Great detail went into the recaps Mac, and everything is looking really good. Surprised to see Rock & Trips still somehow getting along with each other, and Batista is still the Champion thanks to RIC FLAIR! Big move to pair the two up again, but it'll be a smart move as Big Dave will earn more heat this way by cheating his way out more often than not these days.

Kennedy/Cena feud got alot of steam into it. FX allowing swearing, I know it's what you've always wanted so be it, you got it. I look forward to more profanity laced promos in the future. Jeff Hardy coming back was a shocker, I wonder if he'll be a heel like his brother Matt? Regal stealing the US Title off Lashley with the Brass Knux was a bit unexpected, but this gives Bobby the chance to become an Upper carder.

Looking forward to SmackDown!'s future aswell as RAW's.

WWE RAW; January 8th, 2007(Recap)

Recap of the RAW events that happened at New Year’s Revolution. The main angle of the video package was Randy Orton defeating Edge (and four others) for the WWE Championship when Edge’s Rated R Army turned on him.

Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler welcomes us to RAW, hyping the tag team title match between MNM and AMW, the triple threat to crown the #1 contender for the Women’s Championship between Trish Stratus, Gail Kim and Victoria and a huge main-event tag with Umaga and The Big Show teaming up against The Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin!!

We open up the show with the new WWE Champion Randy Orton and the former group of Edge, newly christened, the RKO Army. Orton says that the group turning on Edge was nothing personal and just something that the group had to do for their careers to continue to blossom. Shawn Michaels makes his presence known, appearing on the stage, and demanding a WWE Title match!! Orton refuses at first, saying Michaels hasn’t done anything to prove himself championship material. The two main-eventers go back and forth for a bit with insults until Jonathan Coachman appears on the TitanTron and makes a decision. Tonight, it will be Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Masters. If Michaels wins, he gets a WWE Title match against Orton at the Royal Rumble, but if HBK loses, he never gets a title shot against Orton ever again.

{Commercial Break}

The first match up of the night takes place, with MNM pulling out the tag team win, defeating America’s Most Wanted, retaining the World Tag Team Titles.

In the office of The Coach, JBL storms in, demanding to know why Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Undertaker got automatic entries into the Royal Rumble. Coach says that the decision comes from Mr. McMahon, wanting to have the most star-studded Rumble ever. Coach says he can help Bradshaw out though, making Carlito vs. JBL in a qualifying match tonight.

{Commercial Break}

Chris Benoit defeated Luther Reigns to qualify for the Royal Rumble, making him submit to the Crippler Crossface.

In the locker room, of Victoria, whom is warming up for her match up, the WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James busts in, full of her usual overwhelming enthusiasm. Mickie says she’ll be out there to make sure that the right woman wins that match, before winking at Victoria.

{Commercial Break}

In the backstage area, Todd Grisham interviews Stone Cold Steve Austin. Austin hypes up his huge tag match and the Royal Rumble match, saying he’s gonna win them both and go on to capture the WWE Championship before walking off.

Gail Kim defeats Trish Stratus and Victoria to become the #1 Contender for the Women’s Championship. The finish came when it looked like Victoria was going to put Trish away but botched interference from Mickie, allowed Gail to come up behind and roll her up for the three count.

{Commercial Break}

Before the first of the main events take place, the managers of The Big Show and Umaga, Armando A. Estrada and Paul Heyman, respectively, get into a minor argument, each saying their monster was more dominant than the other.

In a tag team match up, Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Undertaker defeated Umaga and Show, with Austin hitting a couple of Stunners on Show for the win. After the match, Austin snuck up behind Taker and threw him over the top rope, illustrating that’s the exact same thing that will happen at the Rumble. Taker fiercely stares at Austin as we fade to a break.

{Commercial Break}

In the backstage area, Mickie James quickly packs her bags, trying to hurry up and leave the building when Victoria storms in and powers Mickie up against a wall!! Vickie tells her that she better watch her back after screwing her out of that match. She finally lets her go and Mickie gasps for air, clearly startled.

John Bradshaw Layfield defeats Carlito to qualify for the Royal Rumble, hitting the Clothesline From Hell to pick up the victory!

Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler told us of a HUGE match up next week. A Royal Rumble qualifier between friends, Rob Van Dam and Sabu … EXTREME RULES!!! They then hyped our main event.

{Commercial Break}

Main event runs about 13 minutes with Shawn Michaels and Chris Masters going at it, with Michaels WWE Title hopes on the line. HBK drills Masters with the Superkick and goes for the cover but the RKO Army breaks it up, Orton in particular!! Michaels win the match by DQ and subsequently earns a title shot at the Rumble … but that’s almost irrelevant right now as Orton and company move in.

Doane, Nitro and Mercury lifts Michaels up to his feet and hold him as Orton bounces up and down ready to get some stiff shots in on the new #1 contender. Orton gets in a clean, hard shot and then pulls back for another one when ***Metalingus*** hits to a raucous ovation!!!

The troops let Michaels go and face the stage, each man waiting to see their former leader appear on the stage. After a while … EDGE … ‘s girlfriend, Lita appears on the stage as Orton and company smirk, even go so far as to mockingly call for her to get back into the ring. Randy turns back around AND GETS DRILLED WITH SWEET CHIN MUSIC!!! The rest of the army turn around but its too late as HBK quickly scurries under the bottom rope and out of the ring!!

Lita walks back through the curtain and to the back as HBK scurries around ringside and back up the ramp as the RKO Army look on, pissed. Orton finally manages to sit up, holding his jaw while staring up at Michaels at the top of the ramp, whom makes the universal signal (belt around waist) for championship gold!!

Deadman_014's Raw Review

Let's begin, first review in awile hehe, so lets get rollin! Randy Orton and the new 'RKO Army' haha, that's sick. Should of gone more into detail even if it's a recap on the insults, and probably should of given HBK, Johnny Nitro, or Ken Doane, but meh not a big deal. HBK will win probably and Orton/HBK will be good, though no Edge appearance really is weird to see, or well... not see from you. MNM beat AMW there to retain the belts, that would of been a big match to give away on 'free TV', good start and MNM's reign looks to be going very well.

Carlito vs. JBL for an entry is ok, I think it's bad though as I would hope both are in the RR, but that means most likely Carlito's left off and in the word's of Carlito, Das not cool. Benoit qualifies for the RR in what's a squash, god you love Mickie lol, should be building a feud probably, or a partnership here with the women. Austin's interview looks peculiar, leaving things obscure and unclear to figure out, I think he'll do well in the RR, but won't win it though you are a huge fan I know that much, DDMac. Gail Kim vs. Mickie James looks alright, I am not a big fan of it, probably will be a triple threat, or fatal four way at WM with Trish and Victoria added in most likely as the best possibility.

Manager's collide, not needed really and desperately hope there is no Umaga/Show feud, that would make for a terrible match. Austin and Undertaker win their big time for them, I find it really bad though that Stone Cold's back 'full time' booking wise, or realistically, it just can't happen. Austin throws `Taker over the top and just sending signals for the Rumble of course as your working the build to it nicely. Victoria sends a message, if this is building towards WM, or if it's building towards RR who knows, but either way it seems rather rushed to say the least.

JBL wins of course, but hopefully somehow Carlito wins maybe a Last Chance battle royal to make it into the RR. RVD/Sabu in an Extreme Rules Match? Meh, I don't like people calling it that, just call it a hardcore match as you never started ECW in the first place of this thread. RR qualifier as well adds more to that match, RVD will probably win of course. The main event comes up and it ends the show in nice fashion, DQ ending wouldn't please the crowd, but it had to be done I suppose.

HBK/Orton is set in stone and we have Lita consequently costing RKO the battle against HBK sending a message from Edge of sorts helping HBK by distracting RKO Army. Intriguing and Orton/Edge will probably happen before WM, or at it, not sure and we have a decent ending with HBK signaling gold. The show seems rather rushed in some points, feud wise, particularly the Victoria/Mickie stuff very much it seems to be pushing the envelope quickly. Good show non the less, I suggest you probably could and should get the Road to RR shows in full if you can as this build means a lot. Good to see you back, can't wait to see a full show, RR looks good at this point, and most of the stuff is moving smoothly. Enjoy the review, DDMac.

The recaps have been awesome. I'm absolutely loving the Rated R Army/RKO Army stuff on Raw. I've always been a huge fan of heel groups and this one is greatness. I wonder if Edge will maybe start up a face faction to battle Orton. Sounds about right.

The Kennedy/Cena feud is definitely the highlight of SD. I expect Rock/HHH/Angle/Batista to pick up in the next SD recap.

Raw Review

Looked like a pretty decent promo to kick off the show, loving that Orton has took control of Edge's army making himself the leader. HBK/Masters made for tonight and expect HBK to get win and face Orton at Rumble. MNM get ehe win over AMW retaining their titles, would of liked to see a little more info on this one atleast the finish anyway. Carlito/JBL made for tonight which should be good thinking it could be a draw and both men advance as both men should really unless you have other plans for one of them. Benoit advances to Rumble could last a very long time don't see him winning though. Austin promo looked alright confident about tag match and the Rumble.

Gail Kim picks up the win and she will take on Mickie James in what could be an entertaining diva match. Filler promo here between Armando and Heyman hyping both their monsters up. Austin/Taker pick up the win though and good aftermath with Austin signalling his intentions for the PPV by tossing Taker over the top to the outside. JBL beats Carlito, good to see JBL advance but where does that leave Carlito? RVD/Sabu Extreme Rules of course is gonna be a good match. Main event looked great with HBK getting the win even though by DQ and takes on Orton at the Rumble. Good aftermath with Lita distracting Orton into a Sweet Chin Music by HBK to Orton getting one over the champ.

Good recap show here, build up to Royal Rumble is coming along nicely. Good to see you back DDMac look forward to some full shows though by you in futute.

Everything looked good in the recap Mac.

Austin & Taker in the RR automatically to make it the most star studded Rumble is a wise move, JBL joining them after going over Carlito, but I hope somehow CCC gets into the match. MNM/AMW ends with the champs being too good, I wish a full feud would pick up between these two.

The RKO Army is awesome and HBK has his hands full with them. HBK beats Masters and now will face Orton at the Rumble, should be sweet, Edge's music got a major pop? I wonder if he'll go face...

Hmm, Austin & Taker pick up the win and then Austin shows there's no favourites and dumps Taker out of the ring lol. These two could well last to the end of the RR match. Benoit qualifies after beating Morgan. Kim/James is almost as good as Women's matches could get. RVD vs Sabu next week in Extreme Rules will be off the charts, can't wait for that! Mickie vs Victoria will be good, even better than Mickie/Kim which is solid.

All in all, RAW is looking awesome heading to the Rumble.

Another recapped show, excluding a short Kurt Angle promo.
_______________________________
WWE SmackDown!; January 12th, 2007 (Recap)

Joey Styles and Tazz welcome us to the broadcast, highlighting some of the matches for tonight before mentioning that several superstars qualified for the Royal Rumble during house shows this past week. Stars include Kurt Angle, Bobby Lashley, Mr. Kennedy, John Cena, King Booker, Finlay, William Regal also RAW superstars, Umaga, The Big Show, Johnny Nitro, Joey Mercury and Ken Doane.

The general manager of SmackDown!, Stephanie McMahon, comes down to the ring. After gaining a bit of cheap heat, insulting the fans of Texas, she brings up the situation regarding the #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship, with Kurt Angle re-entering the ring, after he was eliminated, to eliminate both The Rock and Triple H. Before Steph can name the #1 contender, the champion Batista and his manager, Ric Flair, make their way to the ring, looking as cool and confident as always. Flair does the talking, saying that neither Hunter nor Rock should get the title match since they both loss. Stephanie thinks it over before solving the problem and giving us our main event. It will be Batista and Ric Flair versus The Rock and Triple H. If Tista and Flair win, they get a break come the Rumble and Batista will not have to defend the championship but if they lose, whomever gets the pin fall, either Hunter or Rock, will earn the title match at RR.

In the first match up of the night, the WWE Tag Team Champions Shelton Benjamin & Gregory Helms team up with The Hardy Boys to take on The Hooligans, Rey Mysterio & Chavo Guerrero in an eight man tag match. All eight men put on a great match up, utilizing an incredibly fast pace but it’s the heels whom pick up the victory, with Matt Hardy hitting the Twist of Fate on Chavo and Jeff Hardy following up with a Swanton for the pin fall victory. After the match, the Hardyz let Benji and Helms know that they would soon be coming for the WWE Tag Team Titles.

In the locker room, King Booker and Finlay have an argument, both men wanting the United States Champion William Regal to accompany them to ringside. Things get a bit heated with Finlay stepping in Booker’s face but Regal finally steps in, saying that since he’s the only member in the Court with gold, he is threw acting as a manager. Regal then storms out, leaving Booker and Finlay in a bit of shock.

After the break, John Cena and Finlay due battle in a match up of superstars whom have already qualified for the Royal Rumble. The match is rough but its Cena who pulls it out, hitting a low blow and following up with the FU for the victory! After the match, Cena grabs a microphone and cuts a scathing promo against Mr. Kennedy. Though he’s already scheduled to compete in the 30 man battle royal, he actually challenges KK to a rubber match at the Royal Rumble, saying he wants to make Kennedy his bitch twice in one night. He then drops the mic and storms up the ramp to tremendous heat from the audience.

In the backstage area, Kristal Marshall asks Kurt Angle his thoughts about winning the Rumble. Angle holds his head down before responding…

Kurt Angle: The Royal Rumble … (scoffs) I’ve been in that match several times before but this time its different -- its very different. Y’see this time is my last shot. I’ve used up every last one of my opportunities I’ve had at Batista only to get screwed out of it, or for Batista to get lucky or, or, or FOR SOME BULLSHIT TO HAPPEN AND COST ME MY WORLD TITLE!!!

Kristal looks startled by Angle’s sudden outburst of emotion. Angle wait’s a second or two to calm down before responding.

Kurt Angle: Being the best, being the champion, being the top dog … is what I do. I am nobody -- NOTHING without the World Heavyweight Championship. I would give everything I have, everything in my possession, everything I love and care about to hold my World Title again, the same championship I held for nine months on.

Angle looks at the camera, holding back an outbreak of emotion, maybe anger, maybe tears. He grabs his gold medals, which are around his neck, and holds them out for Kristal to see and then shows them to the camera.

Kurt Angle: 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist. Y’see this?

Angle then takes them off and violently flings them down the hallway as Kristal lets out a shriek and the crowd gasps.

Kurt Angle: THOSE MEDALS -- THAT SHIT MEANS NOTHING TO ME!!! NOTHING!! What the hell is some accomplishment -- some damn award that I won ten some odd years ago!? Huh, what good does that do me, huh!? Nothing means anything to me anymore … until I win the Royal Rumble -- NOTHING!! Not my gold medals, not my previous accomplishments, NOT EVEN MY WIFE, none of that means shit to me until I win the Royal Rumble and that World Heavyweight Championship is back around my waist!! Interview over!

Angle stares at Kristal with almost sick blue eyes and she backs away from Angle in fear.

After the break, we return to the locker room of Dave Batista and Ric Flair, with the Nature Boy hyping up the World Heavyweight Champion for the tag team main event match.

Back to in ring action where the “Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels puts his Cruiserweight Championship on the line against the man he took it from some time ago, Chris Sabin. The two put on a good match, moving at a faster pace than usual considering the match only ran seven minutes. The finish comes when Daniels get himself intentionally counted out, running out of the match and retaining his title.

After the break, we get a promo from Bobby Lashley (go ahead, jump for joy), hyping up the huge opportunity he gets a few weeks from now, in the thirty man Royal Rumble. Promo is nothing more than a way to give him some build and face time heading into the sixty minute spectacular.

The next match up the night takes place between two other Rumble competitors, Ken Kennedy and King Booker. The two men put on a pretty decent contest, with no outside interference from any parties. The finish comes when Booker takes KK down and goes to the top for a high flying move but he takes too long and Kennedy hits him with a right, making him lose his balance. Kennedy then grabs him and hit’s the Green Bay Plunge for the pin fall victory!! The crowd cheers for Kennedy as he gains even more momentum. KK grabs a microphone and accepts Cena’s challenge for the Royal Rumble!!!

Before we get to our final commercial break, we get a split screen of Batista and Flair confidently walking to the ringside area and on the other side, Triple H and The Rock arguing with each other (but the camera isn’t close enough to hear).

Finally, the main event. Hunter and Rock actually manage to coexist in the match up, taking the fight right to Batista and Flair. The end looks near when Rock hits The Rock Bottom on Flair and goes for the cover but Triple H pulls him off, wanting to earn the title match!! The two argue for a bit until Hunter pushes The Rock! Rocky has had enough and rocks Hunter with a right hand. Triple H retaliates and the two icons exchange shots in the middle of the ring amidst a huge reaction from the crowd!! On the outside, Batista grabs a steel chair and slides in!! He takes Rock out with a huge shot to the back, taking him down!! Hunter swings away on Batista but Flair comes from up behind and takes him out with a low blow!! The referee calls for the bell, signaling for the disqualification! The World Champion Batista then wears both Hunter and Rock out with chair shots, leaving them a broken mess in the ring!!

Batista then grabs his championship from ringside and he and Flair head back up the ramp with smirks on their faces before Stephanie appears at the top of the ramp. Batista and Flair both smile, thinking they’ve got over since no one won the match up, no one gets the title match. Stephanie announces that at the Royal Rumble it will be Batista defending the World Heavyweight Championship against The Rock AND Triple H in a triple threat match!!! The Animal and The Nature Boy throw a fit, bitching and moaning before staring back into the ring as both Rock and Hunter fume, while still lying on the canvas.

Another great recap. You captured how much winning the Rumble means to Kurt perfectly in that promo and a triple threat for the world title is the way to go.

WWE Smackdown Recap Notes:

Hello fellow Team USA North member. Here are some quick notes on Smackdown.

The Stephanie announcement for the tag match is interesting. Batista and Flair will definitely lose the match, but who will pin them? I got my money on The Rock, leading to The Rock vs Batista, which has never been done before. The idea of opponents teaming up to face other teams is a good idea. I like the whole Shelton Benjamin & Gregory Helms team. I see The Hardyz vs Team IWC (get it? ) at the Rumble if it hasn’t been announced yet. This angle is interesting. I’m glad that Regal is being used; he’s a good mid-carder. I see some kind of William Regal vs Finlay/Booker match soon. The Kennedy & Cena rubber match should be good, hopefully better than the one from No Mercy. Whoa, what a great little interview segment. You must be taking lessons from Szumi, because your promos are getting more and more emotional. Throwing the medals away was perfect. Also, this is the perfect time to turn Angle heel. Daniels runs away to retain to help him over as a heel. Lashley promo… Kennedy wins and accepts the challenge. Personally, I would have waited another week for him to accept to drag things out more. I liked the finish of the main event. Flair nailed Triple H though. Is Triple H #1 Contender now? The Triple Threat announcement was a good idea to clear the air of the confusion. Overall, this was a pretty good recap. I like that you did the Angle interview in full though. It really showed off your promo skill and Angle’s intensity.

RAW Preview for January 15th, 2007

Last week, Shawn Michaels earned the opportunity to compete for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble, challenging the “Legend Killer” Randy Orton. On Monday Night RAW, Michaels will be the first guest on the return of Carlito’s Cabana. What will HBK have to say about his upcoming title match and what will he have to say about his opponent? And will Randy Orton and “his” RKO Army make an appearance?

Speaking of Orton and the RKO Army, last week, Lita made an appearance and distracted Orton enough to get a taste of Sweet Chin Music. Will the fiery redhead make another appearance this upcoming Monday and can a certain superstar whom is Rated R be that far behind?

Jonathan Coachman has made a HUGE main event for RAW, which will see The Undertaker take on the 500 pound Big Show in somewhat of a prelude to the Royal Rumble. Last week, The Undertaker teamed up with Stone Cold Steve Austin teamed up to face The Big Show and Umaga. Will this Monday breed the same result? Which big man will pick up momentum on the long road to WrestleMania 23, which stops in San Antonio next Sunday at the Royal Rumble?

Several RAW superstars have already qualified for the Royal Rumble; Stone Cold, Undertaker, JBL, Chris Benoit, Big Show, Umaga and others have made into the big event. Recently, Intercontinental Champion Ken Doane, World Tag Team Champions MNM, and AMW made it into the event. On Monday Night RAW, one of the FINAL TWO SPOTS will be determined when Rob Van Dam takes on Sabu in a Extreme Rules Royal Rumble qualifier. Which former ECW alumnus will punch his ticket into the hour long spectacular?

Also on RAW, both the World Tag Team Champions and the Women’s Champion will be in action. MNM take on America’s Most Wanted in a non-title match while the Women’s Champion Mickie James teams up with Victoria to take on Mickie’s Rumble opponent Gail Kim and Trish Stratus.

All this and more on Monday Night RAW! 9/8 central!
