So, so,so sorry for the delay!
Bad Blood Review
Tag Team Title Match- Good choice of an opener, but a bit on the short end. Still, some good offense throughout, although nothing special, seemed like a run-of-the-mill tag match. It was still well done, and both teams seemed to use a new move or two to try and secure the win which is nice, and I liked the ending with the heels going over by cheating and the feud possibly continuing. We all know NAO liked hardcore matches. Anyway, a solid match with nothing special, but nothing bad. A bit short, however. 7/10
Vince interview- Wow, great announcement for SummerSlam, should be an awesome match. My only problem is that this is going to overshadow Survivor Series in a huge way, making the survivor series tag match look boring, know what I'm saying? No rating for this, but nice match announcement although it should be been saved for survivor series or something.
Sting vs Kane- Sting is on SECOND?! Sting is by no means a low-card guy...don't like that decision at all. Awesome start to the match and good up until a certain point, which I'll explain. I loved the match for the most part, resembling the hardcore matches of the attitude era when they fought all over the arena, great way to bring that feeling back. Nice spots without going overboard, Kane having an advantage in the enviroment, all going well, especially with near falls, until...boiling water poured onto Kane? Okay, okay, it could happen in the WWE, I'll go with it. Wait...a glass panel. A glass panel?! It's the WWE, they won't even allow piledrivers! Extremely unrealistic and took away from the nice hardcore match that was going on. I loved the ending however, and I'm glad Sting went over. Aside from a bit of bad booking with Sting on second and unrealistic spots, this was a good match, and a good length considering the match type. 7/10
Christian interview- Really nice interview here, Christian in character and playing the heel nicely, but due to his winning streak against Rock, I see him losing tonight. Great length for a PPV interview, and nice lines from Christian to insult Rock and the crowd. Great stuff here, although it did seem like he was more worried about insulting the crowd instead of the Rock. 9/10
RVD vs Shelton Benjamin- WOW! Match of the night so far, definitely. This match blew my mind with it's pacing, nice spots, it's flow, but it seemed to be missing exhaustion/fatigue, but I can look over that. It was a great length as it didn't drag on, both men hit big moves, lots of nearfalls and pin attempts, everything that makes for an exciting match. The finish was expected, but it was still great. Obviously, this gets a high score. It wasn't perfect, but the things that it did do well were done very well, so 10/10
Corporation segment- This was great also, liked how it started off with comedy from the new champs, followed by Vince saying he would call it down the middle, funny stuff. It takes a serious turn with strong words from Vince about tonight, and I can see HHH winning. Anyway, this really hyped up the main event for me, so great job. 9/10
KOTM- Love the idea of this, using KOTM in the WWE. Anyway, this match started a bit too fast, all these big spots in the first few minutes, which is exciting but unrealistic. It slowed down a bit which is good and flowed well (as well as a multi man kotm match can flow) and the match was booked well. The spots torwards the end were just insane, like the pounce to Carlito, brutal. The best part of this match was the unexpectedness (is that a word?) of who would win, the odds stacked against Haas. A great way to end the match, and everything was done really well aside from the beginning. What's next for the IC champ? 9/10
Rock promo- Really solid promo, a good length and the Rock making some funny comments/insults as always. Got all the right catchphrases and everything so thats good. I think this time could have been given to Edge or Austin to hype their match, but whatever. 9/10
Edge vs Austin- Nice way to start it off, both men meeting at the ramp and brawling around, shows the intensity and hatered between them. When things finally get back into the ring, this match is off the charts. Edge dominates a good portion which is good since it shows you plan on pushing him. Anyway, I really did love this match, every second of it, with Edge playing the cocky heel and Austin playing...well, Austin, just fighting it out. Lots of nearfalls and finishers hit made this really exciting, and the back and forth stuff was great, until Edge finally cheats to win (as usual). This is my pick for MOTN, definitely. 10/10
Cena promo- Awesome rap, and a surprisingly long length to it, which is great. Not much else to say, this was perfect for heel Cena. 10/10
Rock vs Christian- Basic beginning with not much happening, although still good, and it really picked up with the mid-match promo from the Rock, I can see it happening and it's a great way to entertain the crowd/readers, I loved it. Another match where the exhaustion/fatigue isn't really being shown, might wanna work on that. This match didn't get to be great until the last few minutes where they went all out to try and secure a victory, and the finish sequence was the best out of all the matches tonight. A good match until the end where it turned great, and nice booking. 8/10
HHH vs Cena- It may not have been the best match due to interferences and such with lumberjacks, but there was a lot of emotion involved and this was a great match choice for a feud like this. Things were intense throughout the whole thing, HHH having the win numerous times but Vince not counting, the faces and heels colliding outside, so much great stuff, and the ending was AWESOME, Cena/Austin face to face, that's a money feud. HHH is the new champ, and I'll be damned if I don't rate this high. It wasn't the best match persay (sp?), but it was really intense and a greatly booked match to make it entertaining and exciting. 9/10
DX IS BACK! w000000t!
Overall- 97/100 = 88.8% = B+
Started off kinda slow but really picked up into, honestly, one of my favorite PPVs since I started booking, right behind kane01's No Mercy and AMP's Lockdown/Destination X. I really didn't like some booking decisions and choices, but other than that, this was fantastic and extremely well done. Sorry again for the huge delay, it won't happen again, swear.
