This posting *actually* appeared in our local paper's 'Crime Beat':
"A Summerville man reported that he was arrested for domestic violence and while he was in jail he called a friend who was at home at the house at the time of his arrest to find some money he had hidden. The man said he had some $1,400 in cash duct taped to the roof of his dresser drawer in his bedroom.
However, the friend said he could not find the money.
The complainant said that the friend and another friend were at the house at the time of his arrest, along with his live in girlfriend. Officers spoke to the girlfriend, who told them she knew there was money hidden, but that the two friends had left the house before she awakened.
The complainant told officers that he believed on of the friends stole his money and he suggested that the police find the man before the complainant does."
