lol, I know (based on your lol, I could sense sarcasm). Just letting you know that I was going to make it worse than it was.

Re: TNA: Changing The Face Of Pro Wrestling

March 13th 2006

Backstage At Impact Tapings

So I decided to stay at the arena after the blow up with Jarrett. I felt it would be best if I just avoided him throughout the tapings. We of course are changing our taping format with the move to Wednesday. Also we decided that taping 1 show a week would be easier on the booking instead of two. Since we just got done with a PPV, I figure I would check the internet for some news.

*ECW One Night Stand 2 set to take place

I donít understand this logic. Last years event was very good but doing it again with even less ECW talent is a huge mistake I think. They donít have ECW alumni like Raven, Sabu, Team 3-D, Rhino, and others due to their contracts with us. You factor in that Dreamer could possibly no show due to his prior relationship with us and youíve eliminated all but RVD from the known ECW talent. Sure they could bring in Foley, Funk, and Sandman but those guys are so past it that I donít know if this will work. Good luck to them but I really donít like this move.

*WWE signs Harry Smith

Iíve heard good things about this kid but have yet to see him work. Heís related to Bret and Bulldog so there canít be too much wrong with him. I wish him luck and credit WWE for signing this kid before us.

*Tyson Tomko asks for release

I donít have any plans on bringing him in but you had to see this coming. Once Chistian left, there was nothing for Tomko to do. Best of luck to him in the future.

Thatís all of the important notes from the internet.

I headed into the locker room as the guys were getting ready. Chris Jericho was quick to come up to me.

Jericho: I got you an in.

Me: Huh?

Jericho: At Wrestlemania, I got you a backstage pass as a ďreporterĒ.

Me: How did you manage that?

Jericho: I still have my ins in WWE, donít worry about it. I also talked to the guy you wanted to bring in and I told him that you would be at Wrestlemania. Just tell him your name is Jason Carter and he should know who you are.

Me: What kind of a name is Jason Carter?

Jericho: I donít know, shut up, it sounded nice.

Me: Thanks man, I owe you one.

Well, nothing could ruin my night from there.

Results for the 3/15 Show:

*Aries & Strong over Outlaws

*Shelley over Dutt

*Jericho over Abyss

Re: TNA: Changing The Face Of Pro Wrestling

Destination X Review:

Pre-show match: Your pre-shows are always fun to read and this was no different. Both teams looked strong and it was just a basic tag match, but a basic tag match is great and needed to show off talent. Good back and forth until Team Canada fought back hard at the end and Petey hit the Canadian Destroyer, winning the match. I really like how you usually make both opponents in the match look strong and no push-over, really puts over talent well. 8/10

Daniels and Lethal vs Strong and Aries- Another solid tag team match and again both teams look strong. Daniels and Lethal just dominate Strong for the first part of the match, Aries and Strong dominate Lethal for the second part of the match, and all hell breaks loose towards the end. Cool spot with Aries breaking the Koji Clutch with his 450 splash. All the men are down, they barely get to their feet, Angels Wings on Aries and Strong Hold on Lethal. 1....2.....Lethal taps out! That was one of the coolest match endings ever, with Daniels/Lethal almost picking up the win. Glad to see Aries and Strong starting to get pushed and I can see them wearing tag team gold soon. 9/10

Parking Lot Brawl- Not much to say here other than great match and well written. It was just an all out hardcore brawl and those are always fun to watch after a few good wrestling matches. The end amazed me, Cop Killa off the truck to the concrete. I hope this feud is over so Konnan and Homicide can move on to bigger and better things. Well written, cool spot, pretty good match. 7/10

3-D vs AMW- Great tag team action, AMW using heel tactics like thumbs to the eye. It was kind of short, but that's okay, because it gives time to more important matches like the UX. I loved the CATFIIIIGHT line by Styles. The end didn't surprise me with 3-D picking up the win, but I just don't see 3-D with the belts for long. They don't seem like a 'championship' team and I hope a young team like Aries/Strong get the belts soon. 7/10

Jarret/Mitchel segment- Wow. Just wow. Captured their characters really well which is hard to do with James Mitchell. Nicely done and good to see the big heels teaming up and creating alliances. Hyped up the main event well. 9/10

Sabin vs Michaels- Iron Man matches are hard to do, because you have to take into effect how tired someone may be after this amount of time, but you did it well. They didn't seem to show much fatigue for a while, but that didn't bring the match down much. Also didn't seem like 30 minutes, but I understand you don't have to make it that long because you can get it all done in less words and stuff. I like how neither man got a fall for a good 20 minutes, making both of them look very strong. AWESOME spot having Michaels use the X-Wire for the Picture Perfect Elbow and then having Sabin springboard into the Sweet Shane Music. Overall just very exciting match and awesome ending, Shane tapping out right after the buzzer went off. Thank you for pushing Bentley/Michaels, but Sabin came off strong so he didn't lose any overness. 10/10, really great stuff.

Monsters Ball- Good way to open it, having Sabu just throw the chair at Monty. This started off really fast paced and surprised me. Sabu seemed to be getting the most offense and just using that chair of his to the fullest. Monty goes through the table, and I love Styles saying that he's the first but not the last to eat table. Just some insane action, lighter fluid on 4 stacked tables with thumbtacks....and a Rhino Driver on Monty through the tables! Then Sabu comes in with the Arabian Facebuster using the barbed wire chair! Holy Shit! Sabu picks up the win which I expected, but I actually think this is a bad move. Sabu is at the end of his career and won't be winning any titles soon (unless a Hardcore Title is introduced) and is just there for hardcore matches and putting talent over in my opinion. Either way, very well written and this match was extremely exciting. 10/10

Shelley segment- Awesome. Shelley just attacks each of his opponents acting like a total heel, and I love the comments about Joe, I actually 'lol'd' at it. Hyped the UX match which I'm looking foward to the most. 8/10

Raven vs Sting- I like Sting getting the advantage in the beginning in order to show that he still has it in him, but going against Raven with a hurt ankle made the winner a clear choice. Not a long match, but I assume it's to help sell that Sting worked with a hurt ankle and I see a rematch soon, especially since Raven won by cheating. 7/10

Ultimate X Match- MATCH OF THE FUCKING NIGHT! It's incredible the way you write a 4 man match and it doesn't get confusing. You had some actual wrestling moves between the wrestlers combined with awesome spots like the X Wire Styles Clash and the X Wire Shell Shock, two moves that I would love to see so much at an UX match. You really should go book for TNA, the ratings would skyrocket. I just have nothing else to say on this match except fucking amazing. I love Shelley winning and its cool having Shelley outsmart everyone by knocking Joe off the ladder and using it for himself to get the win. I hope he has a long reign. 10000000/10!!!!!

Christian/Jericho segment- Haha, funny and showed the connection between Jericho and Christian while hyping the main event and attacking Abyss and Jarret. Looser than Paris Hilton, love it. Can't wait for the main event but I hope Jarret pulls out a win so the feud continues for just a bit longer, this can really go places. 10/10

Main Event Tag Match- Meh, kind of dissappointing to tell the truth. It was too short for a main event and didn't really deliver even though it was the most hyped match for the PPV. Good job having the heels work over the injured ribs of Jericho, doing whatever they can. I'm surprised it didn't turn into a huge brawl at the end and actually stayed a wrestling match. Awesome ending though, everyone giving it their all until Abyss hit the black hole slam on Jericho and ended it. Interesting to see where you go with this, but this match should have been longer and maybe a cool spot in it, or brawl to the crowd or something. 8/10

Overall- 9.5/10. Incredible, amazing, awesome, outstanding, all of those words describe your PPV. The only reason it's not 10/10 is because I felt there wasn't enough promos and maybe one too many matches. Also, the main event should have been longer while shortening maybe the parking lot brawl match. The UX match was honestly one of the best matches from this thread in my opinion. Just top quality stuff and you can bet I'll keep reading.

Sorry for the lateness of the review!

Re: TNA: Changing The Face Of Pro Wrestling

Just saw this and noticed we got different winners. I also noticed that I screwed up with the votes because I clearly said "(one point each)" for certain questions and I know I only gave them 1 point for getting the full question correct. I don't have time to go back and check everything now as I've got to head to work but when I get home I'll recount the votes and make sure everything is correct.

Sorry for screwing up as this is clearly my fault and thanks to TNAsuperstar for taking the time out to tally up the scores. I won't take away anything from nathanm as he has done nothing wrong he just caught a break from my mistake. He's already sent in his prize and I'm not changing that up on him. If captaincharisma does come out to be the winner, I'll PM you with a prize list and you too can chose a prize.

I once again apologize for screwing up.

Re: TNA: Changing The Face Of Pro Wrestling

First of all what a ppv! I was actually on the edge of my seat reading it!

Right ma review:

Pre show match: Nice match with obviously the heels going over, any other finish wudnt have seemed right. Team canada should definatley be pushed a s a major heel faction and you did this well. 7/10

Daniels/Lethal vs Aries/Strong: Very good match with a very cool finish. Liked how u made lethal tap just as they counted the three. 7/10.

Parking Lot Brawl: Meh, thank god this feud has finished. Personally I hate the james gang and waltman but anything with homicide is a plus so it wasnt so bad. Nice finish with the cop killa off the truck. 6.5/10

Team 3-D vs AMW: WOO! Team 3D needed these titles otherwise they would have looked silly jobbing to AMW all the time. Hopefully we can now see a diff tag feud with team 3D. Also stacy keibler = sex on legs :P:P:P 7.5/10

Sabin Vs Michaels: Although I must say u could see michaels was gonna win, I loved this match with two very underrated superstars in my opinion. I think chris Sabin is an in ring genius and same goes for michaels. Their feud in 2003 was one of the highlights of early tna. Very VERY nice spots with the elbow off the X and the superkick off the chair. 8.5/10

Monsters Ball: Well when u first mentioned this match I just instantly thought of the spot with the rhino driver through the flaming tables. I would mark out to hell if they did that. I always enjoy sabu/rhino matches as they are true ecw hardcore. Very nice finish with the arabian facebuster with the barbed wire chair(kind of half stole it from turning point but hey). 8/10

Raven vs Sting: I was so shocked at how much Raven dominated. This feud absolutely has to continue no doubt about it. Not too bad but it felt a bit too lacklustre to me. Never mind. 7/10

Ultimate X: MATCH OF THE FRIGGIN YEAR! WOW! Ive never enjoyed reading a match so much! The spots were incredible and you could picture them all. Shelley winning had me marking out to the max. He so needs a push in real life. 10/10

Main event: Started out dull but got better. Thought that you would have abyss get the pin as you look to be pushing him quite a lot. In real life he never seems big threat to me but youve made him quite a threat to the title. 8/10

Overall: 8/10. Very nicely done ppv and cant wait for the next impact!
