I work with a Polish guy and he's the fucking man. Hardest worker of everybody in the place. That fucker could fix anything as well. He's also a motorbike enthusiast. And, probably most endearing to me, he'll sit and drink with me long after everybody else has thrown up over themselves or passed out.

249,000 polish citizens fought alongside the Western Allies during WWII, after the defeat of their own country. Many others fought with the Soviets.
