Was a good promo from McMahon, big main event which RVD doesn't seem to mind as it's gonna be under ECW Rules, but what was the point of Heyman coming out? Really, that ruined it, and could've waited for next week or later tonight for Heyman to plug the ECW PPV

Please god get some good tag teams in soon like Apple Spitter mentioned before from either TNA or older teams, even draft one from SmackDown!, because 3MW have NO challenge left. First Kane/Show, then Goldust/Eugene, now Venis/Viscera? Ugh

I thought Carlito/Masters was finished after Backlash, hopefully next weeks match is the end of this feud

Womens matches are so bland, no matter who writes them, and Beth Phoenix has debuted. Yay. As you can I tell, I don't care for Womens segments

Nice promo from Striker, I like his partnership with Test, just would seem to work well in real life too IMO if done right. I wonder who Striker will feud with next

Angle cuts a typical whining promo and Flair accepts the challenge for a match. No doubt just a way to get Flair on the card and give Angle something to do before he gets a better feud, Angle picks up the win as per usual

Cena may turn heel after this interview, or not, but either way, we might be seeing a new side to John Cena in the coming weeks

Shelton/Helms felt kinda rushed, but I can understand you wanting to keep the feud going, as they had a great match at Backlash, although if Helms takes the IC strap from Shelton, I'll shed a tear or two

Carlito gets a win over Conway, only thanks to Masters smashing him with a chair for a DQ. I really do hope what Masters said is true, and next week, it is over

Jeff Hardy, when's he gonna be back?

Jericho is assaulted by the Spirit Squad in an interesting turn of events, I thought Jericho may be leaving for a bit, but instead, now gets a 5 on 1 feud, no doubt he'll get help, but from who?

Shelton beats his "Test" ha. Haas comes in and makes the save for partner Shelton, this could be an interesing feud, just as long as you don't have Haas/Shelton split like everyone else and feud

Sweetly done main event and RVD gets the win, I was surprised that Austin & HBK didn't show up for some revenge on HHH/Kane, but from the aftermath, we could be seeing the start of a WWE vs ECW feud, which could be a good one

As you said, not your best show, but towards the end picked up alot of steam and thus gets a smooth 8/10

Heyman came out because he's representing ECW, it's like he's RVD's manager for now. Plus it wasn't really that big of a plug, he only mentioned it because of the ECW Rules Match.

Teams are coming in...you just have to be patient. Changes just don't happen over night, they take time.

Probably most hardest situation to understand. Jericho IS still a heel. He fired the Spirit Squad from their services and they simply retaliated from their anger. Pretty easy to understand. Not much to come out of this though, but we'll see.

Anyways, thanks for the review and I'll be trying to hit you up with a SNME review soon.

^ Ok thanks for clearing that up, I wasn't sure why the SS did Jericho in, but now it seems a bit clearer. Just a bit.

And hopefully those teams do come in soon.

Default Re: WWE Unleash the Fury

Vince opens the show, and it looks like his next target is going to be RVD and the WWE Title, which I can see getting into the hands of Vince and co soon. Looks like RVD is finally getting a big role in this thread at last. RVD cuts an okay promo, and then Heyman makes a shock appearance, and it looks like we may be seeing WWE vs. ECW happening, with the war beginning tonight. Triple threat match for the title is a great main event

3MW keep the tag titles, and I don’t see who they can feud with next, but I’m sure you’ll find someone, maybe a new tag team?

Carlito vs. Masters 2 next week will be good, and a nice way to keep this going. A solid promo, but that was all this needed to be

Mickie and Candice steal the win, but then Beth Phoenix makes an appearance and beats down Mickie, and it looks like you are taking the same route as the WWE here. Trish losing 2 nights in a row to Mickie is a bit of a surprise though

Striker cuts another promo, getting himself over for winning last night, and Test with an IC title shot tonight sounds good, even though he isn’t winning the belt

Angle puts himself over, and then issues a challenge to get back to winning ways, which is accepted by Flair. Angle gets the win in the next match, but Flair looked competitive at least, although I can see this feud having maybe 1 more match in it, maybe a submission match.

Cena wants his title shot, and in this brief promo looks to be out to get it. It appears his feud with Jericho is over for the time being

Shelton and Helms’s feud isn’t over yet, and an okay promo between them, emphasising on the rivalry that they have.

Carlito is attacked in his match with Conway by Masters, who sets up the match for next week by beating him down. Looks like the feud ender to me, with one of them off to smackdown afterwards in the open season

Jericho fires the SS, only to be beaten down by them, and from that, I can only say that there looks to be a feud happening between them for a short while. Jericho is clearly off to Smackdown I would say, as I don’t see how this program between him and the SS can last too long

Shelton gets the win over Test due to Haas, who comes out to stop Striker getting involved. Looks like the WGTT could be set for a reunion of sorts soon against Striker and Test, with Helms also wanting in on the IC title

RVD gets the win in the main event, in his biggest win ever I would say, beating HHH and Kane in the same match for the title. Vince though says that this isn’t over, so I guess his pursuit of the title continues

Sorry for being so far behind KOP. I want to review all the weekly shows I need to first, then concentrate on Backlash. I'd rather not read Raw yet either, as it'd spoil the PPV.

But, I'll do the Backlash and Raw reviews back to back, so it'll be a double review when it comes.

ddmrko reviews KOPV1's Backlash

I haven't read any of your shows in a while so forgive me if I'm not up to date on recent happenings.

Nice opening video package to highlight the main feuds hading into the PPV. A little short but I’m assuming its that way by design.

Striker and Haas open up the show. Not exactly two exiting stars starting off the night but we’ll see how the match pans out. I liked the way Haas’s wrestling ability is just too much for Striker to handle. Nice finish with Test’s distraction costing Haas the matchup. Not the victor I expected, I must say, but it seems this feud will continue. **¾ /5

Wasn’t a big fan of this match up but every match up cant be a main event, can it? Eugene, Snitsky and Goldust keep some credibility but I felt 3 Minute Warning should have went over a little more quicker than they did. Decent lower card match to get the Tag Champions on the show. **/5

Vince McMahon is obsessed with Michaels and Austin. I’m not caught up with recent storylines but apparently Shane’s job is on the line. Should make for an interesting dynamic in that huge tag match.

Trish and Ashley dominate the few opening minutes of this handicap match. Not surprising considering the fact that they are the faces. Nice exchange between Mickie and Trish, displaying their evenness as far as skill is concerned. The booking of this match has been perfect so far as Mickie pretty much dominates Ashley until she gets lucky. Damn, I think you should have had Ashley take the pin but it was still a good match. Match of the night up until this point IMO. ***/5

Decent enough promo from Carlito. I’m not sure how Carlito can break The Masterlock if Masters won’t even get it on. A little mistake there but overall the promo was pretty good.

Same exact match up from this year’s Backlash but lets see what you do with it. Carlito dominates the early going with a great array of offensive moves. Loved the moonsault to the outside but I’ve never seen Carlito use it before. Conventional booking with Masters taking over in the middle part of the match with only short comebacks by Carlito. Great closing minutes with lots of false finishes. Carlito wins with the backcracker. A little unspectacular for a finish but it was a great match nevertheless. ***½ /5

Helms and Benjamin have a great match. Written nearly to perfection. Great variation of moves. I don’t remember ever reading someone giving the X-plex though I have seen it. Sick. My only points of contention would have to be the circumstances surrounding the finish of the match. The Vertebreaker not putting Benjamin away is a little out there but he didn’t kick out which would have really been unfeasible. After Benjamin kicked out of Helms Shining Wizard I felt that Helms should have done the same. Anyway, you made Benjamin look super strong here, winning the hard fought match up. Great match. ****/5

Ah crap. Here comes a Cena promo. Lets see if you make him more enjoyable than he is in reality. I think I hate your John Cena more than real life. He was perfectly in his late 2004 character, talking about his Chain Gang and things like that. Good promo I guess. Damn, he beat Jericho SIX times. I hope Jericho picks up the win here tonight. My hate for Cena probably blinds me to how good this promo actually is.

Why does every face shake hands with the fans? Just something I noticed. Good bralw between the two heated rivals. The closing was a little off. I’m not entirely sure but it seemed that Cena recovered way too fast for that finishing sequence. He ducked the chair, hit a DDT, kicked the ladder, delivered an FU and climbed out of the cage, all after the Spirit Squad got involved. Cena picks up the win and this feud looks to be over. You made Cena look like Superman but that’s nothing new. ***¼/ 5

Very interesting segment with Jericho and the SS. Its very intriguing to see where Y2J will go from here. With “open season” starting, I could see Jericho jumping to SD! to get away from the SS and Cena.

Nice way to establish the odds against HBK and SCSA by having Vince check Michaels while ignoring HHH. This was a very one sided match. I kept waiting for the big comeback by Austin and Michaels but it never came. Triple H and Kane pick up the victory when Hunter pins Austin. Good match but a little one-sided. ***/5

This is the match up I wanted to get to. Angle. Van Dam. WWE Title. Wow, that was pretty short for a main event title match but it had some good stuff in there. Fast paced match-up with two very different styles going at it. RVD hit’s all of his basic spots and so does Angle. Angle throws Van Dam around like a rag doll with a great array of suplexes. Just like Cena & Benjamin earlier, Van Dam comes out of the match looking like a million bucks. Van Dam survives the Angle Slam and the Ankle Lock and finally puts Kurt Angle away with the Five Star Frog Splash. Good match but a little anti-climatic for a Main Event Title match. ***½ /5

Overall: Great PPV. I hope my review helped as I tried to point out certain improvements. Great effort. 87/100

I should have a review for RAW up soon enough.

WWE.com Raw News

That's right, ECW One Night Stand II will be on Sunday June 11, 2006 whenever ECW invades their former stomping grounds, the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. After last year's major success of ECW One Night Stand, WWE has decided to return back to the Hammerstein Ballroom with a even bigger card this year! So many huge matches set to take place and the former ECW faces you love and know will be there! So be prepared because on June 11, ECW's returning and it's taking it to the extreme at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

WWE.com reports that next Monday on Raw, Rob Van Dam will be taking on Kane one on one. Mr. McMahon has vowed now that the WWE Championship is coming home with either Kane or Triple H and that if Kane wins, there will be a WWE Title match in his future. McMahon was embarassed this past Monday on Raw whenever Van Dam defeated both Triple H and Kane in an ECW Rules Match to retain the WWE Championship.

Another match made for this upcoming Raw is a huge tag team match. The reunion of Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas will take place as they team together this coming Monday to take on Gregory Helms and Matt Striker. Test will be in the corner of Striker and Helms, so could he make a difference during the matchup.

And finally, Carlito and Chris Masters end their feud this coming Monday as Masters has vowed to make Carlito pass out to the Masterlock. Carlito got the best of Masters at Backlash but the question is can he do the same come this Monday on Raw? Tune into see who ends up winning this key matchup on Raw.

3 Minute Warning will have the next two weeks off as they look to come back fresh before they return. 3MW, the current Tag Team Champions, have ran over Kane and Big Show, Eugene and Goldust, and Val Venis and Viscera in their tag title reigns since February 20. What will happen while the tag team champions are gone?

Shawn Michaels will make his return this coming week on Raw but Vince McMahon has barred Michaels from the arena. So Michaels has told us he will be at Raw but won't be in the arena. On the other hand, Stone Cold Steve Austin has requested time off for the next few months from the company and has been granted that. It seems as if Michaels won't be feuding directly with the McMahon's, HHH, and Kane again but possibly someone else.

Some superstars will be feudless for the next few weeks but will have a feud coming up soon. With Open Season, it's been apparent things will be slow on Raw since superstars can't come over yet from Smackdown. That's why some people are being taken off Raw for now and many young superstars are being given their chance to shine now.

WWE.com Smackdown News

Heavy build towards the Six Pack Challenge Elimination Match will begin this Friday on Smackdown. Two huge singles matches have already been announced in Christian taking on his current rival, Randy Orton for the first time one on one while JBL hooks it up with Chris Benoit. The World-Heavyweight Champion, Edge will also be on Smackdown plus could we find out the mystery superstar?

Batista and Rey Mysterio has been announced for Judgment Day as of last week and this has been a good feud so far many writers feel. Batista and Mysterio have been feuding since April 14 whenever Batista cost Mysterio the United States title. What can we expect to come next out of this heated feud between each other?

Ken Kennedy has told us he will be telling the answer as to why he attacked Bobby Lashley over a month ago. Kennedy has been forced by Smackdown GM, Theodore Long to go ahead and come out with the answer or he'll get Lashley this week on Smackdown. Could we finally find out if this is a huge reason or if Kennedy was bluffing us?

WWE management has been high recently on Sylvan. Since they debuted his character back at the beginning of April, it seems to be working well gaining the heat from the fans. The fans certainly can't stand the guy and that's why as of recent he's been on Smackdown gaining wins in matches, how long this push last is unknown.

More feuds are set to pick up now as we start rolling into Judgment Day as it's three weeks away. London and Kendrick are currently feuding with the number one contender's UKliq, and Booker T seems to be heading towards a program with Matt Hardy since Hardy beat Booker last week, like mentioned more feuds are about to begin if they haven't already.

Comments: Ok, promised a news page so here it is. Hope this clears a few things concerning Open Season, Raw, Judgment Day, and others. Anyways, going to be reviewing shows I need to review soon since they paid me back with Raw reviews. Pretty much right now only ddmrko and Apple Spitter! when I can get around to them. Every other review I recieved I believe came because of I reviewed your shows but I'll still review the next show you have so don't worry.

Nice news there, KOP.

Open Season should be exciting and already, you are building toward Judgement Day well. I can't wait to see what you do with ONS coming in June! Who's left for 3MW to face, though? Haas & Benjamin?
