Wrestlers who could host SNL
I watched an old Rock-hosted SNL today, good episode. Wasn't his first SNL hosting gig back in like '99 a major step for Rocky towards becoming a more household name, proving he could be more than just a rassler etc? I've been thinking about wrestlers from today who could hold their own on the SNL stage, there's a few I'd like to see do it.
Miz is an obvious choice - comfortable in front of the cameras, easily charismatic, good ambassador for the company and not afraid to have a laugh at himself either, I'd love to see Miz get an episode.
Punk is another one I could see excelling in the format - thrives on a soapbox, anti-authority streak, probably not afraid to take some digs in some sketches like most athletes will avoid.
Jericho would shine, obvs.
A more out-there one I considered would be Big Show - At first thought doesn't seem like a fit for host, but he's got some experience on Psych etc, has had some funny skits over the years, and his size etc are ripe sketch fodder.
So, any thoughts?
