Re: WWE: Afterlife

Raw kicked off with Linda McMahon approaching the Ring. She entered the Ring and started talking about our upcoming Raw PPV, Taboo Tuesday, which is being held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Tuesday, October 19th. She promptly announced that this would be an ‘Interactive’ PPV which would change the face of Raw forever. This meaning that every single Raw fan would be able to vote for whatever match he wanted to see on the PPV. She then addressed the issue of a World Title match and stated that only select Participants will be entered into the draw, the winner of which would get a 1-on-1 title shot against the World Heavyweight Champion, Goldberg. She then announced that the rest of the card, with exception of the Intercontinental Title match would be announced in exactly the same way. This prompted Mr. McMahon to make his way out from the back to address his wife. He starts by interrupting Linda and shouting, ‘Linda, who the hell do you think you are.’ Linda fights back by saying, ‘Vince, I don’t play the CEO…I AM THE CEO. And whatever I decide to do for the PPV’s which I attract viewers to, I will do’. Vince decides there is no way about this as the Board Of Directors would not intervene, thus leaving us with the statement that ALL BUT ONE of the Taboo Tuesday matches will be decided by the viewing public.

J.R and King welcome us to a raucous night from the Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri, billing the Ladder Match, Main Event as well as the heavily billed match between Kane and Abyss. Kevin Nash is also announced as taking on Scott Steiner in an Unforgiven rematch. That match is announced as coming up next. We turn to a Commercial Break.

The Hardcore Title match gets underway. Many hits taken by both men, until Nash gets the win with a huge boot to Steiner’s face, followed by a Jacknife onto a Trash Can. Kevin Nash picks up the win and retains his Hardcore Title.

Backstage, Triple H is talking to Eric Bischoff. Triple H reminds him of the beating he gave Chris Benoit two weeks ago, and the news that Benoit will be out for some time as a result of those injuries. Eric congratulates him on that and instantaneously offers him a proposition. If he can defeat an opponent of his choosing, Eric Bischoff will make the Main Event at Taboo Tuesday a Triple Threat match. Triple H likes the idea and walks off smiling, leaving Eric smirking at the idea. Don’t Try This At Home Commercial airs.

Mr McMahon is seen backstage with Randy Orton. McMahon tells Orton that what Linda is doing for Raw will backfire on her and she will end up doing harm for the overall product.

Lillian Garcia is in the Ring and announces the next match as being a one-on-one match with Diamond Dallas Page squaring off against Edge. Molly is by her man’s side, and surprisingly Trish comes to the Ring to stand in the corner of Edge. Molly tries a few times to distract the attention of the Referee, however she only just distracts DDP as well. Edge gets the win with a spear. Trish raises Edge’s hand on the TitanTron.

Another Hirohito promo airs.

Kane storms into Eric Bischoff’s office and declares he isn’t ready for his match against Abyss. He asks for it to be forward one week, and our benevolent GM agrees. Under one condition. Abyss face off against Kane in a Falls Count Anywhere, No Disqualification Match. Kane hesitantly agrees. Eric leaves Kane with the words…’Trust Me’. We then go off to our second commercial break of the night.

J.R and King then plug Taboo Tuesday followed by the Raw and Smackdown shows coming to Manchester! Last but no least they plug Smackdown, the Main Event, and the No Mercy PPV.

Goldberg is seen pulling up in the Parking Lot. He comes out in a suit and tie. We then head over to a Tag Team Match pitting The New Age Outlaws against La Resistance. La Resistance get the win after the Au Revoir on Billy Gunn. New Age Outlaws look on in disbelief from the Ring as the French celebrate on the Ramp. Coach then presents us info on the ‘Live And Loaded’ Tour of the U.K

Triple H’s theme then plays. He stands in the Ring in his attire waiting for his opponent to come out. A mysterious theme then plays, it’s that of J.R! Eric Bischoff has made J.R fight the Game. At first HHH thinks it’s a joke until Bischoff tells him on a microphone that it could be his only chance at the World Heavyweight Title. Immediately he goes to work on J.R, and pins him after a Pedigree. Triple H will be included in the World Title match at Taboo Tuesday. HHH continues the beat down until Goldberg’s music plays. HHH flees the ring in terror as Goldberg tends to the stricken J.R. The Coach then comes out to take the place of J.R on the Announce Table. A third commercial break airs.

The Main Event is announced, as RVD will square off against Y2J. Very fast flowing match with Ladders galore, both men just inches away each time from the Title. Until suddenly, both men are climbing on the Ladder and grab the contract. Each has half of the contract in their hand, and neither will let go. Lillian doesn’t know what to do. Linda McMahon then comes out and tells us that at Taboo Tuesday it will be Randy Orton vs. Chris Jericho vs. RVD for the Intercontinental Title, as Raw fades off the air….

Soz for the quick, Raw. I'll post more about Taboo Tuesday and the arangements soon...

Match Results

Kevin Nash defeated Scott Steiner to retain the WWE Hardcore Championship
Edge defeated Diamond Dallas Page
La Resistance defeated The New Age Outlaws
Triple H defeated Jim Ross
Chris Jericho and Rob Van Dam ended in a draw

Re: WWE: Afterlife

Great show Showstopper. Plenty of action. Style of writing was a little different, but was still good none the less.

Love the announcement of the triple threat matches for Taboo Tuesday. I expected HHH's opponent to be Eugene, so JR was a big shock.

Looking forward to seeing the action in this thread over the upcoming weeks, keep it coming.

Re: WWE: Afterlife

Summary of Smackdown 30th September 2004

The heat between the Rock and the Undertaker and Ric Flair and Kurt Angle intensified as Shane McMahon announces that the Rock and Kurt Angle would team up against the Undertaker and Ric Flair for the nights' main event. The Undertaker and Ric Flair managed to win the match, but not without help from Paul Heyman. Heyman distracted the ref and Kurt Angle so Flair could low blow Angle and get him to tap out with the Figur Four Leg Lock.

The LWO introduced their fourth member, Konnan. He teamed up Eddie Guerrero against JBL and Orlando Jordan and ended up winning the match.

TAKA Michinoku and Scotty 2 Hotty fought against each other, and Scotty managed to pick up the win, but not after many miscommunications with Rikishi which caused the two to argue all the way backstage.

Dean Malenko sent a message to A.J Styles through Funaki, but Styles sent a message right back by beating Jerry Lynn, but Malenko came out after the match and beat up Styles.

Other matches:
The Dudley Boyz defeated the Basham Bros.
Chyna defeated Madusa (non-title)

Feel free to start making predictions for No Mercy.

Re: WWE: Afterlife

WWE No Mercy
Date:
3/10/04
Venue: Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, NJ
Theme Tune: Metallica - Until It Sleeps

Preview

WWE Championship - Buried Alive Match
The Undertaker © vs. The Rock

Many weeks ago the Rock was given the chance to challenge for the WWE Title. His attempt was foiled by the actions of Paul Heyman, but nevertheless the Rock continues in a relentless pursuit for the title. His pursuit earned him another shot at the title, and the Rock decided to make this shot a special one by making it a Buried Alive match. But the Undertaker was determined to show the Rock that the Undertaker wouldn't be easy to beat, sometimes with the help of Heyman. Week after week the two would be at it. One week the Undertaker would send the Rock to hospital, the next week the Rock would send the Undertaker through the announcers' table. But who will get the final win and who will breathe their last breath of air at No Mercy?

WWE United States Championship - Lumberjack Match
John "Bradshaw" Layfield © vs. Eddie Guerrero

When Eddie Guerrero fought his way into the triple threat match for the number one contendership match for the United States title, JBL's "patriotic"views were voiced. These views were to hurt the heart of Eddie and possible many other Mexicans in the USA. JBL's comments managed to get into Eddie head, causing him to lost the triple threat match to JBL and to go on a 4 week hiatus to clear his head. But then the night JBL won the United States title, Eddie and the all the other Mexican wrestlers decided to show their feelings when they can from backstage after the match in their LWO shirts and attacked JBL. However JBL continued to insult them, leading to a lumberjack match between Eddie Guerrero and JBL, with LWO on the outside. JBL then realised he too needed a faction, and formed the American Dream, consisting of Orlando Jordan and Sean O'Haire. But then Eddie introduced a fourth member, Konnan, to give him the upper hand in the match. Will Eddie's 4 man team give him the advantage against JBL'S 3 at No Mercy?

Submisson Match
Kurt Angle vs. Ric Flair

Many weeks ago, Ric Flair offered Angle to chance to face Batista. But Angle refused, saying he'd rather face Flair himself, unless he was too old. Flair accepted and managed to win the match, with help from Batista. This created major heat between Flair and Angle. The two had many fights with each other, Flair managing to cheat his way to most of them. Finally Angle made a proposal. At No Mercy, the two fo the would go at it in a submisson match. It would be the Figure Four Leg Lock against the Ankle Lock. Flair accepted. Who will walk away the winner?

WWE Tag Team Championships
Too Cool © vs. Too Hot

For many years, Rikishi, Scotty 2 Hotty and Grandmaster Sexay were the closest of friends. That was until a riff over the tag titles caused then to separate. Rikishi and Scotty 2 Hotty stayed a team as Too Cool and held the tag titles, but Grandmaster Sexay left and formed Too Hot with TAKA Michinoku. Grandmaster Sexay then revealed that he had nothing against Scotty 2 Hotty, his beef was with Rikishi for stealing the title that was rightfully his. This lead to a one-on-one match at No Mercy for the WWE Tag Team Championships. Who will leave the Continental Airlines Arena with the tag titles around their waists?

WWE Cruiserweight Championship
A.J Styles © vs. Dean Malenko

A.J Styles was seen as the prodigy of the WWE. The potential WWE Champion. This didn't play well with Dean Malenko. The Ice Man has been with the company for a long time and hasn't had a chance to get the WWE Title and was stuck in the Cruiserweight division. But Styles suddenly joins the business and all the hype about him arises. Malenko was to teach Styles lesson. Will he do that and win the Cruiserweight title at No Mercy.

WWE Womens' World Championship
Chyna © vs. Madusa

Shane was looking to improve Smackdown and introduced a Womens' Title to the brand, along with many divas. These divas would then face each other in a battle royal for the vacant title. Madusa ended up winning the match, however, Chyna, who arrived late, came after the bell was rung and sent Madusa over the rope to win the title. Madusa wants to claim back the title she says is rightfully hers. Will she leave the arena with the title around her waist?

The Dudley Boyz vs. Harlem Heat

Booker T was shocked and appalled to hear that some wrestlers and fans and never even heard of the legendary tag team Harlem Heat. Booker T then decided to bring his brother Stevie Ray to the WWE to show the fans why they are the most successful tag team in the WWE. But the Dudley Boyz want to show Harlem Heat that they are the most successful team in the WWE. Which team will come out ontop at No Mercy?

Feel free to make predictions now.

Re: WWE: Afterlife

Whilst I don't want to take any attention off No Mercy, here is the Preview for this week's Raw.

RAW© PREVIEW

THE GAME CONTINUES…THE VOTING IS UNDERWAY
October 4th 2004

The biggest Interactive event will be staged on October 19th because Raw is giving you, the fans, the opportunity to make your own card.

You have already been voting over who you think should be the final man in the Triple Threat, World Heavyweight Title Match at Taboo Tuesday, and so far Kane and Randy Orton are neck-and-neck but remember only you guys have the power to change that. Speaking of Kane, he will finally go one-on-one with his nemesis over the past few weeks, Abyss. Raw General Manager, Eric Bischoff making this one a No Disqualification, Falls Count Anywhere match.

In other news, Randy Orton will team up with Scott Steiner to face the unlikely duo of Rob Van Dam and Chris Jericho. Can both men put ego’s aside and team together? Or will the lure of weakening the other for the Intercontinental Title match at Taboo Tuesday cross their mind?

Vince McMahon told us that Linda was ‘making a huge mistake by making Taboo Tuesday an interactive PPV’. Will the Chairman elaborate more on what he said?

Also for the first time since receiving a near career ending beating at the hands of the Game, Triple H we will be conducting an exclusive interview with Chris Benoit from his family home in Edmonton, Alberta. We also hope to have an update on the condition of J.R.

We will have this and a whole lot more as Raw rolls into the arena that beats them all, Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York.

Announced Matches

Kane vs. Abyss (No DQ, Falls Count Anywhere)
Randy Orton & Scott Steiner vs. Rob Van Dam & Chris Jericho
