Sheeple.
Did you just use the word "sheeple" unironically?

Call me a cynic, but I find it hard to believe he just finally came around to supporting gay marriage after being alive for fifty years and this drastic change in thought came just a few months before an election.

Had he said it in 2010 or w/e, I'd be more inclined to believe him (still wouldn't, but it at least wouldn't have come off as blatant pandering to a voting block just months before an election).

It was a p.obvious political move. He knew that he wouldn't be expected to act on it at all so he just said it b/c it would get a decent amount of publicity for a couple of days. He's a good politician. I'll give him that.

Even if it was a political move, if he actually had a personal change of heart, from being on the fence about it to actually looking into it and accepting it due to the increase of LGBT political activity over the last 4 years, then that's a good thing. That's what's important.

Run on sentence.

a good thing would be him having his own beliefs. but leaving it to a vote on a state level to decide how the people feel about the issue

Obama was fine with gay marriage in the 90's. I'm guessing he sort of backed out of that assuming he'd never get elected being pro-gay marriage at the time, then came back to get some of his supporters a bit more enthusiastic. Let's face it, it's not like he was stealing massive amounts of LGBT voters from Romney.

They weren't going to vote for Romney, but they might have stayed home and not voted at all.

It's a pretty sad society you live in or maybe that's what your little mind glass shatters has convinced you of if you need to carry a gun in public with you. Who else in the world carries concealed, not concealed weapons when in public unless they are trying to be some kind of Paul kersery vigilant off death wish. You seem to spend alot of time talking about guns, maybe you just need to have a root and chill out a bit and realize the world isn't that bad that you need to have guns in public. As far as you saying 'throwing out hypotheticals' guns in public is a recipe for disater. It's something that happens all the time. Two try hard wannabee being real tough with their guns shooting at each other because they think they are actually protecting themselves then some innocent person gets hurt. Even if a innocent person isn't hurt your either Going to be killed, kill someone or off to jail for being a dick and shooting at someone. How much of a deterent is it? Do people even know your carrying? Is it really that bad or are you just paranoid from watching too many crime shows and can't tell the difference between reality and virtual reality. That's what Americans dont understand less guns means less killings, simple maths, take something away less chance off something happening. I know your education system is bad but come on! You do not need guns living in suburbia. Stand by that last bit, didn't call you a redneck, just said your the typical trying to be a hard nut I carry guns look how tough I am, obnoxious American.

There are a shit ton of concealed handgun permit holders you dweeb. There are 40 - let me put that in text for you - FORTY OUT OF FIFTY STATES that are shall-issue. How was looking up "concealed handguns save lives"? Obviously it wasn't too worthy for you, because you decided to grace the forum with this gem. Do you want me to keep embarrassing you with actual statistics as you continue to fart out asinine comments without any proof and just some liberal minded bullshit ideology?

You mad? You irate? You exasperated? You fuming? You upset? Good. Deal with it.

You seem to be lost. Gun control has no net effect on crime rate. They are used in defensive measures as much as they are used in criminal acts. And I'm the naive one?

Oh really? Were these guns purchased legally? Or are you referring to guns that are stolen or illegally owned used in the majority of these "tough guy" incidents?

I tell you what, when someone walks in a convenience store and attempts to rob the place at 2 AM with a weapon, you can cower there with your powdered donuts and Icee with your hands up as you feel helpless and telling yourself, "This poor lad is just a victim of his upbringing and probably needs the money he is stealing to feed his family. He's a good boy.". I'm just going to find cover or act helpless until his back is turned, unholster my weapon and put 3 Hornady TAP FPD's in them. You can sit there with your bleeding heart giving him CPR and thank me later.

If you kill someone in the act of committing a crime against person, that is known as self defense or defense of others and you have every right to do away with such trash. Sheriff's Offices around the country URGE their citizens to carry handguns - LEGALLY.

I don't know, you could have looked this up yourself when I Googled it for you, or you could visit the link in my third response to this bullshit.

Did I not provide a link already showing that 1 in 131 citizens where I live at is going to be victim of a violent crime? Do you even read? Seriously.

Quote:

That answers my question. You don't read, AND you ABSOLUTELY FUCKING SUCK at math. You see that underlined thingy? That is a link. You should click it, and actually read the official FBI statistics on the matter. Crime rates have been falling since 2007, and more guns are owned now than ever. The homicide rate is the lowest it has been in 50 fucking years.

I didn't say you called anyone a redneck. We now go from READING to READING COMPREHENSION.

Do everyone a favor and don't reply. Simply putting words on a screen doesn't make them true. You're full of shit.
