Ok I will and thank you but my reputation is beyond saving at this point. You are throwing me a floating tube donut with a hole in it. The red will never go away sadly.

Re: Friendship over the internet

Everyone's definition of what a friend is can be different. For me, at my age, pretty much of all of the friends I had when I was younger have all gotten married and moved on with their lives. Many moving away to other cities and states. I've never been much of a social person, so I would say that I tend to have acquaintances more than friends. The people I interact with are at work, and to a smaller extent people on internet forums like this one. I only visit one other forum, and that is based in my home state, where I actually meet other members and hang out (go fishing) with them.

Re: Friendship over the internet

You disappoint me, McQueen. That's the last time, bra. I want you for next year. We have a year, Rock/Cena style. I feel like I have enough to turn heel with, as no wedding/no spot on Rantsamania is unacceptable. Although, realistically my fault as I'm basically a part timer now, so clearly I'd be Rock in this situation.

Re: Friendship over the internet

Rarely will I consider somebody online a friend,Though yes it is possible and I do know a few people online who I talk to regularly and consider as "friends".Yeah they're good people,Wish I could meet them frankly.

I don't know about this forum though.

So close to a full compliment and you just had to include that last bit. Damn it man, just when I see promise stemming from this friendship your old habits sneak back in and force me to question whether I'm putting in too much effort without reward. You're like Cal's puppy in constantly terrorising me when I expect the opposite. Yes I just referred to myself as CAL in this situation, do you think that makes me happy?

On topic: there are a bunch of people on here who I have complete faith in being able to get on with in real life as well as I do with them on here. They know who they are. End of the day on forums etc you're going to find people who share similar interests and thoughts with you which will lead to conversations you'd expect to have face-to-face with that exact person. I went down to London with a few lads I knew from a safe standing forum who'd I'd spoken to for months and who I got in with. Christ I've actually been to 4 separate towns/cities since with them for football/music events. Good solid bunch of lads with similar tastes to me and I don't for one second worry over only meeting them in person many months after knowing them.

That is a touching story Mr.Woolcock but do you think that the opposite thing can happen where you think you will get along because you like similar topics but they end up being dislikable people in person? I believe in getting along with people online but I dont believe in true friendship until you see that person in person to have a better idea of who they are.

Re: Friendship over the internet

Well, I just figured it would give me more motivation to put more effort in on here. A heel turn from me (long time coming, really) and a year long build would be interesting. Although, You/Me/Rush would draw more ratings and sells itself. If nothing else, we can just both turn on Rush. That'd be fun. And that's the main event or at the very minimum co-main so we'll make dat paper as well.
