I don't know what news you're watching but if the suspect is a black man they're putting his picture up even if he's under 18. I think it's hilarious that people act like the media actually gives a damn about whether black people are portrayed in a negative light.

Excuse me if I am more inclined to put creedence in the CSM than something off one of the -chans. The author, if you will note, is not saying that is a photo of the participants. She's using a stock image from 2005 and discussing how some malls require minors to be escorted.

They have tried to cover that shit up since the early 2000's, too, though, I watch local news in my city all the time and they always say "teens" and "youths", they don't mention race, but they always show the guy, so I guess it doesn't exactly matter.
