The continued feeling with sponsors backing out of deals very much strikes me as 'rats jumping off a sinking ship'. It's refreshing that you're highlighting the problems of the company; in comparison to new companies that prosper off the bat. The loss of no computer game deal has also been turned into a major blow to the company - as it should be.

And given the extremely strained relationship between Flair and Bischoff over the phone, WCW right now needs either a third backer to play peacekeeper between the two sides, or a mystery saviour to buy both men out, and someone with strong links to run a successful company in terms of sponsorship, game distribution etc. And, more importantly, someone to push the flagging company back into the battle with the WWF.

Right now, this is where I see this heading. Flair and Bischoff cannot co-exist (and I hate Flair for promising Jeff 'SUCKS' Jarrett a title reign. He deserves a rusty nail to the eye for that tbh, not a right hand) for much longer if WCW is to survive. One, or both, will eventually wash their hands of the company, leaving a new backer, someone with financial clout and strong links to potential sponsors to take WCW onto the next level.

The backstage politics continues to cast a dark shadow over a company that currently is beginning to shine on-screen, and prosper. Hopefully there is a rainbow to come at the end of this cloud...

Some interesting news there, Szumi. I might be completely off here, but I wouldn't be surprised if you're gearing this to be the first BTB to have a true ending, considering the "story" route you've gone with. I really like these "behind the scenes" tidbits as not many people in the section go with them. Keep 'em coming, and let me know if I'm on the money or completely off the scent by PM.

Edit: You're getting all those sponsors from EWR right?

I was wondering when these problems were going to be made public, as it's obvious that things have been going south since the whole JJ-Flair "partnership" was revealed. I'm glad that the report got most of the facts right, and now it seems like the company is really in a bad way with the financial situation.

Flair and Easy E just continue to argue like they been from the start. Looks like the future is pretty bleak but if I know you, something will happen to make the situation better, but I'm just not sure when or where. This was a good segment to have before the next Nitro ... which you know I'm ready to read.

I like this whole sponsors leaving thing it just shows us the kind of pressure WCW are under, and gives us a whole lot to think about, while we wait for you to bless us with the next Nitro.

Bischoff and Flair's conversation totally rocked, and i like the way both men continue to bring up the past to get at each other, and i am looking forward to seeing what happens behind the scenes next.

This is very great work and this does show that the WCW looks to be going into a sinking ship again. Hopefully something good happens for WCW involving sponsors although I love the arguing between Flair/Bischoff. I can't wait until the Nitro show is posted and I also can't wait to read more updates in real life situations between Flair/The Bisch.

nWo Wednesday Nitro Preview- February 6, 2002

WE’RE TAKING OVER! The New World Order is in the house to host its second ever nWo Wednesday Nitro, live from the ALLTELL Arena, in Little Rock, Arkansas! We have invaded World Championship Wrestling, and this show is now under the command of the nWo! ‘The Perfect One’ Curt Hennig will lead the new commentary unit on nWo Nitro, calling the shots as he sees them, a surefire step up from the shoddy commentary WCW had to offer. Tune into nWo Nitro at 8PM EST to catch the new wave of professional wrestling run the show, the New World Order!

Last Wednesday night on Nitro, the New World Order revealed the dark truths about the lives of WCW President Ric Flair and his puppet leader of the Four Horsemen, ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ Shawn Michaels. The world now knows that Ric Flair never cared for his son David Flair, and only sent him to rehab for his cocaine addiction at the demands of his family. Shawn Michaels, thanks to the touching revelations of The Outsiders, has had the truth about his dark, sinful past, filled with infidelities that even the most gracious God would not forgive. The New World Order has driven Flair and Michaels out of town, and with the Four Horsemen and WCW in ruins, this is our turf now!

With the return of nWo Nitro comes the rightful and long overdue return of Eric Bischoff as authority over Nitro. The nWo President is officially in charge of nWo Nitro, and Eric Bischoff is making sure to provide our loyal nWo fans a night they will not forget! In your main event of the evening, the greatest tag team in the history of professional wrestling, The Outsiders, ‘Big Sexy’ Kevin Nash and ‘The Bad Guy’ Scott Hall, will team up once again as they reclaim the nWo Tag Team Titles from the current champions, the Filthy Vanilla Midgets, Billy Kidman and Rey Misterio. Plus, the systematic destruction of the Four Horsemen will continue this week, with Lance Storm as the next Horsemen to be kicked to the curb. While Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair were publicly embarrassed and emotionally tortured, on nWo Nitro, Lance Storm will be subjected to physical torture and see his career end when he faces the reigning nWo North American Champion, ‘The Career Killer’ Mike Awesome, in a tables match!

Also on this action packed New World Order Nitro, Eric Bischoff will allow the Cruiserweight Champion, Chavo Guerrero, to defend his title against ‘The Insane Luchadore’ Super Crazy. While the nWo endorses hiring foreign workers at cheap prices for our gardening, the jury is not yet out on these illegals as wrestlers. Consider this a try out, locos. You can expect this, and much, much more this Wednesday night; the New World Order is in town, so goodbye to the decrepit stars like Shawn Michaels, and enter the reign of nWo superiority! This is the new era of wrestling, folks. Eric Bischoff is the President of the greatest organization in history, and the take over is here. Eric Bischoff promises a new set for this new era, so be sure to tune into NBC at 8PM EST, and witness the invasion!

Confirmed Matches:
Filthy Vanilla Midgets © vs. The Outsiders – nWo Tag Team Titles
Lance Storm vs. Mike Awesome – Tables Match
Chavo Guerrero © vs. Super Crazy – WCW Cruiserweight Title Match

Wow, I am so excited to see another edition of Nitro with the nWo at the helm. Hennig on commentary was the shit last time ... so I expect you to top that right here. Some good matches lined up, and the paragraph about the Cruiserweight Title Match was about as racist as you can get. I expect good things from this show.

Brilliant.

Naturally, after last week's show this week had to belong to the nWo. I think in a reversal of last week, we'll see either Flair or Michaels (most likely Michaels) pop up somewhere in the show, perhaps costing the Outsiders the tag team gold.

Obviously I'll be reading.

Hey Szumi, i love this NWO Nitro concept, and i think it is a great way to keep things going after the epic show you produced for the last Nitro. Curt Hennig as announcer should be great as should Awesome and Storm.

Oh and as everyone else said LOL at the Chavo line.
