He's off at college for the next couple of weeks. Though a phone call would be nice.

Well, everything is pretty much done except the opening video package, one or two promos and the 6 man MYSTERY tag match. So, it should be completed by Friday or Saturday(not in time for my PPV award....at least not this month )

Note:Sorry, I haven't been reviewing a lot of shows lately. I know I owe FD, Kane01, HBKicon, The Boogeyman, Deadman and others BUT once SummerSlam is posted I should go back to reviewing regularly.

Note #2: Whomever leaves a review of SummerSlam will receive some +11 reppage (or +12, +13. Depending on what I'm up to by then.) So here goes the full preview of SummerSlam.

SUMMERSLAM PREVIEW

In a match which is definitely one of the most anticipated of the year, the World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line when “The Wrestling Machine” Kurt Angle defends against “The Animal” Batista. After seven months of debate, the question will be answered. Who is the true World Heavyweight Champion?

How we got here….

In January, the World Heavyweight Champion at the time, Batista, suffered a serious injury to his right tricep, courtesy of “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry. The injury would force Batista to relinquish the Championship, subsequently ending his nine month reign with the title.

On the very same night, in a shocking turn of events, RAW’s Kurt Angle jumped ship to SmackDown! and won a battle royal to crown a new World Heavyweight Champion. For the next seven months, Angle would go on to defeat the best that SmackDown! had to offer. He defeated Mark Henry at the Royal Rumble. The Undertaker at No Way Out. Randy Orton at WrestleMania 22. Chris Benoit at Judgment Day. And King Booker at The Great American Bash. Throughout Angle’s incredible title reign, many fans still felt that Batista was still the rightful champion and wanted to see what would happen if the two megastars ever met in a match up.

At The Great American Bash, those fans saw their dream become a reality when Batista defeated Mark Henry to become the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. So now, the match is set. Kurt Angle and Batista will finally meet to determine who the true champion is.

Will Batista regain the Championship that he never lost? Or will “The Wrestling Machine” put “The Animal” down and prove that there was no debate all along? Find out this Sunday live on Pay Per View!

McMahon knows best

Ever since the rebel group reformed, D-Generation X has done nothing except aggravate and frustrate Mr. McMahon. The Chairman has thrown everything he possibly could at the two legends. The Spirit Squad. Cage Matches. Ladder Matches. He’s even used his son Shane in an attempt to destroy Triple H and Shawn Michaels. Nothing has worked. But Mr. McMahon doesn’t give up and had one last Ace up his sleeve.

On the July 24 edition of Monday Night RAW, McMahon decided to use the huge egos of The Game and The Heartbreak Kid to his advantage. Mr. McMahon made the huge match. At SummerSlam, the WWE Champion Edge will take on Triple H and Shawn Michaels in a triple threat match for the title.

McMahon’s master plan seemed to wok over the next couple of weeks as DX began to crumble at its very foundation. Michaels and Triple H consistently bickered and even got into a “knock down, drag out” fight. But the two iconic superstars have put their differences aside and will stick together. This turn of events seemed to worry Mr. McMahon because with DX on the same page at SummerSlam, DX would have the numbers advantage. So he decided to make the triple threat match No Disqualification.

Will McMahon’s dream come true? Will we see the self-implosion of D-Genertaion X at SummerSlam? Will either Triple H or Shawn Michaels win the WWE Championship or will the champion continue to be Rated R? Find out this Sunday.

Let the guesses begin.

At The Great American Bash, Finlay screwed over Bobby Lashley and became the United States Champion. Lashley gained a measure of revenge later in the night when he stopped King Booker, Finlay and Sir William Regal from stealing the World Heavyweight Championship.

Due to those actions, King Booker and his Court decided to make an example of Lashley with a 3 on 1 assault on SmackDown! Booker and his Court beat the former United States Champion to a pulp until THE UNDERTAKER made a surprise appearance and cleaned house of Lashley’s attackers.

Then a shocking announcement was made by Teddy Long on wwe.com. At SummerSlam, King Booker and his Court will take on The Undertaker, Bobby Lashley and a mystery partner. The catch is that absolutely no one except Teddy Long knows who it its. Not King Booker, not Bobby Lashley and not even The Undertaker.

Several big names have been thrown around. The Undertaker’s brother, Kane. The youngest WWE Champion in history, Brock Lesnar. The Texas Rattlesnake, Stone Cold Steve Austin. The Immortal, Hulk Hogan. Captain Charisma, Christian. The People’s Champion, The Rock. Y2J Chris Jericho, And even former World Heavyweight and WCW Champion, Bill Goldberg has been mentioned.

Is it one of these big name superstars or does Teddy Long have someone else in mind to deal with Booker and his Court? Find out this Sunday.

Bloody…Sunday?

Randy Orton has done everything in his power to destroy John Cena. At Vengeance, he gave John Cena the RKO and cost him his match against Umaga. The very next night on Monday Night RAW, Cena was once again on the receiving end of an RKO. Except this time, after hitting his devastating signature maneuver, The Legend Killer spat in Cena’s face.

Due to Orton’s action, a one on one match was made for the special three hour edition of Monday Night RAW. Orton and Cena engaged in a brutal encounter. The Legend Killer had to hit Cena with two chair shots followed by and RKO on the chair to put a bloody John Cena away!

The next week on RAW, Cena challenged Orton to a First Blood match at SummerSlam. Orton would except Cena’s challenge and the aggressive streak of the youngest World Champion of all-time would continue. Orton bloodied Gene Snitsky in a match and then would go on to bloody Cena again later on that night with a solid steel chair.

Cena gets his chance for revenge at SummerSlam. Will The Doctor of Thuganomics return the favor on August 20 by busting open The Legend Killer. Or will the third time be the charm for Randy Orton?

High above the ring…….

John Bradshaw Layfield and Ken Kennedy may be the most arrogant tag team in WWE history. They may also be the best. At Judgement Day in May, JBL and Mr. Kennedy defeated MNM to gain the WWE Tag Team Titles. They have dominated the SmackDown! tag scene ever since. At The Great American Bash, the WWE Tag Team Champs defeated Paul London and Brian Kendrick in a great match up which could have went either way.

The Hooligans have earned a rematch and so the match is on once more. Except this time, JBL and Mr. Kennedy’s belts will be high above the ring, with a ladder as the only hope of retrieving them. With the challengers having the clear speed and agility advantage, Kennedy and Bradshaw’s tag title reign may be in trouble….trouble!

Will the Hooligans be able to climb the ladder and the ladder of success straight to the top of the tag team heap? Or will JBL and Kennedy prove once again that its not arrogance if you can back it up?

A war of words leads to a bloody war between legends

In his autobiography, “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair had some controversial comments for a lot of stars. Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff to name a few. But his comments about Mick Foley struck a chord. Flair said Foley was just a “glorified stuntman” and basically said Foley couldn’t wrestle. At Vengeance the two legends would have a wrestling match which in an attempt by Foley to outwrestle The Nature Boy. Flair would use his catch as catch can skill to dominate the contest. Instead of taking the pinfall or submission loss, Foley decided to get himself disqualified by hitting Flair with a hammer!

Flair would go out to call The Hardcore Legend out on numerous editions of Monday Night RAW but Foley would never show. Until Flair got a WWE Title shot. When The Nature Boy got a WWE Title hot against Edge on the three hour edition of RAW, Foley made his presence felt in a Cactus Jack video package. Jack wanted Flair at SummerSlam and Flair wanted Jack.

So the match is set. “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair goes one on one with “The Hardcore Legend” Cactus Jack in a Hardcore match at SummerSlam. Will Cactus bloody The Nature Boy again or will Ric Flair prove that he is just better than Mick Foley?

David vs. Goliath.

The Big Show has been on a monstrous rampage as of late. His two favorite victims, Matt Hardy and Rey Mysterio. At The Great American Bash, The Big Show choke slammed Matt Hardy off of a 20 foot ladder and through a table below, to win the much hyped Tables Match between the two. After the match was already over, Show decided to inflict more damage on the fallen superstar. But Rey Mysterio would have none of it, running to the ring with steel chair in hand.

Mysterio’s brave actions would cost him later that night. During Rey Mysterio’s Triple Threat World Heavyweight Championship match, The Big Show would make his presence felt. Show came to ringside, pulled Mysterio out of the ring and delivered a chokeslam which effectively took Mysterio out of the World Title match.

Big Show may get his comeuppance at SummerSlam but will it be from Rey Mysterio or Matt Hardy. The match has already been made. Big Show versus Mysterio on August 20th but there is a twist. Teddy Long will allow Matt Hardy to wrestle Show at SummerSlam if Mysterio is willing to relinquish his slot.

So who will be gaining retribution for The Great American Bash? Will Mysterio pay Show back for costing him the World Heavyweight Championship or is a Twist of Fate in the future of the 500 pounder?

Better question: Does it really matter who faces The Big Show since he may be unstoppable anyway?

Three women. One belt.

The WWE Women's Champion has dominated the division since WrestleMania 22 where she defeated Trish Stratus for the Championship. But Mickie's dominance seems to have wavered recently on RAW. First she was defeated by Trish Stratus in a non-title match and then the very next week she was defeated by Melina in a non-title match.

Will the same happen at SummerSlam? Will Trish Stratus reclaim her spot at the top of the Women's Division? Will Melina establish her dominance and bring more gold to The Rated R Army? Or Will Mickie James keep the title she has held since April. Find out this Sunday at SummerSlam.

In May of this year, Chris Benoit was added to the growing list of superstars who were taken out by “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry. Batista, Undertaker and World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle have all felt the wrath of Mark Henry as he put each and every one of them on the shelf for varying periods of time.

Benoit returned at The Great American Bash, making an immediate impact by attacking The Worlds Strongest Man. Benoit has vowed to take Henry out as payback for Henry’s actions earlier in the year. Until recently, Henry has shown no fear of The Rabid Wolverine, going so far as to laugh at Benoit’s threats.

Henry’s attitude changed on a recent edition of SmackDown!, when Benoit’s intensity overcame him. Benoit applied the Crippler Crossface on Gregory Helms and refused to break the hold. When referee, Jimmy Korderas, attempted to stop Benoit from tearing Helms’ arm, Benoit applied the devastating hold to Korderas! Korderas is now going to be out for several months with a severely torn shoulder!

Will The Worlds Strongest Man suffer the same fate at SummerSlam or will the Mark Henry’s path of destruction run right through Chris Benoit on August 20th?

In a match that may potentially steal the show, three members of The Rated R Army will do battle against Rob Van Dam, Carlito and Joey Mercury. At Vengeance, Edge ended RVD’s WWE Title reign and became a two-time WWE Champion. Van Dam immediately used his rematch clause for the next night on RAW. Just when it looked like Van Dam would regain the WWE Title, The Masterpiece Chris Masters made his shocking return and cost RVD the match.

The Masterpiece wasn’t the only superstar to return that night. Earlier in the evening, Joey Mercury made his return and saved Carlito from a 2 on 1 assault from former tag partner Johnny Nitro and Shelton Benjamin. Ever since that night, RVD, Carlito and Mercury have been fighting with The Rated R Army like cats and dogs.

But it all comes to a head this Sunday night. Will Edge’s Rated R Army prove their dominance over Monday Night RAW? Or will Carlito, Mercury and Van Dam walk out of Madison Square Garden victorious?

Note: SummerSlam is almost finished and after a couple of adjustments, it should be up Saturday night or Sunday morning.
