Hmmm Well Szum, basically Shawn Michaels was flawless except for the opening line if you check over it you will realize that the “all” that was in there, didn’t have to be and it made the sentence seem a bit messed up. However besides that Michaels was on song and I like how you mentioned he is fighting against his old self and bringing up all this old history was excellent. Kevin Nash interrupting HBK and once again even with Nash the dialogue was just perfect everything clicked and the fact that Nash made some good points makes it all that more compelling. Awesome main event set up for tonight and nice little touch at the end with NOW backing down. Honestly Szum just awesome stuff here, I don’t know what else to say I loved it.

Cruiserweight division getting some much needed time to show case there talents and well this match even though he was not a participant seemed to be all about Shane Helms. Helms basically just proved why he is hated by everybody and he also proved why he OWNS. Helms against Chavo is going to be an awesome match up, a must read to be honest.

Booker T was pissed about his car just as everyone who has a brain that read your show predicted, I expect some revenge tonight.

TNBT were always going over here just to continue the tension between O Haire and Palumbo and TFA and that’s exactly what happened. Match was nice with O Haire turning on Kidman and the drama just continues. After the match, Mysterio trying to get at O’ Haire was good but why would Chuck Palumbo just separate them and not help O Haire take out Mysterio?

NWO backstage are obviously not very happy with what has been happening as of late and I am interested to see what Hogans plan is… Hopefully something big

Booker T attacking Rick Steiner is very nice revenge indeed, I expect this to get Scott heated.

Backstage promo with the Filthy Animals and well nothing really interesting happened. It was basically just generic shit. I don’t mean shit as in shit I mean shit as in stuff LOL I just thought I would clear that up Meh at the segment though… Seriously.

Hogan sends a message, that is all that needs to be said about this match.

Booker T and Steiner trying to get it on and well parking lot brawl or next week sounds sick. You didn’t disappoint with Booker’s revenge either I found it to be quite entertaining.

It is Jericho right?

Michaels backstage getting ready for his match up and Flair trying to persuade him to do other wise and if Flair succeeded he would have became the biggest heel in the history of WCW.

The main event was excellent I loved the detail you put into it and it was a great encounter and it was the right result giving HBK the win. Very touching moment with the celebration afterwards and this was just terrific. I absolutely loved it.

Overall Szum another great show. I am currently loving this thread probably my second favorite thread to read Sorry LOL but yeah awesome shit Szum this thread continues to progress nicely.

Nitro Review:

That was quite the way to start the show, gotta be honest. I am glad that HBK came out to start and make his case and state his reasons for returning to wrestling. Loved how sentimental he was about his wife and family and everything, really made for a great promo. Like I said before, I think the debut will hold off for a little while, giving us some build, before he gets back to being “the wrestler”. Michaels looks set to continue his heated speech … but here comes NASH~. Great speech by Nash, as we really don’t get to see that much of him on the stick, but he sounded pretty good. I loved how much he ripped HBK and these two are really getting heated … before HBK challenges him!! Loved the massive stare down between the two factions to end the promo, getting us ready for what should be a huge Main Event, and yes Tony, one of the biggest nights in history.

I liked the way the CW division was showcased in this match, really showed that you have some talented guys that need to be used more. I love that Helms screwed Chavo out of the win, giving Hart a much needed boost. Helms makes it seem like there is an alliance but then takes out both Teddy and Evans. Helms owns on the mic and he is as cocky as ever heading into his match at Sin with Chavo. He does some real damage before Chavo’s crew comes down and scares him off, but his message was clearly sent tonight.

Guess this means revenge for Booker, huh? This should be pretty sweet.

The tag team match went pretty much the way I expected it to, with Kidman and O’Haire not getting along at all throughout. This leads to the Champs having the easy road to the win, destroying Kidman with their awesome double team move. Guess this shows just how greedy both the Lions and Animals are, getting into each others’ faces and allowing the Champs to believe that they really don’t have anything to worry about at Sin … even though I could see them losing.

Good to see the New World Order is a little distraught after what’s happened since Starrcade, but I think that they will begin getting back to the top, but it will take a few weeks. Hogan’s obviously thinking of something, and JJ is pissed at Dean. Hopefully we find out there matches at Sin soon, because the card seems a little bit light.

Damn, that was the perfect way for The Book Man to get some revenge. Steiner may just kill him over this … in “when steroid abuse takes lives”.

Very short and impactful interview by the Filthy Animals, with the tag match a strong possibility for next week, while Rey and Kidman made some good points. Hopefully they can join forces with the Lions again, because that will be the only way to take the belts off of the Thrillers.

Hogan beating this jobber was a complete SHOCKER. Just kidding, but it was a good way to get him on TV and also put the nWo over again as jack-offs. Hopefully we can see them get some matches for Sin announced … huh?

Wow, guess that we will get the Sin preview a few days early. I really don’t know what to expect from this, as you could go many different ways with Booker and Steiner. Just as long as it entertains … that’d be great.

BREAK THE WALLS … DOWN~!

Michaels doesn’t give a shit about anything that his doctor says, he’s going to the ring tonight to take down Big Sexy. And since you won’t end his run this soon … there’s no doubt in my mind that he will walk out the winner.

The Main Event was nothing short of what I expected, tbh, you did a fantastic job of selling HBK’s struggles, by allowing Nash to dominate the opening view minutes, before the dramatic comeback for Michaels. The ending was done perfectly, with Michaels having overcome so much, before he gathers all of his strength and delivers the final SWEET CHIN MUSIC, putting Nash down for the three. Two shows in a row ending with the Four Horsemen celebrating … thing are getting better for WCW every week. A great “feel good” moment, with Michaels winning in his return to the ring. Brilliantly done.

Another great show, Szumi, very well done. Just gets me more and more excited about Sin with each show. Next week should be very entertaining, considering only 2 members of the now have matches signed and none of the Horsemen do. Looking forward to it.

Default Re: WCW 2001- The Trio Ownership

Panic - I tend to only book 4 matches a show. I'm a firm believer in the philosophy that matches are merely props and filler, while the promos and angles do the story telling. However, as this last show highlighted, a match can - once and a while - be a beautiful segment. However, since I try to stay loyal the 11 segments of EWR (which I actually hardly ever do), usually only 4 matches. Plus, I try to stick to the WCW fashion of having a (somewhat) long segment at the open of the show. They're big believer in that.

'Freak - Actually, the "all" is meant to be in that opening line of the promo. It's commonly said like that in America. Haha, and yeah, that Animals promo... not meant to be a classic . They're not charismatic superstars, to say the least.

Patty - Expect match announcements for Sin pertaining to the nWo/Horsemen with the next preview for Nitro.

The reason that I jumped the gun on Michaels' return was for one simple reason: unpredictability. At this point, WCW is finally starting to make themselves legitimate competitors to the WWF in ratings. Fans are tuning in to see Michaels simply talk, find out why he's there. In return, they get a phenomenal match. It shows WCW will do anything, whenever; fans will have to keep tuning in repeatedly, or else they'll miss out.

Overall, I am satisfied with the quality of the work I'm producing. Reviews are down from the last time I was doing this, but I'm over it. I have some stuff planned in the near future that I'm quite happy about, so hopefully I can keep churning out top stuff. However, updates won't be quite as often, I imagine, being back at uni.

Perfect Poster's Nitro Review:

Sorry about the delay, really bugging to get up SS, still .

HBK to start of the show is a given, obviously. OK, I don't think we need to hear his sob stories. I wanna hear why he turned on the nWo, that bastard. Wonderful words by Shawn after the recap of his life story, and yay, nWo intervene! Aw damn, it's only Nash. Good words by Big sexy, but c'mon, it's Shawn fucking Michaels, I'm sure that's enough to make this generation of the 4 Horsemen elite. nWo trying to get one up on Shawn before their match tonight, but Shawn is ready for it? I don't know if that's believeable, especially with them coming out from under the ring. From the crowd I can maybe see, but I just couldn't imagine them "sitting" under the ring until the nWo comes out. Maybe it's just me, though.

I was always a fan of the WCW Cruisers, always will be. A good little match to start off the night and get the crowd hot. I'm a little confused about what you said in the preview, though. You said it was going to be a gauntlet, so I immediately thought of a gauntlet with one-on-one, but when I saw it was a four-way, I was confused, seeing as the other two (minus Hart) were just there for more spots. Either way, having Chavo not go over after interferencre by Helms just furthers the feud and proves the awesomeness of Helms, tbh, especially with him taking out the winners afterwards also.

at the interaction with Booker. Sounds like something he would say, but I'd imagine you'd be pissed too if your nice vehicle was destroyed by Steiner, although he OWNS as well. I wish this was the main focus of the show, as Steiner is gold on the mic, but the damn nWo steal the spotlight...just like in real life.

Very interesting tag match, with one member from the two challenging teams against the champs. Not surprised to see NBT go over for 2 reasons 1) After what happened between Kidman and O'Haire last week, it's enivitable that O'Haire was going to turn on Kidman. and 2) The NBT are going to lose the titles to either team at Sin, so they're going to look strong going into it. NBT are going to be the ones pinned at Sin, though, so we can finally see the feud between the Animals and O'Haire & Palumbo finally break out.

nWo interaction, yay! Jarrett/Malenko...make it happen plz. Then you can have Hogan, Nash, and Hall face HBK, Storm, and Anderson in a 6 man tag. That would be a hell of a card, Szumi, book it now.

That's a way to get revenge if you're Booker, attack your opponent's brother. Poor "Dog-Faced Gremlin", though, wasted all that money on a sandwich, now ruined. :P

Meh promo by the Animals. Konnan is decent on the mic, but in his tag match next week, it'll be god-awful if he gets in for more then 30 seconds. True story. Why do you think he only talked for LAX? Either way, just get the straps off NBT and have the actual feud between the two teams and I'll be fine.

Question: What was the point of the squash with Hogan? Clearly he doesn't need to be put over, and it's fucking Lash Leroux, nobody will care anyways. I'd rather have him cut a promo, brother, even if the show has been heavy nWo/Horsemen orientated.

Parking Lot Brawl~! Seriously, if these guys got more screen time then they already are, it'd be a beyond epic feud.

Jericho~! If you screw us over with someone else, I'll rip your balls away. Consider that a warning.

Finally, Main Event time. I'm happy and confused about this at the same time. I'm happy you gave this match a lot of time and had it a PPV feel, but why give this out on free-TV? I know you like un-predictablility, but fuck, it is two weeks away, these greedy bastards can wait 13 days if they want Shawn Michaels to return. Either way, Shawn going over is about as predictable as Goldbergs streak in WCW. Great ME, though, to end this great show. Although it was nWo/Horsemen orientated, it was another solid effort, Szumi, which is why this is one of my favorite threads. 8.5/10

c_class_superstar’s Nitro feedback

First off I have finally caught up to you. I have loved this fed more than any other in the past month. I won’t lie and say I read every single show, but I’ve read this the most. I am now caught up and plan on reviewing your stuff man.

Great opening with Shawn Michaels. Very emotional promo, sets up why he is a horseman and his motivation for coming back. Classic face Michaels here. N.W.O. music and Nash arrives solo, very different for those guys. Nash does what Nash does best hits Michaels with a worked shoot. I’m seeing these two lock up at Souled Out. Nash questions the new Horsemen’s elite status. I think with Flair and Michaels at the helm, they are going to do just fine. Storm/Michaels will be the break out of the group. Holy shit, you’re putting Nash/Michaels on tonight! Nice. N.W.O. rush the ring, but The Horseman lay in wait. What? They are under the ring? Really? Great opening promo and great set up for what is sure to be a fantastic main event.

Back from commercial break and its Cruiserweight action time. Let me open this by saying I have loved what you have done with Teddy Hart here. Just push Crowbar will ya? LOL. Back and forth action, but Shane Helms has made an impact blasting Chavo with the belt. Why is he soooooo evil? LOL. Teddy Hart picks up a tainted victory…but that’s okay. Shane is on mic, selling his feud with Chavo. God I miss WCW and its Cruiser division. You are doing a great job establishing the new era in that division in WCW. Animals out to help Chavo. Great job setting up Helms/Chavo btw. And you have Helms as one evil SOB.

More car trouble for Booker T. his poor car. Scott Steiner is out to make a statement.

Young Lions/Animals unity is done, thank you. I like Young Lions, you’ve done well at building them. Not saying the same thing for the NBT. Can’t get into them for some reason. I hope there is a title change soon. I for one hope it goes to the young lions.

N.W.O. backstage. Nice set up, N.W.O. on the ropes here. I personally would love to see Jarrett/Malenko at Sin. Hogan, Hall and Nash are going to kill the Horsemen. If anyone in the NW.O can do it, it’s the originals.

Booker T. is after Steiner, this feud continues. Nice to see Booker T. evolve over the past year. Booker T. taking out Rick Steiner to send a message to Scott works too. That is if Scott has human emotions. LOL.

Konnan on the mic…eh. Set up for the upcoming weeks. At sin we have a triangle match. Chavo n. Konnan taking on Awesome and Helms next week. All good set up, and we cut to the ring.

Lash LeRoux is waiting his funeral. And her comes Hogan. A vicious side of Hogan after the match. He spray paints him. This is a good way to set up the return of the Old School N.W.O. antics.

AWESOME. Booker T. and Steiner won’t wait for Sin, next week they are going at it. I sense a street fight type brawl. Less of a match than a war. Yep. Parking lot…nice. I say Steiner kills Booker going into the PPV though.

Chris Jericho…is coming I’m thinking. GOD I HOPE SO! Backstage and Ric Flair is talking to Michaels. Pep talk. Nice sell on Michaels ring rust. Please don’t turn Whipser into Sharmell or Karen Angle…please. Remember the Steamboat rule…(Faces’ wives at ringside kill them…period). What can I say I’m old school.

Main event time….And my god man, this is PPV quality on Nitro. Some may say your giving it away but I know better. You’re competing. The WWE/WWF at the time are on top and with Michaels and the star power you have you have a chance to knock them off. Insane match. Michaels pulls out the win, N.W.O. know they are beat tonight and aren’t trying anything here. They are going to wait it out until Sin I bet. Horsemen out to celebrate with Michaels. Very Emotion finish to the show man. Well Done.

Sin Card is looking good. Maybe a Horsemen vs. N.W.O six man and a Jeff Jarrett vs. Dean Malenko match…that would make me happy.

Here's the preview for our last Nitro before Sin. I'll say it now, for those expecting a PPV in full, think again. I'm not wasting my time writing a silly ppv that will be over 100 pages long. That's just not worth the hassle. All feedback you guys left will be returned right after I post the new Nitro probably, as if I try to feedback before I post a new show, I end up taking too long to get the damn show up . Thanks for the comments, and here's yo' preview.

President Flair Books Two Main Event Matches For Sin

With less than a week to go until World Championship Wrestling’s first pay per view of the new year, President Ric Flair has booked two huge matches for Sin! The first match comes after a challenge by Jeff Jarrett, as ‘The Iceman’ Dean Malenko takes on ‘The Chosen One’ Jeff Jarrett! The Chosen One has wanted Dean Malenko in the ring ever since December 26, 2001, the night that The Man of 1000 Holds returned to WCW, preventing Jeff Jarrett from cheating to retain his World Heavyweight Title against Booker T and the current Champion, ‘Big Poppa Pump’ Scott Steiner. The loss of his precious title has sparked a new level of intensity in Jarrett, and at Sin, he will get his long awaited grudge match against the Horseman! Dean Malenko is not one to back down from a challenge, and the shooter will be looking to lock Jarrett in that Texas Cloverleaf of his at Sin!

The second match Flair made is somehow an even bigger one! His three remaining Horsemen – ‘The Enforcer ‘ Cal Anderson, Lance Storm, and the new leader of the Horsemen, ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ Shawn Michaels – will step up to challenge three men who know what the New World Order is about, its originals! ‘Hollywood’ Hulk Hogan, ‘The Bad Guy’ Scott Hall, and ‘Big Sexy’ Kevin Nash – the man Shawn Michaels defeated in his return match this past week on Wednesday Nitro after a four year absence – will lock horns with the three members of the Four Horsemen! There is no section of the nW more cohesive than these three men, the three men who brought the New World Order first together back in the summer of 1996! They’re some of the biggest superstars in the history of this sport, and not to mention, the best schemers and manipulators too! The Four Horsemen are here to rid WCW of the New World Order, and if they want to finally succeed in their mission, they must first start with the foundations. This is a match with epic implications, and could sway the balance in this bloodshed war between the Four Horsemen and the nW for good! Does Ric Flair know what he is putting the Four Horsemen into? Will the Four Horsemen finally be able to get a big victory of the nW, or will the New World Order do what it has always done – stand tall? We’ll find out at Sin!

-------------------

WCW Wednesday Nitro Preview – January 23, 2002

World Championship Wrestling will host its fourth primetime edition of Wednesday Nitro of 2002 on NBC this Wednesday night at 8 PM EST! WCW will be live at Missouri University, as Nitro airs from Mizzou Arena, in Columbia, Missouri! ‘The Professor’ Mike Tenay and ‘The Voice of WCW’ Tony Schiavone will be calling the shots for another two-hour, action packed edition of World Championship Wrestling, so be sure to tune in for this monumental event!

We’re just four days away from World Championship Wrestling’s first pay per view of the new year, Sin, and in the past few days, President Ric Flair has delivered two more main event matches! ‘The Chosen One’ Jeff Jarrett will get his long awaited grudge match against ‘The Iceman’ Dean Malenko, and the three New World Order originals – ‘Hollywood’ Hulk Hogan, ‘The Bad Guy’ Scott Hall, and ‘Big Sexy’ Kevin Nash – will stand up to the rest of the Four Horsemen – ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ Shawn Michaels, ‘The Enforcer’ Cal Anderson, and Lance Storm! Shawn Michaels is one week removed from his emotional victory over his former best friend, Kevin Nash, and while the return match ended well for Michaels, the Heartbreak Kid will not be in action tonight. President Flair and Michaels both agreed HBK needs to rest his back for Sin so the new leader of the Horsemen can be 100% for Sin. None of the eight men newly booked for Sin are in matches for tonight, but with The Nature Boy calling the shots, you can expect at least some of these wrestlers to enter the squared circle tonight on Nitro!

Current WCW World Heavyweight Champion ‘Big Poppa Pump’ Scott Steiner and four-time World Heavyweight Champion have a lot in common. Both men created a Hall of Famer career for themselves as tag team wrestlers with their brothers, and have since cemented those careers as Hall of Fame worthy by becoming all stars in WCW! There is a lot more that could be linked between the two superstars, but their biggest connection? They both are competing for Big Poppa Pump’s WCW World Heavyweight Title at Sin, and they absolutely hate each other! This is a rivalry that dates back to years ago, and has heated up once more. After the two men agreed to Booker’s challenge for the World Heavyweight Title, Big Poppa Pump escalated their rivalry, demolishing Booker T’s pricy Cadillac with his trusty lead pipe! How did Booker T respond? Finding and assaulting Steiner’s Hall of Fame tag team partner, brother Rick Steiner! The retaliation by Booker has sent Steiner’s poor temper soaring to new heights, and this week on Nitro, they’re forgetting all about wrestling at Sin, and fighting! In the parking lot! WCW refuses to sanction this street fight between the two men, but you can be assured that nothing will stop these two behemoths from beating the crap out of one another! This is a moment in the history of Nitro that could be very bloody and very nasty, and one that will be remembered forever!

Also on Nitro, the WCW Cruiserweight Champion, ‘Sugar’ Shane Helms, and WCW North American Champion, ‘The Career Killer’ Mike Awesome, will team up take on their challengers for Sin, Chavo Guerrero and Konnan! Konnan challenged the two to this tag team match after Helms’ vicious sneak attack on Guerrero last week, an assault that resulted in a concussion for the third generation superstar! Chavo is not 100% to wrestle, but he is demanding to team up with his Filthy Animals running buddy. Mike Awesome, however, is not looking forward to teaming with the cocky Helms, but President Flair has signed it anyways! Another member of the Filthy Animals – Rey Misterio – will be in action against Chuck Palumbo and one-half of the Tag Team Champions, Mark Jindrak! The Natural Born Thrillers will defend the WCW Tag Team Titles against both the Young Lions and the Filthy Animals team of Rey Misterio and Billy Kidman at Sin, and this will serve as the final warm up for these three teams heading into the first pay per view of the new year. A win here will serve as a tremendous momentum boost to the winning team, so a victory here could determine the winner at Sin, and thus the team that walks out WCW Tag Team Champions! You can expect this, and much, much more Wednesday night! Nitro promises to be an exciting showcase of professional wrestling that you do not want to miss, so be sure to tune into NBC this Wednesday night at 8 PM EST to catch all the action! The year 2002 is upon us, and World Championship Wrestling is just heating up!

Confirmed Matches:
Booker T vs. Scott Steiner – Non-Sanctioned Parking Lot Fight
Chavo Guerrero & Konnan vs. Mike Awesome & Shane Helms
Chuck Palumbo (w/Sean O’Haire) vs. Mark Jindrak (w/NBT) vs. Rey Misterio (w/Billy Kidman)

Nitro Preview looks just as stacked as always, Szumi. Love that we will get those two huge match at Sin, since the card was a little bit light before you added those matches. I expect another godly promo on this show, tbh. Some good matches signed, as everyone wants to see what happens between Booker and the Big Booty Daddy. Also, the two other Sin preview matches should be hotly contested, with Chavo trying to get his revenge. Review as always buddy.

Nice preview TAFKA. I will be checking this out and hopefully review. The Nitro card and the PPV card looks great. Can't wait until the show is posted.

The two new matches announced for Sin are both pretty epic tbh. They are both matches that even though they were not announces, we knew they were coming so it is not like they are lacking hype or anything.

Onto the preview, you announcing no matches for the superstars who are in the matches that were just made but announcing that some of them probably will be in action automatically gets me interested due to me wanting to see what happens before Sin. Booker T/Steiner street fight is another segment that will be full of excitement and i don't know why but i just feel as if Steiner will get the advantage heading into the PPV. A pretty stacked card really it is looking very good just don't give the Filthy Animals some more mic time. I will be reviewing however it may come a bit late as after today i am not going to be around for a few days.
