I walk to nearby places and take the bus anywhere farther. The bus system in my town is so superior, car drivers are basically frowned upon. Also I sometimes yell at my flatmate and pressure him into giving me a ride on his wheels (alright, I ask him nicely).
A nice bike would be so smooth.

Re: Main mode of transportation?
Owned a car since i was legal age in England. Don't think i'd cope without one in all honesty. It's freedom for me.
I take public transport like cabs or the occasional train if i know i'm going to have a drink and meet for dinner in a city.
Buses generally smell of piss and they are never on time, also some of the teenagers that ride them are knobheads. If i have to i will but i don't like the bus. Plus i've fallen off the seat a few times on the bus because the driver thinks he's doing grand prix on the roundabouts.
The tube is like an underground rat warren but it's London so i'll have a go.
I'd like a Vespa, but i'd not want to wear a helmet.
Trains, only if I don't have to swap halfway through. I have a fear of getting on the wrong train when switching.
EDIT: I passed by bike test a couple of years ago but never got round to actually buying one. Wouldn't mind it, although getting to work only takes 10/15 minutes on a bus so it's no big issue for me.
"Every man's heart one day beats its final beat, his lungs breath their final breath. And if what that man did in his life, makes the blood pulse through the body of others, and makes them believe deeper in something larger than life, then his essence, his spirit, will be immortalised by the storytellers, by the loyalty, by the memory, of those who honour him and make whatever the man did live forever."
It depends on what I'm doing, the gym where I work at is only a short distance from my house so I walk there. If I'm going out on a fri/sat night to the CBD I'll catch a bus in with a friend/s & get a cab back but If I'm going shopping I prefer to go with a car
I bike or walk or get a ride from family/friend. I don't own a car and I don't plan on ever owning one. It's to expensive for me. I would cry if i had to waste $60 on tank of gas. Its like throwing money away.
