Re: WWE 2005: The Aftermath of WrestleMania 21
June 6th Raw:
*opening video and pyro*
JR: Welcome to the Target Center and Monday Night Raw. Hello I'm Jim Ross and he's Jerry the King Lawler. And King what a night we have planned for the fans. That's right, JR.
King: Yeah, JR and plus tonight Shelton Benjamin defends his Intercontinental Championship aganist Luther Regins.
*I'm Back and Eric Bischoff comes out*
EB: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Monday Night Raw! As I look out to the fans and this audience I wonder what is this business missing? What has slipped that made this business fall into a slump? Sure, some can say that WCW was brought out by WWE. Sure you can say, that wrestling has changed. But, no matter how you look at it, wrestling stopped being wrestling a couple of years ago. Well, that's going to change. Well at least for the Raw side that is.
*A briefcase begins to come down to the ring from the rafters*
EB: In the briefcase, is something that will once again, bring back some tradition and some honor to what this business used to be. It will bring back the prestige and dignity of taking things to an extreme. At Vengeance, however we will set a new champion. A matter of fact, this item in this briefcase is a championship. It is something, that the fans will think is extreme. Starting tonight we will have a series of tournament matches, with the two final competitors facing each other at Vengeance with the winner becoming the champion. What kind of champion am I talking about, you might ask? Well this is what I'm talking about. The superstars in the tournament will be Rob Van Dam. Eddie Guerrero. Maven. AJ Styles. Steven Richards. Simon Dean. Tajiri. And finally a returning Rhyno. The matches will be single elimination. Tonight we will see Rob Van Dam taking on Steven Richards and Simon Dean taking on Tajiri. Next week you will see AJ Styles taking on Eddie Guerrero and Rhyno taking on Maven. Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to announce that this tournament will take place to crown the NEW WWE HARDCORE CHAMPION! *Eric pulls out the New Hardcore Championship* Thank You! *Eric leaves to a nice pop*
JR: King, do you believe it, the Hardcore Championship is finally back in the WWE! I don't believe it.
King: JR, I'm completely stunned.
JR: However coming up next, it will be Dawn Marie taking on Molly Holly, with the winner facing Trish Stratus at Vengeance. We'll be right back!
JR: Welcome back to Raw and King after Eric Bischoff's announcement, this place is still on their feet.
King: However JR, it's time for some puppies!
JR: Yeah, whatever King. Lilian take it away.
