No. According to anti gun enthusiasts, you would have to ban cars. It is in turn the tool that does the actual damage and not the person using it. I mean if cars were banned a drunk guy on a bicycle would be a lot less dangerous. Of course this is preposterous. Both a gun and a car are in and of itself completely harness, however extremely dangerous with a mentally impaired individual controlling them.
The media is shit when it comes to gun violence, always looking to stir the pot, looking for drama and ratings. Here in Texas were just about everyone carries a gun gun violence doesn't even hold a candle here compared to gun strict places like Chi town and LA. There have been several instances since that dumb shit in Colorado where a gun licensed citizen has saved the day, or successfully defended themselves against a criminal, but the national media ignores them.
You didn't understand my argument, or just deflecting it. Would I not be right if you were to ban cars that deaths from alcohol would be severely reduced? The more appropriate action would be harsher penalties for drunk driving, like immediate license suspension and jail time for your first violation. And any accident involving alcohol requires an immediate roasting on an electric chair no trial.
Just as with gun control, taking guns away, especially from a law abiding citizen will not solve gun violence. Harsher law may, instant jail time, no bail, solitary confinement, and again roast them immediately for any injuries they inflict.
If you want a real look of what taking runs away from America would be like take a long hard look at Mexico. Pretty soon Americans will be jumping a fense into Canada real quick.
How many people have to die before America sort out their gun laws? It's embarrassing.
Like I've already said, far less people are dying now from gun related crimes than they were ten or twenty years ago, if a problem is getting better on its own why would you want the government to stick their noses in it and "fix" something that isn't broken?
