Our greatness……………..

Our accomplishments…………

………But what happens……

When we don’t get the respect that we deserve….

What will we do to get what we want……

Are we willing to turn on friends…..

Unleash the beast inside…

How much are we willing to go through…..

To reclaim what’s ours….

Tonight, legends will battle….

Legacies will be made……

Friendships may be destroyed…

Tonight, only the strong survive…..

The biggest battles of the Summer take place….

TONIGHT………

The video ends.

And now RAW….

And SmackDown! present….

SummerSlam!

The camera cuts to the arena, looking at the thousands of fans and signs which have been brought to the “World’s Most Famous Arena” Madison Square Garden in New York City.

***The pyro and fireworks explodes as the SummerSlam theme song, Remedy, plays. The fans cheer as loud as they can as the SmackDown! announcers, Joey Styles and Tazz, welcome us to the show.***

Joey Styles:
Hello everyone and welcome to SUMMERSLAM! I’m Joey Styles and I’m here with my broadcast partner, former ECW Champion Tazz and boy do we have a hell of a show in for these great New York fans.

Tazz:
It feels good to be home. These fans are pumped and can you blame them when we have this huge Main Event for them here tonight.

Styles:
Ladies and gentlemen, the biggest match of the year takes place tonight and its for the World Heavyweight Championship. The two biggest and most popular superstars on the SmackDown! roster collide here tonight. Batista challenges Kurt Angle for the World Heavyweight Championship. Tonight we find out who truly is the one and only World Heavyweight Champion.

Tazz:
Styles, lets not forget about the huge six man tag team match.

Styles:
King Booker and his Court take on Bobby Lashley, The Undertaker and a mystery partner, that no one except Teddy Long knows about. Speculation has been running rampant for two weeks about who it is. We find out tonight. Lets take you now to the RAW team!

Camera cuts to the RAW announce table.

Jim Ross:
Thanks you Joey and Tazz. Hello everyone. I’m Jim Ross here with Jerry “The King” Lawler and as big as the SmackDown title match is the WWE Title match is even bigger.

Jerry “The King” Lawler:
Absolutely J.R.! “The Rated R Superstar” Edge defends his WWE Championship against “The Game” Triple H and “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels! I guarantee that we see the self-destruction of DX tonight. Those two massive egos can’t survive together for much longer.

J.R.:
I wouldn’t be so sure King considering you’ve been saying that for weeks. And that’s not the only huge match-up we have tonight. Two bloody match ups will be made tonight. “The Legend Killer” Randy Orton takes on John Cena in a First Blood match.

King:
And if that’s going to be brutal, what about our hardcore match involving two legends tonight J.R.. “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair takes on Cactus Jack in what is sure to be, as you would say, a slobber knocker!

J.R.:
Absolutely King. Lets take it to our Spanish colleagues, Hugo Savinovich and Carlos Cabrera.

(Savinovich and Cabrera discuss the card in Spanish)

“Cool” hits to a good ovation. Carlito makes his way from the backstage area and down to the ring.

Lilian Garcia:
The following contest is a 6 man tag team match up and it is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from San Juan, Puerto Rico, weighing in at 220 pounds, CARLITO!

J.R.:
Each of the men on Carlito’s team has an agenda against The Rated R Army. Carlito’s problem with them: Johnny Nitro stole the Intercontinental Championship from right under Carlito’s grasp at Vengeance back at June.

King:
Nitro didn’t steal anything J.R.. Nitro is just an opportunist.

“Paparazzi” hits to a decent ovation. Joey Mercury walks down the ramp with a determined look on his face.

Lilian:
And his tag team partner, from Los Angeles, California, weighing in at 210 pounds, JOEY MERCURY!

King:
Mercury looks ready.

J.R.:
Mercury has been waiting a long time for this moment. He’s been wanting to get his hands on his former partner, Johnny Nitro, ever since Judgment Day which was all the way back in May.

“One of a Kind” hits to a Great ovation. Rob Van Dam, along with his manager Bill Alfonso, cockily walks down the ramp and towards the ring.

Lilian:
And their tag team partner, accompanied to the ring by Bill Alfonso, from Battle Creek, Michigan, weighing in at 237 pounds, Mr. Pay Per View, ROB VAN DAM!

J.R.:
A great ovation for Mr. Pay Per View here in New York City. RVD was screwed out of the WWE Title by Chris Masters on an edition of RAW. RVD has revenge on his usually laid back mind.

“Metalingus” hits to tremendous heat. Every member of The Rated R Army (except Edge & Lita) make their way to the ring as they are showered in boos.

Lilian:
And their opponents, accompanied to the ring by Melina and Ken Doane, at a combined weight of 819 pounds, representing The Rated R Army, “The Masterpiece” CHRIS MASTERS, SHELTON BENJAMIN and the Intercontinental Champion JOHNNY NITRO!

J.R.:
All these guys are great athletes but they’ve been led down the wrong path by Edge.

King:
Edge has told these guys the truth. They’ve been held back by this company. Edge told them what they needed to hear.

Match #1
Carlito, Joey Mercury & Rob Van Dam vs. The Rated R Army
Six Man Tag Match

Rob Van Dam and Shelton Benjamin are the two superstars that will start the match off. Van Dam and Benjamin engage in a collar and elbow tie up in the center of the ring. Van Dam gives Benjamin an arm drag. Benjamin and Van Dam quickly get back up to their feet. Van Dam charges at and Benjamin gives Van Dam an arm drag. Van Dam goes for a leg sweep but Shelton jumps to avoid it. Shelton goes for his patented stiff roundhouse kick but this time Van Dam ducks. Rob Van Dam and Shelton Benjamin square off as the fans give the two incredibly athletic men a nice round of applause.

Van Dam has a grin on his face as Shelton looks at him with a frustrated look on his face. Van Dam does his signature taunt as the fans chant along. “ROB VAN DAM!” Benjamin attempts to kick Van Dam in the gut but Van Dam catches Shelton’s leg. Van Dam hits a step over heel kick, knocking Shelton to the canvas. Van Dam goes over to his corner and tags in Carlito which receives a good pop from the sold out crowd. Benjamin gets up and tags in “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters.

Masters comes right at Carlito and throws a big right hand. Carlito ducks and makes Masters pay for his mistake. The southpaw, Carlito, hits “The Masterpiece” with a succession of left handed punches. Carlito then shoots Masters off of the ropes. When Masters comes back, Carlito drills him with a beautiful dropkick. With a big smile on his face, Carlito lifts Masters up and shoots him off of the ropes again. But this time, Carlito gets set too early and Masters kicks him square in the head. Masters then charges forward and drills Carlito with a nasty clothesline taking the cool Carlito down to the mat.

Mercury and Nitro brawl in the ring for several seconds before the referee gets in between the two and separates them by pulling Mercury off of Nitro. Mercury charges at Nitro again but Nitro catches Mercury right on the chin with his variation of a Super Kick causing Mercury to fall limp back down to the canvas. Nitro covers Mercury and here goes the first cover of the match.

Masters tags in Shelton Benjamin. Benjamin enters the ring and stomps on Mercury in the corner. Benjamin then goes to the opposite corner and taunts Carlito and Rob Van Dam. Van Dam and Carlito try to enter the ring but the referee stops them. Masters and Nitro, using the referee distraction, enter the ring, pull Mercury out of the corner and hit Mercury with a hard tandem vertical suplex. Masters and Nitro roll out of the ring undetected by the referee as he was distracted on the other side of the ring. Benjamin goes back over to Mercury and covers him.

Mercury counters the move by hitting Benjamin with several stiff elbows to the head, causing Benjamin to release the hold. Mercury shoots off of the ropes and charges at Benjamin, but Benjamin counters into a quick and nasty Samoan drop. Benjamin quickly goes for the cover.

One………………..

…………………

Two…………

….NO!

Mercury once again manages to get his shoulder up. Frustrated, Benjamin tags in the Intercontinental Champion Johnny Nitro. Nitro enters the ring and begins arrogantly slapping Mercury on his head. Mercury, out of instinct and desperation, hits Nitro with a hard right hand to the face. Nitro retaliates and hit’s a hard right of his own. The two former MNM teammates exchange right hands in the middle of the ring. Nitro hits Mercury with a hard knee to the gut, which cuts off Mercury’s momentum. Nitro shoots his ex-partner off of the ropes and attempts a clothesline. Mercury ducks the clothesline, grabs Nitro’s neck and hits his Hangman’s neck breaker. The referee begins his ten count as both wrestlers are laid out in the middle of the ring. 1.………2.……………3.………….4.………….Mercury begins to crawl over to his corner as Nitro does the same. 5.………6.………7.…….. Carlito then clothesline “The Masterpiece” over the top rope. Carlito springboards off of the top rope and hits Masters with a helo on the outside, taking Masters and himself out. Back in the ring, Nitro and Benjamin are brawling with Van Dam and Mercury. Melina jumps up onto the apron. As the referee is distracted by Melina, Nitro gives Mercury a sharp, quick kick to the crotch. Nitro then grabs Mercury and throws his former tag team partner out of the ring.

Nitro then interrupts the brawl between Van Dam and Benjamin by attacking Van Dam from behind. Benjamin and Nitro double team Van Dam and shoot him off of the ropes. When Van Dam comes back, Nitro and Benjamin attempt a double clothesline. Van Dam ducks and hits Nitro with a spin kick. Benjamin attacks Van Dam as Nitro rolls out of the ring. Benjamin Irish whips Van Dam into the corner. Shelton then charges at RVD. Van Dam gets his right boot up and it hits Shelton square in the face. Van Dam then tries to capitalize by charging right at Benjamin. Benjamin, with cat-like reflexes, grabs Van Dam and hit’s a beautiful and powerful T-Bone suplex. Benjamin could have the win but instead goes over to the corner and leaps to the top turnbuckle. The fans begin to boo Benjamin as they realize what he is doing. Benjamin leaps off the top, getting tremendous height, and goes for a Five Star Frog Splash but Van Dam rolls out of the way and avoids the contact. Van Dam gets back up to his feet as the other four men are all up and brawling at ringside. Van Dam climbs to the top turnbuckle. Van Dam looks around a bit and then leap off of the turnbuckle and hits Benjamin with the Five Star Frog Splash. Van Dam with the cover on Shelton.

J.R.:
That was a hell of a match but end the end Mr. Monday night, Mr. Pay Per View picks up the win for his team.

King:
Benjamin had the win but he got cocky. This is not a good sign for Edge. This could be some kind of an omen.

J.R.:
SummerSlam is off to a hell of a start!

***We cut to the backstage area into Rey Mysterio’s locker room***

Mysterio is warming up in his locker room when there is a knock at the door.

Rey:
I’m ready! Big Show is gonna wish he never messed with the 6.…1.….9!

Rey:
Matt, I understand that you want Big Show. But he cost me the World Championship. He’s been chokeslamming me week after week. I’m sorry Matt but you can get him after I’m done.

Hardy begins talking, but a little more frustrated this time.

Hardy:
Rey….He choke slammed me off of a ladder and through a table! And after the match he wasn’t done. That huge bastard tried to damn near kill me. I need him tonight.

Rey answers but this time Mysterio seems a little more hostile.

Rey:
Matt, I know you want him……but tonight is my night.

Rey walks out of the locker room as Hardy looks on shocked.

***We cut back to ringside***

***We return to the backstage area with The Coach standing by.***

The Coach:
Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to one of the competitors in tonight’s triple threat WWE Title match. One-half of D-Generation X, “The Game” TRIPLE H!

Triple H comes into screenshot receiving a great pop from the sold out New York audience.

Coach:
Triple H, you are just…

Triple H:
Shut up Coach! And take those stupid Ray Charles glasses off. Everybody knows what you are going to ask me. First you’re going to ask me about my thoughts on the WWE Title match.

Coach shakes his head “yes“.

Triple H:
Then you’ll ask me something about DX and my friendship with Shawn Michaels. Is DX breaking up? Are you and Shawn having a problem?

Coach:
I was…

Triple H:
Coach….shut up. The fact of the matter is that I am heading into a match with the WWE Champion, Edge, and one of the biggest icons in the history of the business, Shawn Michaels.

Audience pops for Michaels’ name.

Triple H:
But what you fail to realize is, Shawn Michaels is kinda like the Chicago White Sox and Edge is kinda like the Boston Red Sox.

The New York audience boos the mention of two rival teams.

Triple H:
Don’t get riled up New York City. There’s a point coming. Both of those baseball teams are great. But the fact is I’m the New York Yankees.

Audience pops for the Yankees mention as some Mets’ fans boo.

Triple H:
You can bitch and moan year in and year out about why the Yankees are in the Playoffs. “They have a huge payroll.” “They play in a huge market.” But the fact of the matter is once they are there, they get the job done and that’s why they have 26 World Championships.

The audience pops for the statement.

Triple H:
You can whine and complain about why I am in a WWE Title match…again. You can say its politics or whatever makes you feel better about yourself. But I am a 10 Time World Champion. And I will stop at nothing to make it 11! Now does the fact that my best friend is in the match cause a problem?

Triple H thinks about it for a quick second.

Triple H:
No. Not at all. I’d hit my own grandmother with a sledgehammer if it meant I became champion again.

Triple H looks right at the camera.

Triple H:
Shawn, Edge, I guarantee that I will walk out of Madison Square Garden the new….What the hell do you want?

Mr. McMahon walks into screenshot with a big smile on his face.

Triple H:
What’s got you so happy? Do old folks diapers come in thong style now?

The audience laughs at Hunter’s comment.

McMahon:
No Hunter. I….

Triple H:
Don’t worry. It’ll happen eventually.

McMahon:
Hilarious. Hunter, I’m smiling because its good to see the old Triple H back. I was getting worried for a second. I actually thought that this DX phase would last. You see Hunter, you and me, we’re a lot a like.

Triple H:
I’m not ugly.

More laughs from the crowd.

McMahon:
(Ignoring his comment) We’re competitive. We thrive to be the best. And in doing so we’ll screw over anybody we have to, to get what we want. The only problem Hunter is that your friend Shawn Michaels, is the exact same way. I mean I didn’t exactly struggle to convince Shawn to screw over Bret Hart. Shan screwed over Bret for one reason and one reason only.

A small “You screwed Bret” chant rings out as McMahon continues.

McMahon:
You see, Michaels wanted the WWE Title then just like he wants it NOW! You chew on that as I take my ugly self out of here and find those diapers you were talking about.

McMahon smiles at Hunter and walks away. Triple H watches Vince with a contemplative look.

***Back to ringside***

King:
Mr. McMahon makes a good point J.R..

J.R.:
You can see it. Mr. McMahon is trying to drive a wedge between Triple H and Shawn Michaels here tonight. Anyway ladies and gentlemen, coming up next, two legends go at it. Two future Hall of Famers trying to destroy each other.

King:
This will be one of the most vicious and brutal matches of the year J.R..

J.R.:
I just want to say off the bat, this match may not be for all members of the family especially some of the smaller children. That’s the grandfather in me. This match will not be for the weak of heart.

*WOOOOO!!!!*

“Space Odyssey 3000” hits to a HUGE ovation. “The Nature Boy” walks out to the ring dressed in one of his signature robes. Flair doesn’t strut or taunt on his way to the ring as he is imply focused on the task at hand.

Lilian:
The following contest is the HARDCORE MATCH!

Loud pop.

Lilian:
Introducing first, from Charlotte, North Carolina, weighing in at 245 pounds, “The Nature Boy” RIC FLAIR!

J.R.:
He is perhaps the greatest wrestler of all time. But has The Nature Boy bitten off more than he can chew tonight.

King:
You damn right he has J.R.. Jack may end Flair’s career here tonight.

“Born to be Wild” hits to a mixed reaction. Cactus Jack walks down the ramp with a Barbwire bat already in his hand. Jack walks slowly towards the ring as Flair calls him in. Lilian quickly exits the ring as Jack slowly climbs onto the apron. Jack enters the ring and takes a huge swing at Flair but he ducks and then hits him with a hard right hand. The referee calls for the bell…

Match #3
“The Nature Boy” Ric Flair vs. “The Hardcore Legend” Cactus Jack
Hardcore Match

Flair hits Jack with hard rights and lefts to the face as the audience goes wild as Jack is unable to get his hands up to block the punches! Flair pulls back and hit’s the hardcore legend with a couple of knife edged chops as the fans in attendance “WHOO!” each and every time. Flair shoots Jack into the ropes but he manages to hold on to the ropes. The Nature Boy charges ahead but is dumped up and over the top rope, to the outside of the ring. Flair hit’s the padding on the ground hard and almost rolls onto the entrance ramp as Cactus Jack recovers from Flair’s opening offense. Jack shakes off the beating and puts a smile on his face as he realizes he now has the advantage. He exit’s the ring and follows Flair to the outside.

Jack grabs Flair by the hair and lifts him up to his feet. Flair surprisingly recovers, swipes Jack’s hands away from him and continues to attack. Flair delivers another chop to Jack which causes him to slowly back his way onto the steel ramp. Flair hits another! And then another! Flair struts as the New York audience applauds The Nature Boy. Flair charges at Jack but the hardcore legend takes the Dirtiest Player in the Game over with a back body drop and Flair lands back first on the steel ramp! Flair grabs his back in pain as Jack angrily mounts him. He then begins firing away with right hands to the face of The Nature Boy. Jack gets off of Flair and makes the “bang bang” sign to the fans as they shower him in heat.

Jack stays on the attack, kicking The Nature Boy right in the face. He then lifts Flair up, tucks him in between his legs and prepares to piledrive him on the steel ramp! Jack manages to get him up partially but cant manage to fully lift him up. Flair gets his own feet back on the ground and attempts to take Jack over with a back body drop of his own! Jack fights Flair off and delivers a stiff double axe handle to his back. Frustrated, The Hardcore Legend grabs Flair by the hair and drags him closer to the ring. Jack then attempts to Irish whip Flair into the steel steps but The Nature Boy reverses it and Jack slams into the steps knees first! Flair then re-enters the ring and picks up the barb wired baseball bat that Foley brought into the ring! The audience pops huge as Flair exit’s the ring and waits on Cactus Jack to make it back up to his feet. Jack wearily gets up to his feet, clearly not himself after that ride into the steps. He turns around and gets hit with THE BAT RIGHT IN THE GUT!
Flair pulls the bat back and partially rips Cactus Jack’s shirt as some of the barbwire got caught!

Jack bends over clutching his stomach from that last shot. Flair lifts up the Barbwire bat and strikes Cactus Jack in the back causing him to go down in tremendous pain. Half of the audience cheers wildly as the other half are in a stunned silence at the brutality of the match. Flair then mounts the back of Jack and rakes the bat along the back of his head, as The Hardcore Legend screams in pain. Flair tries to pull the bat off but it gets stuck in the hair of Jack. Flair snatches it out, turns him over and goes for the pin fall.

Two…………

NO!

Jack kicks out of the first pinfall of the match. Flair then searches under the ring, looking for a weapon to inflict more pain and punishment on his hated rival. After 30 seconds of searching for something, The Nature Boy pulls out a TABLE! The audience cheers loudly as they know carnage is about to ensue. Jack crawls up behind Flair as he is setting up the table at ringside. Jack delivers a nasty low blow to Flair sending him down to the ground as the fans boo the actions of the former Mick Foley. Jack gets up to his feet and finishes setting up the table that Flair started. Jack hits Flair with more right hands before putting him on top of the table. He hit’s a few more right hands to the face before staring into the crowd. The audience responds by booing The Hardcore Legend as Jack rolls into the ring. Jack climbs to the top turnbuckle as the spectators in attendance rise to their feet in anticipation of what Cactus Jack plans to do. Jack leaps off the top turnbuckle hoping to drop an elbow but Flair rolls off the table and Jack CRASHES THROUGH IT!

The crowd erupts as Jack lays among dozens of pieces of shattered table. Flair crawls over and manages to barely get a hand over the chest of Cactus Jack. The referee gets in position and counts the cover.

Jack barely manages to get a shoulder up and keep the hardcore match going. Flair slowly gets up to his feet and walks over to the announce table area. Flair snatches the ring bell from the timekeeper’s position and walks back over to where Jack is still laid out. Flair yells at Cactus “Get up you son of a bitch!” Jack begins getting up off the ground, keeping his back towards Flair the whole time. Cactus slowly gets up as Flair wait, ready to strike him with the ring bell. Cactus gets up and turns around. Flair goes to hit him with the ring bell but before he can Cactus drills him in the face with a piece of the broken table! Flair is dropped like a bad habit as a sadistic smile comes over the face of Cactus Jack. Several members of the audience cringe as The Nature Boy has been busted open by that last shot!

Cactus drops the broken off piece of wood and begins laughing, knowing that he has just outsmarted his legendary opponent. Cactus then reaches under the ring and pulls out a cookie sheet. Jack throws it in the ring and then refocuses his attention on his opponent, the bloody Ric Flair. Cactus throws him into the ring and then follows. He lifts up the bloody legend, tucks his head underneath his arm, hooks the arms of The Nature Boy and then DROPS him with a Double Arm DDT onto the metal sheet. Cactus with the cover.

Flair barely manages to get a shoulder up as the fans pop big time. Surprisingly, Cactus’ face doesn’t show a look of concern or frustration but one of enjoyment, as he prepares to inflict more pain. Jack rolls out of the ring as Flair tries to wipe the blood away from his face. Cactus walks over to the area near the announce table and grabs a steel chair. He re-enters the ring and waits for The Nature Boy to get back to his feet. Flair manages to get on his knees and Cactus prepares to strike. Jack lifts the chair high over his head but stops when Flair hit’s a low blow causing Cactus to drop the steel chair.

A bloody Flair slowly manages to get up to his feet as Cactus is now the one on his knees. Flair uses his left arm to hold Cactus still as he punches away with his right. The Nature Boy rains down punches on Jack with extreme intensity. Flair then bites the forehead of Cactus as the New York audience applauds. Flair picks up the steel chair as Cactus remains on his knees, stunned. Flair pulls back and NAILS him right in the face with the steel chair!! Flair gets on his knees and manages to get the cover on Cactus.

Cactus kicks out at the last second just managing to keep the match up going. Flair gets off of Cactus, frustrated that he did not pick up the victory over his legendary opponent. Flair gets off the ground and stomps on Cactus’ face in frustration. Flair then lifts Jack up and shoots him into the corner. He picks up the steel chair lying in the ring and picks it up. Flair charges into the corner and attempts to hit Cactus. He avoids contact and the chair bounces off of the turnbuckle and BACK INTO THE BLOODY FACE OF FLAIR! Flair hit’s the canvas back first as Cactus holds himself up with the ropes. Cactus then grabs the chair and puts it into the middle of the ring. He lifts Flair up and sticks him in between his legs. The crowd stands in anticipation as Jack gives a sick smile. He lifts Flair up and DROPS him with A SICK PILEDRIVER ON THE CHAIR! A “Holy Shit!” chant breaks out as a bloody Flair is motionless in the middle of the ring! Cactus crawls over and covers Flair, thinking that the match is over after the sick piledriver!

Two……………

……………

THRE. NO!

Flair manages to kick out, much to the shock and delight of the crowd! Jack sits up on the mat and begins pulling and tearing away at his hair in frustration. Cactus’ look of frustration quickly turns into a smile as he apparently has come up with a plan. He rolls out of the ring and begins searching for a weapon under it. The crowd lets out a loud pop as Cactus pulls out a black bag! The audience knows what’s coming as Jack opens up the bag and turns it upside down. The crowd erupts as Cactus pours out THUMB TACKS all over the ring! Flair struggles to just barely get on his hands and knees as the blood loss & the punishment from this match has really begun to wear the Nature Boy down. Cactus lifts Flair the rest of the way up to his feet and tucks him getting ready for a PILEDRIVER ON THE TACKS! The audience gives out a tremendous pop when Flair counters the piledriver into a back body drop and CACTUS LANDS ON THE TACKS!!!

The crowd goes crazy as Cactus lays on the tacks, almost in shock of the incredible pain he is in. Blood begins to trickle from the exposed arms of Jack. Flair crawls over a thumbtack or two and towards the ropes. The Nature boy uses them to pull himself off of the ground as Cactus is still in the thumbtacks in pain. Flair wipes the blood from his face, bends down and picks up the steel chair from the ground! Cactus slowly gets up to his feet as Flair wields the chair, waiting for his opponent to get to his feet. Jack walks towards a bloody Flair and he gets DRILLED WITH A CHAIR SHOT! Cactus is stunned but does not go down! Cactus punches himself in the head and yells at Flair, “Is that all you got, you old son of a bitch!” Flair, enraged, swings the chair again and once more drills The Hardcore Legend in the face! Cactus stumbles even more but amazingly still doesn’t go down. Flair gets pissed off and decides to go for one more chair shot. Jack counters and back body drops Flair ONTO THE TACKS!

The crowd groans as Flair screams out in pain. The scene is almost too hard to watch as Cactus passes out and falls face first on the canvas while Flair is now bleeding from his face and his back. Another “Holy Shit!” chant rings out and Flair struggles to his feet as Cactus does the same thing just a short distance away. Both Cactus and a bloody Flair make it up to a vertical base at the same time. Cactus comes out firing, drilling his bloody opponent with one right hand after another. Jack then backs up, charge ahead and takes Flair & himself over the top rope with a Cactus clothesline! Flair hit’s the ground hard but Jack lands on his feet.

Cactus smiles as he realizes he is clearly in the driver seat, in what has been an extremely brutal match up. The Hardcore Legend goes over to the Spanish announce table and begins to clear off the table. Cactus gets rid of the monitors, the top and the extra wires. Jack then goes one table over and begins clearing off the SmackDown! Announce position as well. Jack lifts a limp, bloody Flair up and hits him with a hard right hand, causing him to land on the SD announce table. Cactus also climbs aboard the table and slowly lifts Flair up to his feet. Jack tucks Flair in between his legs and is apparently setting up for a power bomb from one table to another! Jack lifts Flair up but The Nature Boy fights it off. Cactus tries to lifts him up again but Flair continues to fight it, knowing that the match will be over if he doesn’t. Flair drops to his knees and drills Jack with a low blow!

The audience erupts as a bloody Flair attempts to make a comeback. Flair stands up on the table as Cactus holds his groin. Flair sticks Jack’s head underneath his arm as he does the same with his head. Flair grabs a hold of Cactus’ tights and prepares for what looks like a vertical suplex! Flair lifts Jack up but instead of hitting a vertical suplex, Flair drops straight down AND TAKES CACTUS AND HIMSELF OUT WITH A BRAINBUSTER THROUGH THE TABLE!

Flair and Cactus lay among the broken tables and announcers chairs in a heap as the referee looks on. The SmackDown! Commentator’s position is totally destroyed as Flair and Jack still lay motionless. A loud “FLAIR” chant rings out as Flair begins to slightly move. Flair manages to get a hand over Cactus in an attempt to pick up the victory.

Lilian:

The winner of the match, RIC FLAIR!

Flair and Jack continue to stay in the same position for another dozen seconds before a bloody Flair tries to make it to his feet. The audience stands on their feet and applauds as The Nature Boy gets up, battered and worn down from the grueling, bloody contest. Flair raises his hands in the air as the audience begins another “FLAIR!” chant.

J.R.:
The Nature Boy Ric Flair has done it!

King:
That’s unbelievable, Ric Flair has beaten the Hardcore Legend in a hardcore match.

J.R.:
Flair needed to become as sick and sadistic as Cactus Jack to win this match up and boy was he sick.

*Highlights of the match are shown.*

***We cut to the backstage area with Josh Matthews standing by.***

Matthews:
Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time, the 500 pound BIG SHOW!

The Big Show and Paul Heyman come into screenshot receiving tremendous heat from the audience.

Matthews:
Big Show, we are just moments away from your huge match up with Rey Mysterio. How do you feel?

Heyman:
How does he feel? Look at this man. This man is 500 pounds. He is over 7 feet tall. He is the most dominant force in professional wrestling today. This is the same man that damn near ended Matt Hardy’s career at The Great American Bash.

Crowd boos.

Heyman:
This is the man that took a poor helpless announcer, in Michael Cole, and broke him in half.

Show smiles and rubs his hands together in anticipation.

Heyman:
But you see as helpless as Michael Cole was, The Big Show’s opponent tonight is even more helpless. Rey Mysterio…

Pop for Mysterio’s name. Heyman looks annoyed that he had to stop for the cheers.

Heyman:
Rey Mysterio is helpless because he is quite possibly the dumbest man on the planet. He had an out. He saw an escape. All Rey Mysterio had to do was say ‘yes’. All he had to do was say ‘Yes Matt Hardy. You can take my spot.’ Instead Rey Mysterio has decided to go along with his own execution.

More heat.

Heyman:
Tonight, we may just see the end of Rey Mysterio’s career. And is Matt Hardy thinks about getting involved…

Heyman looks back at Show who stares at the camera with a disgruntled expression.

Heyman:
Then its quite possible that Rey Mysterio will have someone to talk to when he’s laid up in the hospital.

More heat as Heyman and Big Show walk off.

*Back to ringside*

“Booyaka 619” hits to a great pop from the New York audience. Rey Mysterio shoots out and onto the stage. Mysterio makes his way down the ramp, slapping the hands of the fans. Mysterio enters the ring and poses on the turnbuckle.

Chimel:
The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from San, Diego, California, weighing in at 165 pounds, REY MYSTERIO!

Styles:
This should be very interesting. The 7 foot, 500 pound Big Show takes on the 5 foot 5, 165 pound Rey Mysterio.

Tazz:
There’s an old saying. Its not the size of the dog in the fight. It’s the size of the fight in the dog.

Styles:
Yeah.

Tazz:
Well, that doesn’t apply here. The Big Show may crush Mysterio here tonight.. This match will not be pretty.

*WELLLLL…WELLLL IT’S THE BIG SHOWWWW!!!*

“Crank It Up” hits to a momentous amount of heat. The Big Show and his manager, Paul Heyman, walk towards the ring. Show has an angry expression as he looks to cause even more destruction.

Chimel:
And his opponent, accompanied to the ring by Paul Heyman, from Tampa, Florida, standing at 7 feet tall, weighing in at 507 pounds, THE BIG SHOW!

Styles:
Will The Big Show’s path of destruction continue tonight? First it was Matt Hardy, then announcer Michael Cole. Is Rey Mysterio next?

Rey grabs his back in pain as Show lifts him back up and throws him into the ring.

Show steps over the top rope and re-enters the ring. Show stands over Mysterio and reaches down to choke him with his huge right hand. Show gets back up to a vertical base and Mysterio comes flying off the top with a seated senton! The Big Show catches Rey and holds him in position before delivering a power bomb on the floor below!!! The New York crowd begins a “Holy Shit!” chant as Mysterio lays on the ground motionless.

The Big Show lifts Rey up and throws him over his shoulder. Show then climbs up the ring steps before tossing Mysterio over the top rope and back into the ring. He enters the ring and kicks at the back of the fallen Mysterio, who has not moved on his own power since the power bomb. The Big Show continues to mock Rey, bending down and slapping him upside his head before lifting him up to his feet. Shockingly, Rey gets a surge of energy and jumps on Show. Mysterio, ferociously swings away with right hands. Unaffected by Rey’s attack, flings Mysterio across the ring. Rey crashes into the referee, taking him completely out.

The Big Show surveys the damage he has caused and motions for his manager, Paul Heyman, to bring him something. Heyman runs around ringside and grabs a steel chair. He slides it into the ring and The Big Show picks it up. Show stands over Mysterio and prepares to drill him with the chair but Rey reaches up and hits Show with a low blow! Show stays up and Mysterio hits him again but Big Show still doesn’t go down! Rey pulls back and whacks Show with the chair in the head! Miraculously, The Big Show still stays on his feet! Show yells at Mysterio, mocking Rey for not being able to take him down. Rey pulls back and prepares to hit Show with a chair again but Show throws a right hand and sends the chair back in Mysterio’s face!!

Rey Mysterio gets knocked out as Show gets back to his feet and shakes the cobwebs out, trying to recover from the numerous chair shots. The Big Show lifts Mysterio up and applies the Cobra Clutch! He lifts Rey up and hit’s the Cobra Clutch Backbreaker before flinging Mysterio across the ring! Show pulls the strap on his outfit down as the audience groans, knowing what’s coming next. Show raises his right hand in the air, letting out a barbaric yell, signaling that the choke slam is coming!

Madison Square Garden erupts as Matt Hardy runs to the ring! Hardy slides in the ring and The Big Show immediately takes a huge swing. Hardy ducks Show’s hand and nails a right hand to the face. And then another. Hardy shoots off the ropes and charges at Show. The Big Show catches Hardy and wraps his huge right hand around his throat. Knowing the choke slam is coming, Hardy kicks Show square in the groin and then delivers a kick to the gut! Hardy applies a front face lock, before twisting and hitting The Twist of Fate!! Hardy drags Rey, pulls him on top of The Big Show and then rolls out of the ring. The referee slowly crawls into position, still in pain from getting hurt earlier. He counts the pin fall slowly.

Chimel:

Here is your winner The Big Show!

Styles:
Rey put up a hell of an effort but on this night The Big Show was just too much for Mysterio to handle.

Tazz:
Chokeslam off of the top rope. Sick move man but look at Hardy.

Matt Hardy stares a hole through The Big Show and Paul Heyman as they walk up the ramp, totally ignoring Hardy. Matt stares back into the ring and looks at a fallen Rey Mysterio. Hardy shakes his head in disappointment and anger, upset that Mysterio didn’t get the job done.

Styles:
What’s that look all about?

Tazz:
Well if I’m Hardy, I’m pissed off right now.

Styles:
For what!?

Tazz:
First off, Mysterio refuses to give up his slot in the match up and then he loses! Hardy is pissed and he’s got a right to be.

Styles:
I don’t know about all of that Tazz but can anyone on this planet stop The Big Show!?

*Backstage with Maria standing by*

Maria:
Ladies and gentlemen, John Cena!

Cena comes into screenshot, receiving a very mixed reaction from the New York audience.

Maria:
John we are moments away from your First Blood match with Randy Orton. My question is, are you scared Randy Orton will make you bleed again?

Cena begins to answer but then looks at Maria with a puzzled look.

Cena:
Scared?

Maria shakes her head “yes”.

Cena:
I FEAR NOTHING AND I REGRET LESS!

Maria cowers as Cena shows a new level of intensity!

Cena:
Randy Orton has done everything he possibly could’ve done to take me out! You think I’m scared Randy! You can bust me open! You can give me the RKO! You can hit me with a steel chair! But the fact is you can do all you want and it just won’t be enough!

Mixed reaction.

Cena:
I don’t give a damn what the marquee says! Tonight is not SummerSlam! Tonight is Randy Orton’s JUDGMENT DAY! Randy Orton, tonight you get everything you gave me back tenfold! You made me bleed. Tonight, YOU BLEED BUCKETS! Randy, in a few short seconds, you get your ass kicked!

Louder Mixed reaction.

Cena:
And you get it kicked by Jo….

???:
MMIIISSSTTEERRR KKEENNEEDDYY!!!

The WWE Tag Team Champions, Mr. Kennedy and JBL, come into screenshot receiving a pretty positive response from the crowd

Kennedy:
KENNEDY!!! Look JBL its John Cena.

Cena keeps a cold look on his face as JBL and Kennedy smirk.

JBL:
I see John and look, he’s doing that thing where he pretends to be tough. Johnny boy, listen to me, you’re a flash in the pan. You use to be the hot commodity in wrestling. Everybody wanted a piece of John Cena. Now look at you. Just another guy.

Cena begins to grow more upset as he stares a hole through JBL.

Kennedy:
John…..John…hello?

Cena turns his attention to Mr. Kennedy.

Kennedy:
Tick tock….tick tock….by my watch…yep, your fifteen minutes of fame are just about up. You’ve been passed by….which is a shame considering you’re still a young guy.

JBL:
And a nice one.

Kennedy:
Cant wrestle worth a damn but still a nice one.

Cena seems to be at a boiling point.

Kennedy:
Face it Cena. These past few weeks, you’ve been on your back more times than Paris Hilton.

The crowd “ohs” as JBL begins laughing.

JBL:
More than Jenna Jameson.

Kennedy laughs as Cena stares motionless.

Kennedy:
More than you’re mother.

Cena looks up and his face has turned pale with anger.

Kennedy:
Cena, I was just kidding. I was…

Cena tackles Kennedy to the ground and begins nailing him with rights and lefts, taking out his anger on the arrogant superstar! JBL punches and kicks at Cena’s back but Cena continues the assault on Mr. Kennedy. Security guards finally show up and pull Cena off of Kennedy. JBL lifts Kennedy up and the WWE Tag Team Champion scurry away. Cena continues to fume as security continues to hold him back.

*Back to ringside*

J.R.:
My God! John Cena is enraged! Mr. Kennedy and JBL from SmackDown! may have just gotten Randy Orton in a whole bunch of trouble.

King:
But maybe they just helped him out J.R.

J.R.:
How the hell do you figure that King? Did you just see that?

King:
Maybe Cena will be so focused on Kennedy and JBL, he won’t be able to focus on this next match.

Lilian:
The following contest is the FIRST BLOOD MATCH! The only way to win the match is by drawing blood from your opponent.

The audience pops, ready for the brutal match to get underway.

“Burn In My Light” hits to a mixed reaction. “The Legend Killer” Randy Orton makes his way from behind the curtain and onto the stage. Orton does his “destiny” pose at the top of the ramp as his pyro falls. Orton continues on his way down to the ring as his introduction is heard.

Lilian:
Introducing first, from St. Louis, Missouri, weighing in at 245 pounds, “The Legend Killer” RANDY ORTON!

J.R.:
Randy Orton is the most arrogant man in the WWE today. We’ve always known that but the viciousness that this man has shown recently is scary.

King:
Orton is trying to show the world that he is the future of this business, not John Cena.

“My Time is Now” hits to a incredibly loud mixed reaction. Cena comes out, acting very differently than he usually acts. Cena is not running around, hyped on the top of the stage but rather looks focused on the task at hand.

Lilian:

And his opponent, from St. Louis, Missouri, weighing in at 255 pounds, JOHN CENA!

Match #5
Randy Orton vs. John Cena
First Blood Match

John Cena and Randy Orton stare at each other from across the ring as the bell rings to start this First Blood match up off. Orton has his trademark cocky smirk on his face as Cena stares at him with a look of anger. Cena charges towards Orton and the brawl is on. Cena hits his arrogant opponent with hard right hands as Orton responds in kind. The two young athletes exchange punches in the center of the ring until Cena eventually gains the upper hand. Cena shoots him into the ropes and takes him up and over with a back body drop. Orton gets back to his feet, only to have Cena clothesline him over the top.

Cena follows to the outside as Orton holds his back. Orton tries crawling away from Cena but “The Champ” will have none of it! Cena grabs Orton by his hair and lifts him off the ground. He then drags Orton over to the RAW announce table and slams his face on it! And then again! And then again! Cena shows his intensity by throwing Orton across the table, damn near into the lap of Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler!

Ross and Lawler clear out as Cena jumps over the table and continues to attack Orton. Cena rains down right hands on Orton as the camera sort of loses the view of the two superstars. Cena lifts Orton off the ground and throws him back over the table. Orton crawls into the ring, trying to get away from a possessed John Cena. Cena grabs a steel chair from ringside and enters the ring. Cena goes to hit Orton with the chair but The Legend Killer jumps up and hit’s a dropkick, causing the chair to smack Cena in the face. Some fans pop while many women in the crowd boo. The referee checks Cena’s face for blood, trying to see if the young man from Boston has been busted open…..

NO!

Cena’s face is clean but that doesn’t deter Orton from continuing the attack. Orton gets off the ground, smirking and walks over to the corner. Orton struggles for a couple of seconds but eventually is able to take off the pad from the turnbuckle. With the metal of the turnbuckle now exposed, Orton goes back to work. He lifts Cena off the ground and brings him towards the exposed turnbuckle. Orton tries to slam the face of Cena into the metal but Cena blocks it, bracing his hands on the ropes. Cena hits Orton with a right hand to gut of Orton and attempts to slam Orton into the turnbuckle! Orton blocks it, hits Cena with a punch to the gut and tops it off with a thumb to the eye. Cena stumbles backwards and Orton comes charging in. The third generation superstar charges at Cena but Cena catches him with a power slam taking out Orton!

Cena lifts Orton up and throws him over the top rope. He follows Orton to the outside once more as the referee does the same. Cena lifts Orton up but The Legend Killer catches him with a quick thumb to the eye. Orton then grabs Cena’s arm and shoots him into the steel steps! Cena’s shoulder smacks the steps and knocks them over. Cena clutches his shoulder in pain as Orton walks over to the steps and lifts them up. Orton waits for his opponent to make it back up to his feet and then The Legend Killer charges and DRILLS Cena right in the face with the steel steps! Cena drops to the ground in a heap and rolls on his stomach. The referee takes a look at his face to see if he’s been busted open….

NO!

Orton throws the steps down and takes a walk around the ringside area, smirking arrogantly at the fans in attendance. Madison Square Garden gives Orton a mixed reaction, as for some strange reason, New York doesn’t like John Cena and are glad to see Orton on the offensive. Orton slides into the ring and rests his back against the turnbuckle as Cena struggles to make it to his feet on the outside. Orton fakes a yawn as Cena crawls into the ring still very much shaken up from that shot with the steel steps. Cena enters the ring and gets up only to be met with a stiff dropkick from Randy Orton.

Orton then picks up the chair which Cena brought in earlier and gets ready to do some damage. He waves for Cena to get up to his feet and The Doctor of Thuganomics slowly gets back to a vertical base. Orton takes a big swing with the steel chair but Cena ducks it and nails Orton with a hard right hand, causing him to drop the chair. Orton fires back with a hard right of his own and the brawl is on once more. Cena begins to gain the advantage but Orton cuts him off with a kick to the gut. Orton shoots him into the ropes and attempts a clothesline but Cena ducks shoots off the ropes once more and takes Orton down with a flying shoulder block. The fans give a loud mixed reaction as Cena goes into his “Moves of Doom.”

Orton gets back up and gets run over by a clothesline from Cena. Orton gets back up to his feet and Cena hits him with another. They both get back up and Cena grabs him and hits him with a modified spinout power bomb. Cena thinks about going for the Five Knuckle Shuffle but has a better idea in mind. He grabs the steel chair lying in the ring and places it on the head of Randy Orton.

Cena raises his right hand in the air as the crowd gives a loud mixed reaction. Cena shoots off the ropes does his “You Can’t See Me” routine and drops the fist. Orton quickly rolls out of the way and Cena’s fist slams into the steel chair! Orton stays on the ground and stalks Cena, slithering on the mat like a snake. Cena turns around and Orton PLANTS HIM WITH AN RKO ON THE CHAIR! The ref checks to see if Cena is busted open after that devastating RKO….

NO!

Frustrated, Orton mounts Cena and begins throwing hard rights down on the former WWE Champion. After hammering Cena for a significant amount of time, Orton gets off of Cena and waits for him to get up to his feet. Orton jumps up and goes for another RKO on the chair but Cena counters and shoves Orton off of the ropes. Orton comes back and goes for a clothesline but Cena ducks kicks Orton in the gut and drops him with DDT on top of the steel chair. Orton holds his head in pain. The referee checks to see if he is bleeding but Orton blocks his face from the view of the referee. The ref finally pries Orton’s hands from his face….

NO!

Orton isn’t bleeding….yet. Frustrated, Cena gives Orton a stiff stomp to the face. The Doctor of Thuganomics lifts Orton back to his feet and nails The Legend Killer with a couple of right hands. Cena continues to wail away on Orton backing him into the corner. Cena attempts to shoot Orton into the corner but Orton counters and sends him into the turnbuckle. Orton charges into the corner but Cena puts his feet up, nailing him in the face. Cena comes out of the corner, attempting to hit a clothesline. Orton ducks, grabs Cena and hits him with his patented modified backbreaker.

Orton arrogantly smiles and then mocks Cena, using his “You Can’t See Me” gesture right in his face. Orton goes over to the corner and climbs to the top turnbuckle. Cena makes it back to his feet. Orton flies off the top with a cross body. Cena ducks out of the way and Orton hit’s the canvas hard, missing the high risk move. Orton holds his stomach in tremendous pain as Cena gets back up to his feet. Cena catches Orton with a kick to the gut and then puts him on his shoulders. Cena then plants Orton with the FU. The crowd gives a loud mixed reaction as Cena puts Orton in the STFU! Orton immediately taps out but this is a First Blood match and submissions don’t count! The Legend Killer taps furiously as Cena refuses to let go of the submission, not looking for the win but just looking to hurt Orton.

The crowd gives a loud pop followed by boos as the SmackDown! WWE Tag Team Champions, JBL and Mr. Kennedy run down to the ring. The tag champs enter the ring and attack John Cena stomping away on his back. Kennedy lifts Cena up and holds him for JBL. JBL shoots off the ropes and levels Cena with the Clothesline From Hell!

The referee tries to get the two outsiders out of the ring but they refuse to cooperate. Orton gets up turns the referee around and gives the ref the RKO! JBL and Kennedy lifts a limp Cena up and hold him in place. Orton picks up the steel chair which is still in the ring and runs at Cena. Cena gets his feet up and sends the chair back into Orton’s face. Orton grabs at his face, a little woozy but NOT busted open. JBL and Kennedy begins wailing away on Cena, beating him down to the canvas.

Paul London and Brian Kendrick, the challengers for the tag titles in the ladder match later on tonight, run down to the ring and begin to brawl with JBL and Mr. Kennedy. The two teams brawl as Orton and Cena lay in the middle of the ring. Kennedy and JBL eventually gain the upper hand and begin nailing the two youngsters with right hands. The tag champs send London and Kendrick out of the ring with double clotheslines.

JBL and Kennedy smiles as they just got rid of their challengers. The two arrogant superstars smile and turn around only to be clotheslined over the top rope by John Cena! Cena yells at the two superstars from inside the ring as the audience gives another mixed reaction. While Cena is distracted with the tag champs, Orton sets the chair up and waits for Cena to turn around. Cena spins, Orton jumps and finally catches him with an RKO ON THE CHAIR!

JBL and Mr. Kennedy brawl with London and Kendrick on the outside as Orton attempts to wake up the referee. The ref begins to move slightly but is still pretty much out of it. Orton lifts a bloody John Cena back up to his feet and hits him with a couple of right hands before shooting him into the ropes. Cena comes back and Orton takes a swing. Cena ducks and kicks Orton in the gut. Cena with his face bloody then hit’s the FU! Cena once again locks in the STFU and Orton taps. The referee recovers and checks on Cena.

Yes! Cena is a bloody mess and the ref calls for the bell.

(12:23)

Lilian:

And the winner of the match, RANDY ORTON!

Orton is in no place to celebrate his victory as Cena has the STFU locked in. On the outside of the ring, JBL and Mr. Kennedy take out The Hooligans on the outside. JBL re-enters the ring and attempts to go after Cena. Cena releases Orton from the hold and gets to his feet. He kicks JBL in the gut and puts him on his shoulder. Cena then points to Kennedy on the outside of the ring. Kennedy thinks about entering but decides not to. A bloody Cena HITS JBL WITH THE FU! Kennedy shakes his head in disbelief as Cena and Kennedy stare at each other.

J.R.:
John Cena has destroyed everything in his path and Mr. Kennedy is getting the hell out of here!

King:
But Orton won the match!

J.R.:
Orton did win the First Blood match but John Cena is the only one left standing.

*We cut to the backstage locker room*

We see Shawn Michaels lacing up his boots for tonight’s WWE Title match. Michaels is sitting a chair, wearing a DX t-shirt. HBK shoots out of his seat when he hears the door slam. Mr. McMahon walks in.

McMahon:
Shawn, how you doing?

Michaels doesn’t answer nor do his eyes move away from Vince’s.

McMahon:
I have a date for you Shawn. December 15th, 2002. Do you know why that date is important?

Michaels still doesn’t speak.

McMahon:
That was the last time you were considered the best in the business. That was the last time you were a World Champion in this business. Now that I think about it, who was it that beat you for that title?

Michaels puts his head down, realizing what McMahon is getting at.

McMahon:
Oh, that’s right. If my memory serves me correctly, it was Triple H that beat you for the championship that night.

McMahon smiles as he continues to sow the seeds of dissention.

McMahon:
I have another date for you. August 25th, 2002. That was just about four years ago. In fact that was the night that The Showstoppa’ officially returned to the WWE!

Crowd pops.

McMahon:
How did that night end for you Shawn? Oh that’s right. Triple H took a sledgehammer and damn near broke your back again!

Crowd boos as Michaels becomes frustrated.

McMahon:
You know him as well as I do. Hunter lives on competition. He lives on being the best. And he will do anything….and screw anyone to walk out of here with the WWE Championship.

A smile comes over Michaels’ face.

Michaels:
Do you honestly think I’m falling for this? Did you honestly think that this plan would work?

McMahon:
Shawn, I want you to ask yourself this one question. “Did he make any of that up?” Has anything I said to you just now been a lie?! Didn’t Triple H try to end your career?! Didn’t Triple H try to ruin your comeback?! Didn’t Triple H take away your Championship?! You answer that and you’ll soon realize that there is no DX. Hunter simply keeps his friends close and his enemies closer.

McMahon walks out as Michaels looks on contemplating on what was said.

*Back to ringside*

J.R.:
This is ridiculous King. McMahon is doing everything in his power to kill of DX here tonight.

King:
And it’s working J.R.. Triple H and Shawn Michaels have the two biggest egos on the face of the planet. If you’re not talking about them, they ain’t listening. We’re gonna see the self destruction of DX here tonight.

J.R.:
I’m not so sure King. I….just don’t know.

Lilian:
The following contest is a triple threat match scheduled for one fall and it is for the WWE WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP!!

“Mickie” hits to a mixed reaction. The WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James makes her way to the ring, skipping and hopping down the entrance ramp. Mickie poses on the turnbuckle as Lilian begins her introduction.

Lilian:
Introducing first, from Richmond, Virginia, she is the WWE Women’s Champion, MICKIE JAMES!

J.R.:
Mickie James has been the champion since WrestleMania 22 where she defeated one of her opponents tonight, Trish Stratus. But over the past couple of weeks, Mickie has been defeated by both of her opponents in non-title matches. Mickie’s four month title run, may be in trouble here tonight.

“Time To Rock and Roll” hits to a good ovation from the New York crowd. The six-time Women’s Champion Trish Stratus makes her way down the ring focused on becoming a seven time champion.

Lilian:
And one of the challengers, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, TRISH STRATUS!

King:
Puppies, J.R.!

J.R.:
(Ignoring King) Trish is multiple time Women’s Champion. Some feel she’s the best off all time but can she beat Mickie James when the title is on the line? We’ll find out tonight.

“Paparazzi” hits and the audience gives a lot of heat. Melina makes her way to the ring with the Intercontinental Champion Johnny Nitro by her side. Nitro looks upset after his loss tonight but Melina looks focused.

Lilian:
And the second challenger, from Hollywood, California, MELINA!

J.R.:
Melina has the least amount of experience in this match but she also may have the edge. Melina has been trained by fellow Rated R member, Lita, in the past few weeks. Not to mention that Nitro is out here.

King:
This should be interesting to say the least.

Teddy Long’s cell phone rings. Long picks it up.

Long:

King Booker and his Court storm into the office.

Long:
(Into the phone) Alright I got to go. Talk to ya lata’ playa’.

Long hangs up.

Long:
And what is that you want?

King Booker:
You know exactly what I want Thaddeus. I am King Bookah.

Long:

King Booker:
I am one of the biggest stars on SmackDown!

Long:
True, true.

King Booker:
I deserve your respect Teddy. I want you to tell me just who in the hell our mystery opponent is.

Long:
If I told you, it wouldn’t be a surprise. Now would it?

Booker takes off his crown and hands it to Sharmell.

King Booker:
You didn’t just say that! Somebody tell me, you did not just say that! Who in the hell do you think you are Teddy?! You know what how about I lock that door and me, Finlay and Regal wear your punk ass out!

Long gets in Booker’s face.

Long:
Let me tell you something. I am the general manager of SmackDown! And until I am no longer the General Manager, what I say goes. End of discussion. Now get the hell out of my office!

Booker gives Long a nasty look before taking his crown back and putting it back on his head.

King Booker:
This isn’t over Teddy. This isn’t over.

Booker, Sharmell, Finlay and Regal exit the office as Long looks on. As Booker and company are leaving, JBL and Mr. Kennedy enter Long's office.

JBL: You wanted to see us Teddy?

Long: Where in the hell do you get off interfering in a RAW match.

Kennedy: That S.O.B. got in our face Teddy.

Long: You two have been putting me through hell on SmackDown!

Kennedy: Awww. And this whole time, I thought you liked us.

JBL and Kennedy smile arrogantly.

Long: You think this is a joke?

Kennedy: I think you're a joke. Thats close enough.

Long: Well guess what? I'm changing tonight's tag title match.

JBL and Kennedy start to get upset but then JBL smiles.

JBL: You cant strip us of those titles and you've promised these people a tag team ladder match. So you aint gettin' rid of us.

Long: You're right.

JBL puts on his famous toothy grin.

Long: So up next it will be a ladder match, JBL and Mr. Kennedy vs. The Hooligans...

JBL: How is that any different from....

Long: vs. The Pit Bulls!!!

JBL and Kennedy throw a fit, realizing that they now have two teams to face instead of one. Long leaves the office and the tag champs are pissed.

*Back to ringside*

Styles:
Oh My Gawd! We now have a three way ladder match instead of just two teams. JBL and Mr. Kennedy are screwed.

Chimel:
The following contest is a LADDER MATCH and it is for the WWE Tag Team Championship! The only way to win the match up is to climb the ladder and retrieve the belts suspended high above the ring!

*MMIIISSSTTEERRR KKKEEEENNNEEEDDDYYY!!!*

*KKEENNNEEDDDYYY!!!*

Our Tag Team Champions have had a couple of confrontations with RAW’s John Cena tonight. They better be focused on the task at hand.

“Longhorn” hits to a mixed reaction, though it’s more negative than Mr. Kennedy’s. JBL “Texas two-steps” his way to the ring but holds his back, as he is still suffering from John Cena’s FU earlier.

Mr. Kennedy:
And introducing the other half of the greatest tag team of all-time, He is one of the greatest competitors in WWE history. He is a former WWE Champion. I am one half of the current WWE Tag Team Champions. He is the media maven. He is the “Wall Street Warrior”, he is quite frankly a wrestling GOD! He hails from NEW YORK FREAKIN’ CITY. John Bradshaw Layfield…Layfield!

“London Calling” hits and the Hooligans, Paul London & Brian Kendrick, run full speed to the ring receiving a good pop. London & Kendrick slide into the ring, remove their masks, and back flip off the turnbuckle.

Chimel:
And introducing the challengers, at a combined weight of 380 pounds, Paul London and Brian Kendrick.

Styles:
Paul London and Brian Kendrick are a great young tag team, and this match definitely favors the challengers. They have the speed. They have the athleticism and they have the youth.

Tazz:
Yeah but can they pull it all together tonight.

“Quitter” by Edgewater hits to a decent amount of heat. The Pit Bulls, Jamie Noble and Kid Kash, make their way down to the ring.

Chimel:
And the second set of challengers, at a combined weight of 404 pounds, Jamie Noble and Kid Kash, THE PIT BULLS!

*We cut to a split screen of Batista and Kurt Angle*

Both men are warming up for their match. Batista is in his room lifting weights as Kurt Angle is wrestling with a sparring partner of his.

Tazz:
With this one shot, you can see the two different styles of these guys. Batista relies on pure power and explosiveness. If Batista plans on winning this match up, he’s got to stay off of the mat with Angle. And you see on the other side, Kurt Angle is a wrestler. That’s what he is and that’s what he does. Angle has got to wrestle Batista. If The Animal turns this into a fight, Angle may be in trouble.

*We cut to Edge’s locker room*

The Rated R Army are in full force in the locker room.

Edge:
Tonight has got to be the worst day ever! First the three of you (pointing to Benjamin, Nitro & Masters) lose your match.

Benjamin, Nitro and Masters hang their head.

Edge:
Melina. You couldn’t even beat some washed up has-been, blonde bimbo and a damn psycho!

Melina:
It was Johnny’s fault.

Nitro:
My fault!? How the hell is YOUR loss, MY fault?

Melina:
You were out there to help me and you didn’t.

Ken Doane:
That’s not a bad point!

Melina:
Thank you Kenny.

Melina and Doane stare at each other for a second as there is an awkward silence.

Benjamin:
Wait a minute Doane! You were out there to help us and you didn’t get the job done!

Masters and Nitro:
Yeah!

Edge:
EVERYBODY SHUT UP!

Everybody immediately gets quiet.

Edge:
Damn it! Tonight is my night! Tonight, I go out there and I beat two legends! I’m gonna destroy D-Generation X with my bare hands and I’m walking out with MY WWE Championship! We’re not walking out of here empty handed tonight. Because I’m leaving with this!

Edge picks up his WWE Championship!

Edge:
Lita, lets go!

Edge and Lita leave the locker room as The Rated R Army looks on.

*Back to ringside*

J.R.:
Here we go. The WWE Title is on the line. Edge takes on Triple H and Shawn Michaels. Lets get right into it.

King:
DX will not survive tonight. I’m telling you J.R., these guys have huge egos. Triple H and Shawn Michaels’ egos have their own orbit.

J.R.:
We’ll find out tonight. Lets got to Lilian.

Lilian:
The following contest is a No Disqualification triple threat match and it is for the WWE CHAMPIONSHIP!

The Game pours the water on his head and into his mouth, before spitting it out and making his way to the ring. Triple H continues down the ramp and takes another swig of his water bottle. Its been four years since Shawn Michaels has been a World Champion. In many people’s opinion, Shawn Michaels is the greatest WWE Champion of all time. HBK gets a chance to prove it tonight.

“Metalingus” hits to tremendous heat. The WWE Champion, “The Rated R Superstar” Edge and Lita come from behind the curtain and onto the stage. Edge has a determined look on his face as he walks down the ramp. Edge enters the ring and looks at his WWE Title, possibly for the last time.

J.R.:
The Rated R Superstar is the top superstar in the business today. And that belt on his shoulder says so. But can someone even as great and as talented as Edge is, defeat “The Game” Triple H and “The Icon” Shawn Michaels.

King:
Of course he can J.R.. Edge has proven that he is the best in the world and with the tension DX has been having lately, Edge is the favorite.

J.R.:
But he doesn’t have “the champion’s advantage” in this match King. HBK could pin Triple H and become the champion or vise versa.

Lilian:
The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is a No Disqualification triple threat match for the WWE Championship!

The crowd pops as the referee holds Edge’s WWE Title over his head.

Lilian:
Introducing first, from Greenwich, Connecticut, weighing in at 265 pounds, he is a Grand Slam Champion, an Intercontinental Champion, a Tag Team Champion, a European Champion, a former King of The Ring, a Royal Rumble winner and a Ten Time World Champion. He is one half of D-Generation X. Ladies and gentlemen, “The Cerebral Assassin”, “The King of Kings”, “THE GAME” TRIPLE H!!!

The crowd pops as Triple H continues to warm up in his corner.

Lilian:
And the second challenger, from San Antonio, Texas, weighing in at 225 pounds, he is also a former Grand Slam Champion, an Intercontinental Champion, Tag Team Champion, a European Champion and a TWO TIME Royal Rumble winner. He is the other half of D-Generation X. Ladies and gentlemen, “The Icon”, “The Main Event”, “The Headliner”, “The Heartbreak Kid” SHAWN MICHAELS!

The audience gives Michaels a great pop as HBK seems ready for this WWE Title match up.

Lilian:
And now the Champion, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, weighing in at 250 pounds, he is a former five time WWE Champion, a former ELEVEN TIME Tag Team Champion. He is the current reigning and defending WWE Champion. Ladies and gentlemen, “The Rated R Superstar” EDGE!

The crowd showers Edge in heat as he looks somewhat nervous about the match up.

J.R.:
Here we go. Our RAW Main Event. No DQ. Who is the best wrestler in the business today. We find out right now.

The fans give Batista one of the loudest pops of the night as Batista does his entrance routine and sets off his massive pyro and fireworks. Batista enters the ring and goes to all four turnbuckles, posing for the sold out New York audience. Batista motions to the audience that he will win his World Heavyweight Championship as they continue to applaud. “The Animal” then gets down from the final turnbuckle and begins warming up in the ring. Batista then looks towards the entrance ramp, waiting for the World Heavyweight Champion to appear. A loud “BATISTA!” chant starts as Batista continues to wait for his Kurt Angle.

Styles:
In my humble opinion this has got to be one of the biggest and most anticipated matches in the history of the WWE. Dave Batista vs. Kurt Angle. “The Animal” vs. “The Wrestling Machine”. Who is the true World Heavyweight Champion? We find out here tonight.

Batista waits a couple of more seconds before…“Medal” blasts over the loudspeaker which receives another tremendous ovation from the sold out New York crowd. The World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle walks down the ramp and receives just as loud as an ovation as the ultra popular Batista did. Angle makes his way to the ring but stops at the top of the ramp to raise his arms and set off his trademark fireworks. Angle, with his title strapped around his waist, enters the ring and climbs the turnbuckle. Angle removes the World Title from his waist as he poses with it for the fans in attendance. Angle goes and poses with the title at the other three turnbuckles as Batista continues to watch “The Wrestling Machine”. Angle gets down from the last turnbuckle and goes to his corner. Batista waits, focused, in his corner as the intros are about to happen.

Chimel:
Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP !

The audience cheers wildly

Chimel:
Introducing first, the challenger (Loud pop), hailing from Washington, D.C., weighing in at 290 pounds, he is a former two-time World Tag Team Champion, he is a Royal Rumble winner, he is also a former World Heavyweight Champion who NEVER lost the title, ladies and gentlemen, “The Animal” BATISTA!

He is the current reigning and defending World Heavyweight Champion (Loud pop), “The Wrestling Machine” KURT ANGLE!

The audience explodes into a raucous ovation for the World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle. Batista looks around the arena with a slight smirk on his face as he cannot believe that Angle may have gotten a slightly louder pop then he did. Batista and Angle both come towards the center of the ring. Angle hands his title belt to the referee. The referee gives both popular wrestlers their instructions and raises the World Heavyweight Championship high over his head as the fans continue to cheer.

Tazz:
Here we go. Batista vs. Angle. Who is the true World Heavyweight Champion? Angle never beat Batista for that title. Angle gets the opportunity to prove that he is the one and only World Champion.

Batista shoots off the ropes, looking to drill Angle with a hard clothesline but Angle ducks.

He wraps his arms around the waist of Batista, pops his hips and drills him with a German Suplex! Angle keeps his hands locked as he lifts himself and Batista up. Angle pops his hips and takes The Animal over for one more, dropping him on his head. A small “Batista” chant rings out as Angle keeps his hands locked. He makes his way back up to his feet again, once again with Batista trapped in his grasp. Angle goes for a third German suplex but Batista hooks Angle’s right leg with his right leg. Batista then delivers a couple of stiff elbows to the side of Angle’s head forcing him to break his vice like grip. Batista turns around and attempts to hit Angle with a clothesline but Angle avoids it and goes for The Angle Slam! Batista gets out of it and lands on his feet! Batista quickly shoots off the ropes and comes back, DRILLING ANGLE WITH A SPEAR! Batista with the cover.

Angle barely gets a shoulder up before the referee’s hand hit’s the mat for a three count! Batista looks at the referee in shock that he did not pick up the victory after that powerful move! Batista stands up and looks around the sold out arena. Madison Square Garden gives Batista a loud ovation with a noticeable amount of boos thrown in. Batista lifts his hands up with his thumbs extended upward. Angle slowly gets to his feet holding his stomach after that devastating Spear! Batista’s “thumbs up” turns into “thumbs down” as Angle turns around. Batista delivers a stiff kick to the gut and prepares for a Batista Bomb. Batista lifts him up into position but Angle wiggles out of it. Angle lands on his feet in front of Batista and kicks him in the gut. Angle then HIT’S THE ANGLE SLAM!! Both Batista and Angle lay on the mat as the fans go wild! Angle slowly crawls over and manages to get a hand on Batista’s chest.

THRE. NO!

Batista manages to barely get a shoulder up! Angle is frustrated but not overly upset as he realizes he didn’t have a good enough cover to hold a 300 pound man down. Angle stands up and pulls off the straps on his outfit! Angle lets out a loud scream before he applies The Ankle Lock on Batista! Angle tears at Batista’s ankle as The Animal screams in pain! The audience sits on the edge of their seats as Batista reaches for the ropes! Batista slowly crawls for the ropes while in extreme pain as Angle applies tremendous pressure to his ankle! Batista manages to get a finger tip on the ropes before………Angle pulls him back into the middle of the ring! The crowd erupts as Angle goes to the ground and grapevines Batista’s leg! Angle wrenches in the hold as Batista screams in pain! The Animal raises his right hand in the air, contemplating submitting to the incredible pain of Angle’s finishing move! Batista then….

…………………..

………………………

…………………….

…Keeps fighting, refusing to submit to the Ankle Lock! Batista starts to pull himself towards the ropes using his forearms to drag himself across the ring. Angle cant believe that Batista is still moving towards the ropes even though he has the leg in a grapevine! A Loud “BATISTA!” chant starts up as the #1 contender struggles to reach the ropes! After crawling from the middle of the ring, in severe pain, dragging Kurt Angle with him, Batista finally reaches the ropes! Loud pop followed by boos from the Angle fans in attendance. Angle holds onto the hold for a couple of more seconds but finally releases it and gets off the ground. Angle looks at Batista with a shocked expression, not knowing how to put him away and retain the title.

He lifts his opponent to his feet, scoops him up and hit’s a body slam. Angle then goes to the corner and begins climbing the turnbuckle! The crowd stands again as Angle gets set on the top turnbuckle. Angle leaps off, performing a back flip in the air. Batista rolls towards the corner and Angle CRASHES AND BURNS, missing the Moonsault! Batista puts his back to the corner and uses the ropes to pull himself up. Batista walks over to Angle, still limping from the devastating Ankle Lock! Batista grabs the stunned World Heavyweight Champion by his bald head and prepares for a Batista Bomb! Batista gets him up to his shoulders…..AND HITS IT! The match may be over as Batista has hit his finishing maneuver…BUT Batista can’t capitalize! Batista slowly crawls over and covers Angle, trying to pick up the victory.

One………..

………………….

Two……………….

………………………

THRE!! NO!

Angle kicks out of the Batista Bomb! Batista looks frustrated and struggles back up to his feet. The Animal stares down at Angle who looks spent from the punishment he has taken. Batista lifts Angle up and looks to hit The Angle Slam! Angle counters and shoves Batista into the ropes. Angle puts his head down and gets set too early. Batista attempts a kick to the head but Angle grabs Batista’s foot, throws it down and HIT’S THE ANGLE SLAM! This time Angle covers and hooks the far leg!

One……………….

……………………….

Two………………..

……………………

THRE! NO!

Batista kicks out of a second Angle Slam! Angle slams his hands on the mat as he just knew that Batista was finished. The Olympic Gold Medallist looks around the arena confused as he has no clue how to put The Animal away. Angle goes over to the turnbuckle and proceeds to climb again to the top. Batista slowly gets to his feet, a little shaken up after taking The Angle Slam. Once Batista is all the way up to a vertical base, Angle leaps off the top turnbuckle trying to catch Batista with a cross body of sorts! Batista reacts, counters, catches Angle and PLANTS him with his trademark Spine buster!

The crowd erupts as Batista gets back up and quickly lifts the World Heavyweight Champion up to his feet, trying to seize this huge opportunity. Batista lifts Angle to his feet and prepares for another Batista Bomb! Batista tries to lifts Angle up but Angle grabs his feet and trips him up causing Batista to go down on his back! Angle grabs Batista’s legs and flips over, applying a jackknife cover! The referee gets in position and counts the cover!

One……………..

……………………

Two………………..

……………………….

THREE!!!!

Batista kicks out but its after the three count!

(15:21)

Chimel: The winner of the match….AND STILL World Heavyweight Champion KURT ANGLE!

“Medal” hits to a huge ovation. Some fans are cheering wildly while others are in a state of shock, not believing that Batista lost. Angle gets up pounding his chest, hyped at his incredible win. Batista argues with the referee, trying to explain that he kicked out. The ref tells him that his shoulder was down for a three count!

Styles:
That was a hell of a match up. Extreme intensity shown by both men. BUT Kurt Angle has done it! He has proven to the world that he is truly the World Heavyweight Champion!

Tazz:
Batista put up a hell of an effort and this match could have went either way on numerous occasions but Angle is still the World Heavyweight Champion.

The timekeeper hands the referee Angle’s World Heavyweight Championship. He prepares to hand it to Angle but Batista snatches it away! A loud “oh” echoes throughout the arena as Angle gets up in Batista’s face.

Styles:
Uh oh. Things are about to explode!

Tazz:
You damn right. They’re going to go at it again!

Batista looks at the title and…..then hands it to Angle. Batista raises Angle’s hand as every fan in attendance stands up and applauds.

Tazz:
That’s what this business is all about. Angle was the better man tonight and Batista respects that. Two great warriors showing respect for each other.

Styles:
Much like Triple H and Shawn Michaels earlier, Batista and Kurt Angle showing the…OH MY GAWD!

BATISTA LEVELS ANGLE WITH A CLOTHESLINE!!! The crowd is silent as they don’t know what to make of what just happened. Batista mounts Angle and begins firing away with right hands. Batista rolls out of the ring and towards the announce position. Batista grabs Tony Chimel and flings him into the steel steps! He grabs the steel chair that Chimel he was sitting on. Batista slides back in the ring as Angle lies on the canvas grabbing his head. Batista looks at Angle and waits for him to get up to his feet. The World Heavyweight Champion struggles to get up only to be knocked back down with a Sick chair shot! The audience begins booing furiously that one of their favorites is behaving this way. Batista turns Angle onto his back and lays in some chair shots to his back! Batista throws the chair down as the outraged fans throw cups and beer cans into the ring, furious!

Styles:
I’ve never seen Batista like this! He’s snapped!

Tazz:
Kurt Angle wins it! But if he’s the winner, I’d rather be Batista.

Styles:
Batista has destroyed Kurt Angle…..I don’t believe what I’m seeing. The Animal has been unleashed here at SummerSlam!

Batista picks up the World Heavyweight Championship and raises it over his head to tremendous heat! SummerSlam closes with Batista in mid-ring standing over a destroyed Kurt Angle!

*End of Show*

Awesome matches! I do not, unfortunately, have enough time to give a proper review but I'll do what I can.

Great commentary! The right amount of it, and they were in charcater.

Matches - you chose all the right endings. The Rock coming back was huge as well! WWE Championship changing hands was the right thing to do AND keeping DX together was awesome! Flair won in a good way, Show won in a good way, I do not think Angle should have won off of a Jacknife though, but your BTB and your call. You had great match lengths, amazing detail...only one nitpick of mine, the amount of pinfalls is slightly unrealistic. Try having 2 or 3 fewer pinfalls then you had, it got a bit redundant after a while.

Realism - Quite realistic, although The Rock would never come back

Length - 10/10 It was very long, but I like it long like that. The matches were nice and long too.

Organization - Incredibly well organized! You didn't use 30 colours like some people, and you did a great job with paragraphs and such.

Spelling and Grammar - A few mistakes, at the end of the Benoit vs Henry it said something along the lines of "Benoit went over to Benoit."

Overall I give you 96/100, 96% Incredible man!

Summerslam Review

Six Man Tag: A good match to kick things off, with great athleticism from all six participants. The MNM angle probably could have been played up a bit more, but that’s forgivable. The star of the match has to be Benjamin, with the springboard to the outside, and his tie ups with Van Dam. Van Dam picks up the win.

Rey/Hardy: A bit of hostility here. A bit of foreshadowing perhaps? Thankfully, Rey sticks to his guns. A short promo, but it sure said a lot.

Benoit/Henry: Great showcase by Benoit here. He took it to Mark Henry, and showed his vicious opponent what viciousness is all about. It looks like Henry might be out of action, which I’d normally applaud…but he stepped up in this match so much that I think I’ll actually miss him. Way to use The World’s Strongest Man.

Trip Promo: WOW. Strong words by The Game here. Great analogy to the Yankees. And what’s more, he addressed the backstage politics issue. He is one of the best in the business for a reason. Vinnie Mac had some ominous comments as well. What will happen tonight? I sense something big. Best comment of the promo? “Do adult diapers come in thong style?”

Hardcore Match: Brutal. Absolutely brutal. But in a good way. These two gave it all they had in this one, and I’d expect no less from future Hall of Famers. Personally favorite spots included the raking of the barbwire across the BACK of Jack’s head, as well as the flying elbow through the table that didn’t connect.

Show promo: Heyman is his usual cocky self in this one. Nothing really special about the promo. It just hyped Show up a bit more before his match.

Show/Rey: I have to call this one the worst match of the night. It was just too much of a squash for my tastes. However, the chokeslam off of the top rope was pretty sick. With Hardy’s involvement, could we be seeing a possible Rey/Hardy feud? Hmm.

Cena Promo: Cena showed some much needed intensity, with the Judgment Day comment and all, but Kennedy and JBL really made this promo. The “MISTER…KENNEDY!” line is always classic. And the Paris Hilton/Jenna Jameson/Your Mom jokes set this promo off as the best of the night. Cena displays the intensity again by attacking the tag champs.

Cena/Orton: I don’t like Cena. I don’t like First Blood matches. I don’t like run ins. But you made this work anyway. A good match. Not great, but good. I liked the 5 Knuckle onto the chair, as well as the RKO onto the chair. Brutal. I didn’t expect the run in, nor did I care for it. And I didn’t like Cena being the only man left standing at the end of the match. But besides all the faults, I enjoyed the match.

Michaels/Vince Promo: I honestly thought that Vinnie would only try to get to one member of DX tonight, but here we see another example of the seeds of dissension planted. Vince makes some good points, but now I’m starting to think that DX will stand together by the night’s end.

Women’s Title: This was what it was. I’m never a fan of women’s matches, but this one kept my interest by being fast paced. Mickie steals the win in this one, which is typical. Just an okay match.

Long Promo: I can’t wait to see who the mystery guy is. I’m pretty sure it will be a TNA guy after what Teddy said to Sabin. King Booker makes his presence felt, and breaks his King character a bit…which is very welcome. Good to see the old Booker come out once and again. And it’s always good to see Mr. Kennedy. “I think you’re a joke. Close enough.” This triple threat match ought to be good…but I’m not too fond of the addition of a third team…especially The Pitbulls.

Ladder Match: Good match which turned out well having three teams. There are too many memorable spots to mention, but my personal fav goes to the crossbody off of the top of the ladder to the outside by Kash. Classic.

DX Promo: Big words from both members of DX, but I think it just reaffirms my feelings that they’ll stick together.

Long Promo2: Uh…will Mystery Man make it? Perhaps a late match run in which will earn his team the win?

SD Six Man Tag: HOLY SHIT. The Rock returns in the biggest shocker of the night. I can’t believe it. As far as the match goes, it was really good, with all five guys being showcased well. Lashley had to be the star of the match, but Booker was right behind him with an impressive Houston Hangover. But all of this was totally eclipsed by The Rock clearing house! One note, why was the whole locker room in the ring? That didn’t make much sense. And I was disappointed that The Rock was a little too late. But on the flip side, it really made his entrance memorable.

Rated R Army: A good promo, with Edge rightfully pissed. I think he’ll keep his title tonight.

Triple Threat: By far, this one is MOTN this far into the PPV. We’ll see if SD can top it, but I doubt it. I didn’t like the Rated R Army running in, and I thought there were a bit too many Sweet Chin Musics. But with those two faults, these three still managed to put on one hell of a title match. MOTN. And DX stays together. I guessed it right!

McMahon Promo: I didn’t really care for this…until Vince had a revelation. Oh my God! Trips is going to Smackdown!

Main Event: Wow. I have to say it didn’t top the Raw Main Event, but it was great, nonetheless. I really enjoyed it, and Batista was used well. I thought the end came too quickly, but that’s forgivable. Awesome match…with a big heel turn. It’s kind of common to see Batista as a heel in BTBs, but still neat to see.

Realism: Spot on. Everything was done in the most believable way possible. Even The Rock’s return was handled as if it really happened.
10/10
Length
: Also, spot on. It took me a while to read it, and I feel like I just sat through a three hour Pay per View. Way to go.
10/10
Quality/Entertainment
: I was entertained very well. With some big shockers and great matches (as well as funny bits) this was a great show all around. Some matches (women’s match, Rey match) didn’t keep my interest, so you lose a few points.
8/10
Spelling/Grammar
: There were a couple issues here and there. You used the wrong name or something, but nothing which detracted from the overall experience.
9/10
Matches/Booking
: Like I said earlier, certain matches weren’t the best, but that’s to be expected. You made up for it with the main events.
8/10

Total: 90/100

Really happy with the reviews which have come in so far. Looking forward to the others. The positive responses to the show have hyped me up so much that I'm not going to take a break and the RAW preview should be posted Monday.

Just one note: When Teddy Long is talking to Chris Sabin about bringing in someone, he's NOT referring to the mystery opponent for that night.
