Re: ANOTHER school shooting.
At least making it difficult to get guns, they are doing SOMETHING. Just something at least.

How about we make it easy to defend aginst guns?
I'm not saying arm people but there are steps we can take besides making it harrar then it is for law abiding people to get guns why the pepole who mean harm can get them just as easy in fact more easy

Sad news, though. At LEAST nobody died in this one, that's something to be thankful for.

Let's at least try and see if restricting access to weapons helps. Sure, if someone really wanted to they could find another way to kill a bunch of people. I don't think anyone would disagree with that. There are numerous cases where people just lose it, are in a bad state of mind, and it doesn't exactly help the situation when there's a bunch of assault rifles in the next room. Make them work harder to create a situation like this, you guys are making it too easy for them.

All the ones I hear about are NOT assualte rifles, in fact very few are, they have them on them but most if not all of the shooting was done with another we peon

Re: ANOTHER school shooting.
i personally don't think anyone needs a semi-auto weapon. i don't support the banishment of all firearms though.
i also support security guards. fuck all the 1984 crybabies. there's nothing wrong with putting officers at schools to help deter crime against children.

Re: ANOTHER school shooting.
I agree that its not needed, but neither is a lot of things like cell phones etc but they are ok
But i think its mute anyways since most are not even close to automatic in school shootings

Re: ANOTHER school shooting.
How'd prohibition work out?
Banning guns just gives organized crime another way to fund their organization and pockets. You ban guns and soon enough it'll be as easy to get as bud. Hell, it's already easy for people to get guns off the record.

Why is it that now people start caring? Over in Chicago, hundreds of school aged kids got shot over the last 3 years and none of those victims motivated the whole nation to start changing gun laws or increasing security at schools or creating scapegoats.

tbf i supported stricter gun laws and school security before sandy hook or w.e. first of all i'm super liberal so i'm not a huge fan of guns in general. second of all i went to high schools with security guards and i personally felt more secure with them around. so yeah i have no problem with it. i probably never articulated this at the time b/c it wasn't a hot button issue, but i've always felt that way. not liberal enough to call for a banishment on all guns though. too many people already have guns that are fucked in the head and i believe people should have the right to protect themselves in their homes. also don't have a problem with hunting. it's the automatic weapons that are a problem. also think people need to undergo psych evaluations before purchasing a gun.
a bunch of crazies are going to claim it's a police state tactic to call for security guards though. federal government security guards at your workplace or something would be police state level shit. keeping kids or anyone from that matter from doing dumb shit in schools isn't police state level shit. that's just looking out for what's right.

Really? I always viewed it as inhumane and cruel. Especially since most of the people are doing it for sport and it's not for food/survival.
