Re: WWE 2006 by randyorton24 and Renegade™

Nice way to open SD with Teddy Long announcing what’s going to go down. Always a good way to get the audience hyped.

Decent tag match and a big win for Helms here. He and Tajiri could have an awesome cruiserweight feud.

Booker T vs. Taker at TGAB in a Casket Match will be awesome. I think Booker will win that with help from someone. Booker T was good here and I could imagine him saying this. Taker, however, said too much and seemed to show too much emotion.

A shame Tajiri vs.Helms isn’t going down at the PPV but the announcement of a TLC Match is great. I remember you had one on SD a while back so hopefully you can play off that as both teams were involved in that one.

Orton being his usual self here and it was a nice way to have him beat Lashley without making Lahsley look bad. I hope Lashley gets some revenge next week.

I haven’t many Sandman promos so I don’t know how this compares with those, but I quite liked this one and the Kendo Stick Match will be cool. Does that mean that just kendo sticks are legal?

Benoit was pretty good in his interview. He seemed very intense and it should be an awesome main event.

I liked the contract signing and Batista got a slight advantage here over Lesnar. Both men can put on a good match and I believe this could exceed everyone’s expectations.

Great interview with Y2J. This was in character and had all the elements of a classic Y2J promo.

Teddy Long played a nice heel role in his segment with Hogan and although I don’t like Nash much, it could be a decent match provided it doesn’t last too long. The stipulations surrounding this are interesting.

Angle says he’ll call the match down the middle…I don’t think so!

Nitro beats Jeff in a very brief match. Could have done with a bit more detail but anyway, I like how MNM get the momentum here and hopefully the Hardy’s can redeem themselves next week.

Great main event while it lasted and Angle completely snapped here. I like the announcement of the triple threat at TGAB and the only way to win is by gaining 2 falls. I like that idea and it should be a classic main event.

Overall, this show was pretty good and had some nice elements. The opening tag match and the main event were done very well, and the Y2J promo really impressed me. The only thing I didn’t like was that the show felt very short and seemed rushed. I don’t know if you didn’t have time or whatever, but everything else was done very well.

7/10

Re: WWE 2006 by randyorton24 and Renegade™

To answer some of your questions, MS, yes, in the Kendo Stick Match only Kendo Sticks are legal. Also the reason it was so short because I was rushed on time. But I am already working on TGAB, so next week's Smackdown might be a little rush but I will try not to.

That's cool. I know how rushed it can be trying to write the last few shows before a PPV so yeah, I see why it wasn't as long as the other shows.

Re: WWE 2006 by randyorton24 and Renegade™

Interesting announcements for tonight, wonder if we're gonna see a triple threat for the title as I can't see either Jericho or Benoit jobbing out

Helms cheats in what would be a great match after he nails a finishing move anyways, kinda odd but I'm sure no one will care

Undetaker to face Booker in a Casket match? Sounds good, should be a nice brawl, I can see a push for Booker coming after this match

Orton sneaks a win after assaulting Lashley pre-match. Hmm, will Orton have the momentum for next week at the Bash? I wonder...

Sandman vs Birchall in a kendo stick match is gonna be a good brawl. Birchall should retain tho

The contract signing didn't do much, I thought it could've had a bit more build for their fued, but this also builds it up, as they are yet to come to proper blows before their match

Long as a heel is a fresh idea, and he seems hellbent on punishing Hogan. Hopefully this spells the end for the Hulkster...

MNM get another cheap win over the hardyz ahead of the TLC at the Bash, I can picture the Hardyz winning at GAB now

Nice main event and an elimination triple threat match is a great stipulation which is hardly ever used, I think the last time was at WM2000. The bash has an awesome card lined up for it

Nice show, was kinda short, but I understand as you want to get cracking on writing the Bash up. 7/10

Re: WWE 2006 by randyorton24 and Renegade™

RandyOrton24's Smackdown Review.

Long Announcement: Long sounded off at the start but his character kicked in after that, good length and left me to think who Hogan's opponent is some good announcements, right length and the flow was great to so 3.5/5 here.

Jamie Noble/Gregory Helms vs Tajiri/Ultimo Dragon: Sounded like a great match, the Tajiri/Noble fued is heating up and is getting the build up it deserved, the heel getting one up on the face is a good way to develop the fued and altogether it was a good match in flow and the end was great.

Booker/Undertaker: Booker was a bit off but Undertaker was spot on, great length but Booker was off character a bit but Undertaker saved the segmant with his usual good promo to hype the match a bit further and i hope the match at GAB lives up to the hype.

Orton Vs Lashley: Lashley looks weak now as you didn't tell us whether he got the offence in or not and the ref not wanting to count, to quote hurricane..."Whats up with that"???, Lashley looks weak and the less talented Orton looks very strong inded.

Sandman Segmant: shot and sweet segmant with Sandman getting straight to the point and a good job to as he sucks on the mic, a quick segmant and the kendo match should be good.

Benoit segmant: this was pretty ugly, Benoit is no Kennedy on the mic but he was off character here, the forced humour wasn't a pretty sight and overall the promo was a no go.

Nick/Batista/Lesnar: an average segmant, Brock jumping over the desk and Brock slams him down, i would pay to see that lol, overall it was ok with the ending of the fight was pretty obvious really.

Jericho Segmant: this segmant was spot on, the flow took awhile to kick in but apart from that it was good, nice length and choise of words and Jericho's character was spot on, good segmant.

Hogan/Nash/Long: WOW....Nash is back, nash can't wrestle for shit but is good for shock value and for some reason i am looking forward to see Hogan loose at GAB as he is a worthless piece of crap...good segmant.

Nitro Vs Jeff: real quick match and Jeff looks weak now, Jeff is more talented than Nitro and he should have won this match and should be getting a push but non the less sounded good.

Chris Benoit Vs Jericho
Speacial Ref: Angle

Wow...MOTN, a very good match with Angle again not calling it down the middle and nailing him with an angle slam some good back and fourth action and the flow was very good.

Long Announement: this has happened before...at WM all 3 of them went at it in 2001 and it was a good match, a good announcement and i am looking forward to that match.

Overall: a solid show 9/10, everything was well done, promo's and matches was good and the lay out was also very good, good show.

Re: WWE 2006 by randyorton24 and Renegade™

More SD! reviews are welcome, here's the RAW preview, RAW will be posted tomorrow.

RAW Preview

Tonight RAW comes to you live from Madison, Winsconsin for what should be a jam packed evening of action

Eric Bischoff wishes to call out Mick Foley for a "talk". Will Foley show up? Will another confrontation take place? Will the two teams go at each other tonight?

Plus Scott Hall answers the Intercontinental title open challenge for Charlie Haas. Can the Bad Guy pick up his first WWE title in 10 years? Also, will Chris Masters involve himself in Hall's match?

And after the betrayal of HHH by Shawn Michaels last week, you can bet that tempers and emotions will be running high, apparently HBK has issued a statement on WWE.com that he will address the crowd at some time during the show to explain his actions. Is HHH going to show up?

Also, will Stone Cold and John Cena run into each other?

For all this and more, tune into RAW on USA Network at 9/8pm.

Looking forward to RAW, Renegade, the Hall/Haas match I think will end in a No Contest because of Masters but I am loving the new Haas defending the title every week.
