After denying Roman Reigns a victory in the career-changing Money in the Bank Ladder Match, The New Face of Fear will have to answer to The Big Dog at WWE Battleground.
Though the exact motivation behind Wyatt’s actions is presently unclear, there is no doubt his opening salvo will bring into conflict two of WWE’s most dangerous Superstars.
The WWE World Heavyweight Title barely eluded Reigns’ grasp earlier this year, and with the all-important the Money in the Bank World Title Contract now out of the picture, Reigns will assuredly take out his frustration on the Superstar responsible for the crucial loss.
Despite their many dissimilarities, Reigns’ and Wyatt’s meteoric rises share significant commonalities. Both Superstars cut their teeth in NXT before taking WWE by storm as members of two of this era’s most powerful factions, The Shield and The Wyatt Family. While Wyatt was unambiguously the leader of his stable, Reigns carved out a niche as The Hounds of Justice’s Big Dog. The WWE Universe still vividly remembers the wild six-man showdowns that ensued between the trios. More recently, Reigns managed to eke out a win against Wyatt on Raw when Reigns’ spot in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match was on the line.
What will happen when Reigns and Wyatt square off one-on-one? Can Reigns’ full-force offense negate the psychological warfare of The Eater of Worlds? Or will Wyatt’s mind games and all-consuming appetite for punishing others prove too much even for Reigns?
Watch WWE Battleground to see which Superstar will assert his will, live on WWE Network on July 19.
Re: Reigns VS Wyatt - WHO IS AMPED FOR THAT FEUD??
If it is just going to be Wyatt cutting promos for 5 weeks about how he is going to reveal the lie that Roman Reigns is only to get dominated at BG to build Reigns up for a match with Lesnar, then NO I am not excited for the feud, but understand the reasoning.
If this is a feud to actually build both and add character depth to both Wyatt and Reigns for moves up the card, then yes I am interested to see what the WWE is going to do with the feud.
I will add this looking back at the MITB match last night, after Wyatt dumped Reigns, Wyatt himself should have grabbed the briefcase and declared himself the winner even though he wasn't in the match. Would have been nice depth for this feud and would have been a new MITB match result never seen before.

This would actually be pretty cool, but if WWE were to use any kind of logic, wouldn't that make qualification to MITB matches essentially pointless if just anyone in the back can help themselves to the briefcase despite not qualifying?
Re: Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt - WWE Battleground
I really want to see Reigns squash Wyatt. Like, can Reigns get some type of vindication from being screwed by people? This Rollins screws Reigns (& Ambrose) with no payback angle has dragged out for ages and I am not interested in seeing the MITB briefcase version featuring Wyatt. Reigns needs this win.

Re: Reigns VS Wyatt - WHO IS AMPED FOR THAT FEUD??
I'm excited. High profile opponent for Bray and he might win. And even if he loses, it's not like he could sink any further. Bray's promos are going to be interesting as well, and they might even have a great match together.

For me, this feud is pointless. Reigns is winning. Nothing wrong with that, but Wyatt needs, like, some wins especially after looking HORRIBLE in his last match with Reigns. Wyatt has lost his credibility, so winning does nothing for Reigns. This feud does nothing for either party.
Re: Reigns VS Wyatt - WHO IS AMPED FOR THAT FEUD??
Bray and Roman came through tonight! I never expected the WWE to involve Roman's daughter. I'm glad I gave this feud a chance. Bray is such a sick bastard and I liked Roman's reactions (first telling Bray to shut up) and the look of fear he had once he saw his daughter's picture.
Re: Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt - WWE Battleground
Bray is going to lose this. All this match happens to be is just filler to bridge the gap to Summerslam for Reigns. Bray is just there to create some interest for an extremely ephemeral feud.
Re: Reigns VS Wyatt - WHO IS AMPED FOR THAT FEUD??
I am. Wins/losses don't mean too much to me. I'm excited to see anything from Wyatt, and more so two of the best and brightest young stars in the company working together.

Reigns isn't one of the best and Wyatt isn't one of the brightest.
They clearly have no investment in Wyatt whatsoever, he's just the guy that they throw to the guy they really care about to pick apart. Do something significant with him or I don't care.
Re: Reigns VS Wyatt - WHO IS AMPED FOR THAT FEUD??
I am.
Reigns/Wyatt was one of my dream feuds for over a year now. They're both second generation talents and were part of successful factions. But then again, Ambrose/Wyatt was another feud I had high hopes for and it turned out to be a disappointment. Still, I won't write this one off just yet. I'll give the WWE a chance to create a summer angle that pushes them both to the next level. Bray and Roman both need a feud of substance at this point in their career development.
Re: Reigns VS Wyatt - WHO IS AMPED FOR THAT FEUD??
They may put on a good match, but the predictability and Bray's lack of credibility and sufficient reasons for going after Reigns, makes it all pointless.

Exactly. Wyatt is one of the worst characters on the roster because he makes no sense whatsoever. Occasionally it'd be nice to hear one of his 'rambles' end up making a point.
The match should be good. I'd like to see Bray win so Roman has a little struggle before he eventually wins, but I could see this being a one off and Romans puts Bray to rest. That would be the least ideal result for Bray,
Re: Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt - WWE Battleground
The smart move would be to have Reigns lose.Builds more sympathy and prevents him from returning to his feuds with Rollins & The Authority sooner than it's needed.
Re: Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt - WWE Battleground
This feud just isn't going to do anything for either of these guys, Bray Wyatt has been buried since he feuded with John Cena and really needs to win a high profile to get him out of the grave and lets face it he ain't winning against Reigns and what does Reigns actually gain from beating Wyatt from the booking Wyatt has received, won't exactly help Reigns reach that next level also this feud will be very hard to care for as Reigns has already beaten Wyatt after facing two other opponents on that same night
Re: Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt - WWE Battleground
Made a joke in the MITB discussion thread that the WWE was going to try and re-create the Daniel Bryan story with Reigns, and now I am hoping the WWE didn't see my joke and are going to use the idea :mj2
Re: Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt - WWE Battleground
I just hope this is a good, entertaining feud where both of them are somewhat as good as each other to be honest. Hopefully we'll get some good promos out of the two of them, and Reigns has surprised me this year in some of his PPV matches, so I'm not fearing the worst.

At least if they had Bray in MITB instead of Neville, had him go over with surprise help from Harper and Rowan and win the case, it wouldn't matter when he loses to Reigns at Battleground and they'd have a legit beef. As an added bonus, the red-headed stepwrestler wouldn't have the case.
Re: Reigns VS Wyatt - WHO IS AMPED FOR THAT FEUD??
I'm not....not because Wyatt doesn't bring intensity when he is given free rein or that Reigns can't pull off some cool moments but simply because this will be as predictable as anything and everything involving a Reigns feud. He is bound to win the feud. I'd love it if we got some crazy, wild, brutal, violent matches out of the feud, like Austin v Taker, we always had Austin win but at least some of those matches were intense and bloody. Yet we don't get any blood these days, even the chair shots and ladders seemed castrated. So, oh well.
