I'm going to participate in what are known as the Spartan Races. There are 3 of them: The Spartan Sprint consisting of 5km and 15, The Super SPartan consisting of 12km and The Spartan Beast which is 20km. The difference with these races are they are riddled with obstacles. I'm doing this because i love a challenge and to raise money for charity. The Alzheimer Society and The RSPCA.
My question is, because i'm not very fit or athletic what sort of training do you all suggest i should be doing and how much of it (I've never done a marathon).
Secondly have you ever done anything for charity that is out of your comfort zone?
