In regards to that article, it makes a lot of good points. Lincoln did indeed become the most powerful president in history by doing things such as suspending the writ of Habeas Corpus and his shredding of the Constitution. The case can indeed be made that he was a tyrant. While I do believe that his intentions were good in his mind (wanting to keep the Union together), I cannot support the way he went about it. He was the first president, to my knowledge, who completely disregarded the Constitution because he felt he needed to. I'm not as well versed in Lincoln as much as some people are but I think I know enough that I don't hold him up as one of the greatest presidents of all time.
Thanks for those.
CP, almost every administration since the birth of the country has done thins that they could be held accountable for.
Re: Obama to Top Brass: Will you fire on American Citizens?
I will say this. A shit load of tanks came through my town the other day on a train. Weird to say the least. Can't recall that happening as I live right by the railroad. My porch has a perfect view out back during the winter when there are no leaves on the trees. I'm not suggesting anything, but I did find it rather odd.
