Re: Boy, 5, Shoots And Kills 2-Year-Old Sister, Police Say
Arguing with some, not all Americans about guns is just pointless, and I was told that too by an ashamed American at Ewood 10 nights ago. It's not about guns at all, it's about their rights and how they're so ignorant about keeping them irrelevant of how many innocent people are killed by guns. Apparently as long as it's not happening to them they couldn't give two shits. The failure for more background checks being brought it, not banning them was ludicrous and said it all.
How the hell a 5-year-old can be given a rifle as a gift though is just an absolute joke. How is this even allowed to happen? I've read of several incidents similar to this in the last few months where a gun's been left unattended and a young kid has killed their relative with it.
The whole people kill people, guns don't line still annoys me. Take the recent Texas college stabbing for example. 15 people or around that were stabbed, 0 died. Colorado & Newtown, majority shot died. People pull the trigger but guns are so much more easier to kill with, and disarm. I'd be comfortable trying to tackle someone with a knife. A gun's a different story. You're pretty much fucked.
As a Brit I've never needed one or wanted one, feeling the need to protect myself or my family. No one in my lifetime has said they would either and we've never had problems. If Americans want them so much, let them keep dealing with this shit. If it happens to someone they know, tough fucking shit. They've only got themselves to blame. Any sympathy for them is gone as far as I'm concerned. This'll keep happening & happening. It's inevitable.
