Abyss and shoots him into the guardrail. Abyss goes back first into the railing. Jericho grabs a sign that says “iMPACT! Is Jericho”. Jericho then grabs a chair from the same fan. Jericho places the sign in the chair and level Abyss over with head with the chair. Jericho hands the chair and the sign back to the fan. Jericho slides into the ring and plays to the crowd as Abyss slowly gets up on the outside. Abyss climbs up onto the ring apron. Jericho runs, springs off the middle turnbuckle, and connects with a dropkick on Abyss that sends him back to the outside. Jericho gets up and continues to play to the crowd. Jericho asks for a mic. Borash hands him a mic from the outside.

Tenay: What the hell he is doing?

Jericho: WELCOME TO…IMPACT IS JERICHO!!!!!!

The crowd cheers and starts chanting “Y2J”

Jericho: Now since I am the king of multi-tasking I figured why not beat the living hell out of Abyss, cut a promo, and entertain everyone at this arena and watching at home, all at the same time. Jeff Jarrett, I won’t make you wait until next week for the big announcement.

Abyss slowly climbs back up to the ring apron.

Jericho: At Lockdown it will be…hold on….

Jericho smashes the mic into the head of Abyss causing him to fall back down to the floor.

Jericho: As I was saying, At Lockdown it will be your team, team Jeff Jackoffs, against my team, team Ayatollah Of Rock…N…ROLLA! In a little match that the fat man used to call…WAR GAMES!!!!! But see Jeff, this isn’t going to be held in one ring.

Abyss gets back up on the apron.

Jericho: Damnit.

Jericho smashes the mic over the head of Abyss once again. Abyss slumps back to the outside.

Jericho: No, you see, for the entire night at Lockdown there will be two rings but only one will contain a cage. And after Christian Cage defends his NWA Title against the freak on the outside, we will take the cage down, and lower a larger cage over the two rings. So Jeff, get your team together because I already have mine.

Jarrett runs out from the back. Jarrett runs down the ramp and slides in the ring. Jarrett gets up and is met with a punch from Jericho. Jarrett and Jericho trade punches in the middle of the ring. Abyss slides in the ring and attacks Jericho from behind. Abyss and Jarrett stomp on the fallen Jericho as the ref signals for the bell.

Winner – Chris Jericho

Jarrett and Abyss continue to stomp on the bandaged ribs of Jericho. Christian runs out of from the back. Christian runs down the ramp and slides in the ring as Jarrett and Abyss bail out of the ring. Christian checks on Jericho as the scene fades out.

End Show

Opening segment was decent but that probably didn't even last five minutes, hate to say it but it is the truth. Definently should have been longer and I see we get Cage vs Abyss at Lockdown similar to real life which is no real problem and should be a great match!

Decent match with the team of Aries and Strong taking the win over the Outlaws and I hope these teams don't feud. I don't think I'd like this feud if they do because it's a mix of styles. Anyways wonder what Jerry Lynn was doing out on the ramp?

Daniels and Lethal seem to be having some problems? Uh, another intresting tag match next week in Daniels and Lethal vs The New Crew. I see some dissension coming down the line leading to an Daniels heel turn and an awesome match come Lockdown!

Shane Michaels is in the building and well, nice little interview there talking about Hell in a Cell and this has been a nice renactment of Shawn Michaels's carrer. Don't really know who the Hardcore Legend is going to be but obviously someone Michaels has faced

X-Division action and Dutt dominates the most of the first part of the match but Shelley's showing some comeback. Dutt put on a great match but fell short in the end to the Shell Shock and I've got to wonder who Shelley will face at Lockdown

Haha funny little segment with Team 3-D using the Dudley references and Stacy Keibler is in the house. AMW vs The Naturals next week will be awesome and we'll be seeing AMW vs Team 3-D most likely come Lockdown to settle the war

Main Event time and more like an brawl. War Games coming at Lockdown! Holy shit and I can't wait to see this! Don't really know who will be on both teams but I'm sure it's going to be an allout war either way and most likely match of the night

Matches/Booking: Great matches for an Impact. None were rediculously long. 9/10

Promos: Good promos, all wrestlers seemed in character. 10/10

Spelling/Grammer: Saw nothing. 10/10

Entertainment: Was entertained throughout. That whole bit at the end with Jericho doing a promo and wrestling at the same time got a laugh out of me. 9/10

Length: 7 pages is great for a normal show. 9/10

Overall: 90/100 Great Impact. I haven't really reviewed this thread but have read and let me say, this is a very good thread and considering how TNA threads usually die out quickly, you've done a great job of keeping this thread alive and well. Nice show.

Very good job with Impact. The tension between Bischoff and Jarrett is growing weekly, nice job with the segment. Christian/Abyss at LockDown, OK.

Good tag match, I was a little surprised to see Aries and Strong go over, but I guess you have big plans for them. Jerry Lynn again, whats goin on there?

I wouldnt be surprised to see Daniels turn heel sometime soon and end up facing Lethal at LockDown.

So Michaels is gonna just be in a Six Sides of Steel? I wonder which Hardcore Icon you're gonna bring in for LockDown to face Michaels. Ive got a guess, but Ill keep it to myself for now.

Pretty good match with Shelley and Dutt, nothing spectacular but it kept my attention.

Nice segment with the Dudleyz and AMW. Usually I dont like you're WWE cheap shots, but this time it was funny. For the love of God, end this feud at LockDown.

Arguably your most entertaining Main Event Ever. Jericho cutting a promo while facing Abyss. Gold, just gold. And it was so Jericho too, great stuff. A big ole cage at LockDown, I like it. Wonder who Jericho and Jerkey are gonna pick on thier teams.
