Raw Review

Awesome opening promo to start things off. Hunter came out very much in character, clearly going through denial, which is to be expected. RVD didn’t say much which is probably a good thing, but what he did was in character nicely as well. I was glad to see you actually let H get a bit out before RVD came out too. Cena coming out at the end is expected, and this thing between Cena and H is getting personal here, I think I can see RVD winning at Vengeance with the Cena and H thing continuing after Vengeance without the title involved. Nice way to start, Vince coming out was typically in character and we’ve got a big match for the main event, should be interesting to see how Cena avoids getting totally destroyed.

Steady little back and forth tag match here, with Test coming out looking totally dominant after finishing Carlito with the big boot. Striker getting the pinfall over Carlito was a nice touch too.

Wasn’t a big fan of this promo, the ending was alright, but the start of it just seemed pretty forced to me.

Nice promo from Christian here, short, but effectively hyped his match tonight and he was nicely in character again. I hope to see him in the title frame soon, but who’s he facing?

Oh. Christian is up now, and he squashes Conway. Fair enough.

Wow. Big Show and Kane beat the hell out of each other, gaining some awesome exposure for their feud and I’m expecting their match at Vengeance to be totally brutal.

MNM go over the Highlanders, which was required. Decent enough match here, but never did MNM look like losing.

The Helms/Shelton match was actually really entertaining, it was worded well and had a nice flow to it which had me easily picturing what was going on in my head.

Took me a while to realise that this was the Highlight Reel, I just thought it was Jericho cutting a promo, but none the less, the start was excellent, and it set a precedent for the rest of it. Great promo from my end, I was pleased to see that Jericho didn’t get attacked by Michaels and left the ring before HBK could get in there, nice heel tactics.

Hardy picks up the win over Masters which furthers their feud, I dare say this one will probably end at Vengeance. Wasn’t a big fan of this match, but it was very realistic in that it was pretty much what you’d expect to see on WWE TV.

Sure enough, Masters challenges Hardy after the match. Slight error though…
Quote:
I can guarantee you that you will be in the MasterLock and that you will break out of my deadly submission move.
Hunter and Vince promo hyping the main event, didn’t like it at all, both guys seemed right out of character.

Entertaining main event, with Vince tapping out to the STF, my question is, who called for the bell? Coz I’m damn sure Triple H wouldn’t have. As expected RVD interferes, and I think this was needed, just to keep his involvement in our minds. Big ending to the show with Hunter coming out on top, looking extremely dominant, which was needed after his loss at ONS.

Over all, another enjoyable show, a couple of the promos were a bit off, but nothing major.

Default Re: WWE Unleash the Fury

HHH was good and in character, and played it off nicely, upset after his loss last night. I knew he'd get added to the Vengeance title match, gosh I'm smart
Here comes RVD and he has about a minute to talk before The Game attacks him, only for Cena to attack HHH. Finally McMahon appears and Cena vs Vince tonight with HHH as the enforcer in a No DQ match, I smell a mugging, but RVD could well save Van Dam. Good, short and to the point promo to open the show

Well the better team loses, but this means Carlito must pick up the victory on Sunday, he's the better guy allround and while I enjoy Striker, he doesn't deserve to go over CCC yet

I cannot tell you how much I dislike Beth Phoenix. Trish is the best, Mickie & Victoria can wrestle too, and if not for BP I'd enjoy the Womens division on RAW atm. When she goes I will lol

Christian booked tonight? Sounds good. Christian should maybe stick to being a face, but I'm not too sure with Austin coming back, then again, these two could go against McMahon's plans along with RVD, Cena & HBK... Honestly, I dunno lol but it should be interesting when it happens

As expected, easy win for Christian, just to get him on the card

Kane & Big Show. Ugh, what a slog that'll be. No Holds Barred? Loser Leaves RAW? Liking that, might slightly save the match and I can see Show losing, but Kane could too, as both would be good acquisitions to SD!

Highlanders get a slight step ahead of MNM here, won't last tho, MNM are a class above the Highlanders IMO

Helms could very well do it tonight. I hope not, as Shelton deserves it more, the IC belt that is, but Helms is still good, just overpushed at the moment lol

Benjamin wins it thanks to a DQ! Helms won't be happy about that

Jericho was great, you had him down well here and out comes Flair for really no reason as Jericho beats him down only for HBK to make the save. Maybe Flair will join in on this RAW vs McMahon faction feud too? It's going off on RAW at the moment

Jeff Hardy goes over Masters as thought he would, he could be the next man involved in the IC title picture after the Benjamin/Helms 7 series is done. Hardy/Masters rematch at Vengeance? Eh...

I don't think it'll go according to plan for Vinnie Mac tonight

Main event was good and even tho HHH was pretty much making it a 2 vs 1 match, RVD makes the save for Cena and fights HHH into the crowd while Cena batters Vince, and makes him tap to the STFU. However, ending the show, The King of Kings stands tall above Cena & RVD, hopefully not a sign of things to come, but you never know...

Nice show as always KOP. 8/10

WWE: RAW - June 12, 2006 – Review
The concept of this opening promo to set up John Cena vs. Vince McMahon with Triple H as the Special Ring Enforcer was a good announcement, and it’ll surely hype the Vengeance main-event, but Triple H, in this promo looked way out of character in my opinion. Apart from Triple H, everyone was good and really very good concept there.

The match’s overview seemed good to me, and personally I’m really looking forward to Striker/Carlito meeting at Vengeance, because I know that’d be a good simple wrestling contest, and because this rivalry have a strong build-up. Anyway, I just didn’t like Striker pinning Carlito because in this way, Carlito’s momentum has now been killed. Personally, I would’ve liked to see Striker or Test pinning Haas.

Interesting confrontation between Mickie James and Beth Phoenix at the backstage, which was needed to further fill-in some fuel in the Women’s Championship match at the pay-per-view; Vengeance. Both, Beth and Mickie looked good too.

Christian seemed very cocky and he also seemed a bit charismatic in this promo, which was really nice seeing that his entire persona is being cocky, and charismatic. I can tell ya that the Peeps Show was be off the hook. Christian will likely win his match tonight though. As expected, Christian picks up a neat, clean, sweet victory over Rob Conway. What’ll be stored next week for Christian is what I’m wondering now.

Vengeance really needs a good amount of hype, and I can tell you that you are doing a really good job on producing that one.

Well, it was a great, messy brawl between two of the companies biggest monsters, and it sure as heel added some fuel in their rivalry/build-up. Kane tried it all, but Big Show just got the better of him because he’s the bigger man, but what’ll happen at Backlash? I’m predicting Kane to stand tall at Backlash.

Indeed a huge victory for Highlander’s Robbie. And yes, if you stick to the Highlanders/MNM feud, the tag team division will get better and it’ll be much more entertaining. I know that you probably won’t bring in new tag teams because I’ve read and I also have felt it that you are trying to make this thread as realistic as possible with the real Double Double E (Oops, Vladimer Kozlov’s quote, lol.)

Dude, I have really liked the change of Gregory Helms in your thread. He’s really under-rated (I’m talking about the real WWE/Double Double E, lol.) This promo was great. He was awesome looking in character, and Maria mentioning her Hurricane’s character and him replying to that was a nice touch to this promo. I can say that this promo did what it wanted to – to hype their Best of Seven Series Match.

Also, I say that Shelton has to win this match to make the Best of Seven Series look more interesting/valuable. And yes, after a good wrestling match between the guys, it does happened the same, with the DQ finish though. Personally, I’d have liked to see an aftermath to this one to give their feud more bit build-up, which I haven’t seen since few weeks.

Now, this was a decent promo to hype up the rivalry between Jericho and Michaels more. But at the start of the promo, I would have liked to see Jericho doing his famous catchphrase though (Welcome to RAW is Jericho!). And when Flair came out, I’d liked to see even better confrontation between these men. But anyway, the promo was decent, and as I said, it did what it wanted to – to hype the feud between Michaels/Jericho more. I’m wondering what part will Flair play at Backlash though.

Jeff Hardy picks up a huge victory over Masters, which I truly didn’t expected, but surprises are good. Aftermath, Masters challenges Hardy for a match at Vengeance? Well, it looks nice, and I can see Masters leveling the feud at Vengeance.

Triple H and Vince’s hype to the main event was needed, but it would have done in a better way, because to be honest, it looked bland. Rob Van Dam returned the favor to Cena, by helping him out, which was extremely expected. And then Cena’s win over Vince was also a good one, which gave some of the momentum back to Cena, and the Triple Threat Match at Vengeance looks sick. And yes, when I skimmed to read the card for Vengeance, you have also wrote that Jeff Hardy vs. Chris Masters for Vengeance, but as far as I know, Jeff didn’t accepted his challenge. Masters just challenged. Overall, it was a good show. I’d just to see some more surprises though because now things are looking so expected.

I don't see how it's killed Carlito's "momentum" Striker needed some revenge seeing as Test lost to Carlito and a few weeks ago Carlito helped Haas get a win over Striker. So really, Striker needed some revenge so to speak to make the feud a little bit more even.

Actually teams are coming in to both threads, I just don't want to rush it. And make it seem very unrealistic at the same time but still, teams will start coming in soon.

Triple H was Special Enforcer, not Special Referee. He was on the outside to prevent interference from RVD but of course, that didn't work.

Anyways, I'll probably post Smackdown Preview tomorrow night or Sunday along with some news (if I can think up of any news!) If any shows get posted, tomorrow I might find some time to review them that I have to return but anyways, that's pretty much the update for now.

Deadman_014's Raw Review

I'd like to start off with sorry for being late here, but better late then never I suppose. Good opening promo, HHH got a good start off to it, and RVD came in nicely. Cena made his appearance, and Vince made a nice main event here to solidify a big ending for sure. Good match to open the show, Striker gets some nice build with Test as well, and it helps build the match. The thing I didn't like is that Carlito was pinned by Striker, could of had Haas take the fall it would of been better, but its alright if Carlito wins the 2nd encounter at Vengeance.

I wasn't a huge fan of that women's promo, multi women promo's aren't the best promos, but it added some more build to whats going to happen at Vengeance in the Women's title match. Christian gets a nice little squash, and not much to say here about that. We see the Vengeance promo which looks good, and we go through this to the Big Show & Kane brawl which ended with a nice big chokeslam by Show. I think Show is leaving after his short return, and Kane will continue in helping The McMahons causes after that probably.

Big win here for Rory, a nice little match there, and it puts Highlanders over as a possible contender to win at Vengeance, because this is odviously building towards a match then. I enjoyed the Gregory Helms interview here, it wasn't the greatest really, but it was entertaining with Helms probably getting a loss tonight so this leads to Vengeance. Of course, Benjamin wins tonight, and they continue a very nice description again. The Highlight Reel was good, Flair got his signature lines in, Jericho got some heat. Jericho attacked Flair and HBK saves him, a very predictable segment, but it was alright.

Jeff goes over Masters, I don't understand this much, but then Masters wants a rematch. Basically back to back squashers then for Jeff, hopefully the match at Vengeance is readable, and not horrific or as bad as the match sounds to be. Little useless promo there to add more build to the main event before its up, and we reach the Main Event now. I liked this much so, HHH hits Cena with the sledge, but he survives enough to win. RVD helped him win, and after all in the end Cena beats McMahon. Surprisingly after we see HHH hit a pedigree on Cena, you didn't say he finished off RVD on the outside, but thats just nit pickin heh. Solid show again bud, very good one, and a nice ending that surprised me as I expected the faces to prevail then celebrate. Good show.

HBKicon Reviews RAW (Return Review)

Opening Promo: Nice way to start the show with Triple H coming out and announcing that it's Triple Threat at Vengeance. I liked how Cena and Van Dam came out and attacked HHH. mcMahon comes out and announces a huge main event for tonight!

Carlito/Haas vs. Striker/Test: Nice opening match here and a great win for the heels. It was nice to see Striker on the winning side of things and maybe we have a new tag team in Striker/Test?

Womens Promo: Nice womens promo here with some good interaction between Beth and Mickie. This is a great match that I am much looking forward to.

Christian Promo: Nice promo here from CC. The Peep Show at Vengeance will be good but his in ring return tonight looks great. I wonder who his opponent will be.

Christian vs. Rob Conway: Squash match. I do not like these but it had to be done. CC heads to Vengeance with a victory.

Big Show/Kane Promo: This was very good. I am not sure if they are in a match at Vengeance yet but man this was certianly a storyline builder. I loved this promo. Such intensity.

Johnny Nitro vs. Robbie McAllister: Good match here with a few good bumps and such. What a win for Robbie but I am upset to see Nitro lose. Oh well, life goers on.

Helms Promo: This was confusing. DId Helms just turn or no? I couln't tell, but that is my fault. Not yours. Helms/Benjamin match would own.

Helms vs. Benjamin: What a match this would have been. I am not feeling the DQ ending in a best of seven series but it was alright I guess. I think this one will go all seven matches.

Jericho/Flair Promo: This was very good here. I loved the build up towards HBK/Jericho and Jericho gets the last laugh tonight, I expect a different result comes Vengeance.

John Cena vs. Mr. McMahon: This was a very violent main event. It hyped the match at Vengeance and it gave Cena some momentum heading to the show. My only thing is that Triple H is starting to look very weak.

Overall: 8/10. I loved this show and it had very good hype for Vengeance. Nice job with this one KOP.

Vinnie/Trips/RVD/Cena-I liked this promo, had good length and everyone was in charcter and such. The only thing was wouldn't Cena be a little happy about getting to fight Vince? I mean even with HHH, he'd still be able to beat him down.

Match 1-I don't really see where this is all going, I mean I liek all 4 men, but I'm not to interested in a Test/Striker friendship. I don't know your whole backstory though and where you are going with this.

Christian interview-Didn't really seem to be in character to be honest, I mean he was doing fine and all, but it just didn't have that Christian "edge", if you get what I'm saying.

Match 2-Nice win by Christian and you did manage to get me excited about teh return of The Peep Show.

Vignette-I liked it a lot, but...

Quote:
Narrator: Most importantly, these men are here for one thing, retribution.
That line just didn't fit in my opinion

Big Show/Kane brawl-I actually enjoyed this it made their match have that much more desire in it, and you can tell it'll be real hell at Vengance

Match 3-What a win, I don't think you have much care for pushing Nitro, even with outside interefernce, it should have been an easy Nitro win.

Helms promo-I love Benji v Helms what an awesome series. Great idea.

Match 4-Nice match and like I said I love the booking here.

Jericho/Flair- You ahd them both and what a great promo it was right until you said "save it pal" and then "Save it assclowns." Overall though a good promo I like dit a lot.

Match 5- Nice match here and this could have beena good opener for RAW. Hardy and Masters are able to put on a match even though Masters is "limited"

Masters promo-I'm not goign to point out the slip up, but I think you relaized it with masters telling Hardy he'll break the Master's lock. Also this was pretty good promo from Masters, who usaully fails on the mic.

Match 6-Nice match here and good to see Cena get the win it's more realistic that way. RVD v Cena v Trips isn't going to be five stars, but with KOP writing it will be damn close.

Overall good show and I'm having a tough time putting a number rating on it, but I'll try. 8.5-9

RAW Review

~Not a bad way to open the show than with The Game. He cuts a solid promo, used to this Triple H. Complaining and bitching about what happened last night, how it was unfair, fluke win blah blah blah. Same old stuff from him. Here comes the champion, still high off of his win. I'm sorry, hot off his win. Anyway, not a bad promo, and looks like we're continuing this feud, and adding Cena into the mix as well, which could provide for a good match at Vengeance. Cena vs McMahon doesn't sound like much, and I'm betting Cena will win just to build the feud even more.

~Okay tag match to kick off RAW match wise. Looked to be a good contest. Striker and Test get the victory, and it somewhat looks like we're going to get a feud out of this, which could be decent.

~Decent James/Phoenix promo. I somewhat like this feud so far, and this could be interesting to see how this feud goes until Vengeance.

~Nice Christian promo. He seemed very much in character, and the Peep Show with Stone Cold should be awesome. I cannot wait for that one. Looking forward to see if Christian is in action tonight, and it looks as if you're pushing Christian into the main event scene once again, and it should be great to see how you do it.

~Nice match for Christian. Squash match as it was, it continues to catapult Christian. Liking the way you're using him so far, and like I said, I can't wait to see where you go with him.

~Interesting confrontation between Kane and Big Show. Looks like these two are going to start feuding soon, and Big Show finishes the job by chokeslamming the monster through the table. I'll be interested to see where this goes next. The match at Vengeance should be pretty good, hopefully it is as crazy as it just was.

~A decent match, and a good win for Robbie. This only builds the MNM/Highlanders feud, which so far has been good. The tag match at Vengeance should be alright, and I'm not really expecting anything great from it, as the Highlanders aren't the greatest wrestlers in the world.

~Alright promo from Helms. Wasn't terrible, but wasn't great. Short, but it hyped up the fifth match in the Best of 7. Something tells me this isn't ending anytime soon. Hopefully this goes seven matches and Benjamin becomes champ. But knowing that you're a Helms mark, that may not happen.

~Great match between Helms and Benjamin. Not surprised this went another match. And the DQ finish was well executed, and I believe this will end in a count out next week just to go into a seventh match, which should be awesome at Vengeance.

~Great Jericho/Flair promo. Jericho starts off well, keeping himself in character. Flair was good as well, and obviously this only builds the Jericho/Michaels feud, which should end in an AWESOME match come Vengeance. Jericho gets pissed off at Flair quickly, and the two go at it!! Enziuguri!! Now Jericho has, HBK!! HBK!! HBK makes the save, which is great as it only betters this feud, which has been booked greatly so far.

~Okay match between Hardy and Masters. As you noted it's just to build the feud with the two of them, and Hardy getting the victory is good. Not hoping for a great match come Vengeance, as this pair isn't the greatest.

~Vince and Triple H are ready, and the main event should be pretty good.

~As I expected, Cena gets out of the main event with the win. Taking out HHH makes the feud better, as it immediately gives Cena a momentum boost in this feud. Should be an interesting Triple Threat Match at Vengeance, as there is no clear winner right now. I'm betting on Van Dam, but nothing is always predictable.

~Overall, 8/10, not the greatest show wrestling wise, but some good promos here and there, and a good show overall.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown Preview for Friday June 16, 2006

Tonight, Friday Night Smackdown emenates from Madison Square Garden and what a show is in order. After last week's main event, the World-Heavyweight champion, Kurt Angle was attacked by a masked man. Nothing has been made of it other than that this man is coming for Angle's gold as he used Angle's title belt to lay the champion out. Kurt Angle has demanded mic time to open the show tonight and to get an answer. Will Angle find out who was the man that attacked him after the match?

Last week, The Undertaker made his "return" so to speak during an interview with Batista. The lights went off and Undertaker spoke to Batista even though the Deadman clearly wasn't there. Undertaker seems to still be looking to come after Batista despite beating the Animal at WrestleMania but Undertaker hasn't had enough. The Deadman has promised that when he returns, he will wreak havoc on Batista. Tune in to see what the Deadman has planned for the Animal.

In the main event tonight, Edge will be going one on one with Chris Benoit. Two weeks ago Edge and Orton fought in a Triple Threat Match with Kurt Angle for the World-Heavweight Championship but fell short. Last week, Edge and Orton teamed together to fight Angle and Chris Benoit, Angle's pick for a tag partner. Edge and Orton were victorious but if it wasn't enough, they had to attack the Rabid Wolverine after the match. Tonight Benoit looks for his revenge against Edge and can he get the win that he needs to do so.

This week, the self proclaimed "Hottest" Free Agent on the market, Montel Vontavious Porter makes his debut. Better known as MVP, Porter promises the rates of Smackdown are about to get even higher with him on the show now. Porter makes his debut tonight but will he wrestle is the question? Nothing has been made certain of this and we'll have to see what goes down.

For all of this and more, tune into Friday Night Smackdown, this week at 8/7 CT on the CW Network.

WWE.com News and Notes

With there being only one more Raw until Vengeance, expect two more matches to be announced to round out the card at Vengeance. Right now there are six matches and the big matches selling for the show is of course RVD/Cena/HHH and Jericho/HBK. WWE is feeling that their show will be good and have good buys.

The buildup for the Great American Bash will begin soon as of right now, some has already began. Matches have been set for the show and it promises to be a great show. The main event is mainly set to begin it's build and more will come of it on this week's Smackdown.

Two wrestlers have already gave their notice to the company. One plans to leave within the month while the other is planning to leave before the summer is over. However they are written off is the question and more will become of that when it is available.

Default Re: WWE Unleash the Fury

Good news, I agree, Vengeance is looking awesome. Simply to put it lol.

Wonder who's leaving? I think the one in the summer COULD, not sure but I have a feeling, it's Stone Cold. And for the guy who's released in the next week, I got no clue.

SmackDown! looks like it'll be good, I'll get a review up when I can.
