I have two stories that come to mind right away.

When I was 17, I was at my 16 year old girlfriend's house and we had just finished having sex. We were both still naked in her bed when her mom came home and stormed into the room. I got dressed and tried to get the fuck out of there but she had blocked in my car. While trying to maneuver my car out of the driveway, the mom came out of the house with a pistol and had it aimed at my head. It was then that my girlfriend's brother came home. He was a friend of mine and we played on the same baseball team. He came running up and grabbed his mom by the arm right around the time she pulled the trigger. The bullet hit my car door right below my side mirror. He took the gun from her and threw it across the street into a field. The mom went inside and he got her keys, moved the car and let me leave. The stupid cunt mom then tried to say I raped her daughter. My parents told her we wouldn't press attempted murder charges if she paid to get my car fixed. Which she did. And that was the last time I ever had anything to do with that chick.

The other time was an incident when I was riding my motorcycle. The roads were wet from rain and I was riding downhill headed towards a big intersection. All three lanes stopped at a green light, because an ambulance was trying to turn in front of them. When I hit the brakes, my tires locked and I started sliding. My only options were to dump the bike and crash into the back of a car or get back on the gas and hope for the best. I somehow miraculously made it between the stopped cars. It was so close that my side mirror hit one of the car's side mirrors. I wasn't in the clear yet though, because when I went through the intersection, I only missed the ambulance by about 5 feet. Fuck me, I had to pull over and stop for a good 20 mins to collect myself.

There are other instances in my life where I could have easily ended up dead but those are the top two on my list.

Damn, that first story is crazy. Well done for getting the fuck out of there!

As for me, I've only really got one and it isn't anything particularly exciting. I was about 10 or 11 and was just walking down the street with some friends. I must have zoned out for a second because I simply started to cross the road without looking while they stopped to wait. I almost got ran over by this big van, but luckily the driver stopped just in time. I didn't even see it until he screeched in front of me and started shouting expletives. Was totally my bad though. Ever since then I've been extra careful when crossing the road. ()

My dad also had one that he's told me a lot. He was about 15 or 16 and was at a football game. This was back in the old days were there was a lot more violence. A big barrage of violent rival fans came in to the stadium and caused a big riot. My dad tried to get out but got stuck against this big metal fence and started getting crushed. He said he couldn't breath or move at all, but then luckily a tiny gap opened up and he was able to sneak away.

I was at my friends party at a swimming pool, i was on top of a blow up crocodile, when all of a sudden i was sprayed by a hose pipe the water was so cold that i fell into the water with the shock i sank to the bottom of the boom because i never took a breath, then all of a sudden my friend swan down and dragged me up from the bottom of the pool. i got out of the pool and was throwing up the pool water

Last summer I went in septic shock after my appendix and a horrible abscess burst, was really badly infected and the appendix was gangrenous too. I was lucky I got in surgery at the right time and brought back, was touch & go apparently for a several minutes.

That sounds painful as all hell. External injuries like cuts and burns can be bad but you don't worry so much because they will heal. When what hurts is inside you, that can be some scary stuff.
