Default Re: WWE 2005: The Aftermath of WrestleMania 21

Smackdown for February 3rd:

*opening video and pyro*

Michael Cole: Welcome to Smackdown folks! We are live from the Pepsi Center here in Denver, Colorado! Michael Cole and Tazz are with you here tonight, and Tazz tonight the score will be settled between Chris Jericho and Billy Kidman inside a fifteen foot high steel cage for Kidman’s United States Championship!

Tazz: The steel cage in which both men will be inside of is unforgiving as its appearance. Two men walk in, one might walk out victorious, but their will clearly be only one survivor.

Michael Cole: Plus, JBL will take on Rey Mysterio.

Tazz: Folks that is how we’re going to kick things off here tonight.

*Longhorn hits and out comes JBL to a bunch of heat*

JBL: Denver, Colorado!

*Huge pop*

JBL: Home of hicks, cold weather, sloppy basketball, and a football team that had their ass handed to them by the Pittsburgh Steelers!

*Huge heat on JBL*

JBL: Denver is just like Rey Mysterio. Uneducated, stupid, and foolish!

*More heat on JBL*

JBL: Tonight, next week, whenever, when you see JBL, you see greatness. You see what you want to be, but can’t. Simply put, you see perfection. Whether they come as small as Rey, or as big as the Big Show, I will bring them down. Hell, you can put me in a match with a broom, and you’ll see greatness. Whether I’m opening a show or closing it in the main event, I will give you a performance that you will never forget. You people stand out here in this frigid city, and spend your money from your janitorial and minimum wage jobs to catch and see me. The Living Legend, the Master of all Greatness, the true Wrestling God…

*619 Remix hits and out comes Rey Mysterio to a huge pop*

Michael Cole: Finally Rey is out here to shut JBL up.

Tazz: Hey, I wanted to hear what else JBL had to say
.

*Tony Chimel does the introductions*

Match 1:
JBL v. Rey Mysterio

Both men put on a good long battle to open up the show. Both men revert from the generic big vs. small, and power vs. speed and instead put on more of a technical brawl. JBL nails the Clothesline from Hell on the ref accidentally and Rey works on the legs of JBL. JBL continue to fight but is eventually taken down as Mysterio finally nails the 619 on JBL. Mysterio then nails the West Coast Pop on JBL. Mysterio picks up the surprise victory on JBL at the 18:56 mark.

Tony Chimel: The winner of the match, Rey Mysterio! MT-18:56

Michael Cole: Rey Mysterio just scored one hell of an upset over JBL.

Tazz: These fans can’t believe it, as they are on their feet for Mysterio. JBL can’t believe it.

*JBL is still stunned, as Mysterio is heading up the ramp as the crowd is still going wild for Mysterio*

*We cut to Theodore Long’s office where Billy Kidman is in the room*

Billy Kidman: Teddy, tonight I’m going to shut all of my critics up! Teddy, I know you want me to lose the title. This pathetic, unemployed ridden city wants me to lose the title. The viewers who watch this show week in and week out want me to lose this title. But I’m not going to! You think I call myself the Golden Boy of Smackdown for nothing. I held the Cruiserweight Championship for 4 months. I held the Television Championship for five months. I’ve been the United States Champion for almost two and a half months. Tonight I’m going to bleed. I’m going to be ridden with pain. But I’ll be damned if I don’t leave Denver, without my United States Championship around my waist. I refuse to lose in a city who’s teams can’t win even in a home field advantage situation.

Teddy Long: Well playa, tonight is your chance to prove yourself. If you’re saying you’re going to do it, tonight is the night to prove it.

Billy Kidman: Trust me at the end of the night I will still be the champ.

Teddy Long: Okay playa. I’ve got some calls to attend to.

*Kidman leaves as we see Carlito heading to the ring entrance*

Michael Cole: Strong words from Billy, but as Long said he will have tonight to prove it.

Tazz: But coming up next, Carlito will be taking on Shane McMahon in a non-title match. We’ll be right back!

*Commercials-3 minutes*

Michael Cole: Welcome back to Smackdown folks.

*Chimel does the introductions*

Match 2: Non-Title
Carlito v. Shane McMahon

Shane and Carlito put on a good match with both competitors trying to give the audience a good match. Shane nails a cool jumping tornado DDT on Carlito late in the match but only gets a two count. Carlito goes for the Cool Driver, but Shane counters it with a flapjack Facebuster. Shane knocks Carlito off the top rope and Shane connects with a 450 splash and gets the three count at the 12:06 mark.

Tony Chimel: The winner of the match, Shane McMahon! MT-12:06

Michael Cole: Shane McMahon comes back and picks up a big victory over the Television Champion, Carlito!

Tazz: Carlito can’t believe it, as we open up the show with two back to back surprise victories.

Michael Cole: This can very well be a night of surprises.

Tazz: Well coming up next, Johnny Jeter and Ken Donane from the new group here in the WWE, called Team OVW, will be debuting when they take on the group of MNM. We’ll be right back!

*Commercials-3 minutes*

Michael Cole: Smackdown is back on folks, and we are live from the Pepsi Center here in Denver, Colorado.

*Chimel does the introductions*

Match 3:
Johnny Jeter/Ken Donane vs. MNM

Some fans in the audience recognize Jeter/Donane from their indy days and are behind them in this match. MNM as usual work well in the ring, is out wrestled in this match. The finish comes after MNM fail to pick up the win after nailing the Paparazzi snapshot, Jeter nails a top rope corkscrew kick to Johnny Nitro and picks up a surprising victory at the 10:05 mark!

Tony Chimel: The winners of the match, Johnny Nitro and Ken Donane! MT: 10:05

Tazz: I must say that I am impressed by the works of both Jeter and Donane.

Michael Cole: Me too, and I must say that if that is how those two are, I think Smackdown is in for a surprise as the rest of Team OVW debut in the upcoming weeks.

*Burn in My Light hits and out comes the WWE Champion, Randy Orton with a smirk on his face*

Michael Cole: Well when we come back folks, Randy Orton, I guess is going to address the audience here tonight. So don’t move.

*Commercials-2 Minutes*

Tazz: Welcome back to Smackdown, and Randy Orton is in the ring.

Randy Orton: Last week on Smackdown, I did what I said I was going to do. I remained the WWE Champion, and I put Booker T in his place.

*Huge Heat*

Randy Orton: Booker, I told you, that people like you don’t deserve to be the champion. This ain’t racist, so don’t go to the NAACP and complain. This is just life! I’m better than you, and last week I proved it. Booker, I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. I am the Legend Killer. I am epitiome of destiny. My destiny is to become the sixth person to walk in AND walk out of WrestleMania as the WWE Champion!

*Huge Heat on Orton*

Randy Orton: And nothing will bring more joy than beating you right in your own hometown! Booker after WrestleMania you will be finished once and for all. A has been. A never was. A joke. A fool. Another person to be defeated by the Legend Killer, I..

*Dig It hits and out comes Booker T to a huge pop*

Booker T: Randy, you want to come out and say that I’m going to be just another person who is defeated by the “great” Legend Killer, Randy Orton! Randy, at WrestleMania I will end the legend of the so-called Legend Killer! Randy, I’ve told you, I will kick your ass all over Houston, if I have to, to leave WrestleMania as the WWE Champion! You say your destiny is to leave Mania as still the champ! Well my destiny is to leave Mania as the NEW WWE Champion! Now can you dig that…

*Orton goes for a right hand, but misses, and Booker nails a huge spinebuster. Booker goes to the ropes, but is floored by Brock Lesnar with a huge clothesline. A ref comes down to the ring, as Orton smiles and leaves the ring and then goes over to Cole and Tazz, and begin to call the match as we now have a match that is going to take place right here, right now.

Michael Cole: Well this match will continue when we come back folks!

*Commercials-3 Minutes*

Match 4:
Booker T v. Brock Lesnar

We return back to the show with the match already in progress. Brock has the advantage on the Rumble winner, but Booker soon is able to make a comeback. Booker then takes it to the former three time WWE Champion, but Brock refuses to be taken completely down. Booker is almost hit with the F-5, but at the last moment counters it into a swinging neckbreaker DDT. Booker then climbs to the top and nails the Houston Hangover on Brock! Booker makes the cover, and gets the three count at the 14:36 mark!

Tony Chimel: The winner of the match, Booker T! MT-14:36

Michael Cole: Booker T pulls the big victory over Brock!

*Orton comes into the ring and attacks Booker. Booker gets up and the two brawl. Booker reverses an Irish Whip to the ropes and nails Orton with a thunderous Book End to Orton. Booker then gets a mike from Chimel*

Booker T: Now can you dig that…SUCKA!!!

*Booker then celebrates in the ring as Booker holds up the WWE Championship belt as Orton is still down*

Michael Cole: Well Steve Romero is with Chris Jericho.

Steve Romero: Chris, last week you defeated Petey Williams. You said that tonight will be the night that you become the NEW United States Champion. Well, Billy Kidman spoke earlier to Smackdown GM, Theodore Long and said that no matter what, he refuses to leave Denver without the belt still around his waist.

*Jericho takes the mike from Steve*

Chris Jericho: Assclown the answer the same! I am leaving Denver as the new champ. Billy can complain all he wants but Billy the Kid’s time is up. Yeah he had his run and all, but tonight inside the structure of a fifteen foot high steel cage, I am going to end it, and I am going to remind him why he will never be the same, again.

*Jericho leaves as we see Victoria getting ready for her match which is going to be later on*

*Inside Teddy’s office we see JBL storming into the room*

JBL: Teddy, what happened out there earlier tonight was a complete fluke. I was cheated, by not only the referee and Mysterio, by all these lowlifes here in Denver!

*Huge heat on JBL*

JBL: Teddy, I am a wrestling god for Pete’s sake!

Teddy Long: Well JBL considered yourself beat.

JBL: Teddy, I demand a rematch against Mysterio. I will prove to you that what happened out there was a fluke, nothing more, and nothing less.

Teddy Long: Well you make a good point. So, in two weeks on Smackdown, it will be JBL vs. Rey Mysterio in a rematch.

JBL: Thank You, Teddy. I will once again prove, why I am what I say I am. And that is that I am a true Wrestling God!

*JBL leaves as we see Long answers the phone and we head back out to Cole and Tazz*

Michael Cole: Well we’ve just found out that in two weeks time, that JBL will face Rey Mysterio in a rematch from tonight live from the Air Canada Center in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Tazz: Well coming up next, it will be Victoria taking on Candice Michelle. We’ll be right back!

*Commercials-2 Minutes*

*Chimel does the introductions*

Match 5:
Victoria v. Candice

Candice uses some moves in this match to avoid from making it a one-sided match. Finish comes when Victoria nails the Widow’s Peak and scores the victory at the 5:45 mark!

Tony Chimel: The winner of the match, Victoria! MT-5:45

*Victoria slides out of the ring, and has a sick smile on her face. We then cut to a split screen of Chris Jericho and Billy Kidman coming down to the ring, with the cage starting to come down*

Michael Cole: Well when we come back, the United States Championship will be on the line, when Billy Kidman defends the title against Chris Jericho inside a fifteen foot high steel cage match!

Tazz: We’re coming back folks!

*Commercials-2 Minutes*

*Raw Rebound is Shown*

Michael Cole: Well next week folks, we will be live from Freedom Hall in Louisville, KY.

Tazz: Can’t wait for it, Cole. But it’s time for our main event.

*Chimel does the introductions*

Main Event: United States Championship-Steel Cage Match
Chris Jericho v. Billy Kidman(c)

Classic blood bath cage match with both men throwing caution to the wind. Neither man back down. Some classic moves such as a Shooting Star from off of the top of the cage. Jericho somehow kicks out at the last second. Not to be out done, Jericho nails the Lionsault from off the top rope. Jericho also only gets a two count. Jericho nails the Walls of Jericho, but Kidman somehow escapes. Finish comes as both men try to climb over, collide and fall and go crashing right through the Smackdown Announce Table at the 17:23 mark!

Winner: No Contest-17:23

*After three replays we see there is no clear winner*

Michael Cole: Who is the United States Champion! Both men are knocked out and we are out of time.

Tazz: We’ll see you next week from Freedom Hall in Louisville! Goodnight from Denver!

Default Re: WWE 2005: The Aftermath of WrestleMania 21

ha nice JBL promo to get the ball rolling tonight. Very good put downs, and he was very in character, although the promo was a little short

honestly didn't think Rey would beat JBL, as I was expecting a fued between the two here to start, but o well

Kidman, rubbish. Why you are so over for giving him every title is getting annoying, but he has been a good champ. I hope he loses it soon, and takes some time away from a belt, he's becoming a mid card HHH

wow, really didn't expect Shane to beat Carlito. Some big surprises so far

this is getting too much. Jeter, is good. Donane? WTF? Who's this guy? another upset win, it's getting bland, and I don't feel it will continue

Booker/Orton is an interesting fued to have, I still don't know why you had Booker win the Rumble, but something big could come of this fued, if done right at WM

Booker keeps his momentum, and then Orton is back out here. And once again, Booker comes out ontop

JBL gets his rematch, and maybe this fued will pick up in time for WM

Victoria squashes Candice, why not book a decent women's match? Where is Melina?

HOLY SHIT! what an ending to the main event, both men off the cage and through the table! HUGE! Was expecting a Y2J victory, but then again I forgot who's booking.

Good show KOM, but too many surprise victories in one night. 7.5/10
