I smoke, but I don't smoke as much as I used to. I can make a twenty pack of fags last a week sometimes, and I didn't start smoking until the age of 21, about six years after I first tried pot which is bizarre. I detested the smell of cigarettes up until that I point, god knows what made me start.
As for the smoking ban, I'm up for it, as I couldn't stand queueing up at the bar and trying to wade through all the smoke while some numpty stubs his cigarette on my shoulder.
People can do what they want, just don't blow the smoke in my face when you're talking to me.
"Every man's heart one day beats its final beat, his lungs breath their final breath. And if what that man did in his life, makes the blood pulse through the body of others, and makes them believe deeper in something larger than life, then his essence, his spirit, will be immortalised by the storytellers, by the loyalty, by the memory, of those who honour him and make whatever the man did live forever."
Smoking bans by a state or nation on entire industries are shit. Especially in America. The First Amendment allows for freedom of association and assembly. One bar would allow smoking indoors. People who hate getting their balls busted for smoking in a place where EVERYBODY IS GETTING DRUNK would go to that bar. AKA me. People who are too weak to enjoy the wonders of tobacco would go to their pussified bars.
Let the people decide.
Everybody who likes a good smoke has known the experience of not even being allowed to smoke freely outdoors in the real whimpy, womanly cities. You have to smoke in the "Designated Tobacco Region" or whatever bullshit. Everybody who doesn't smoke sneers and glares disapprovingly at you like you are a child molester. Meanwhile, they are cranked out on more caffeine, pills and doctor bullshit than you are! A lot of times these hypocrites are walking TO THE FUCKING BAR THAT YOU WERE FORCED TO SMOKE OUTSIDE OF in the court-ordered leper colony.
personally, i like the little al capone sweet cigars. can't stand cigarettes though, especially being around it in a car, the smoke is suffocating. i think people should smoke if they want, long as they're prepared for the consequences if they make it a long term habit.
I hate it when people smoke near non-smokers like myself, they shouldn't think it is ok to do that. They should just do it at home, in amongst other smokers or in an isolated area and then I have no problem with it, it is their body not mine.
