Do I think people should own numerous guns? No.
Do I think people should walk around armed? No.
Do I think guns are the real issue in matters such as these? No.
I am not in alignment with those who, if given the possibility, would make sweet love to their firearms nor am I in alignment with those who want to destroy all guns for all eternity. Gun control is not an effective solution. Look past the gun to the person holding it. Why are these people using guns in their crimes? What influenced them to do such things? What's the big picture? What can a society do to address these issues in a manner that doesn't resort to binary thinking? How do we move forward? Those are some of the questions that need to be asked. There is a need to move beyond the "GUNS ARE BAD!!!" vs. "I WANNA FUCK MY GUN!!!" arguments.
