You should make a run in at Rantsmania then. I'll understand if you stab me in the back.

Eh, with social media in particular its generally easy to get a good idea of someone's sense of humour and views through general conversation. Like through facebook I could see a few of them had different views on politics and that but music/TV/football wise they were nye on identical so I had no hesitation I'd get on with them. There are people on here who I can/have trusted with certain stories that I'd generally only share with my friends at home, because I've known them and feel they can offer as good advice as anyone else I know.

You are making some sense maybe its just me being skeptical of people I do not know in person. I do not mind talking with them but I need to remember that they are just words at the end of the day. I think that body language is very important. and you cannot get that from online chatting with mysterious people. Do you think online dating without seing the person can bring true love?

Eh, comparing friendship and love feels different to me. I mean, on this forum politics/religion/crime/drugs and any other hot topic gets discussed in addition to sports, wrestling, TV and Movies. You can make a pretty sound observation of the likelihood of people you'll get on with when you see people discussing these. Plus its not like one disagreement in views will automatically mean you wouldn't get on with someone: Seabs could have political views that differ greatly to my own but would that be too much of a problem if the majority of any conversation I had with him in person was centred on football, TV, music or whatever else I generally have a similar viewpoint on as he does?

Love is different because you could get on with someone immensely online on the dating sites (never used 'em personally but anytime I see it discussed on here people point out the potential success) and then in person, even whilst having a pleasant conversation there might just lack a spark. There's a world of difference between getting on with someone to the extent you'd meet in person for a few drinks, and then someone you'd be willing to relocate to a new area for or eventually even marry.

Basically, on here/facebook you can get a good idea of someone based on their discussions. To me, the people I get on with most on here don't worry me for a second they'd be an absolute cunt in real life. I'd like to think based on the numerous discussions I've had with 'em that I could make a reasonable assumption that barring some real unforseen circumstance any meet up with them would do well to turn out badly. Love is something entirely different though and probably isn't a fair point of comparison for the topic the thread is centred on.

I could. But realistically I don't have anything bad to say about you, a lot of it would be forced. But I also want that illusive Rantsamania pay day. Doing that with Rush would be way easier as we have a love/hate relationship. Given how long I've been here, I think I've been on it once and that was against Cat. But I deserved to just put her over at the time, I didn't have the stature I have now. We'll see, I'm thinking of devious and nefarious means and all that evil shit. My fault for being left off this year as I said, I need to pick it up on here.

I'm not feeling the whole Me vs Rush thing, its like 2 years too late. I wanted to smackdown Redead at WM for his terrorist policies and defend THE AMERICAN DREAM before its completely killed which could be next years given how fucked up this country is.

Make me weep man.

It is so easy to pretend and hide your flaws behind a keyboard maybe your friends on the internet wouldnt like you in person.

It really goes both ways when it comes to 'flaws'. There are a lot of different perceptions on the internet.

Dating and friendship, though, those are obviously two different things when it comes to online relationships with people you have never met. IMO, it's a lot more 'normal' to consider people friends on the internet. There are some people here I consider friends and whom I talk to both here and outside the forum on a regular basis. We see how we act daily and know a lot more about one another than people just randomly passing by in a forum whom you don't develop any sort of relationship towards.

Dating, on the other hand, online, is a little weird to me....I get that you can find someone who has common interests, is funny, interesting, etc., but, I just find it a little weird to say you are dating or 'in love' when you haven't even met....you can have an infatuation with someone online, but, there is a difference between that and actually being in love with someone....I see being 'in love' with someone online the same as how we feel towards celebrities/athletes/etc. that we 'love'. We actually aren't IN LOVE with them, we just want to bone them/suck their dicks, but, to act like there is a deep meaning relationship towards someone you have never met....that is just odd to me.

Not saying it can't happen...but, I think the 'love' part should come after people have met up a few times, not 'we are dating' yet you've never met and live in different parts of the world type of thing.

And here I was waiting for Cat's man to kick the bucket and creep my way in there. Well now I have nothing to live for.

It wouldn't just be you/Rush. It would be You/Me/Rush in a triple threat box office smash blockbuster extravaganza. Again, if nothing else we can just turn on Rush and beat the fuck out of him and get paid. But I may have to step on you to get what I want. I am an asshole still at the end of the day.

I wish I had that kind of faith in virtual people. I just think that chemistry is very important and you cannot tell until you see them in person is all. maybe someone thinks they will get along with you because you like to talk wrestling and they are in love with the image you project, but maybe they will have too big expectations and be disappointed in person maybe so will you. I was just saying that I dont understand how one can consider someone a true friend without meeting them in that persons natural habitat but you made goods points about it. I just see a different between getting along with someone online and considering them friends since that has to do with trust and I have trust issues.
