Re: WWE Unleash the Fury
Sorry that I havent been able to drop a reply for the shows leading up to the big one, but I'm leaving a big fat round of predictions...
Kurt Angle (c) vs Rob Van Dam
I'd be surprised if the heel left Wrestle Mania with the championship still in tact. RVD has been on a major roll upon his return, and I expect it to be capped off with a glorious WM moment.
Edge (c) vs Christian
Edge hasnt done much as champion, and although I think there will be a strong chance of him retaining, I'm going for Christian to give the fans two feel good stories. Captain Charisma has been pushed ultra strong in recent weeks, and I think it'll come to a head by winning the belt at WM.
Shawn Michaels vs Triple H
This one appears set up for a face win, which would allow this feud to be put to rest forever. I'm expecting many run ins, with Steve Austin making an appearance. His alliance in this one will be the deciding factor, but I dont see the heel turn ... although I'd never rule it out.
Batista vs The Undertaker
He never loses at WM.
Inter-Promotional Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Chris Masters vs Shelton Benjamin vs Carlito
Vs JBL vs Matt Hardy vs Ken Kennedy
The role of Mr.MITB would likely suit the self made Millionaire over all the others, and the MITB briefcase would suit a heel more than a face. Still a hard one to predict.
The Rock vs Randy Orton
He kills legends. Enough said.
John Cena vs Chris Jericho
This feud has progressed enough for the feel good face win to end it come Wrestle Mania. Orton and JBL winning are two big heel wins already, so why not shift the balance back to the faces.
United States Championship Triple Threat Match
Rey Mysterio (c) vs Booker T vs Chris Benoit
Hardest match to predict probably, with all three being booked strongly. I'll just pick my favourite, but it's certainly a toss up.
WWE Tag Team Championships
2 Out of 3 Falls Match
MNM (c's) vs Brian Kendrick and Paul London
The chase has went on long enough, it's time for a new team to hold the belts.
Jamie Noble (c) vs Kid Kash
Noble continues to stabilise the CW Division, gaining an important win here, with the feud carrying on after the event.
Trish Stratus (c) vs Mickie James
Just like the WWE Tag Title Match, it appears to be time for a new champion in this division.
World Tag Team Championships
3MW (c's) vs Kane and The Big Show
One of Kane or Big Show turns heel on the other, allowing 3MW to retain the belts in the DUD of the card.
Pre-WrestleMania Sunday Night Heat Battle Royal
Winners Gets Intercontinental/US Title Shot After WrestleMania
Matt Striker, Test, Eugene, Gene Snitsky, Goldust, Gregory Helms, Ric Flair, Chavo Guerrero, Lance Cade, and Trevor Murdoch
Finlay, William Regal, Paul Burchill, Juventud, Psicosis, Super Crazy, Bobby Lashley, Orlando Jordan, Mike Mizanin, and Simon Dean
Just goin for my favourite there, but Ric Flair is the likely winner imo, the rest couldnt even tie his laces...
Overall, an extremely strong line up, worthy of Wrestle Mania imo. One weak link in 13 matches is pretty hard to top. Plenty of unpredictable matches, and I'm anxious to see how it turns out.
