Like Reney, I'm not entirely sure how I like Matt Hardy as Champion, although I absolutely love the way you did it. No one really expected Hardy to go heel and win the Belt, probably; more of a call it out weeks ahead of time like RVD did IRL. Speaking of him, defintely glad to see him getting some love as Champ, and I like what you've been doing with Brock Lesnar. Keeping him bad ass, but down at the US Title level. I have to echo the statements of whoever said that the rosters seem a little stacked; hopefully some of the big-name guys go bye-byes eventually. Nevertheless, I am loving what you're doing with the recaps, and am looking forward to when this makes its full comeback.
Just wait to see what Scotty 2 Hotty does at the Royal Rumble then

Some of the big names will be leaving, but not until after Wrestlemania - the WWE wouldn't let them go before the biggest show of them all

New Years Revolution 2007

Kurt Angle def. Rey Mysterio in the Last Man Standing match after hitting him with an Angle Slam from the top of a ladder to a ringside announce table, leaving Rey unable to get up, with Angle making it up on 9. The match had earlier seen Angle focus his attacks on the ankle of Rey, trying to break his ankle so that he was unable to stand up and so that would give Angle the win. He hit the ankle of Rey several times with steel steps, but Rey was able to make it to his feet, but was standing gingerly. The match had also seen Rey hit a 619 to Angle around the staging, and then Rey dropping the dime to Angle from the staging (which he climbed up), Angle hitting a belly to belly suplex from the top rope onto a set of steel chairs, and Angle catch Rey in mid-air and powerbomb him into a ladder.

MNM def. Charlie Haas and Val Venis to retain the WWE Tag Team Titles when Johnny Nitro pinned Val Venis after the Snapsnot. Val had just missed an attempt at the Money Shot, caused by Melina pulling Nitro out of the way. Mercury then entered the ring leading to the Snapsnot to Val which got the win, as Melina stopped Haas getting into the ring by kissing him on the lips.

Gregory Helms def. Tyson Tomko when he nailed him with the top rope ddt. Tomko had missed the Big Boot, leading to Helms tripping Tomko up and hitting a shining wizard to him. Helms then climbed to the top rope before leaping off and hitting the ddt to him to get the win.

John Cena def. Umaga after hitting him with the FU after ducking a Samoan Spike. Cena was on the defensive having just been caught with a huge Samoan Drop by Umaga, but managed to duck the Samoan Spike attempt, leading to him hitting the FU for the win. Umaga had earlier ‘kicked out’ of the FU when Estrada put his foot on the rope, and Umaga had also got to the ropes after a STFU attempt. Umaga had connected with the Samoan Spike as well, but Cena got his foot on the ropes. Cena had also hit the FU to Estrada after he tried to get into the match

Mickie James def. Melina to retain the Womens Title when she hit her with the Powerbomb, despite the best efforts of MNM to ensure that Melina left with the title. Nitro and Mercury had both come down to ringside during the match to help Melina, but were unable to do so after Haas and Venis came down and chased them off. This distraction led to Melina trying to use the title belt, but Mickie ducked the attempt and then hit the Powerbomb to win the match.

Eric Bischoff came to the ring and announced that he would be challenging Mr. McMahon to a wrestling match. He said that he was sick and tired of Vince playing games with him, embarrassing him and toying with him, and he said he wanted to end it like real men do. He told Vince that he was challenging him to a 1 on 1 wrestling match to happen at the grandest stage of them all, Wrestlemania. He told Vince that although he said no the last time he made the challenge; he doesn’t expect that to happen this time. He said he was giving Vince plenty of time to think about it and then tells Vince he will see him at Wrestlemania.

Triple H def. Matt Hardy, Christian, JBL, CM Punk and Chris Jericho in the Elimination Chamber to become the new WWE Champion when he pinned Matt Hardy after hitting the Pedigree to him. The match began in strange circumstances as Shawn Michaels was taken out of the match by John Cena, who attacked HBK as he made his down to the ring to be the referee in order to get revenge on him for screwing him out of his chance to be in this match. Cena and HBK brawled backstage, leading to the match having a regular referee in charge, and so HHH was less likely to win the match. HHH had already drawn number 1, and he was joined at the start by Christian (an advantage in this match, as it had become a 1 fall match), but neither man could score the pinfall. Matt Hardy entered at 3, CM Punk at 4, Chris Jericho at 5, and JBL at 6, but no-one could get the win by the time that JBL had entered the match. The match saw some big spots such as Hardy hitting a twist of fate to Punk off the chamber, HHH throwing JBL through one of the glass chambers, and Jericho using the cage to hit a Lionsault. In the end, HHH scored the win when he caught Hardy with a Pedigree from nowhere which was enough to get the win as he crawled on top of him, just as Shawn Michaels re-entered the chamber to count the pinfall. JBL was taken out after being in the Walls of Jericho. Punk had been hit with an Unprettier off the top rope. Christian had been hit with the Pedigree, followed by a Lionsault from Jericho. Jericho though was then hit with the Twist of Fate from Hardy. Hardy went for the pin, but HBK superkicked him, leading to HHH hitting the Pedigree to win the match. The PPV ended with HHH and HBK celebrated bringing the title to DX, with HHH holding the belt high.

Kurt Angle def. Rey Mysterio in the Last Man Standing Match at 27:29
MNM def. Charlie Haas and Val Venis to retain the WWE Tag Team Titles at 8:21
Gregory Helms def. Tyson Tomko at 7:29
John Cena def. Umaga at 21:38
Mickie James def. Melina to retain the Womens Title at 10:00
Triple H def. JBL, CM Punk, Chris Jericho, Matt Hardy and Christian to become the new WWE Champion in the Elimination Chamber at 44:31

Lead up to the Royal Rumble

On Raw, Triple H was now the WWE Champion for the 11th time, but would not be defending his title against Matt Hardy at the Royal Rumble. Hardy decided that he didn’t want to use his rematch clause straight away, saying that he wanted to enter the Royal Rumble to give him 2 chances at getting back in the main event. He said that if by some fluke he didn’t win the Royal Rumble, then he would use his rematch clause afterwards to take back the WWE Title.

Matt Hardy though would be competing at the Royal Rumble as he told Shawn Michaels that he wanted a piece of him for his role in Hardy losing the title. He challenged HBK to a match, saying that it would only be fitting for him to beat both members of DX. HBK accepted the challenge, setting up a match for them at the Rumble.

Triple H’s challenger would be someone that he has faced before. In an attempt to warm-up the Raw roster for the Royal Rumble match, a battle royal was announced to determine the number 1 contender, leading to Christian winning the match, last eliminating Chris Jericho. Triple H would therefore face Christian for the title, and as through the majority of last year, Christian got the advantage over Triple H, pinning him in a tag team match.

For the rumble match itself, 14 spots on Raw were confirmed beforehand, with 1 left open for a mystery entrant to be announced at the Royal Rumble. As a result of being in the Elimination Chamber match, Chris Jericho, CM Punk, JBL and Matt Hardy were placed into the match. Shawn Michaels declared he was in the match, and that was enough for him. Qualifying match saw John Cena, Rey Mysterio, Kurt Angle, Gregory Helms, Umaga, MNM and Charlie Haas/Val Venis qualify for the match. These 14 men were put in a 7 vs. 7 match which descended into a mass brawl, which ended with John Cena standing tall in the ring

Smackdown had 13 confirmed entrants, those being, Batista, Mr. Kennedy, Carlito, Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles, The Rock, Randy Orton, Kane, Scotty 2 Hotty, Brock Lesnar, Paul London, Brian Kendrick and Chavo Guerrero.

With the title match already known, Rob Van Dam and Edge set about destroying each other, with RVD laughing at the fact Edge is his contender, telling him that he is just a tag team wrestler, leading to Edge telling RVD that he is just an extreme wrestler. Edge continued his hot streak when he pinned RVD on the first show of 2007, but RVD got his pay back when he hit Edge with a 1 man concerto to him, giving Edge a concussion going into the title match

Brock Lesnar continued to call out the Undertaker, bragging about how he cost Taker the title on Raw and led to him being beaten up so badly that he won’t be able to come back from this injury and that he is on the verge of permanent retirement.

Also booked for the Rumble was Mickie James vs. Melina for the womens title, and Kid Kash defending the Cruiserweight title against Billy Kidman

If people didn't like Matt Hardy as champion, how are you going to react to Triple H being given the belt...

Royal Rumble and onwards will be posted at the weekend... I truly believe that the RR match is absolutely brilliant, tbh, and is booked how a RR match should be... hopefully everyone else will agree

Been reading through all the PPV recaps and have been enjoying them a lot. As SZUM and Renegade said I wasn’t so sure on Matt becoming champion, but that’s probably just because I am accustomed to him being never further than the US Title Division IRL. However you looked to do a pretty good job with him as Champ, and was the smart thing to give the belt to Triple H as I don’t think Matt would be Wrestlemania main event worthy. The Smackdown side of things are also looking good. RVD’s reign as Champ has been good, and am liking the pushes you have been giving to Brock Lesnar and Edge. Look forward to the Royal Rumble, sounds like thematch itself is going to be brilliant and looking at your reply to Szum I think you mean it like that because Scotty 2 Hotty’s going to win the Rumble

Of course Scotty's going to win the Rumble... after all, that was the original plan that you had...

Hardy was never going to go into Wrestlemania with the belt, so I booked the Elimination Chamber match as a way of getting the belt from 1 heel to another heel easily. I think he had a solid reign with the belt and can now go back to being in the upper mid card/main event level

Forever, in reponse to your post in the Awards, there is no way an Exeter fan can win awards. Your luck has run its course! AFCB for lyfe!

Nah, I am loving the way you are coming back to the thread. Recapping events for months on end is a good way to get back into the groove without burning yourself out in the meantime. I can't wait for you to start booking shows and writing them out weekly, in recap of course. btw, plz push Mickie to the hill.

See ya in league 2 next year...

Once I get to Wrestlemania I'm going to get back into the swing of writing weekly shows, so hopefully the shows will still be as good as they were beforehand.

OMFG! Triple H as champion! PUT THE BELT BACK ON HARDY! WHAT A JOKE!!!11!!1!

lolz, I kid.

Solid stuff, good to see a big name as the champ again heading into the Mania PPV, the Rumble match has so many potential winners, I wonder who's gonna hit the big time. Sadly, I'm gonna guess John Cena

Bischoff/McMahon better not happen, that would be painful...

I can't wait till your writing shows out again, I miss 'em tbh.

A slight change of plan for this next post. This post will contain the Royal Rumble PPV, the build up to No Way Out, and then No Way Out.

Then, for every day afterwards I will announce one match for Wrestlemania and then a preview for that match, explaining how the match came to be and the details of the feud.

So... here we go.

Royal Rumble 2007

Shawn Michaels def. Matt Hardy when he hit him with the Sweet Chin Music out of nowhere to score the win. Hardy had been preparing to hit the twist of fate to HBK when he sprung up and superkicked him in the face. Earlier we had seen HBK hit the elbow drop, and Hardy hit the leg drop, but on both occasions the other man had kicked out. Hardy and HBK had both gone for their finishing moves, but had been countered on each occasion. They had also spread their action to outside of the ring with Hardy hitting the side effect to HBK off the apron to the floor.

Kid Kash def. Billy Kidman to retain the Cruiserweight Title when he hit him with the brainbuster. Kidman had managed to get in some good offence, but Kash dominated the larger part of the match, hitting Kidman with the backbreaker, before setting him up for the brainbuster. Kash continued his run of title defences and his reign to 5 months.

Mickie James def. Melina to retain the Womens Title when she hit her with the top rope Powerbomb. Melina had been caught on the top rope when Mickie came over to her and hit her with a powerbomb. MNM had been banned from interfering in this match in order to make it fair, but that didn’t seem to make a difference in the end.

Triple H def. Christian to retain the WWE Title when he hit him with 2 successive Pedigrees to secure the clean win and to retain the title. Christian had managed to kick out of a Pedigree earlier in the match, only for HHH to return the favour when he kicked out of the Unprettier. HHH had brought the title belt into ring and had managed to hit Christian with it, only for Tyson Tomko to pull the referee out of the ring to even things up. HHH had hit Tomko with a Pedigree, and Christian then hit a reverse ddt to him, only for HHH to get a foot on the ropes. Christian then went to the top rope, but HHH caught him with a kick when he jumped off, leading to him hitting him with 2 Pedigrees and walking away with the title.

Edge def. Rob Van Dam to become the new World Heavyweight Champion when he hit RVD with a spear. Edge had hit RVD with the Edgecution, but instead of going for the cover he went to the top rope and waited for RVD to get up before hitting him with the diving spear. The match had earlier seen Edge take Paul Heyman out of the equation by spearing him into the barricade, only for RVD to leap off the top rope and kick Edge into the barricade. The match had seen near falls such as a Spear from Edge to end RVD’s offence, only for RVD to kick out after a delay. Edge had also locked in the Edgeucator on RVD, only for RVD to get to the ropes. Edge went for the Spear, but RVD countered with a ddt, and then hit the Rolling Thunder to him and then the 5 star frog splash to him, only for Edge to kick out. RVD went for the title belt to get DQed, only for Edge to hit him with the Edgecution, and then the spear to win the title.

John Cena won the Royal Rumble match, defeating 29 other men to win the match and go on to main event Wrestlemania 23.
Rey Mysterio and CM Punk drew numbers 1 and 2, leading to a high flying first couple of minutes, before Jeff Hardy came out at number 3 to carry on the high flying action. He was standing tall when Matt Hardy came out at number 4 to lead to the Hardyz being in the ring for the first time since Jeff returned, and the two of them brawled for the 2 minutes. Joey Mercury came in at number 5, and soon was the first man out of the match, the Hardyz teaming up for a while to throw him over the top rope, before going back to fight with each other. At number 6 we saw the Raw mystery entrant come into the match – DOINK THE CLOWN!. Paul London was next into the match, while at number 8 was Umaga, who came in and dominated the ring and eliminated Doink the Clown. Val Venis came in at number 9, but fell victim to the Samoan Spike, and then was thrown over the top rope by Umaga. Umaga then kept all the other men down, only for Kane to enter at number 10. Kane and Umaga brawl with each other while the rest of the stars in the match manage to get back to their feet. Chris Jericho came in at number 11, JBL at 12 and Brian Kendrick at 13 while the ring began to fill up with stars. Gregory Helms came in at 14, while CM Punk’s run in the match ended when Chris Jericho dropkicked him over the top rope, and Brian Kendrick was thrown over the top by Kane. John Cena entered at number 15 and he started by going after everyone in the match. Umaga tried to fight back against him, only for Cena to lift Umaga up and throw him over the top rope to eliminate the Samoan Bulldozer. AJ Styles and Charlie Haas were the next 2 men into the match, while Rey Mysterio eliminated Paul London. Jeff Hardy was the next man out when Matt Hardy clotheslined him over the top rope, showing that for the moment Matt is the top Hardy. The Rock entered at 18, and then Kurt Angle at 19 as some big stars came into the match, while Charlie Haas was eliminated by John Cena. Number 20 was Chavo Guerrero, while JBL’s rumble dreams were over when the Rock threw him over the top rope, and Rey Mysterio took Gregory Helms out of the match. Number 21 was Randy Orton who cockily entered the ring, while Kane eliminated Chavo Guerrero. Number 22 was the second mystery guest of the match – MICK FOLEY – and he entered the ring and went straight for Randy Orton, only for Orton to RKO him after a small flurry of offence. Orton went to throw Foley over the top rope, but Foley fought back and knocked Orton over the top with a right hand. Orton was incensed and went back into the match to eliminate Foley as it looked as if their rivalry was at full steam again. The crowd was shocked again when ROB VAN DAM, the former World Heavyweight Champion entered next, and then Johnny Nitro came in at number 24. AJ Styles’s match came to an end at this point when Kurt Angle suplexed him over the top rope, but he was soon gone when Chris Jericho came from behind him to tip him over the top. Brock Lesnar then came in at number 25 and immediately eliminated Johnny Nitro and then Kane. The Rock started to go with Lesnar, only for Lesnar to shock him and throw him over the top. Lesnar had taken down the whole ring when THE GONG HIT AND THE ARENA WENT INTO THE DARKNESS. Lesnar was shocked, as John Cena came and threw him over the top rope. Shawn Michaels then came in at 26, followed by Batista at 27 and Carlito at 28. At 29 was Scotty 2 Hotty, giving everyone hope of the most surprising Royal Rumble winner of all time if he could go on to win the match, and then Mr. Kennedy entered at number 30 as we go down to the final 10 – Mr. Kennedy, Scotty 2 Hotty, Carlito, Batista, Shawn Michaels, Rob Van Dam, John Cena, Chris Jericho, Matt Hardy and Rey Mysterio (who had entered the ring at number 1). The first man out was Carlito when Matt Hardy threw him over the top rope, and then Rob Van Dam was eliminated by Chris Jericho leaving us with 8. Rey Mysterio’s mammoth run ended when Mr. Kennedy eliminated him, as did Matt Hardy’s huge run when Shawn Michaels superkicked him over the top rope. Scotty 2 Hotty finished the Rumble in 6th place when Batista threw him over the top rope, and then Mr. Kennedy was out of the match when Batista and John Cena hit him with a double clothesline. Batista was then eliminated straight away when Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels came from behind and tipped him over the top rope, while John Cena hung on as they did it to him as well. Down to 3 with John Cena, Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels left in the match, only for Shawn Michaels to be the next to go when John Cena won a battle of suplexs to suplex him over the top rope. John Cena was left on the apron when Chris Jericho went to hit the Springboard Dropkick to him to eliminate him... BUT CENA DUCKED AS JERICHO CRASHED TO THE FLOOR..... BUT HE LANDED ON 1 LEG! Jericho managed to roll back into the ring after hopping around the ring to avoid Cena who was chasing him. Back in the ring, Cena and Jericho battled for a few minutes as we saw Cena lock in the STFU on Jericho and Jericho lock in the Walls of Jericho to Cena. In the end Jericho missed an attempt at the Lionsault, leading to Cena lifting Jericho for the FU. He goes to FU him over the top rope, but Jericho hangs onto the top rope. Cena goes to clothesline Jericho over the top, but Jericho pulls down the top rope so Cena goes over it, but hangs on to the bottom rope. Jericho tries to kick Cena down, but Cena fights back to his feet, hits a right hand to Jericho and then hangs him on the ropes, leading to Jericho falling to the floor, this time landing on his back and so is eliminated.

• Mick Foley booked a road to Wrestlemania tournament to determine the number 1 contender – 8 men would compete, the 4 winners would meet in a fatal 4 way at No Way Out
• Batista def. Mr. Kennedy, The Rock def. Kane, Randy Orton def. Jeff Hardy and Christian def. Brock Lesnar
• The Undertaker returned during that Christian/Lesnar match by distracting Lesnar with the gong – Taker and Lesnar were booked to meet at No Way Out
• The Foley/Orton feud carried on as well with Orton telling Foley that he will pay for eliminating him from the Rumble. Foley told Orton he had a contract for a match between them ready to be signed by Orton, but Orton said he was concentrating on becoming World champion at Wrestlemania
• Carlito became the number 1 contender to the US title
• Frankie Karzarian returned after being out for a few months to challenge Kid Kash for the Cruiserweight Title

No Way Out Card

World Heavyweight Title
Edge (C) vs. Rob Van Dam

United States Title
Jeff Hardy (C) vs. Carlito

World Tag Team Titles
Londrick (C) vs. XXX vs. Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch vs. Tajiri and Scotty 2 Hotty

Cruiserweight Title
Kid Kash (C) vs. Frankie Karzarian

Number 1 Contenders Match
Christian vs. Randy Orton vs. Batista vs. The Rock

Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker

Mr. Kennedy vs. Kane

No Way Out 2007

Londrick def. XXX, Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch and Tajiri/Scotty 2 Hotty to retain the World Tag Team Titles when London hit a shooting star press to Tajiri after Kendrick had hit him with the Sliced Bread #2. Kendrick then leapt over the top rope to take out XXX, Cade and Murdoch and Scotty 2 Hotty who were on the outside, allowing London to hit the finisher off the top rope

Kid Kash def. Frankie Karzarian to retain the Cruiserweight Title when he hit him with the brainbuster, after hitting him with the backbreaker. Karzarian had almost managed to win back the title after hitting the wave of the future, but Kash managed to kick out on 2 as he added yet another man to the list of people he had beaten as champion

Mr. Kennedy def. Kane when he hit him with the mic check after escaping from Kane’s attempt to chokeslam him. Kennedy had earlier tried for the Green Bay Plunge, but Kane wouldn’t be budged from the top rope. Kane had hit a chokeslam to Kennedy, but Kennedy had got a foot on the rope from it

Carlito def. Jeff Hardy to become the new US champion when he hit the backcracker to Hardy while he attempted a Whisper in the Wind. Hardy had gone for the move only for Carlito to see it coming and get in position to hit his finisher to Hardy, which gave Carlito his 4th run as US Champion.

Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker ended in a no contest after the two of them brawled around the arena. In truth, the match never really began as Lesnar attacked Taker while he was making his entrance to the ring and then straight away threw him into the stage. The two of them took their brawl backstage which included Taker chokeslamming Lesnar through a table, Lesnar hitting Taker with a lead pipe and finally, Lesnar hitting Taker with an F-5 off the stage

Christian def. Batista, The Rock and Randy Orton to become the number 1 contender to the World Heavyweight Title when he hit the Unprettier to Batista. Randy Orton had looked on the verge of winning after hitting the other 3 contenders with RKOs, but at the time there was no referee. Mick Foley came down to make the count, only for Christian to kick out. Orton then attacked Foley hitting the RKO to him, but couldn’t get the win. The Rock looked as if he could get the win after hitting Christian with the Rock Bottom and then he went for the People’s Elbow, only to be RKOed by Orton. Orton covered, but Foley attacked Orton and started to beat the hell out of him. Foley and Orton brawled backstage after this. Batista then hit the Rock with the Batista Bomb, but Christian broke up the count. Batista hit Christian with the spine buster, but the Rock broke the count. The Rock and Batista then brawled, leading to the Rock hitting the Rock Bottom to Batista. Christian then hit the Unprettier to the Rock, and then to Batista to get the win and go onto to challenge for the title at Wrestlemania again

Edge def. Rob Van Dam to retain the World Heavyweight Title when he hit him with the Spear out of nowhere. RVD had brought in the title belt to hit him with it, only for Edge to spear him straight away and then cover him to get the win. Earlier the match had seen RVD suplex Edge through the announce table, but he hadn’t manage to capitalise on that to score a pinfall. RVD had also hit a 5 star frog splash, but Edge had kicked out of it. Edge had earlier hit the Edgecution and a spear, but on both occasions RVD had kicked out. The PPV ended with Christian going out to the ring to shake hands with Edge, the man he would face at Wrestlemania for the World Title

Londrick def. Tajiri/Scotty 2 Hotty, XXX and Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch to retain the World Tag Team Titles at 15:39
Kid Kash def. Frankie Karzarian to retain the Cruiserweight Title at 8:10
Mr. Kennedy def. Kane at 11:20
Carlito def. Jeff Hardy to become the new US Champion at 19:01
Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker never officially began
Christian def. The Rock, Batista and Randy Orton to become the number 1 contender at 24:36
Edge def. Rob Van Dam to retain the World Heavyweight Title at 18:55

The first match will be announced either tomorrow or Tuesday, depending on whether I get the time to type up the previews or not.

Hello there old buddy. You really weren’t around during my last stint, which was lousy. But, here we meet again. So, I see you're ready to start dropping Mania bombs on us. I am looking forward to seeing the card. I was on a BTB break when you and Kane01 posted your last Mania, so I am really geared to review this one.

Looking like Christian vs. Edge for the World Title, and Cena vs. Triple H for the WWE Title. Both matches are solid, and the build for E vs. C, at Mania, for the World Title, has mouthwatering possibilities. Cena-HHH is an interesting choice, and maybe you could’ve been more creative, but it should work out positively regardless. And that's me assuming those matches are set in stone.

My only hope is that you don’t make the same mistake as you did last time. Which IMO is a BIG mistake. Please, don’t have 14-16 matches on the card. You and Kid-o-Mac both did that, and it truly puts a taint on the “realism” tbh. This isn’t the eighties, and wrestling cards just don’t have room for that many matches anymore. Mania should have a minimum of 8, max of 12 matches, imo. Obviously you can do what you want, but I am sure many would agree with me on that.

Anyway, I am truly eager to see what you come up with, and I am fully confident it will be highly entertaining. Congrats on your BTB HOF spot, which I hadn’t known about. And also, thanks for those kind comments about my WrestleMania 23 PPV. Good luck sir.

Eh I'm not so sure I want to see another Edge/Christian brotherly feud for the title. Been done before in real life for a while and in some BTB's. Can't complain with Trips/Cena as that seems to be the main draw and could be good.

Rumble match seemed fine rofl @ Doink getting an appearance, I marked and why was Scotty 2 Hotty not the winner. tbh a Worm to Cena followed by an elimination on Superman = RATINGS!

Nah seriously, I'm sick to death of seeing Cena win Rumbles in BTB but really I felt you were gonna do it anyways. Sadly, I was right. Mania will no doubt have some mouth watering attractions. Keep it up FD.

There won't be 14-16 matches on the card... although at the moment I have 13 that I want to get on the card, I think one of the matches will be shunted to Sunday Night Heat to leave 12 matches on the card... and remember, Wrestlemania will be 5 hours long, so there should be enough time for all the matches

I know that the main events could have been a bit more creative, but they make sense, especially on Raw, as Cena vs. DX has been the big feud throughout the last 6 months so it makes sense to have them meet at Wrestlemania (that's presuming HHH vs. Cena is the main event of course). Edge and Christian haven;t feuded in this thread yet, so it is a fresh story for both men, especially with the history they have and the fact Edge lost the title at Mania last year and Christian won the title. It may have been done to death in other BTBs, but these are the most over guys who could put on a great match, plus this BTB hasn't seen them feud yet (and the feud won't be as conventional as you would expect from this, after all, they are currently both faces)

I would have loved to have seen how people would react if Scotty had won the Rumble match (and at some point I want to have a real fluke winner of a battle royal), but I just couldn't see him in the Wrestlemania main event (although 6th in the Rumble isn't too bad)

The Cena Rumble win was about as obvious as it could get really, seeing as he has been built up to win the title for along time (and is why he was kept away from title matches for the last few months so that he didn't look weak coming into the Rumble). It's been done before, but since the thread began Cena has been built up as a big star and was always going to main event this PPV

Don't worry... Mania will have some mouth-watering matches (and 1 that simply will be a shocking match in terms of quality)

The first match preview and announcement will be posted tomorrow (although to be honest I'm not giving a lot away with this one, seeing as it has already been effectively announced)
