I had a staph infection freshman year of high school. There was an outbreak all over the country, and they found traces of the bacteria in the locker room. I had to stay in the hospital for five days.

Once very stupidly accepted a lift from a drunk driver purely in order to save taxi fare, 5 of us in the car, took a small back road to avoid any police, bad move, car skidded and ended up wrapped around a tree. It was the cliche everyone talks about of time slowing right down and utter terror.
Luckily none of us were hurt but wouldve been a different story if we weren't wearing seatbelts. Had to walk a few miles home in the rain and dude reported his car stolen the next day, sketchy as fuck, never get in a car with a drunk cunt kids.

Luckily I've been quite safe. There a close call in a car with a couple of friends. It was results day and none of us had done brilliantly let's say so were going to McDonald's to essentially get over it. Anyway it was pissing it down and the driver was doing 60 (good driver, and on the speed limit but it was raining), we turned a corner and it turned out there were road works going on so there was a huge line of cars stopped there waiting for a green light. We narrowly missed one and stopped on the other side of the road. Doesn't seem like much but can't help wonder what would have happened if we had either hit the car in front or turned the other way to avoid, where we'd have ended up in a ditch which seemed to be filled with water.

Also got a concussion as a kid. Normally not serious but the hospital apparently made sure to scan my brain because they were worried about potential brain damage.

Got MRSA at 9 years old.. Apparently it was a pretty serious case. I was off school for a month or so and apparently had I not taken the ridiculously sized tablets I was prescribed there was a pretty significant chance of blood poisoning.

Written a lot though just essentially to say no real life threatening experiences but a couple of close calls

Common sense- The Cambridge Dictionary defines it as, "the basic level of practical knowledge and judgment that we all need to help us live in a reasonable and safe way".

Almost got hit by a bus last week. I doubt I would've survived that, the driver was fucking crazy.

I almost drowned at the age of 10. I was in a pool with a friend of mine, but since I can't swim, I never got into the deeper section of the pool. Until that one moment that is .. my friend saved my life.

Then there was a moment where a glass of a table that weighted 20 kgs broke to pieces right above my head. Got lucky big time there. Suffered only some light cuts on my hands.

Was standing on the shore and all of a sudden big wave came and knocked me off my feet and I was going away with it. Luckily my family was there. My mother grabbed my arm and pulled me out.
